I was extremely impressed by their care. My eye appointment was efficient, thorough and one other thing... the doctor told me that my eyes had not changed much in the last 18 months and that I don't necessarily need to buy more glasses. My friend stated that the customer service was great but that they really focused on the patients needs and listened to the patient. My family decided to give it a try. We were more than happy. It did not feel like a dr office, it felt welcoming and you felt comfortable. Both the eye exam and the experience of choosing new glasses met my expectations. I had no wait time at all and because it's a small office I felt more valued as a patient in comparison to some of the larger, commercial places I've been to in the past.
I also felt comfortable with the attendant in the retail section of the store, where I picked out my frames. He was not pressuring me to add on a lot of extras that are expensive, and I don't necessarily need.

Dr Chan takes the time to explain everything he is doing and gives you a good explanation of what he finds. My wife and I were both impressed with him. Update: We have been going to Arclight for the past 4 years. Today we had Dr. Velasco which was just as thorough as Dr Chan. Dr Velasco was very good at explaining our vision issues to my wife and I. We will continue to drive the 120 miles annually to get our eyes checked. After 3 months with these last glasses, I had to take them back. My left eye would not adjust to the new prescription. I paid to have another eye exam by Dr Gauthier. The new prescription was not even close to the one that Dr Velasco had written. The new prescription is very close to the 2 year old glasses that I had brought in for comparison. Not sure what happened but it cost me another $40 for the eye exam and I must wait another 2 to 3 weeks and drive the 120 miles back to Arclight. The good is that it will be no cost for the new lenses.
