I have to admit - I had a lot of trouble getting an appointment here, but it was all insurance and referral business. It took me over a year to sort it all out but as soon as that was cleared up, I finally got my appointment. I had to arrive the recommended 20 minutes early because I couldn't do my paperwork online. The website's forms weren't properly formatted. It took longer than 20 minutes to fill out all of the paperwork. After that was done, they called me very quickly and I was in. The whole visit was extremely professional. Dr. Lesani was very thorogh and right to the point with his suggestions and recommendations. It was a very positive experience and I'm happy I stuck it out with this place. I'll follow up after I have my surgical procedure.

Overall good experience with the Rezum procedure. The assistant was particularly helpful. Some things I didn't realize. The need for a urine sample before they could do the procedure. Wearing snug briefs could interfere with the catheter tubing. It would be nice to have some written instructions after the procedure.

When I first walked in it looked extremely busy. I signed in and was soon called up to check if I pre registered, which I did and gave the verification code. Everyone was extremely polite and the process moved quickly. I was called to my room and immediately greeted by the Doctors assistant that had reviewed my files. I was impressed! This review is actually for Dr. Zhang, who is Dr. Lesani’s physician assistant. I saw Dr Zhang on Monday 03/30/2026 for a check up. The visit went well until I asked him to renew my prescription for Valacyclovir which he had previously prescribed for me 3 months earlier. I had run out of it that weekend. I showed him the empty bottle. He told me to have my primary care physician refill it. The problem was my primary care physician would not fill it without making an appointment to see me. and she had no appointments available for several weeks. I had my pharmacy send a refill request to Dr Zhang later that day, but he never responded. So I had to go several more days without this medication that I needed, until my primary care physician could renew it, and suffered medical consequences due to the delay. This is unacceptable and could have easily been avoided if Dr. Zhang had just refilled my prescription when I was in his office. I did not appreciate his cavalier attitude towards my situation, and will not be seeing him again in the future.

The Video Visit was GREAT. The ability to communicate directly with Dr Lasani was a pleasure. Since I live north my travel time to the visit was 3-5 foot steps, rather than a 30 minute drive and then find parking. I’m sure all visits will not be electronic, yet those that can be will be greatly appreciated. He was a student in Chicago where my doctor there an instructor and referred me to him when we moved her in 2011. It’s been a great experience. Today is March 27, 2026. I am told that Dr Lasani saw me in the hospital but I don't remember seeing him. My two follow up appointments were with his pa-c Haibin Zhang who seemed to be very knowledgeable and helpful. My only concern is that I have been suffering with blood in the urine and pain for a few weeks now. I had blood and urine tests done by my kidney specialist as a test prior to my visit in three weeks. I showed the lab slip to PA Zhang when I was last there and he said she is very thorough. I just got the results and I have a severe infection and very low blood count. He should have ordered these tests himself. I called my primary care Dr. Thai and was given an appointment for tomorrow.

Dr. Lesani has been my urologist for many years. Though I stopped seeing him annually around The Pandemic, several current issues made it necessary for me to see him again.
I much preferred the Smoke Ranch office, closer to my home, but he is now only available at the Sunset office. I chose to continue seeing him at Sunset instead of an associate at Smoke Ranch. I trust him, and he knows my past history, so I will endure the extra miles to see him.
That said, I was not as enamored with the office operations. On entering, I noticed the waiting room was quite crowded. That, in itself, could be a big plus for a medical group. There were 2 people ahead of me to sign in, after which I was told to take a seat, and I'd be called back up "soon." While I was seated, 3 people went up to the desk to ask if they were going to be seen by their doctor any time soon. One man said it was "40 minutes past" his appointment time. This does not speak well of the office system.
"Soon," for me, to be called up for check in was 20 minutes. During that time, a PA called out for a patient named Mike. Two or 3 men named Mike looked up. One of them asked her which Mike she wanted. She ask HIM to call out his last name, saying she was not allowed to do that because of HIPPA. REALLY? If she understood HIPPA, she should NOT ask a patient to ID himself in front of 20 other people in the waiting room, either! Was the staff not trained to use a patient's last initial? Call out Mike B. Mike R. Mike S. Similarly, the sign-in sheet at the front desk is a HIPPA violation, too. As I signed in, I saw the FULL names of 3 patients ahead of me. Don't use pull-off name tabs if you're not going to pull them off. When HIPPA was created, I wrote HIPPA policies for non-profit agencies I administered. Thus, I have the foundation to say that in 2026, most places treat HIPPA like a necessary inconvenience or a joke.
My session with Dr. Lesani was informative and helpful. Check-out was a disaster. There are 3 check-out booths but there was only ONE staff member working check-out. One! I STOOD in the check-out hallway waiting to see her for over 15 minutes.
Very often, there is a huge disparity between hands-on medical care and supportive clerical services in a medical office. That is apparent here. The office staff needs to be augmented and better trained.

Dr. Alex Lesani is the best urologist you can get if you live in Las Vegas and surrounding area. The only doctor with the fellowship and thousands of surgeries done. My experience was that I looked for a surgeon with at least few hundreds prostatectomies a year. He is very skilled, very cooperative, before and after the surgery. I can't have enough words to described my experience with doctor Lesani. He is your best bet if you will need an urologist. He takes time to explain you everything you need to know about the disease and the procedure you must have. Very professional. Also, his staff is very attentive, and I want to mention here Mrs. Zsuzsanna Hood the surgery scheduler, she is very responsive to all your questions right away.

Here are some of my criteria that I look for at my doctor's office.
Appropriate number of chairs in the waiting room
Reasonable period of time before being taken to an exam room
Clean exam room
Reasonable period of time waiting for doctor, while in exam room
A doctor who provides information in "human speak" and
not "med speak"
A doctor who provides time for questions, before standing up and heading towards the door

I don't believe these points are unreasonable.
Regretfully, we have not experienced most items on this list from most doctors in Las Vegas.

Dr. Lesani and his Team are the exception. They check off all of the concerns on my list, which is a welcomed relief. There's no need to bring a book, in anticipation; of a long wait. Waiting time in the exam room is minimal. Dr. Lesani makes a point of explaining tests and procedures in a manner that I can understand.

In my personal experience, I have been a patient at Las Vegas Urology for over six months, and Alex Lesani was one of several doctors involved in my case. Ultimately, despite having an appointment, Lesani did not show up, and suddenly two other doctors were assigned to me both of whom I had to explain everything to from scratch.
From my perspective, the way patients are handled at Las Vegas Urology is catastrophic. Everyone is friendly, yes, but in my opinion completely unable to provide real, effective help.
My frustration is hard to put into words; my medical history now spans over six pages. I can only warn anyone about becoming a patient there. If you truly need help, I strongly advise staying far away from Las Vegas Urology and Alex Lesani.
For example, I have been waiting more than five weeks for a prescription for a pain medication. Phone calls, emails, messages through the patient portal, even visiting the office in person none of it has produced any result. In my experience, patient concerns are ignored for weeks or even months, which has already led to two visits to the emergency room. The first visit cost over $12,000; for the second one I haven’t even received the bill yet. In my view, Dr. Lesani even caused a third potential ER visit due to a surgery he suggested, which fortunately never happened because I decided I would no longer tolerate this situation.
I’ve found similar reports online from others, some of whom say they have contacted the medical board or planned to. I will most likely have to do the same.
Therefore, based on my personal experience, my urgent WARNING is: Stay away from Dr. Lesani and Las Vegas Urology if you genuinely need help. In my experience, you will not be treated fairly there.

Patients suffering from certain issues need a calm and assuring doctors who empathize with them. He just bluntly told me to do an MRI and let me feel hopeless without explaining the reasons why. He was not listening and just based his opinion from comments in his file from the previous doctor. He should listen more and empathize of what his patients are going through.

My first visit was 3 years ago,at the time with so many concerns about health, after talking with the doctor Alex Lesani I was scheduled to do a biopsy of left kidney which was found to have cancer, he performed the surgery to remove the kidney and I am here today in good health and very grateful to have come to his office.

I am very fortunate to have Dr Alex Lesani as my urologist. I trust him implicitly. I am quite certain he is at the very top as the most qualified urologist in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Very well educated and has an excellent bedside manner. Explains things to you in a way where completely understand where you’re at and he makes you actually want to do the best you can for yourself. Also, his assistant Ashley is fantastic. Not difficult to get a hold of and they get back to you quickly if you have any questions. The entire staff is on their a game 100% of the time , I would highly recommend as your urologist if you’re in need of one.

I am a physician myself. I Suffered from severe excruciating pain in my flank and my nurse practitioner ordered an ultrasound which indicated a possibility of a tumor in my urethra/bladder.
My NP referred me to Dr. Lesani. He suggested I have a cystoscopy under general anesthesia but I requested a CT scan to confirm the previous findings and was given an appointment with his PA in 6 months while I was still having extreme pain.
Since Dr. Lesani did not have courtesy to discuss my results with me I tried to read my CT scan results on my patient portal.
This was the worst experience of my life seeing an unprofessional non caring physician.

I am a physician myself, and this was hands down the most appalling, disrespectful, and incompetent “care” I’ve ever experienced. The nurse practitioner who entered the room was completely clueless. When I asked for a recommendation on supportive underwear brands, her response was, “Well, I’m not a guy so how would I know?” — seriously?! That’s the level of professionalism here?

Then Dr. Lesani storms in — no introduction, no eye contact, nothing. His very first words: “Who’s the patient?” His second: “Undress.” No consent, no explanation, just barking orders. He then proceeds to “teach” the nurse practitioner about physical exam signs (clearly she needed it) while ignoring me completely — no acknowledgment, no permission, no basic human decency.

This is beyond horrible. Do these people even go to medical school? How is this behavior acceptable? How is this practice still open? He mumbled a few things, tossed off, “I’m going to refer you to my colleague,” and left. Not once did he ask if I had questions or concerns.

I had to demand he return to the room, only for him to come back dismissive and impatient, and then rush off again — still without asking if I had any questions. Zero compassion. Zero professionalism. Zero accountability.

This was a grotesque display of arrogance, indifference, and incompetence. Either these glowing Google reviews are fake or patients here have been conditioned to accept abusive, “be rude and get away with it” medicine. 0/5 stars — avoid at all costs.

Dr. Lesani is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. First of all, he cut me off immediately when I tried to discuss my symptoms. I had blood in my urine and thought that my first occurrence of gout a week prior might have had something to do with the blood in my urine. Dr. Lesani interrupted me immediately and said I needed imaging tests. He had no interest in what I had to say. The next appointment was two months out with his PA to discuss the results of the imaging tests.

I took a CT urogram with and without contrast in St. George, Utah and received the results a day later and they were both negative. When I called his medical assistant, Andrea to tell her the results were negative and needed a cystoscopy, she got very irritated with me and told me that I should have taken the tests with Steinberg imaging. I then told her that there was no need for me to travel to Las Vegas for imaging tests when I could take those same imaging tests closer to home. She then scheduled a cystoscopy 3 months out.

At that point, I did not feel like waiting the 3 months out so I scheduled an appointment a week later with a urologist in Los Angeles. In one hour, the urologist in Los Angeles performed a cystoscopy and prostate biopsy in office and they turned out to be both negative. When I asked what could have caused the bleeding in my urine, the urologist in Los Angeles said perhaps a broken blood vessel or the crystals from the uric acid went into my bladder from my gout attack. This was the gout attack that Dr. Lesani rudely cut me off from describing to him .

Dr. Lesani is supposedly this famous robotic surgeon. But I found him to be pig headed, closed-minded and disrespectful. Dr. Lesani runs a urological factory in his office and limited dialogue with me.

Cancer waits for no one and scheduling a cystoscope 3-4 months from the initial visit was totally unacceptable.
