My first visit was this past Friday. I was thoroughly impressed with Dr DeVera. He is a careful listener. He wants you to be in charge of your health and gives you the tools to live well. He is knowledgeable and thorough. Our family just moved to the Vegas area about 6 months ago, I wasn't sure we would find a primary physician. We had a couple of medical emergencies within our family that required hospital stays. One of the doctors at the hospital gave us Dr DeVera's name as someone to call to set up care. I am glad we did. We have confidence we have found the right doctor.

Both my partner and I see Dr. Devera and he is wonderful however the support team - not so much! We have been trying to get a request to the doctor for a week now and have left several messages (as you cannot get anyone actually on the phone when you call!!!) and have yet to receive a response! Recently, I visited Dr. DeVera and I'm so glad to be under his care once again after not seeing him for a while. I started the process online, then I communicated with his office in the most positive and professional manner before my scheduled appointment. Upon arrival, I noticed the wonderful new space, positive office team interaction and the quick check-in process. I was kindly greeted and shown into an examination room and was seen by Dr. DeVera shortly thereafter. Dr. DeVera took the time to go over any and all health concerns since our last visit and a thorough approach was initiated. Also, I met with Dr. DeVera a week later to follow up on a health plan and positive approach moving forward. I'm so glad to be back in the care of Dr. DeVera and his medical team!

The Greatest Primary care Doc I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I used to go to the location inside the spring valley hospital. It was always a 5 star experience. The staff was kind, attentive, and very fast. This is the only clinic I've ever been to where they actually respect appointment times and I can be in and out. I've since moved out of state and I constantly compare all my experiences to the level of care I would get with Dr. De Vera. His care is unmatched. He's patient, knowledgeable, and not judgemental. I had been sick for the last 3 weeks and was considering going to urgent care, but Dr. Rommel DeVera and his staff were able to get me scheduled the same day. This isn't about the DO specifically but the office NEVER answers the phone. So you can't make an appointment. It always goes to VM. It doesn't matter if you call in the morning or afternoon or multiple times. There's no way they can be that busy. Appointments already take weeks if you can even get them to answer. The absolute worst.

This front desk staff is the absolute most incompetent non organized staff I've ever dealt with. Everytime Dr devera gives me a referral the front desk ALWAYS sends me to a provider that doesn't accept my insurance. Even Devera has gotten frustrated with them about this happening over and over.
The lady with the accent is SO RUDE ! Everytime we deal with her over the phone and in office. Always an attitude and unprofessional. Getting someone on the phone is always impossible. I always have to go into the office to make appointments. I had a pregnancy emergency and needed to be seen by a specialist within a week that my ObGYN referred me to (whome needed my PCP (Dr devera)) to send a referral in for my insurance to cover the procedure. When I called Deveras office and explained the situation the lady with the accent (idk her name) said I'd have to make an appointment to come in bc I haven't been seen in 6 months. WHAT A JOKE. Make an in office appointment just to send over a referral. Even after explaining the emergency and time sensitive matter that they needed this referral asap to see me asap, she kept an attitude and put me on hold just to tell me they would call back. They never called me back knowing the emergency and time sensitive circumstances. I highly suggest staying away from this unprofessional practice. I am disgusted by the unprofessionalism and insensitivity. Discontinuing my family from ever stepping foot into this insensitive trash can of a practice.

I heard great things about Dr. DeVera from fellow nurses who have him as their PCP. His office staff is another story. I scheduled an appointment on July for October 3, their earliest available. I was 15 minutes late as I still came from night shift duty. The lady in the front desk said I was already kicked out of the system and the next available appointment is on February. I know it is my fault that I was 15mins late from my 8am appointment but why is it that when doctors are late, it is okay? There was no one else in the waiting area. I needed this. They could have been more compassionate but instead the lady talked to me as if what I did was a crime. She was not nice but I just said thank you and left.

MAY 1ST 2024, Was my first appointment and I felt so comfortable. He arranged several referrals that my other doctor neglected. He is a cheerful person who makes me feel safe and calm. Even my blood pressure was down because I wasn't stressed out like I was at my other doctor.His office staff was welcoming and compassionate. * As of June 4th I have been having issues with Dr DeDevra's office staff and calling his office in regards to prescriptions . Rommel DeVera is a great PCP and I've enjoyed his care but due to this recent experience with his front desk team I am changing PCPs.

In my recent appointment I was 15 minutes late and they refused to see me. The front desk lady was unprofessional and unhelpful. She was also on her phone... The next available appointment was 3 months away.

I'm extremely disappointed in having to write this. Dr. DeVera was previously the best doctor who I had ever seen. However, Im not sure what has caused the changes with the management of his office but they are stressful and are currently causing quite a few issues that are causing the positive health gains I had experienced with him, to regress.
The main issue Im having with his office right now is the lack of communication and not being able to obtain medication (needing a prior authorization) . I will call the office and no longer actually have the availability to speak with (or have a retuen call) from his nurse, and cant get the info I need based off the automated phone prompts. Since Jan 1, I have called 12 times and only have had 3* calls back from them.
The prior authorization was recently rejected because the office didnt provide my diagnosis or labs. If I knew this was needed to obtain my medication, Im not clear on why they didnt.
I really am disappointed because I expected more because of the type of doctor I thought I knew Dr. DeVera to be. However once there seems to be no regard for my health (and to remove the personal aspect - when any doctor no longer seems to care about the health of their patient) thats a serious problem.
I'm hoping this review will help me get some resolution. But thats a problem in itself when a poor review gets more attention than phone calls, voicemails and portal messages asking for assistance.
*As I was writing this I did get a call back trying to address this issue, but its almost too little too late as this is an issue almost a month in the making.

I wish I could give zero if I could. My wife has been without her medication for over a month now and while they have had the request from the pharmacist for going on three weeks, still no approval form Dr Devera's office for my wife's prescription. When we call we have to leave a message and are left at the mercy of the staff to call us back, which has not been happening until after leaving multiple messages. For these reasons me and my wife will be going elsewhere because this is unacceptable. Update responded to me within an hour but my wife is still without prescription and still waiting for a response from the doctors office left another message today and still no response yet.

I have found him to be easy to talk to about any issue, professional in his approach, and preventative in his measures during health issues. My husband was looking for a holistic D.O. who wouldn't just see you for 5 mins and then prescribe you on a bunch of long term pills. Dr. Rommel De Vera has a great, patient bedside manner. My doctor recently moved away and I was in search of a new primary care physician. It’s really hard to find a practice in the valley where the doctor is knowledgeable and spends adequate time getting to know you as a patient and the administrative staff is friendly and competent and I have to say I found both with Dr DeVera. I have been with Dr. De Vera since they first opened. I really struggled with finding a provider that listens and takes the time to find out what are causing my issues.
