My experience with this office was very disappointing from the start. My referral was sent here without anyone asking whether this was the provider I wanted to see.

When I called, Luna scheduled my appointment and instructed me to bring my medication list, insurance card, and photo ID. While I understand those are standard items to bring, I asked whether my referring provider had already sent my medical records, including my medication list and test results. Instead of receiving a clear explanation that my records had been received and that bringing my medication list was simply a routine verification, I was left feeling confused and concerned.

Because of that experience, I called back and spoke with Anna. I explained my concerns and requested to speak with the office manager. Anna confirmed that the office had received my records but did not fully address why the earlier communication was unclear. She took a message for the office manager to return my call.

As a new patient, clear communication and reassurance are extremely important. Unfortunately, this experience left me questioning whether my care would be handled with the attention and professionalism I expect from a medical office. I hope this practice improves its communication with future patients so they feel informed, respected, and confident in their care.

I have been to this site several times and I have always had great results with the front staff and several of the doctors. Dr Gandotra was very thorough and very knowledgeable and pleasant. I had the best experience with their PA Guadalupe, she was so knowledgeable and thorough with everything we talked about. I could not have been happier about a doctor visit than how she made us feel. An “A” plus for having such a wonderful person on your staff, thank you very much. Overall the entire experience was amazing and I will be coming back.

I really want to give a night thanks to DR CHANG ive been to 3/4 other gastroenterologist im a complex case unfortunately at 27... I've tried everything possible to get these doctors to listen and the only one that has ever treated me more then just a number... was dr Christopher chang no matter how frustrated I get he understands my situation hes done every testing possible imagining he has booked me in last minute called back every time my wife calls I dont know what I would do without him he assured me hes gonna do everything in his his power to get me better hes battled with my insurance to get me approved for medications and testing he even sent me to the mayo clinic in Arizona the only doctor that has ever even brought that up physical therapy gastric emptying test endoscopy colonoscopy hes never given up you can tell he has the passion and love for his job and dedication to his patients he has been god send for me and my family while other doctors just gave up when things get complicated and stopped helping hes fighting and fighting for not just me but for me to have a better life for me and my kids I couldn't ask for a better gastroenterologist THANK U DR CHANG MAY GOD ALWAYS BLESS SO U CAN KEWP HELPING MANY MANY MORE PEOPLE 🙏🙏

Dr. Gandotra is hands down the best gastroenterologist in the Las Vegas/ Henderson area. I have been to 7 different gastroenterologists over 5 years trying to get well and after seeing Dr. Gandotra I can say I am finally getting better. My appt was for test results.
The visit was 10 minutes with the dr. My complaint IC the waiting time. I waited over an hour. 1 hour and 20 minutes to be exact! There is really no excuse for waiting that long for something that could be done over the phone!
Otherwise , everyone is nice enough. Dr is great.

I see Dr. James Han at this practice and am incredibly happy with my care. Dr. Han listens, explains things, and genuinely cares about his patients. His treatment plan has given me my life back after struggling with debilitating UC symptoms. The staff here always communicates with and is warm and friendly each time I visit. I have had at least two procedures done here. The procedures and my doctor was great, but when you try to call the office you hardly ever get anyone to respond to your voicemail or text message. The front office is great but trying to get someone from the staff his hard. There was one lady at the front desk that helped me awhile back she gave me her name and told me to ask for her. I still have the sticker with her name but I could not understand her writing.

Go somewhere else. I unfortunately did not get Dr. Gandotra and got Dr. Han. I felt as if he never listened to my issues and I chose this spot due to it being near Charleston, but I kept having to go up all the to centennial to his office. Their team never responded to me in the patient portal, took forever to answer calls, and took even longer to get my medical documents because they misheard my email 3 times. I had to view my own documents to see what I even got diagnosed with. Even when I informed them I’m switching, they attempted to follow up with me that I missed my appointment. Horrible communication between staff.

I liked my GI doc here but yeah no to the surprise billing after. None of the things I got billed for were needed, I won’t be paying the $450 from the unknown pathology lab either. I went in for a throat issue not stomach polyps.I’ll find someone else next time. Oh and the wait at this location sucks.
Also, their billing system seems fraudulent as the website at the bottom of the bill doesn’t exist and the person who answered the billing questions phone number seems fishy too. They were trying to say that my last copay was applied to something else and I still owed the $65. Any future patients beware, this whole place might be fraudulent…

I became a patient about 6 weeks ago. I saw Guadalupe Dominguez. I cannot tell you what an awesome, knowledgeable, intelligent provider she is. Everything went so smoothly and my expectations were more than met. I will always be grateful for the kind beside manner (even when possible not good results) she has given to me. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My first RX was denied but her staff worked with insurance and pharmacy to get the medication I needed covered small co pay. If you need a gastroenterologist this is the place you want to come to. I have been to many Gastro Offices and endo colon procedures in Vegas. This office is not best location or the best front office sometimes in the past. But staff has always been nice from what I seen, but calling can be an issue if they are busy but the Dr. is truly amazing. He takes his time explaining everything and truly cares. His knowledge is well above anyone I have seen. Within minutes of explaining problem he identified issue ,no Dr could solve for years. The location he does procedures is amazing and the cleanest safest around. Staff that do the actual procedure with him are all super nice and professional.
There is a reason this place is always packed, Dr G is the best! Folks get your colonoscopy done, it can save your life. My Brother at 52 lost his lifewhen he thought a stomach ache was an ulcer. It was polyp that turned to cancer unknown to him. 6 months later as pain got worse he finally went to ER where they did colonoscopy it was to late ,30 days later he died. Theres a reason they say to start to do test at age 50, Dr G is the best at finding problems before they get big,dont put it off.

I'm disappointed that I never got to consult with the doctor at all. The only time I ever saw the doctor was for 20 seconds before the anesthesiologist put me to sleep for my procedure. My follow-up appointment after the procedure was with a nurse instead of with the doctor so I never got to speak to the doctor about the findings or get any advice. I was given some sample medication by the nurse. When I got home and googled the medication to educate myself it appears the nurse gave me incorrect info about it. When I had questions prior to my procedure I could not get a hold of anybody.

2 hour wait time!
Never saw the Dr except during my colonoscopy, but he’s very personable unlike everyone else. Rated two stars instead of one just for him.
NP Thelma is rude, unhelpful and rushes you out.
I requested my records months ago, followed up multiple times and they are still not sent.
My entire system is inflamed, from esophagitis to colitis, I have chronic cramping and bloating, and all she said was to take Pepcid. Offered me no medication. Ridiculous! Classic Vegas healthcare!

Update since having my procedure: everything went as smoothly as possible. I had one of the very first morning spots, which I would recommend given other comments that the surgery center is very busy and gets behind later in the day. I walked in when the doors opened, immediately checked in and registered and barely sat back down before they had me back to change and get my IV started. I have woken up during three previous colonoscopies and was afraid it would happen again. I let the anesthesiologist know, and he assured me I would stay asleep. Next thing I knew everything was over and I didn’t wake up until recovery. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience all around (except for the prep. That’s always awful, but nothing you can do about that!)

I haven’t had my procedure yet, but after reading previous reviews I wanted to give my review for the office staff. A lot of the previous reviews have commented on how difficult they are to get a hold of on the phone or schedule with. However, my experience has been great. I have had to change appointments a couple of times and I have had zero problems. The phone is answered promptly and the staff has been super easy to work with. Whatever problems they might have had previously seems to be worked out now!

Staff makes zero effort in informing you about expected fees and worse isn’t helpful when proactively ask about it. After taking care of multiple invoices that I didn’t know I would need to pay (all for one service), I just got another text message months later stating that I have another new balance I now need to pay (and up until now I’ve paid each new bill in full every time at the time of my appointment). Worst experience from a specialist I’ve had to deal with in my life.

I had a colonoscopy and an upper scope whatever that is called, and after the procedure, I was really worried because it said something that About a biopsy and I was freaking out. And it was on a Friday so I had the entire weekend to dwell on it, which is sad that I do that, but when you see the biopsy words, you stress out. I left a message on the Doctor portal, and he called me on a Saturday to calm my nerves and make me feel better. That is something you just don’t see anymore and I was very impressed that he took the time on a Saturday to call me. He’s an amazing doctor and has a great bedside manner and very friendly.

I've been in colitis remission for over 10 years now and these doctors don't really care about your health they want you to keep getting worst so that they can perform a very expensive operation. And another thing they treat me like I am not worthy or intelligent enough to talk about the condition and the proper strategies to combat against future inflammation flare-ups that lead to a visit to the hospital and an antibiotic treatment of 2 weeks which is harmful for your immune system.. they do not care about your health they care about your insurance money.

Absolute garbage service. They prescribed me a medicine that costs $174 for an colonoscopy flush (which is completely unnecessary) and I’ve called 3x and messaged on the Klara app that they say they use on their website 4x and I’ve gotten completely ghosted. Do not go here, you might get in for appointments but any questions or follow-ups, they do not care about you once you swipe your card.

No one at this office answers phone calls or calls patients back. Also no one bothers to use the encouraged text message system. I will be going to a new doctor that I can reach when needed and will be cancelling my endoscopy and colonoscopy with this place. They are extremely busy. The closest appointment is always at least a month away, even for follow ups. You also have to wait at least an hour before you get to be seen and then some 20-30 mins more after the nurse has seen you to see the doctor so you are spending a lot of time just waiting. They have multiple signs in the saying they are sorry if they are delayed since other patients might have complex or multiple programs. If it is a known issue, enough to put up signs, it means they are aware and aren't willing to make changes to fix it. One time I also requested the first appointment of the day so I wouldn't have to wait 1.5 hrs; I got there 10 mins early and I still had to wait 35 mins past the appointment time.

I had a procedure done and when I was called to schedule a follow up, I asked if this was included in my procedure and I was told it was. When I got to the office, they told me it wasn't included and I would have to pay for that visit as well. I understand that it is an office visit and OK with paying but if I ask if I'm going to be charged, they tell me "no" and then I get charged, it's really unprofessional. They told me I was given "false information" and there was nothing they could do about it so there is clearly a lack of internal communication.

As for what I went in for, the doctor couldn't figure out what the problem was, he just kept asking for more labs, more procedures, more visits and couldn't solve the issue. I had some lab work done by my PCP twice and Dr Han asked to do those same labs again. We obviously got the same results and he didn't know what they meant... his solution was more labs. Later I realized these 4th sets of labs were the same as the first ones my PCP had ordered. He just kept asking for the same labs without checking what my PCP had already done. Once I got some results and I called to see if they could tell me anything I should do immediately, they told me I had to go in....So I had to go in and pay again (even though one of those visits he told me he didn't know what the issue was so what did I pay for?).

I tried calling the medical assistants for some follow up questions but they never answer any calls. The front desk tells me that they are at their desk and they will transfer me and they still don't answer (I tried this 3 times and they never answered).

Overall, I am having to get a second opinion so I wish I had gone to a different doctor from the start. I usually post pros and cons on my reviews but I couldn't find any positive things here.

The front office staff is extremely incompetent. I have an appointment for colonoscopy on Monday and I still haven't received my prep medication. The pharmacy and my insurance plus myself have been trying to get ahold of someone because my insurance needs a prior authorization to cover the medication that was prescribed. There has been no response to my calls and messages sent through your useless klara system. I'm extremely pissed off on the level of stupidity this office staff has shown. The sad thing is that this seems to be more and more common with front office staff in the medical field. I don't understand why these doctors are unable to find proper staff to run there front offices. I guess they should pay more or screen there employees better but something gotta change. I'm done with this doc.

I do not leave reviews. I love people and I love customer service and I love professionals. However, my experience here was the first time having any procedure or health issue. This is the start of my journey: getting an endoscopy, told that I have a hiatal hernia. Doctor told to meditate more, no need for surgery. (with a YouTube meditation referral) then a year or two goes by and I am having extreme pains and my doctor sends me to the Gastro again. The nurse or assistant says “what would you like an endoscopy or an ultrasound?” Well, I am not a professional doctor. I was sent there to find out what was going on with mystery pains. I understand they don’t have all the answers but why would she ask me? I’ve already had an endoscopy year prior; I’m not a doctor so Unprofessional telling me I need to be on the antacids. What if I didn’t have any acid to begin with and also the nurse is telling me I need to be on that medication 4 life.. So last year I go back because I need a colonoscopy to help find what the problem is. I get scheduled for a colonoscopy one day and then the very next day I have to go back for an endoscopy! Day of colonoscopy, Dr Gandotra says”why didn’t you just do it together yesterday”? I said “I do not know doc,. I told them over the phone. I have a colonoscopy scheduled this day and they scheduled the endoscopy for the following day”. instead of doing them together, I had to get put under two days in a row. So scheduling, mannerisms professionalism all went out the door with each department.

I am reviewing on behalf of my mom. She had an appointment with Thelma a few days ago. Thelma was in the room for less than 2 minutes while she proceeded to tell my mom that she does not have Ulcerative Colitis anymore, even though my mom is actively in a flare. She told my mom she needs to do a bunch of tests that she has already had done numerous times to rule out illnesses that have already been ruled out by multiple doctors. She refused to renew my moms medical paperwork for work and walked out before my mom could even ask any questions

DO NOT COME HERE. DR. THELMA-ARARACAP CANNOT BE TRUSTED. It's been hard to communicate with them from the beginning. I could barely get an answer to make my initial appointment, now that I am a patient and experiencing a flare up, I am trying to contact their medical assisting line. I have not been able to get an answer for 2 days, they want me to leave a voicemail when all I'm getting a busy tone, I can't. I've left a message with their system, no answer. 72 hours to get a response to a medical assistance line? For people with chronic illnesses that can land them in the hospital in less than 24? They don't care lol.

Edit: I've been seeing this office for 2 years, have had 2 colonoscopies, 2 endoscopies, and several labs, while having to continuously go to the hospital because they cannot diagnose based on the colonoscopies. After being hospitalized again, she ordered a third colonoscopy, instead of doing a capsule test to even try to see the areas that cannot be seen. This screams I just want the money from insurance. Meanwhile I have lost jobs, and homes due to being unable to get any sort of diagnosis. They aren't looking for the issue, they are looking for money. If you are looking for an actual solution do not come here.

Trying to find a decent Gastro Dr. in Las Vegas is proving to be very difficult. I just called this office to ask questions about obtaining care for my husband who's experiencing bleeding. Since Dr. Vishal Gandotra appears to have great reviews I decided to call.

The person I spoke with (Front office staff) was very short on the phone, answered my questions in one word answers and didn't seem like she wanted to even be bothered. It also didn't help that she had me on speaker phone so I could barely hear what she was saying. Her overall tone lacked empathy and when I said thank you before ending the call, she barely acknowledged the courtesy.

Please look into the attitude of your staff towards possible new patients. No one expects this level of hostility during a serious health crisis. It's exhausting dealing with these people in customer service positions who hate their jobs.

No one is asking you to jump for joy when you take a call, but at least be courteous and polite at the very least. This was your career choice. Customers didn't force you into the role you signed up for.

I went in for an appointment and they have so many hazards. The scale is blocking the pass way and i have almost fell. The a/c does not work it is so hot in the lobby it is RIDICULOUS. I am calling the health department, Osha, everyone so this can be fixed. I walked into the restroom and the toilets had grim on to them, your shoes STICK to the floor and it sounds like the spongebob with black boots episode. As well i saw the swiffer in the restroom. Let me start by saying that I had tried two other big gastroenterology offices before finally being referred here by my wonderful GP. I had gotten so stressed and concerned that when I went to my GP I started crying explaining to him how I felt that my gastroenterology office just didn’t listen to me and that as soon as I got my procedures with them done, they stopped answering my voicemails or text messages and I wasn’t feeling 100%. Couldn’t even get a hold of them for my medications.

GP referred me here and from the moment I called, someone was there to answer the phone. I didn’t have to leave a voicemail and hope that I’d get a call or text back. The day of the appointment, I thought “wow….this place looks old.” BUT that doesn’t even matter. Dr. Han was amazing. He was not in a rush. He listened to everything that I had been through with CDIN and LVG and he still had more time to listen to my actual concerns.

This practice is not like the others in Henderson/Las Vegas area. You are a human here. Not just a walking number. I will be coming back as I found someone that took the time to treat me like I matter and explain things to me.

My appointment was for 11 am today. I arrived at 1035 am. I asked if they are running behind schedule because lobby was packed like the DMV. I was told they are on schedule. At 11:10 my name was called and my weight and blood pressure was taken. At 12:04 a NP walked in. I spent 5 minutes with a friendly NP. Now I'm back to waiting for an appointment to be made for my next visit. The time is now 12:20 pm
Update: I was seen on 01/23/25. It is now 01/25/25 and my pharmacy still has not received my prescription. Very disappointed.

My first visit I saw the NP Thelma. She was very professional and not rushed at all! Minimal waiting time before name called and got right back! They scheduled an endoscopy, which I was able to have done within 2 weeks to adapt to my schedule and went for follow up visit today! Dr. Gandotra was very professional, went through the explanation of my results and didn’t just want to push more pills or surgery, but offered solutions that would go to root causes of my issues.!!!!
As a medical professional myself, would highly recommend Dr. Gandotra!

Good luck getting your prescriptions refilled. I have yet to have someone answer the prescription refill line when I call, so I’m forced to leave a message. The message says the general turn around time is 48-72 hours, but that has not been my experience. It’s been a week and I still have not heard from anyone, nor have they gotten back to my pharmacy. When I call the general line, they don’t help. They just transfer me back to the prescription line. Dr. Gandotra is a nice man, so it’s a shame that he hires subpar staff. I will be looking for another doctor.

The doctors and nurse practitioners here are nice and thorough and friendly but there front office is horrendous. You can almost never get a hold of anyone just and answering machine that will never get a call back. It took me showing up at doors open and demanding help after they cancelled my appointment the day before. I'll avoid this place at all costs. "Medical assistants fault"! I was told I had to have a colonoscopy done and another procedure so I scheduled the appointment. I didn't eat for 2 days sat at my appointment for 1 hour to be told that the nurses should have told me not to take one of my medications at all that week and they couldn't see me. It is totally frustrating and inconvenient when I go without eating for 2 days and have to make arrangements for a ride just for my appointment to be canceled because of the nurses mistake!

The administration staff is very bad. They are eager to blame anyone besides themselves. I had a referral to see Dr. Gandotra and made an appointment to see him. I’m not a new patient so it’s been two years since I’ve seen him. When I get there for my appointment I fill out paperwork and paid my 55 co pay. I waited two hours for a very rude nurse practitioner Marie to come in and look at me confused. I said hello and she obviously knew I was waiting to see the doctor. She barely could explain herself and then told me I’m not seeing him that I have to “specifically ask to see that doctor” I was very confused as this is who I called and asked to see and that is also who my referral was for. But just like the medical scheme is now they want to blame the patient for everything. She then told me she could do a screening but she’s not a gastroenterologist. I was baffled why I would pay $55 and wait two hours for a screening to someone who couldn’t help me. Does the medical field think people are just dumb now? Anyway for them to bill your insurance multiple times is what they are going to do. I said no I wanted to see the doctor or I want my money back. I then went to the front and every receptionist except one was trying to blame me. It was pretty sad that they are this disrespectful and unapologetic for wasting my time and money. I’m not entitled I’m just not an idiot. I highly suggest they get a new practitioner and new receptionists who btw never called to even remind me of the appointment. I rescheduled my appointment for next week so we will see.

Dr.Gandotra, his office staff, and surgical staff are so kind. Dr. Gandotra has an excellent bedside manner in office and at the surgery center. I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Procedure's were the most thorough I've ever had, and the prep Dr. Gandotra prescribed was the easiest to take, I drank it through a straw and for me It left a lemon taste in my mouth. Feeling So Blessed to be a patient
of Dr. Vishal Gandotra.

I will be 54 years old July, 2022, and with my having Multiple Sclerosis, and a family history of colon and skin cancer, and having lived in many parts of the United States, I have seen so many doctors in my lifetime, including General Practitioners, Eye Doctors, and Dentists as well.

Dr. Gandotra is one of the best Doctors I have ever seen and I am so grateful and I feel so comfortable and confident that I will receive the best care for my family history of colon cancer, as well as any other Digestive System issue I may experience in my lifetime now that I am settled down for the very long term in Las Vegas.

My system was not cleaned out enough last year (I was with a different Doctor at that time) and since they found one adenoma (precancerous) polyp as well, I decided to switch doctors, to Dr. Gandotra and have a follow up Colonoscopy this year.

Dr. Gandotra had me do four days of preparation, two days with over the counter medications and two days with a prescription medication, since my system was more difficult to clean out and my colonoscopy test visibility was 9 out of ten this time.

He found four polyps, all of which were adenomas (precancerous) and so I need another colonoscopy next year due to my family history of my Dad and his Mother, my Grandmother as well.

Had my system not been as cleaned out for visibility, any one of those four precancerous polyps could have been missed and developed into cancer.

Of course, there will never be 100% visibility, but I feel like my risks of developing cancer are minimal with Dr. Gandotra, since he has such expert knowledge, he truly cares and he is very thorough.

Also, as another set of pluses, Dr Gandotra has an easy going, kind, and calm way of speaking and explaining complex subjects in language patients can easily understand and you can really feel that he cares about his patients and doing the best job he can for them.

And, the Medical assistants and front reception were very professional and kind as well.

If you gotta have a colonoscopy, this is the best experience you could ask for. I was a nervous wreck heading into the procedure. But, Dr. Gandotra has an incredibly calming and endearing bedside manner. He is gentle, caring, and a good listener. He put me at ease every step of the way. The day of the procedure, the team of professionals all exhibited warm and generous care. They even provided a warmed blanket as I was in the cue to enter the procedure room. It is clear that Dr. Gandotra's prime mission is to give you the best care possible. His secondary mission is to keep you as comfortable as possible. On my first visit I was scheduled to see NP Thelma. I was late but they were still kind enough to see you. Thelma gave me information that my prior G.I doctor had never mentioned even though it was noted in my chart. She didn't rush the visit ( even though I was late), and gave me lots of information regarding my issues. The only problem is one of the prescriptions is a controlled substance and needs another number that was not indicated on my prescription. I received a message asking me to come back to pickup another prescription. This is a problem as I am no longer able to drive.

My family has an extensive history of colorectal cancer so I made an appointment with Dr. Gandotra to learn about my options and start preventive care. He is extremely professional and also caring and very respectful. During first visit he explained to me screenings as well and gave dietary and lifestyle recommendations. I was a little nervous about colonoscopy (it was my first), but it went very smoothly with no pain or any discomfort during prep and procedure. Doctor removed 2 polyps and explained in details pathology results during my follow up visit.
I am in my early 40s and had no symptoms but I am extremely happy I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Gandotra. Watching family members die of highly preventable disease was a big push for me to start screenings, and now I feel very comfortable knowing that I am getting the best care possible. I had very high hopes about this office after reading such good reviews online. I called to schedule an appointment but they tried to schedule me with someone else other than Dr. Gandotra. I said I’d prefer to see him during my visit, and they told me that he did not have an availability for a month out. I said that’s fine, I don’t mind waiting to see him.

The day of the appointment comes and I am only waiting maybe 20 mins before I’m called back by the nurse, which was nice. The nurse was a little goofy - she took my weight and then took about 10 pounds off of that weight to adjust for me wearing shoes...which I thought was odd.

The doctor finally comes in to see me and to my surprise it’s not Dr. Gandotra. I think she was a nurse practitioner. She seemed nice enough and answered my questions, but I felt rushed. And the fact that I waited over a month for this appointment specifically to see Dr. Gandotra, only to have them give me someone else was frustrating. She also prescribed me an expensive brand name stool softener, which I could technically buy the same over the counter off-brand for much less. I was also prescribed a topical steroid cream.

I picked up the cream from the pharmacy and nowhere on the prescription did it state how long I was supposed to take it for. I also had other questions regarding the medication, so I tried calling the office and was prompted to leave a voicemail. Nobody called me back.

Overall, the experience was sub-par and disappointing.

Want to know why wait times are so long? They made me schedule an appointment (I too, waited an hour) to get the results of a CT scan they ordered. I saw the Dr. for 30 seconds to hear everything was negative. I asked multiple times why I wouldn't receive a phone call with my results, and they said it simply wasn't their practice to do so, and that an appointment was necessary to get the results, regardless of said results.
A simple 30 second phone call saying "Hey, everything is normal." or "Hey, you need to schedule an appointment so we can go over your results." might help alleviate the hour+ wait time in your practice.

I came here for the first time due to my family Doctor referral for colonoscopy. I had my paper filled out and arrived early. The wait was fast to be called. I was called back by nurse took vital and ask what I was there for. I said it my first consultation for colonoscopy. She took me back room and when over my medical record. Now remember this is my first time to this office. So they have no medical record accept for what I provide in patient forms. Nurse ask me to wait in the room . Come back 10 minute later verified my name and birthday. Thought it was odd. They already did that. Nurse then said you need to go do blood work for allergy and pancreas. Your schedule for surgery in February for Chronic diarrhea . I am like wait a minute. I haven't seen a doctor or a health practitioner. You went over my medical history with me not more than 10 minute ago. I said I have no allergies. I never once complained of constant diarrhea. Nurse look at me and said I don't know that's what doctor ordered. I said how could the doctor already decided what I have without even seeing me . I haven't even gotten a colonoscopy for that matter. I said I refused and will not have the test or anything done. She apologized and left. Then 10 minute later a nurse practitioner came in. By that time . I am like no way. What will this doctor due to me if I am under anesthesia. So I left and will be consulting a different doctor with a better run staff.

I've gone to Dr. Gandotra for many years, he is one of the most compassionate, caring and professional people I've ever met. I’ve been having problems with pain in my upper right quadrant under my ribs. I was referred by my partner to see Dr. Gandotra as he has been using him for many years for his GI issues.
I went to see him and from the start was very impressed by his professionalism and knowledge.
He ordered a ultrasound of the abdomen as well as a colonoscopy (which I was overdue anyway) and endoscopy to rule out any abnormalities.
All results came back with minor issues that can be taken care of but still had the pain. He did not give up an ordered a HIDA scan explaining this test will give you a more in depth result of the area.
Well the test showed my gallbladder was starting to go bad. He explained that it’s not an extremely urgent matter but nevertheless is referring me to a surgeon to see what my options are.
Dr. Gandotra did not give up on me and was able to pinpoint my pain.
I would highly recommend him for all your GI issues as he very personable and explains in depth any issue you may have.

One star this Dr. Gandotra does not care about you at all. Had three cancellations with his office before I could even get an appointment with him. Then 2 hour wait in his office just to see a nurse practitioner to be rushed out as fast as possible. Finally day of procedure 6 hour wait from start to finish for a colonoscopy and Endoscopy. I only met the Dr. For the first time ever right before I went under for the procedure, woke up coughing couldn't breath well nurses helped me but he was to busy to come and check on me because he was on the phone with an insurance company. With much regret, I felt it necessary to post my recent experience. Earlier this morning I was informed my initial physician, Vishal Gandotra was not working today for my scheduled appointment for a colonoscopy. Additionally, I was informed the initial date and time of this appointment had been canceled. I was advised of this news, at Valley View Surgical Center, where this procedure was scheduled for today at 5:30am check in time. The receptionist at Valley View was very polite and apologetic. I explained to her, it was no fault of hers. She further stated this always happens with Vegas Gastroenterology. " They always overbook clients, and never call them in advance if an appointment has been canceled, or needs to be rescheduled" I thanked her for time, consideration, and kindness. The good news is this, it happenned to me. With that said, this post will get further attention, as I exercise my right to bring it to the attention in other venue's. Everyone reading this post, please have a safe, healthy, and prosperous 2022. Based on a review of previous reviews, it appears the issue is not with Dr. Gandotra, but rather his administrative staff, who is slowley damaging his client base. Time for an overhaul of empty suited employees.

I had to have an Upper GI and a Colonoscopy done at the same time and I was afraid of having either of them done. I was afraid that I wouldn't wake up from the Anesthia & so many other things. Dr. Gandotra is amazing and definitely one of the best gastroenterologist in town. He cares about and actually lessons patients when you have questions. He keeps up to date on all the new procedures and advancements in his field.
His staff is very friendly, helpful and go out of thier way to provide quality care. Nurse Practitioner Thelma is great and takes great care with you to help make you feel as comfortable as possible and to help you all of your concerns regarding your care.
I can say enough good things about the care and services that is provided by these doctors. I would never see any other doctors other that the ones at Vishal Gandotra MD Inc for my gastric system issues.

Everything went well for my mom except for one situation. One nurse told my mom after surgery to "hurry and put on her clothes so I can go home". How unprofessional! My mother was dizzy and felt rushed after a 3 hour procedure. Please talk to every nurse to make sure they stay professional at all times!

In 2012 Dr. Gandotra examined me and his diagnosis was spot on and in fact was quite instrumental in saving my life. He is among the best of the best when it comes to gastro issues. He asks questions that patients can understand and he listens. His demeanor in the O.R. is outstanding and he oftens cracks jokes to calm his patients. He truly cares about his patients and they know it. He takes the worry out of a colonoscopy procedure. So don't suffer in fear. Go see him and tell him what you are going through. I went through it and they tell me I was singing when I was still groggy and waking up. Odorless farting that had more bubbles than champagne! A very pleasant experience. Thank you Dr. G. You rock!!!!! You truly are a gift from God. One of THE best in his field of study and in my humble opinion, the best in Las Vegas.

My son has had Crohn's disease for over 5 years. He has had more GI's and procedures than I care to mention. Dr Gandrota by far does the best work. As an MD myself, Dr. Gandrota is the best Gastroenterologist that I've ever met in my 35 years plus practicing medicine. I appreciate how informational he is to both me and my son... He does a great job at explaining everything that's going on. He's also very funny and comforting, providing an overall great experience. I really like Dr Gandotra, I just have a problem with his office over booking office visits, but the worst part was the day of my procedure, after arriving earlier at their request I waited 4 hours for my procedure to start. you can’t eat or drink for hours before the appointment and then your procedure does not start til 4 hours later, I feel that it’s a lack of respect to the patients whose time is not considered as valuable as the doctors

Since the start, i didnt even get to meet the doctor prior to getting an endoscopy. I waited in the lobby of the surgery center from 8:30 am until 12:30pm before i was actually in a bed. I wasnt instructed the dos and donts, and above all, i wasnt precibed anything for pain following the procedure causing me to have a gastro attack the next night after. He needs to be closer with his patients period.

I went 3 Doctors for last 15 years they r very busy and popular but they r Garbadge they r here only making money they said oh go for Endoscopy or colonoscopy and make the bill thousands of dollars .
One of the Doctor I visit 5 times in 8 years always he said don’t eat this don’t eat that and no good diagnosis for the patient .
