LESS THAN ZERO STARS. Intermountain healthcare knows nothing of healthcare. You can't talk to anyone. You call and get people that pass on messages. They won't pass on the message until they've asked you 47 questions. My 88-year-old mother broke her leg on a Sunday. She had surgery where they placed a rod in her femur in a plate on it to hold the bone together. On Tuesday Intermountain healthcare released my mother to Coronado Ridge skilled nursing center. Coronado ridge is filthy. I had to plunge the toilet in my mother's room. There was an uncapped dirty needle under her bed. After having physical therapy at the hospital and being up walking around, the nursing center said they had to evaluate my mother and would not let her get out of bed. They put a diaper on her and let her sit in it for over 14 hours. It took her almost 24 hours to get wound care. Apparently blood seeping out of a bandage is not enough to get anyone to check on you. After making literally 100s of phone calls, it didn't get any better. I had to remove my mother from that care facility. There was no other place to take her. She is at home. Again I stress, she is 88 years old and they hammered a rod into her femur. They sent my mother home with no wound care. There was no home health care set up. There is no physical therapy set up. They didn't even give her pain medication or an anti-inflammatory. She's been taking baby aspirin. If you think that helps the pain, you're sadly. I have called repeatedly to get someone to help my mother. Every time there is a process s of it was the first call. You leave a message. It takes two days to get a call back. That person says they're trying to get it scheduled and they'll get back to you. No one gets back to you. There's a 30% mortality rate for the kind of surgery my mother had. She's strong as an ox. She should have been up and walking and feeling great by now. Instead, she's crying because it hurts and struggling to get to the bathroom on her own. She did that just fine in the hospital. Do not give your money to Intermountain healthcare. Do not trust your life, your health or your well-being or that of a loved one to those people. I'm pretty sure they're going to kill my mother. This is a travesty and no one an Intermountain healthcare gives a damn.

I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive when I found out my primary Dr. Roy Perlot was leaving the practice and Dr. Cruz would be taking over his patients, me obviously being one of them. I felt Dr. Perlot understood me personally and how my illness affected me, and now he is leaving, I was worried about the new Dr. and having to go over everything again and get her to understand me. But I have to say to my surprise, Dr. Cruz was great, she had already done her homework on me, she didn't try to change what was already working, and she listened to my concerns, and made me feel at ease, not to mention her outfits are always on point, which is nice, she is a good doctor and you can guarantee that if you call in with an issue or a prescription refill she has it taken care of that day or very quickly, that shows me she cares about her patients, and most importantly she listens, I really couldn't ask for a better doctor.

What a difference in how I was treated as a patient. Finally deciding not to be abused by a doctor that lacked compassion, respect and basic medical knowledge I switched my primary care doctor.
My new physician not only read up on my medical history but was prepared with an actual plan to facilitate me to get healthy again. Dr. Devine Averilla made me feel comfortable and actually took the time to talk and listen to my current situation and needs.
This was the first time a doctor not only preformed an actual exam (stethoscope, feeling lymph nodes etc.) She talked to me directly and not over a laptop.
Dr. Averilla not only gave me referrals but recommended ways to improve my health. She stated that she cares and needs me to help her to get my health back.
I have been through many health crisis (brain surgeries, back fusion, pain management along with other issues) now I am going through the process of dealing with cancer.
I am comfortable with my new doctors knowledge and her compassion to help guide me through this new medical diagnosis. Knowing that she cares and addressing my questions and concerns as they are unique to me will be of great help to me on my road to a quick recovery.

I am new to the area. My goal was to be established with a senior health care facility. I was totally shocked to discover that this “senior” facility does not accept Medicare. And, since my supplement follows Medicare guidelines they won’t accept them either. I have to wonder how many seniors are unable to seek medical attention at this facility due to the fact that most are covered by Medicare.
