I had an appointment with Dr. Perry and arrived 45 minutes early (8:00 AM) to complete paperwork, only to be told the doctor was in surgery and I needed to reschedule. I had already missed work to be there, so this was extremely frustrating.

After explaining my situation, I was eventually told to come back at 10:20. During check-in, there were two receptionists, yet both focused on one patient while others waited, which felt inefficient and unnecessarily slowed things down.

It then took about an hour just to be called for basic intake questions and to copy my driver’s license and insurance card. After that, I was asked to sit and wait again. Around 10:15, I was finally taken for X-rays, but I was asked the same health questions multiple times—by the receptionist, the nurse, the assistant, and again by the doctor.

I understand some repetition is part of the process, but this felt excessive and uncoordinated. In total, I spent 4 hours in the office (8:00 AM–12:00 PM) while in significant pain.

I do appreciate that Dr. Perry took time to thoroughly examine me, but the overall experience was very inefficient and frustrating. In today’s technology-driven world, there should be better systems in place—such as digital forms or a patient portal—to avoid repeated questions and long wait times.

I hope the office can improve its scheduling and intake process to better respect patients’ time.

Dr Perry is an excellent physician. His demeanor is very professional, yet pleasant, and he breaks down your medical issues clearly and concisely, so that you can understand in layman's terms exactly what he's talking about. I didn't feel rushed, as is the case with some doctors and he took the time to answer all my questions. Although I hate starting out the new year in a surgeon's office, it definitely helped that he was empathetic, which gave me a good level of trust. I am just beginning my journey into the Orthopedic World following a sudden condition requiring an Orthopedic evaluation. My comfort level has GONE UP 1000% when comparing this Clinic to the former one I had an association with. They can confirm your issue then say I can’t fix it but you can.The dr came in looked at an X-ray and looked me dead in my face “yeah you have scoliosis but there is nothing I can do” like what that’s your field that’s why I’m here. Then he cuts you off tells you oh your pain level isn’t bad or severe like damn I didn’t know you walked around with this back. He only pushed me off to go get another service he suggested I do yoga “I would be an inspiration to others”

Dr. Perry is one of the best doctors I have seen in Las Vegas. I was nervous when I saw how many patients had a similar appointment time, but I was seen in a timely manner and was given plenty of time with him. He was not rushing and actually listened to what I was saying. So many doctors out here just want to rush you through to see the next patient and order a bunch of tests to raise the bill. I did not get that vibe from him, at all. In fact, even with my diagnosis, he suggested I stick with noninvasive treatments that did not include his office. He was polite, smiled, and very informative. I wish I could find a PCP like him.

Great Doctor and Excellent Specialist!!! I had a C2 Neck Fracture in May 2015. Dr. Perry placed me in a halo to stabilize me and I was hospitalized for 2 months, along with several other fractures due to a roll over in town. My husband had a brain stem injury, and succumbed to those injuries nearly 7 years later, April 2022. I am a walking miracle with the Grace from GOD, medical treatment from Dr. Perry and a host of other medical professionals at UMC Trauma Unit/Burn. Dr. Perry was very friendly, professional, respectful, knowledgeable, communicative and thorough. Answered all questions and explained the results of MRI and X-Rays to my satisfaction. Left confident with the assessment given and the suggested course of action. The office visit charge was very reasonable, a pleasant surprise since I don’t have health insurance. Only minus was waiting a full hour before seeing the medical assistant, the staff should have let the patients know that they were running a little late. I was at the facility for 3 hours. I was not there for any procedures, testing, or imaging, just a new patient appointment. I got there before 2pm for my 225pm new patient appointment, I was taken back at 3pm, seen by two nurses from 3-4pm and didn’t see my doctor until 440pm. No one apologized or even mentioned that they were running behind schedule. I even had to miss my piano lesson at 4pm (which I had to pay for because I did not cancel 24 hours in advance). I also felt like the doctor rushed me, he interrupted me a few times.

I’ll see how my next appointment goes to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I would not recommend to anyone based on my experience so far.

I first met Dr Perry when he examined my wife and I was impressed with his knowledge and speaking to us not at us. He listened to everything we had to say and gave us different options and reasons for each option. That's why I brought him my back problems. I am a patient of Dr. Perry, He is professional and very attentive. He has helped me since 2018 but, years prior to that I have been in nevada since 1996 and when I worked for the attorneys I sent many clients to Dr. Perry on and for and my attorneys and their clients.

Dr. Perrys, has been able to help them. Not, of our clients had any issues with him or staff everyone is very nice and helpful always.

He has best personality for all Orthopedics medical md and surgeries I know here and I’ve been a paralegal for 35 years in multiple states.

Desert Orthopedic has 4 locations my favorite is on DI but the staff goes with him. I highly recommend this office and this great and caring surgeon.

I, totally trust him and know I am safe with him. His Anostioulogist is wonderful and very qualified and caring! Great surgeon to everyone very professional and he is always happy. No happy no matter how busy he is, he takes his time to make sure you understand and feel comfortable as well as helping to get the problem fixed. Awesome Surgeon!

My experience over all was positive. However, the X-ray person seemed irritated with me. She said Miss Love with irritation in her voice. It continued during the X-ray. Had a back surgery l-3 l-4 fusion on 02/05/2019 and still in pain with terrible results.Have complained multiple times to office staff & was advised by Perry himselfon 05/15/2023 I was harassing lady on his staff.He is not top back surgeon in Las vegas.Stay away from him and his staff Not only could I never walk after his surgery I now have developed diabetes because I can no longer exercise.Please listen to me and stay away from him Also he sent me a letterto me stating I could never see him again or any of his colleages because of my poor results and negative reviews.My results were horrible and i was never able to walk on my own.stay away from him. I was so disappointed in this office. After by other half never meeting this doctor in the hospital after his trauma accident but billed a hefty amount and being told (1st thing out of reception mouth) you owe us money...
then our appointment that was in the AM not being seen for a long while, then when finally in a room being told oh you are not seeing the doctor just a PA.
That was the second irritation, and then after showing the PA and explaining new symptoms, and just a no that isn't from your back. No mri was ever done just xray and ct,
There is way more to the story but too much to list. I don't recommend this office at all

Dr Archie Perry is the best in the west. He monitored my scoliosis for about 5 years and he gave me every option possible before considering surgery due to the pain and the curvature. He did my spinal fusion/correction of T2- T12. I was walking day after surgery without a walker and healed really well.

I saw Dr. Perry, February 2026 for knife like pain in the left buttocks down to my knee. He only did x-rays did not order MRIs. He told me that the pain I had was not sciatica. I asked him what the pain was from, he told me and I quote “ Well, at least you don’t need surgery”. I have been in severe pain since February. I had MRIs done at my hips, showing tears in the muscles and tendons. I made an appointment with Dr Winder who had treated me prior. I thought Dr Winder had excellent skills and bedside manner. I made an appointment to see Dr Winder asking To see him 8/19/26. A PA walked into the room saying Dr Winder was in surgery And then I have been scheduled with the PA. I started crying as I have been in pain since February and I really wanted to see Dr Winder. I asked for management. They rescheduled me to see Dr Winder on.8/21/26. They knew that I had a torn rotator cuff and tears in my causing severe pain. Two hours later, Rosie called me and said that they would no longer see me as a patient there and I would receive a certified letter as to why. I doubt very seriously that Dr Winder was ever informed. So if you want to reschedule for who you want to be scheduled with and are told that that is who you are being scheduled with go somewhere else. Also, do not have the audacity to complain Or to be treated with respect in this office or they were fire you as a patient. because of Dr. Perry, I have been in pain since February And this office offered no relief
