My name is Victor Goodman and I actually traveled over 2 hours from Bullhead City Az to see Dr.Garber. My appointment was for 11:15 as and when I arrived at 10am they actually took me very early. After experiencing long wait times at numerous doctors office it was a pleasure to have staff go out of there way to get you in early. Dr Garber is a no non - sense doctor but at the same time steers you in the right direction to better you. Highly recommended this practice

I unknowingly had a tumor growing in my neck. Dr Garber looked at my imaging and said looks like cancer and something is "eating your bones." His words. For 2 months, I had a hard time getting a biopsy and I was back and forth with dead in referral loop to a cancer center. The cancer center reached out to me about brain cancer, not neck cancer. Garber office mistakenly sent the wrong info. Ok fine, we are all human we make mistakes. But his office eventually ghosted me.

I ended up reaching out to Cedar Sinai hospital in Cali via their Second Opinion Program. A surgeon (Dr. Tiffany G Perry) called me from her personal cell phone freaking out and said I am in danger and need emergency surgery ASAP. I reached out to Garber office via text message and told them what I was told. Silence. Thankfully, I was able to get in 3 days later from Vegas.

I'm so upset about how close to danger I was but was ghosted.

Also- I waited hours to see him in the waiting room only to see him for 5 minutes during both appointments we had. His appointments are rushed.

BTW, the surgery performed at Cedar Sinai was a major success and I am beyond thankful.

Spine Surgery Success!

WOW, it's been a year Feb. 12th, 2025. I don't leave many reviews. Feel under qualified. But, now that my back surgery is done. I'm living with no pain from it. I'm very thankful heavenly Father was there guiding my surgeon's hands for the best way to get it done. Living pain free in a day.

How exactly can any surgeon deliver a message through his liason that a hospital patient has to check out and make a follow up appt for surgery. I never chose him for surgery on 8-1-25 after heart attack. I was told nobody else would do surgery for slipped vertebrae because he was doing it coercion. I never agreed to that. Doctors called him to read xrays without my auth. Severe pain since 8-1-25. Can barely walk. Can't go out. At end of rope.

HORRIBLE after surgery care. Did NOT tell you about ALL the side effects from surgery. BASICALLY NEVER returns phone calls, always get answering machine, 2-3 minute office visits, 2 minute office visit phone calls. Had 5 written questions about surgery, after the 3rd 1, he walked out the door. OVERBOOKS appointments as we found out in waiting room, 5 people with the same time appointments. Last email, 2 of them, & phone call made, 3 weeks ago, NEVER returned call or responded back to email, & the inquiry was about 8-10 pain in neck & arms 24-7, YES, he performed neck surgery. This doctor should be investigated by ALL insurance companies & the Medical Board for LACK of after-care. I'd say the worse doctor ever had.

I had a battery replacement done with Dr garber replaced my stimulator battery at silver state surgical center and this was by far the fastest most efficient service surgery that I ever had. Hardly any pain no infection and my incision was clean closure

IF I could leave ZERO stars, I would. No one answers the phone, we’ve left message after message after message with NO ONE answering, let alone returning our calls. In July, Dr. Garber, after “seeing me” less than two minutes (I’m curious what kind of appointment he billed my insurance) without even discussing my April 29 MRI’s, instructed that he wanted me to see a neurologist for both nerve and muscle testing, which I did on August 11. Today is September 23, and we’ve still not heard from Garber’s office about the results nor about a new appointment. We call on a weekly basis and leave detailed messages. THIS is to the point of NEGLIGENCE. Note, I first saw Garber in August 2023.

Dr. Jason Garber – A True Master of His Trade

Dr. Garber is an absolute master of his craft. He’s thorough, straight to the point, and extremely knowledgeable. I went to him for a laminectomy on my L4 and L5, fearing it might be the end of my military career. But thanks to his incredible skill, that couldn’t have been further from the truth.

Just 20 days after surgery, I was able to deploy to Africa and continue my mission. I now travel weekly with the U.S. Army and live an active, pain-free life. He truly gave me my life back.

His staff is equally amazing—friendly, professional, and they remember you by name. His physician Assistant Dustin very knowledgeable and has amazing bed side manner amazing Doctor.
Scheduling is seamless. You send an email, and Lise has everything handled the same day. They impressed me so much, I brought them Crumbl Cookies just to say thank you.

I will always go to Dr. Garber and only him. He is simply the best.

After reading reviews i consider my self lucky for not having Dr Garber perform surgery on me. I paid $300 for him to see me for 5 minutes. He was supposed to get back to me about the cost of surgery. He never did, and his scheduler Lisa never got hold of him. I contacted her several times. I think he uses Lisa, she gets blamed for everything but if she was that bad at what she does, she would lose her job already. At the end I had my surgery in Europe and they treated me with humanity.

I've had the opportunity to actually look at my xrays of the work Dr. Garber and his team have done on me. As well as look at other xrays from various friends who've had similar surgeries by other Doctors. There was such an obvious difference between my surgeries compared to others that it is impossible to ignore. One friend of mine even said that comparing our two surgeries was "night and day". The level of percesion in Dr. Garber's work is absolutely amazing! One doesn't have to know anything about the surgical process to look and compare the quality of work that Dr. Garber and his team do. And the results are even more amazing. Dr. Garber gave me back what seems like 20 years of youthfulness to my life! From an appearance stand point ..what i see in the mirror and other by just looking at me. I’m sure Dr. Garber is a good doctor however that office is a mess. You can’t get anyone to answer the phone if you’re in pain and you expect an appointment forget it you might as well self medicate cause they ain’t gonna come back to you and give you an appointment I’ve tried for weeks. Very disappointed. Dr. Garber never met me before. He walked into the exam room, spent a minute looking at my MRI, asked me how I was feeling. After 3 weeks of extreme pain, I told him I was finally feeling better. He said he couldn't improve on better. I tried to ask him several questions, but he was dismissive and walked out of the room. I saw him maybe 4 minutes tops. I guess if he's not going to make money off of me he can be rude.

I have been a patient with Dr. Garber since a car accident in 2007. He has managed my shunt, my fusions, and my occipital nerve stimulator. He is the only neurosurgeon I will go to in Las Vegas. He is attentive, professional, caring, and extremely knowledgeable in the field for my multiple medical issues. His staff is simply awesome. Dustin, the PA, and Lise (the surgery scheduler) in particular have helped me beyond measure. I have had ease getting appointments scheduled, in-depth care, and surgery scheduled amazingly fast. Dr. Garber is a doctor I trust completely with my health and my life. I have no hesitation recommending Dr. Garber for all neurosurgical care. Before my last back fusion I was on serious pain meds and needed a walker. He gave me back a quality of life I couldn't dream of. The occipital nerve stimulator for migraines treatment was experimental when he put it in. 8 years later, I have reduced the frequency and severity of my migraines. I have had 3 back surgeries with Dr. Garber. I will always go back to him for my back issues. He is professional and has really good bed side manner. He knows exactly what is wrong and fixes it. Dr. Garber did my sons back surgery back in 2017 & botched it. My son never improved after the surgery, had even more pains. To find out after a new MRI last May it is still not fused & my sons new surgeon told him, that Garber used an 15-20 year old methods of back surgery he should had never used. He was shocked to see my son MRI of Garber work. My son was told that it needs to be redone. We do not recommend him.

Dr Garber performed my back surgery when I found out that my spine was severely fractured. I needed an infusion done and Dr. Garber came highly recommended and now I know why. He was the lead surgeon, with the help of Dr. Cottrell, that performed the surgery. I was under Dr. Garber's care for about a year and the caring and professional way that he had with his patients never changed. He explained everything to the fullest and made sure you understood. Dr. Garber has done 2 fusions on me: C4-C5, and L4-S1. He is the best! I wouldn’t go to another spine surgeon, ever! I won’t lie to you: lumbar fusion surgery is a DIFFICULT RECOVERY! I’m 18 months out, and still need PT. But that is my slow healing, nothing to do with the surgeon. He is phenomenal, and I recommend him to anyone I know who needs spinal surgery!

I am one month post surgery , fusion on my L4-S1 , I have been in progressively worsening pain for 18 years and was almost bed bound, I had no life, now my pain is in control and I am able to tolerate short outings to the store with my husband, I am very pleased with my outcome so far, I had been told that Dr. Garber was good by my Cardiologist and others, and I have to agree, he and Dustin made sure that all my questions were answered and that I was safe to have surgery. May be the most wonderful Dr in the world but I will never find out. I was referred to this Dr by a client as I have a very bad back issue.
HOWEVER the office staff is terrible and the amount of forms (18!!!) you have to fill out to get in, I just gave up. They canceled my appointment the day of after waiting 3 weeks and postponing international travel to see him. Due to "referral" issues from my PCP not being correct!
I am so annoyed.

Beware of Dr Garber if, you are in the workers comp system. Dr Garber lies to your face and he will do what ever the insurance system asks him to do regardless of your medical needs. Even when you cant walk and have to be assisted into his office, he will tell you his hands are tied instead of admitting you to the hospital or give you a shot to relieve the pain. Dr Garber only cares what the workers comp company wants, not what the patient needs. Be warned! Don't let your attorney send you to this doctor.

Highly Skilled surgeon, but has no bedside manner. Always quick to cut you off and leave the room. If you have any concerning symptoms, you'll never get to finish a sentence. His assistant Dustin is wonderful and tries to relay your concerns to Dr. Garber, but he cuts Dustin off mid sentence too. I don't think I've ever seen dr. Garber for more than 10 seconds!

Like another comment below , I been calling Lise for a surgery date sometimes 3 times a day I'm in so much pain I can hardly walk anymore, but she doesn't return my calls and there's no way to talk to someone! Yesterday I was Able to talk to Brandy but still no call from Lise and she lied to me about sending my CTA test results to the anesthesiologist and every time I have to have something done she doesn't return my calls. Either she doesn't care or she's overloaded with work .

Don’t ever see this doctor due to the fact that all I heard out of his mouth was Ca Ching Ca Ching Ca Ching. He wanted me to have gastric bypass surgery before he would even consider operating on my back. I told him that I came in for a degenerative disc and had been on pain medication for 15 plus years and had a stimulator surgery installed in my lower back.
Then that only took about 30% of the pain away so I then had steroid injections and that only helped two days. So now he would not due the surgery because of my weight. I’m 306lbs and I’m disabled from a bad motorcycle accident in 1996. This doctor is a joke and I’m informing the public on this doctor’s way of taking care of patients. Don’t even think of using this doctor for any of your needs. I’m going to find another
spine doctor and hopefully I can live longer. I’m in so much pain that I don’t have the desire to live any longer so I’ve got to find a doctor that really cares about their patients.

Doesn't spend time with his patients, walks in and walks back out, and they cost me money after surgery because Lisa didn't help with getting my pain med's I needed with insurance so I had to pay cash, I would go elsewhere like I am . update i just seen a new back surgeon and got help actually this time . Jammed into a tiny room, temperature turned down to 55 degrees and insulted numerous times to start the “ime”. Not sure if this is a doctor at all. Was rude and had to ask him why he was being so aggressive on numerous occasions. I thought doctors signed oaths not to do these things felt pretty attacked. Staff was really nice and the PA was extremely informative. He answered all my questions before the doctor came in. Dr Garber is very good at what he does and answered my questions without beating around the bush. If you need to see him for a consult, do it ASAP he’s a very busy doctor. I’m so glad I went with my intuition and proceeded to consult with him despite the long wait for a consult. I will be continuing my care with Dr. Garber.
