It was a good decision to switch to Dr Mark Tan. I feel good knowing that my doctor is open to ideas and listens to my opinion or point of view. He does not impose. He gives the options. I don't feel scolded (compared to my previous PCP) or dictated. I mean, you're already sick then your PCP kinda scolds you? You get sicker.

They have a very nice doctor and nurses, but It's a nightmare and super frustrating to follow up if you encounter any issues with prescriptions, referrals etc. When you need to talk to them, you speak with AI and everyone else, except with the office staff. Dr. Mark Tan seems like a nice enough person, but the follow-through from this office is extremely poor.

I was prescribed a medication and the pre-authorization was denied. No one from the office contacted me about it. I had to call in myself just to find out. Even worse, there was no attempt to dispute or appeal the decision. It felt like they gave up immediately.

I made it very clear that I needed a call back. I asked for the doctor, his assistant, or even the office manager. Not a single person returned my call. That is unacceptable, especially when you are dealing with something as important as your health.

At the end of the day, if you are trying to be proactive and actually manage your healthcare, this office will not support you. You are just another co-pay to them.

If you are looking for a primary care doctor who communicates, follows through, and advocates for you, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

These people don't care about you and made getting referrals so difficult and I had to switch because Danielle Maston is a joke. Never got test results back thank God my OBGYN did the first referral because I would not have known anything was abnormal for my annual checkup, it definitely wasn't because this office told me anything! She isn't even a doctor, so I'm actually seeing a Doctor now who knows what they are doing and genuinely cares about getting me treatment. They lie to your face and think you don't see through the BS. She also cancelled my appointment on me when I had an infection and had Emily call me and say oh we will call you in medication so you don't have to come in, guess what Danielle Maston left that day and never called in anything for me. This is unacceptable. So happy with my new primary care doctor. If you want to just be a number not a person then go here!

Socorro at the front desk is one of the most unprofessional unpleasant miserable humans I’ve ever encountered. She was arguing with the client signing in before me saying she couldn’t accomplish what her medical need was and after the client said specifically her insurance told her to go there for the specific medical need it turned out the client was correct. My experience was very similar but worse. Socorro has no business being in any capacity of health care, let alone any thing to do with basic common courtesy and treating humans with respect. If I could give Socorro zero stars it would be a more accurate representation of her despicable demeanor and over all lack of tact. Go to a different one of their locations.

I rarely have good experiences at medical visits but today was a different story! The ladies at the front desk were so nice and Danielle was absolutely amazing! I usually leave doctor appointments disappointed and feeling like it was a waste of time but not today. Danielle took her time and listened to me describe all of my symptoms, asked followup questions, and just generally showed sympathy and concern which, sad to say, I am not accustomed to in the medical field. Mark Tan was terrible for a young Dr he needs to take ethic course in dealing with patients who are sick. He was pompous and condescending. Acted so unprofessional. Didn’t take time to introduce himself it was our first meeting. Wanted me to repeat all I told his assistant as well as his clinical assistant. When I told him he was asking questions I already answered twice already he blew up. He needs to learn how to speak to people with some compassion.

As a long-term patient of Astrana Care/Valley Oaks in Southern Hills, I have been pleasantly impressed with the newest doctor and staff’s professionalism and thoroughness with my health care. I had an excellent first experience at this office! I was able to book a same-day appointment through Zocdoc, and the front desk was very kind and welcoming. (The office is located around the back of the building, which was easy to find.) Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and professional. The doctor I saw, Loan Tong, APRN, was so kind and made me feel very comfortable. It’s such a relief to find a good doctor in Las Vegas. I’m so glad I found this office! It’s also close to my work, which makes it even more convenient. Highly recommend this office!

I was immediately greeted by a friendly front desk representative and was called very quickly after signing in. The medical assistant was super nice while taking my vitals. Dr. Chan came in soon after. He was very attentive and im sorry to hear he is transferring somewhere else. Quick check out and I was finished! Very impressed over all. Thank you!

If I could give zero stars I would. I definitely do not recommend. Sat in the waiting room for over an hour while the front in take girl complained the whole time about someone who was not working there that day and saying “what does she do around here?” constantly, then followed up with her discussing another employees annual review and how they aren’t getting raises. Finally saw the NP Tong and told her my experience upfront to which she said she would notify the front about. Tong displayed little to no interest in the patient and was just trying to get to the next. When I went to check out and leave the front desk staff I guess ‘tried’ to apologize but more defended their conversations saying they were meant to be private as that was their space. I informed them that the whole front room can hear everything so they’re not private conversations. You can also hear all the other rooms, so there is little to no privacy. While I sat in the patient room 2 for Tong I could hear room 3’s entire conversation, as well as two women in the hall saying how one of the Doctors refuses to use room 4 to see patients. What’s wrong with room 4? Furthermore, why not fix it? The whole place seems to be unhappy with their work environment and it shows.

This office went above and beyond to take care of my needs… I was completely impressed with Emily, who handled my stat request for an ultrasound, and took the extra time to reference a call with my insurance company who tried to deny the test… Very rarely do I get such great service from a doctor and their staff, if I could give six stars I would.

If you’re looking for a place that lacks accountability and treats you like a number then this is the right place for you.

Staff is always busy to take any questions and service skills are practically non existent. They are understaffed (self admitted) and create many excuses for why things are dysfunctional. Even getting a question answered is over the phone or in person seems like a crime to some of them. Also, don’t even think about providing feedback. They won’t care.

The is coming from a 67 year old disabled retiree just needing follow ups and a referral to a specialist. I can’t imagine if I needed more. Never again and proceed at your own risk.

My first visit went well. However, there was a lack of attention to detail when it came to my medications. One of my medications was left off the list to refill and another medication was refilled wrong. I think it's important for the doctor/nurse to double check with the patients their medication list prior to ending the visit to make sure mistakes don't happen and everything is clarified before leaving. My blood pressure has increased because I was prescribed the wrong dosage and my maintenance asthma inhaler was delayed and I had to go without for several days until the pharmacy adds them to stock, which is requiring me to use my rescue inhaler quite a bit. The staff was very friendly though.

Loan was great! She listened carefully to my concerns and asked a lot of important questions regarding my various issues. I feel like my care is in wonderful hands. She suggested a few changes to my current medications which I’m confident will be most helpful.
