This is all new to me but Dr. Thummala has taken the time to walk me through understanding the process. I had questions written down already and she answered them before I could ask them. Then later the Cancer Center website had suggested questions you should ask your Oncologist. I reached out to her office and stated I had more questions that I should have asked. They scheduled a virtual appointment with me. I only heard good things about her from her office staff. Her wall of accolades and accomplishments speaks for itself. God puts us in the right place with the right people, I am thankful. My journey is his will and I try to be an obedient child, I trust him. I know Dr. Thummala's professional knowledge and humility will help me through this journey. Blessings

Very unprofessional she kept insinuating that I had been drinking I kept telling her I don't drink her and the other doctor looked at each other and start laughing and said u don't sound to sure I told her I don't not drink like that only on occasions she said well we need a blood test to see what's on there I felt very uncomfortable and I cried because I have never had anyone talk to me like that and I know I was looking a little rough I had just did a 12 and a half hour shift but for her to say that was very unprofessional

We got there 1/2 hour before our appt because that's what they said and they didn't advise us that if I did the online pre-reg that we didn't have to be there that early. We then sat there until 3:15 even though our appt was for 2:30. So after sitting in the waiting room for almost and hour and a half, we then had to sit on the office until 3:45. After a10 min conversation with the Dr, we say in the waiting room for another half hour waiting to get bloodwork done. We got there at 2pm and didn't get to leave until 4:30. That was ridiculous!

Dr Thummala is a breath of fresh air! I had a less than favorable experience with dr from the Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation; No hope, no innovation. Just a basic there nothing I can do for you. I am so appreciative of my initial consultation with Dr Thummala. She gave me hope!

She is very with helping her patients understand what they are going through. She is also very pleasant with her patients and has a good sense of humor. This is good for some of her patients that are going through a rough treatment that does happen at times.

I went to Dr. Thummalas I was diagnosed on August 13 with a very rare stage for lung cancer that aggressively spread throughout my bones: doctor said I had less than two weeks to live and here it is almost 3 months later she is the best cancer doctor in the state of Nevada or that we ever met she did what she had through with Jesus and got this done. I finish Radiation everything that was low and bad from my blood counts when I seen her on November 7 everything was normal. I gotta continue with chemo but she is the best doctor ever. Please refer her to family. God bless everyone happy holidays Sandy Nicholas.💞😘👍✝️🙇♂️🙏💯 Thank you, doctor happy holidays. See you on December 1. You are the best. May God continue to bless you and save lives. God bless.

Simply the best! Since 2008 she has been our oncologist, and I’m certain we wouldn’t be here today if not for her. Besides being a great Dr, we consider her a member of our family practically.

We waited 45 minutes to see the doctor. This was the second visit with Dr. Thummala. Similar to the first, it was very rushed. Our questions were not answered and we were talked over. It is understandable that the doctor sees many patients with similar diagnosis, how this is my first time. It would be appreciated to have more of a listening ear to our questions and concerns. Instead, the visit was very quick and rushed. I came away feeling that I was not heard. I was not happy with the information presented, as if that is the o my option available. I will be seeking a second opinion.

Dr. Anu Thummala treated my mother for over five years for colon cancer. At first, the treatment appeared successful, but later we discovered it had spread like wildfire to her liver. I don’t blame Dr. Thummala for failing to cure my mother. My mother absolutely loved her and they had a wonderful doctor-patient friendship, sharing updates about their children, telling funny stories, and working though challenges together. Tragically, my mother died suddenly one night in February. It was an emergency situation that was unrelated to her cancer. My complaint about Dr. Thummala is that she never reached out to me, my mother’s only child. I called Dr. Thummala’s office 5 times and talked to her staff, requesting that Dr. Thummala get in touch with me. She didn’t make an effort to talk to me or to find out what happened to her adoring patient of five years. I am very disappointed that a doctor my mother trusted with her life with could be so cold and uncaring in the end.

The most horrible doctor ever! She'll literally treat you to death. My husband has an aggressive form of MDS that needs immediate proper treatment(chemo/bone marrow transplant), instead, I can't even call her a doctor, she gave my husband EPO shots that are not recommended for MDS. Be aware! She'll kill you and give you treatment that will benefit her pocket, she's all about money!

I’m extremely stressed since Dr. Anu Thummala falsely claimed that she was abused by me. That I had called her a foul name at my last appointment April 12, 2023.
Be aware that she lies and purposefully sets out to destroy.
My husband was at this appointment and we were very shocked at her behavior. She’s gone as far as banning me from all Comprehensive Cancer Centers.
Please consider a different oncologist. I have reported her to the medical board of NV. Also made a claim with my insurance.
She has book knowledge but with human contact she’s not reliable.

This was my first interaction with Anu Thummala, and I was very impressed. She explained exactly what I'm up against. She provided me with a roadmap of my options. First option was possibly by surgery along with possible further actions. Secondly option if surgery wasn't possible, was through radiation and/or chemotherapy. She definitely knows her profession; I'm blessed to have her as my medical oncologist. I walked out feeling relieved to have been lucky to have her. She's professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and provided me with information that was easy to understand. She's receives my highest recommendation!

She is a terrible doctor. It is sad that this so called "doctor" only cares about money. As soon as she learned that she did not work with our insurance she left the room. However, she had the audacity to bill us for this "visit". It is disappointing these kinda professionals are in charge of our health.

This lady did not honor oath as a doctor, rejected our dear one because money mattered more to her than a person's well being.
She “didn’t know the patient’s insurance” as she put it. She just walked away from a patient who needed her care desperately. I come from a family of physicians and I know no doctor should act like this.

She is the worst doctor I've ever seen in my entire life. The only thing that she thinks about is money! She was supposed to visit my patient at hospital, after two days she came in as soon as she found out about our insurance she started refusing answer our questions and she goes you guys should looking for another doctor cause I never heard anything about your insurance!

She does not even deserve one, my dad just got hospitalized in Centennial Hills Hospital and We just realized about his cancer, we’ve been waiting to see the oncologist, as soon as she got into the room the first question she asked was what is your insurance? And as soon as she realized that she doesn’t work with our insurance she just left the room. The funny part is she’s charging us for the visit. I thought they have to stick with their oath instead of asking insurance info from the pt who is in bed. Just felt SO SORRY for her 😶

Dr. Anu Thummala is a very compassionate and smart doctor. She is very extensive in her approach to each patient’s medical care. She listens to what concerns you and answers each and every question that you may have. She never rushes patients through their appointments. She does order an extensive battery of tests which I completely appreciate. This gives her a complete outlook of your individual circumstances and she makes her medical recommendations based on the information gleaned from all the testing. I appreciate that. She bases patient care on the information from the test results insuring that you are receiving the very best care possible.
For the best care possible, I highly recommend Dr. Anu Thummala..!!!

I was referred by my primary physician to see this hematologist. After waiting several months for an appointment, I was told AT MY APPOINTMENT TIME that doctor would NOT see me because my lab work was too old. They said they’d left me a message the day before to cancel my appointment, but I didn’t receive the message. If a hematologist needs more recent blood work, can’t they meet with the patient to discuss issues and THEN order blood work? This seems like the most reasonable path, especially with a physician’s referral. No amount of reasoning convinced the doctor to see me. Took a day off of work for nothing. I will not go back and will advise my primary care physician to never recommend Dr Thummala again.

Dr. Anu Thummala MD met my Dad in the hospital emergency room when he was really sick. My father battled cancer for a few years already, my father and my family immediately liked her and he became her patient, today is a few months after he has been treated by her and he is back to normal self his tumor shrunk with the medication she put him on and he does not do chemo. she always been there for him and always with a beautiful smile and positive attitude. Thank you Dr. Thummala for giving me my Dad back and my kids got their Grandfather back and most of all my Mom has her husband and best friend of 58 years back. This weekend is Fathers Day and it's going to be the best ever. God Bless you
