Very unprofessional, under staffed, and chaotic office; staff arguing with each other in front of patients; front desk person just barged in my exam room, without knocking, to tell the nurse how busy she was checking people inβ¦luckily my ekg was done and I was not exposed at the time; lengthy check out process; they let their phones ring off the hook without greeting or acknowledging callers; the doctor I saw completely dismissed any testing I had already done and wanted me to retest several things, even though my test results were only months old; there was a lot of pressure to schedule several appointments, like used car salesman pressure; overall it was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this practice to anyone.
UPDATE: I just viewed my medical records from this place and my file is full of discrepancies; they have exaggerated some of my symptoms while completely ignoring others, they have completely ignored testing from other providers, they notated that they provided me with instructions not to exercise or travel but nothing like that was actually said to me during my appointment, they have falsified so much information it is astounding! They are all about pushing unnecessary testing to be done at their office in order to get paid more. Stay away from this place!

I have no issue with the doctor but trying to call on the phone is a 30 min to an hour and a half to get the front office to answer the phone. in 3 instances' I've tryed to call a total 2 hours and 15 minutes. Again the doctors are great but I have no patient's for the front of office. I am seeking another cardiologist.

My experience with the doctors office was unprofessional. I found out what was required to take a stress test after I pay for my visit. The same thing happened for the Holt monitor. This was an inconvenience for me.

If you want to be just a number, herded in like cattle, wait to see the doctor two to three hours past your appointment time and the get about 5 minutes to see the doctor who has no idea who you are .and become just another money maker for the doctors then by all means be my guest. The worst I have ever experienced

Doctors are nice. The main receptionist is flat out rude and talks bad about others she works with in front of clients. Every time I call, I'm on hold for over 20 minutes. Canceling all my appointments to see a different doctor.
Update: I canceled all my appointments over the phone. And the day after my originally scheduled appointment, I received a call about my missed appointments to be rescheduled. With that to say, they never canceled my appointment that I did in fact cancel.

The doctors are wonderful, but some of the back of the house staff are no good. I was prescribed a weight loss med, my insurance sent to the doctor pre-authorization 3 weeks ago and NO reply. Went to office and told them front lady printed something out and stated she will give it to the proper person, 5 days later STILL NOTHING! Looks like I will have to waste time and gas to go again to visit. I have called and left 3 messages about it to the medication line and NO replies

I have been coming here since 2012 and all I have to say Iβm so thankful for the doctors Dr benson she is awesome and truly cares about patients! And she want to make sure we get to what is going on with my heart and even though Iβm young she knows it does not matter what age you are you can have heart issues ! I recommend the team here they are truly the best of the best

My mother and I had to worst experience at this Heart & Vascular location. Most of the receptionists there are unprofessional. They advise that they would relay the message to the doctor about refilling my mother's heart medication, but they never do their jobs. Most of the time, when I call I get put on for a long time, and no one comes back on the line. They do not listen and understand why I called after I explained multiple times. I do not receive a follow-up call or anything. They do not have the provider reach out to me, but they informed me that they would. When my mother had her last appointment, the EKG was done incorrectly, and Dr. Benson had to have someone else do it again. Dr. Sighn seems like a friendly doctor. I'll say that. My mother felt comfortable under his care. However, this office gave my mother a referral to a different doctor and said he is responsible for refilling the medication. He is not taking new patients, and he is retiring. I explained this. They should have been on top of this before even advising my mother to make an appointment with that doctor. This is ridiculous. It's been over a month, and my mother does not have her heart medication. I drove to the office to speak with Dr. Benson and Dr. Sighn in person. Before they came out of the office, I was explaining to the receptionist about my concerns and the issue with my mother's prescription. Dr Benson interpreted this as me yelling at someone because my tone of voice was loud from all the frustration and the horrible experience. She jumped to conclusions and had no understanding about why I was upset. Both providers invited me into a office to speak with them, and Dr. Sighn and Dr. Benson spoke with me at the same time about the issue....this is frustrating. I asked to just speak with Dr. Sighn, but Dr. Benson kept getting into the conversation and interrupting. My mother is 68 years old, and she needs her heart medication. They did not show any concern for her as their patient. It's been almost two months without her medication. If they are not responsible for the refill, I get it but I'm not sure why their office is listed at the CVS pharmacy. No one at this office provided my mother and I with a phone number or who else we should call about the refill. They obviously only care about a paycheck, not patients. After I explained all of the issues and concerns, they said they would contact someone else on the other doctor's team who may be able to help out. This is just too much unnecessary stress. They should have addressed this months ago. Over the phone it does not go anywhere. I drove to this office a few times, and months later my mother has the same issue. They wouldn't take accountability just tell me to call someone else who is not taking new patients at all. I told both doctors, "I will just take my mother to a more professional medical office." Dr. Benson seemed happy about this. She said maybe I should do that. I'm sure if it was her mother, she would want her to have good quality medical care. Her response was just heartless. She did not have an understanding about any of the concerns that I expressed. She took everything I expressed personally and accused me of raising my voice. I hold medical specialist to high standard, and they failed. My mother doesn't deserve this. I have to contact my mother's insurance to find her another heart specialist to go to. This is unacceptable. I can't believe what my mother has experienced. I'm so irritated about this. I wouldn't advise anyone to go here. It's not worth the headache. Everyone wants to be treated fairly and feel valued as a patient. They should have given my mother a new refferal, and assisted with the prescription refill or did something. No apology was given. They just didn't care at all. There are alot of great heart specialists in Vegas, and I pray that we find him or her. My mom will get the best care.

As several patients have mentioned, Drs. Benson and Singh are excellent practitioners. It is important for me to have my cardiologists current, competent, and caring. They donβt have to be caring but it creates a great experience especially if you are in the throes of a serious condition. I appreciate their commitment to excellence in medicine and care. I went for a 2nd opinion and no Nuclear Stress test was needed
I felt like this doctor was just trying to make more money
He didn't even discuss anything with me, he handed me my file and said schedule the the test ASAP

This doctor office started off great. The actual doctors are phenomenal and the lady in billing is the sweetest ever. This is literally the only reason I've added a star to this review! However if you need a tilt table please go elsewhere! The doctor requested I needed a few tests no problem! I scheduled all of them the day of my appointment on June 6th. However, I was told the tilt table would be a separate call I'd receive within a few weeks. I didn't receive any calls by June 21st so when I went into my appointment I asked about it. They assured me they would contact the person and they'd contact me. Meanwhile I consistently pushed my follow up appointment back while waiting for this call.(I did ask again about scheduling the tilt table when I called to push back the follow up). I FINALLY received this call on July 18th! Over a month later. When I answered I was told it was about my scheduled tilt table. In confusion I told the woman on the phone(now I know her name is Mary) that I didn't have an appointment scheduled as no one had called me about it. Mary then reiterated it was a scheduled tilt table. To which I responded I hadn't scheduled anything. She then tells me in the most condescending voice I'd ever heard "Grab a pen and paper and write this down". I was fuming but did as she asked. Mary tells me when my appointment is as she had scheduled my appointment for me. When I told her I didn't know if that day would work for me she sounded annoyed and just told me then the next available would need to be in October. No apology for the delay. No understanding regarding my confusion NOTHING! I contacted the front desk the next day after sitting with it a while. I told them I didn't appreciate the disrespect and told them what happened and was told that it was indeed unacceptable by Shwerta(probably misspelled, but she has been nothing but sweet to me she's amazing). She asked me if I would wait to cancel my appointments and they would call me back. So, I waited. Three days to today. I called today and cancelled my follow up. Then, called Mary. Mary's phone went straight to voice-mail multiple times so I left a voice mail at 10:42 AM (I will admit at this point I was beyond annoyed so my voicemail was quite firm and showed my irritation). At 6:37 PM i received a call back. I notified her I would like to cancel my appointment because like I originally thought that day wasn't going to work for me as well as I thought that she was quite rude in my initial call I planned on saying more but before I could even finish my sentence about her being rude she interrupted me to tell me she didn't think she was rude at all. This is where I'm not proud as I went off on her to just cancel my appointment and I would find a new doctor. Mary is AWFUL! For one, thank God I'm not in immediate threat but this was beyond unacceptable from her. For one, people have lives, children etc... I have family in the medical field i understand how covid affected them but it is NO excuse to be rude to a patient. You dont know what they are going through, such as me where i lost my grandfather a few days prior to her first call(not to mention my condition causes brain fog). I've never had someone make an appointment on my behalf. Ive always received a call to make sure the day works for me. You'd think she'd be more patient and kind. Instead she talks down to you, is rude, entitled, and instead of bothering to take 5 seconds to apologize when someone tells you that they felt you were rude you are entitled and don't take any accountability. I hope that they see this and do something about her because I'd rather go without treatment than EVER speak to someone who talks to patients the way she does again. I'd rather live off the I'll just hope this unknown condition isn't too dangerous than be treated lower than dirt. Albeit, Mary I will say, I sincerely apologize for losing my cool, I could have gotten my point across much more eloquently. Such as above. Here's hoping you learn to apologize and be a better person too.

I had a VA referral and called at 950 am to schedule an appointment. Was put on hold for over an hour and then they just disconnected. Call back and they send you straight to a voice-mail very unprofessional. Having them switch me to a more reliable provider who can answer questions

I have no idea how they stay in business even with a referral marked urgent sent from my drs office I can not get ahold of anyone to schedule an appointment I've tried the text option they promote on the voice recording I've left voice messages and I've pushed every single number trying to get thru my Dr even re-faxed them with a cover letter explaining the matter is urgent NOTHING even if they do eventually call me back I'm scared to be a patient what if I have an emergency

Doctors are good, but the staff stinks. You leave messages and they do not call back. I have been trying to get medical records of tests that I have done to get weight loss surgery, and they will not call me back or the doctor that is asking for them. I have been trying for a week and same with the weight loss doctor. The staff is very incompetent. The main problem is they take on too many clients, and the staff is not trained to take care of the workload

I give 2 stars for the average care not bad or great but what you expect from a professional doctor, however what is not professional is the 5+ appointments an hour they make that slowly backs them up all day, my 3pm appt they called at 9pm asking if I was ready and never called back, appointments are normally for atleast guaranteed same day service. Took them cancelling 2 appointments to finally let me know I needed a new referral. They take too many people to know what's happening with each patient and need too many workers to cover them all. This is why they will never give great care. There like a 711 with signs in waiting room saying your gonna wait hours. Average care and lines like the DMV, there are much easier to deal with docs. And I have been to around 10 appointments here.

Fortunately, what initially was a bad experience turned into a positive outcome. I was scheduled for appointments with Dr. Benson twice, which were canceled by the office. A third appointment was to occur by telephone, and I received a confirmation from the office the day prior. I received no phone call until after 9 PM on a Friday evening, at which time Dr. Singh, her associate, said that someone would call from the office the next day. I received no call either on that day, or any weekday thereafter. After several days, I rescheduled an appointment with Amy Santiago, their Nurse Practitioner, because it was frankly easier to get an appointment. I was frustrated because my heart condition is changing (I fear) and I have not seen the physician for over a year. That said, I received excellent care from Amy, and, after explaining my disappointment at the prior appointment lapse and lack of followup, received a personal apology from Dr. Benson and her staff. All have worked to be sure my follow up appointments are promptly scheduled. My next appointment is in early April with Dr. Benson, and I look forward to having her review my case. Again, the care provided from all physicians and Amy, the Nurse Practitioner, have always been excellent so I look forward to more of the same.

I have been a patient of this group for years now. Never was any possible problem with my health over looked. You know you are somewhere that cares when their waiting room is full. It may seem like a long tome but remember why you are there and that they care so much. It is worth the wait. That being said. I have to give a shout out to the Angel of my health Amy Santiago. She has responded to many possible serious situations just as that, and ensured that I was cared for and given the treatments I need to get better. Even when I was going to see other doctors and surgeons she ensured that my record was shared with the people I gave permission to have. The staff is awesome always helpful and courteous. Final note they care and they want you to get better. They are also human too!

They are very thorough when checking you in taking your temperature asking you questions to make sure that the other patients are okay. The doctor is upbeat and serious at the same time. I haven't finished testing cuz I had to reschedule my allergies were acting up and didn't feel good. The 4 hours of not eating before you take the test got to my stomach but I'm sure when I take the stress test everything will work out.

This place has been a nightmare to deal with. Only giving one extra star for Dr. Benson because she was awesome...however I never really got to see her again after our first visit and was passed onto her nurse or the other doctor. I just ate it on an out of network bill for a holter monitor after I was assured from staff here that every service I was receiving was in network. When I received this bill from CardioNet I called this office trying to find who was responsible but the buck was passed over and over again. Before that even, they charged me up front for services on the day of my appointment saying insurance would later reimburse and lo and behold they didn't so I had to have multiple back and forth exchanges with the billing department here until insurance was sent the correct information and did reimburse. This office is a mess and quite frankly it's really sneaky to tell patients every test and service is in network when they really weren't.

Reviews are subjective. Anyone selecting their doctors, restaurants or any other services should not base their decision exclusively off of an online review.
I have seen both Dr. Benson and Dr. Singh. I have also spent a fair amount of time interacting with the office staff and billing department. Here are some of my thoughts regarding the experience:
-Dr. Singh and Dr. Benson are kind and caring. They never rushed me through any appointment or procedure and took time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I feel comfortable and confident in their care.
-The staff is professional and friendly. These are Covid times. It is stressful. The staff is under tremendous pressure to comply with protocols and keep everyone safe. It is incredibly challenging and I believe they are doing an excellent job.
-Both the doctors and staff appear to put in very long hours. I've received phone calls well into the late evening hours. Not sure if they are just so busy or just dedicated to their job but probably both.
-I've been impressed with the level of follow up from the staff. They return phone calls in a timely fashion and are proficient at their job.
Lastly, I would like to add my two cents. Regardless of the condition of your health try to stay positive and be respectful to others. These folks work hard and are dedicated to their profession. Being kind and courteous goes a long way. Treat the doctors and staff the way you would like to treated and you will increase the likelihood of a pleasant experience.

Initially selected this particular cardiovascular group in Vegas, because there was only one very so-so cardiologist in Mesquite, NV, & eventually she relocated to Summerlin, & because Obamacare only authorized that specific group. The drive to & from, became frequent & exhausting, then a big ordeal, requiring a full day of driving, dealing with real big city traffic (which Iβm used to, but didnβt need), then sitting down on uncomfortable chairs, in a crowd, of occasionally sickly (contagious) people, packed in like sardines, waiting & after seemingly hours, being shuffled from room to room, with the payoff finally resulting in a consultation with either Dr. Singh, or Dr. Benson, both being exceptional physicians/professionals. I was especially fond of the latter, Dr. Kathleen Benson. Signs are posted in their offices reminding the patients to be patient, as each physically & emotionally exhausted person will be rewarded with a thorough consultation. Underwent every available test, in their office, as well as an angiogram at Sunrise Hospital, where my appointment was at 9:00 a.m., but wasnβt wheeled in for the procedure until about 4:00 p.m., again, waiting in a gown, & yβall know the drill, all that unnervingly unpleasant time. Their office(s) has a factory vibe, & itβs definitely taxing to visit their buildings, but itβs ultimately worth the wait. An impressive P.A., is occasionally assigned to consult with you, & sheβs great! Do miss that exemplary team, but not the office ordeal & grueling trips. One month I made about nine jaunts in as many days. As always, the primary qualifier is to each their own. Now that Iβm eligible for Medicare, I drive to St. George, UT, & itβs a refreshing change, even treat myself to lunch in their renovated hospital cafeteria. However, I do miss the thoroughness & kind, sweet manner of Dr. Benson. Felt extremely comfortable with her. Thanks! Aaron W.

They were always friendly and never acted too rushed to sit and hear my list of concerns and questions. I would recommend Dr Benson for anyone needing a cardiologist. Her front office team were also amazing and always very welcoming. I actually enjoyed going to my appointments there.

I've been coming here since 1998 and couldn't be more confident about my care in regards to Dr Singh! He has ALWAYS taken the time to actually listen to what you're saying and answers every question you might have. He even unexpectedly came to check on me while in the hospital still wearing his Tuxedo coming from an event... what doctor does that in today's world? HE DOES! I've watched his office grow into Advanced Heart and Vascular Specialists by adding Dr Benson (she too is amazing and caring) and adding more staff to keep his patients comfortable while waiting for their appointment. The addition of Ms Amy Santiago was definitely a plus as she is extremely knowledgeable and has become my alternative when Dr Singh is away or busy! π
I've never written a review about doctors before and I felt that now was the time to share my gratitude and experience with everyone! π

I apologize for whatever my first rating has affected the good image and performance of the

I commend the medical staff of this Clinical Center in Las Vegas, especially, Dr. Kathleen Benson,

Had two more good visits this week! Went on Monday for two ultrasounds, my experience was first class. The technician completely knows her job, First Class. Made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout both tests.
Then I go back the next day for my results and Amy, the PA, reviewed the test results with me and explained everything regarding my heart health!

After recently moving from Joliet, Illinois we were tasked with finding medical providers to provide care for our medical conditions. Of course I at first tried Google to see who and what I could find. Being the area is so large I then went to my medical insurance website. In doing the search for Cardiologist, especially those accepting new patients I was presented info regarding Advanced Heart and Vascular. I placed a call for my wife and myself and was surprised when I was given an appointment within 7 days. Of course read a number of reviews and weeded through the postings and liked what we read. It came time for the day of our appointments and was amazed by the organization by everyone involved. It came time for our appointment and the MA collected our information and took our vitals. We then received a call from the doctor who reviewed our information that was previously collected and we answered her questions. Shortly after the doctor personally came in to physically check us herself, reviewed our information arrived at her plan of care. We were pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of the this practice compared to what we thought was excellent at home. Throughly exceeded our expectations.
Advanced Hearth and Vascular is a great place for healthcare needs.

Incredible Physicians! I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years, and when my parents needed a Cardiologist, I'm so very grateful I sent them here. I have had 8 cardiologists over the years and they either just threw medications at problems they didn't understand or were unwilling to investigate further. All others put me through hell just looking for help. I've been a patient at Advanced Heart and Vascular for over 2 years now, and they are the first to not only diagnose my problems but have made my quality of life so much better by taking the time to listen, and do what needed to be done to get my heart working right. This place helped save my life, and I'm eternally grateful. The ladies at the desk, as well as the Doctors, are always kind, helpful, and accommodating. As long as I live in Vegas I will continue my patronage here. I recommend this place highly!

I was referred to Advanced Heart and Vascular by my oncologist. From my
first phone call, everyone has been highly professional, very respectful and
extremely competent. It is obvious that they respect my time by the manner
they strive to keep the flow of patients moving with minimal wait times.
Amy Santiago, the PA, is exceptional. She is knowledgeable and friendly. I love that
she speaks distinct and clearly. With masks today, it is hard to read lips to assist my
hearing, but I can hear and understand Amy without effort. While asking for
assistance with an untreated health issue, Dr. Benson was standing nearby
and overheard. She spoke up and offered help when I've been unable to find
any competent medical treatment for three years for this issue! I highly recommend Advanced
Heart and Vascular for heart health care.

I bring my mother to this location. Most of the staff are very friendly and the doctors are very knowledgeable and do their best for their patients. Dr. Benson and Dr. Singh and their nurse practitioner go above and beyond to be thorough and provide best care for thier patients. But the wait time is excessive. Its at least an hour wait just for them to check your blood pressure, weight, etc. Afternoon appointments are worse. One patient actually fell asleep waiting to be called. We had an 830am appointments, it took the front desk 15-20 for them to even check the sign in sheet. 45mins later i went up to the front desk to see what was going on. The receptionists making outbound calls was very pleasant and took time away from her job duties to assist. It took her 5mins to get an answer. Until then i was called up to the front desk just to be informed my appointment was cancelled. We waited close to an hour to be told this. The front desk nurse was sweet and empathetic giving me the bad news. The person that needed to provide me the bad news didnt even apologize or even turn away from her desk to talk to me. If I wouldn't have gone up to ask for assistance we would have probably waited more time. I appreciate all their hard work everyone at the office does and i understand their time is very valuable and do their best to provide great care but they need to be more conscientious about their patients' time and be more empathetic.

Initial visit was with Dr Singh. Wait time wasn't too bad but once I seen him I understood why there was a wait time. He takes his time to talk and explain treatment, answer questions, and helps you understand what's going on. When you leave you understand and are less stressed. You can ask questions and he answers. You're not herded in and out. Was a good experience.

I had my dad arrive early because that is what you do but here weβve been sitting since 1300 for 1315 appointment, and itβs now 1440. And heβs seeing a nurse practitioner, not even the cardiologist. I will check with the VA to see if he can find someone closer to the group home heβs in or at least more conscientious of their patientsβ time. There are several irate patients waiting...and no one in the office is making any effort to let us know what is going on to cause such delays in appointment times.
@1600. I need to retract most of my review. After meeting with NP Amy Santiago, I have to say that I βtexted in hasteβ. She and my Dad have developed a rapport; he was honest with her and she was patient with him. She explained that what was told to us in the hospital was not correct and that the medication his VA doctor prescribed was similar to giving him aspirin and was not acceptable in preventing Dad from having another stroke. In addition, she had the front desk staff member give us samples of the medication he needed in order to have it available when the meds we had to purchase ourselves (>$500 for 30 days is steep!). And she was going to have the front office fax his medical documentation to his providerβs VA office so ALL can be in the βsame sheet of musicβ and take even better care of my dad. Iβm a very protective daughter and my feathers were ruffled at first but seeing the time & care given to him when he (finally) saw NP Santiago calmed me down. My apologies to the staff for being so short tempered! Word to the wise, the earlier the appointment, the quicker you get in & out of the office.

They refused to continue my care because I didnβt want to pay a bunch of money to have duplicate test. So they sent me a letter saying I can no longer return and would only see me as an emergency for the next 30 days. Well, I had an emergency and ended up in the hospital less than a week of receiving that letter and guess who shows up for a consult. When he realized it was me he canceled all procedures and test he ordered abandoned me and I didnβt see a cardiologist for 2 days after that. I will need to consult an attorney for their unprofessional, illegal and unethical practices. Donβt ever go see these money hungry doctors.

So they called to confirm my 12:15 appointment for tomorrow, which I never made. Asked me repeatedly if I was just in sunrise hospital. I think I would know if I was. I walked out after 2 hours of waiting without being seen last week. I'll give them one more try tomorrow morning at 8:45. I just wonder how many others have the same appointment time. I will walk out again if the wait is long. My time is just as valuable.

All of the 1 star reviewers are true. I have never seen such poor service. Book according to your ability not your projected income. If your staff cannot accommodate the demand bring on more staff. Everyone's time is just as valuable as yours... this is absolutely insulting and disrespectful.
3 hours of my life I'll never get back... we will never be back - I'll be looking for a new Dr for my mother FIRST THING tomorrow. Still waiting...

I've been seeing Dr. Benson for a year. They keep you waiting 3 hour's or more past your appointment. This is not once but every time. I'm finding new cardiologist.
You get heart problems and high blood pressure coming here. They double and triple book patients. This is a money machine.
