My daughter’s appointment time was 3:00pm. Didn’t get pulled back into the exam room until 3:42pm. We walked out without being seen by the doctor at 4:24pm.

I was really hesitant about following through with my appointment here because of all the bad reviews and rescheduled it a number of times while I saw other doctors that I had more faith in, but I decided to see it through because the last time I called to reschedule this appointment they said they would “blacklist me from future appointments at the office” if I rescheduled one more time so, in the interest of not wanting to be blacklisted from an allergy office just in case I had other allergy issues later on down the road that need treatment, I decided to go through with my appointment.

Had to call out of work to go to my appointment because it was on a weekday, showed up 15 min early and still waited over an HOUR for someone to see me, only to be told that they can’t order the test I was looking for. $135 down the drain woo!! 🤗 To top it all off, I had another time sensitive appointment after this that I ended up being late for because of this. For a place that chooses to be closed on weekends, y’all are really not respectful of other peoples’ time.

Much like the overall health-care system in Las Vegas, the Allergy and Asthma Center is a joke.

When I called this place up, I informed them up front that I was having bad allergies and was constantly on prescription antihistamines to keep my body from feeling like it was on fire. I also informed them that I had already had the blood work done that had revealed my environmental allergies. I explained that I had already minimized or eliminated my exposure to those things, but I was still having bad allergic reactions to something, which is why I needed a more comprehensive test. I scheduled the appointment and asked if I needed to do anything special for the day of testing, reminding them that I was taking copious amounts of antihistamines. They assured me I didn't need to do anything.

The day of the appointment arrives, and I'm sitting in the doctors office. The nurse is reading off the lab results that I had taken previously. She asked if I was on antihistamines, which I said that I was. She then informed me that I had to reschedule my testing because I needed 3-4 days without them to get clear results. I'm livid at this point, but whatever. It's not the nurse's fault.

So, I scheduled the appointment for two weeks out and suffered for 4 days prior to the appointment as I couldn't take any allergy relief. The day of the testing comes, I go through the panel, and then I wait. The doctor comes in and starts reading off the results. I notice that they're all the same results as the blood work that I had already completed prior to making an appointment with them. I asked about any other allergy tests, and his response was, "You didn't ask for those, but we'd be happy to schedule another appointment to get them done."

It cost me $120 for the two appointments, and all I learned was what I already knew.

Update: Thank you, Allergy and Asthma Center, for proving my point. Instead of trying to sell me some 5 year "treatment plan" while i was standing there in your office asking questions, what you SHOULD have been doing is giving me the information that it apparently took a 1 star review to pry out of you. What's even more egregious is the fact that, by your own admission right here, that 5 year treatment plan you were trying to sell me wouldn't have done anything because you don't think allergies are my problem. You read it here, folks. THEIR words, not mine.

I thought the reviews on the service were a bit dramatic until I showed up to my most recent appointment. Very rude people working the front. I couldn’t believe their service during my last appointment but decided to go again. I will no longer be coming to this location because service is a huge part of what brings someone back. Attitude matters. I run multiple business and would fire those front desk people on the spot if I heard them treat someone like I’ve heard from waiting in the lobby area or how they speak to me. I don’t like negative reviews but this place deserves another one.

Dr. Bellak is wonderful. He's never rushed me and takes his time throughout appointments. I appreciate his calm demeanor and also that he goes right for the most effective treatments. I have also had great experiences with all of the staff and it's nice seeing the same people every time. Sometimes they get very busy and you have to call several times to get updates or get scheduled but I still think I get great quality care here and the staff is always kind and friendly. Overall, it's one of the best doctor office experiences I've had.

After his untimely passing I was so worried about finding her a new allergist but the new doctor, Dr. Bellak, was absolutely amazing. Don’t bother with this place I call to schedule an appointment for my 4 year old son I explained he is getting a new next month if they take it also if they take the one I have now they said yes. I tried to schedule an appointment for my son they are book out till July i told them that’s fine they told me to call back on July until I have my new insurance doesn’t make since I would get a later appointment for my son. I will take my business somewhere else. They don’t seem to care. It just seems there more interested in money!!! really bad service how can you not schedule an appointment for a you d child. I had a scheduled appt and went in to only find out that allergy testing was over $400, plus co-pay and then testing for asthma was an additional $60 consulting fee… this place is crazy expensive, they said the deductible wasn’t met, however another Allergy and asthma office said there was no testing fees to me because my insurance covered it… so something doesn’t add up.

Never the less, I just cancelled and decided to go to another dr and wait a few weeks. Only reason I scheduled with this office in the first place was because there was not wait and they seemed good, guess I was wrong.

My advise don’t go here unless you know what it’s gonna cost you before going.

Love how they care about their patients by adhering to safety rules, such as enforcing patients wait 20 - 30 minutes after getting a shot and having a doctor there in case there is an adverse reaction.

I've been going here for almost 2 years now. Not only is the staff incredibly nice but Dr. Katz actually listens to you. I've been doing the shots for a year and a half and they have been incredibly successful for me. I also take my daughter there as well and she loves them. Dr. Katz is great with kids and makes them laugh so they aren't afraid. I couldn't be happier.

They ask for the insurance information over the phone and keep you in the call for over 30 min to then surprise you with the co pay and other fees information at the appt day after being sitting in a hot office for over 30 min. This could have been shared over the phone without having to waste time on either part.
