Used to be the best dental office in town, but unfortunately my last visit was extremely disappointing.
The dental hygienist removed her gloves and then deliberately placed them on top of the sanitized, sterile dental instruments and cleaning supplies. That raised serious concerns about cleanliness and infection control.
After my cleaning, I waited more than 45 minutes to see the dentist, but the doctor never showed up. I brought both issues to the attention of the front desk staff, but they did not seem concerned or take any action.
The quality of this office has gone downhill. Based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend it and would advise others to look elsewhere

My family used to go to a different dental office, but we came here for the first time to get a second opinion. Thanks to their promotion, the price was great, and most importantly, everyone who works here was incredibly kind. My 6-year-old son wasn’t scared at all and was able to get his exam comfortably, and even his baby sister, who was waiting for her brother, felt relaxed in the warm atmosphere.

Went here for an exam and cleaning. Was told I needed an enormous amount of work done on my teeth. High $$$$. No way could I afford all of this. While trying to come up with a way to do one root canal and crown I know I needed done, that tooth cracked and so I knew the only thing I could do was an extraction at this time. Went in on July 28th had the extraction. During the procedure we had to change rooms because his tools were not working, and if that wasn't a bad enough sign I should have not been there, when I checked out they printed my rx on printer paper without all the info on it, I am being prepped for heart surgery and other procedures so I shouldn't be popping pain meds and when I saw the paper prescription was missing information I never filled it. By day two I started getting sever nerve pain and had to take OTC pain meds. The office is closed on Fridays and no way to reach the Dr after hours so when the pain started to reach my ear and cheek bones there was no one to call. The next Monday was my 1 week check up and asked to come in early, 1. The lady who answered thought a GI Dr meant I was pregnant and 2. they had forgotten I already had a tooth extraction - this was getting really bad. Got there at 12pm and explained to the Dr how bad my pain was, he said that's normal and I should just take my pain meds and he will give me z-pak just in case of infection, and I was given another printed script. (Mind you, I am a degreed H.R.B.P and worked in an HR office over seeing 200 dental offices in 5 states for 3 years). I took both scripts to pharmacy and they of course said this is not a correct or legal script but we will as a courtesy call the dental office for you. Next day still cannot not sleep pain is getting worse not better? Tried the 800mg motrin with 1 Tylenol as advised and nothing. Called insurance advised what was going on and asked what can I do. They called office and asked to get referral to oral surgeon, this office made an appointment for me, told insurance they would take xrays and give me a referral. I get to appointment they take xrays, treat the extraction site, print rx for controlled substance (I explain this is not a correct rx and pharmacy is not going to be happy, they tell me they are not allowed to give me that information) but do not give me referral just another appointment. The new pain meds do not work, I feel like I've been punched in the face over and over and I cannot sleep at all, if I do manage to fall asleep I wake up an hour later in extreme pain. I have to take care of a 12 year old autistic boy with major behavioral issues, while trying to manage migraines and other health issues and stay awake while I drive to and from multiple doctors appointments. Oh and speaking of other appointments, the office staff here love to just make me appointments without asking when I'll be available like I just sit at home watching soaps all day long. No respect, I'm treated like a drug addict and all I want are drugs, when all I really want is the Dr to fix the problem with the nerve and the pain not shove bandages at me, oh and they never have anything in stock no meds, hand tools don't work, its no wonder he tries to find things to work on with his patients. My family is helping me to pay for an implant and at the consultation when looking over xrays they did not tell me I needed $$$$ in dental work done, they also have patients coming and going all the time. Best care needs to change their name to Worst care and the Dr there needs to find another career as dentistry is not for him. I'd rather be in pain then go back there ever again.

I took my husband there but quickly noticed the dentist was all about making cash money from his patients. Instead of helping by giving options about what he can do that insurance will cover, he dismissed everything about dental insurance coverages by saying the only thing that will work is if we pay minimum $24,000 for dental work. Which is ridiculous & insane. Also, the dentist is very cocky & rude. If he doesn't like what you're saying, he will call you a liar. Dr Popescu and the staff were very professional and courteous but a few years ago they sold the business to some very rude and incompetent people. They front desk or billing staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing and they have tried to over charge me 3 times even after I've confirmed with them multiple times that everything is paid or covered by my insurance and my account with them has $0 balance. Scheduled a simple cementing of a gold crown, instead they decided it was necessary to instead do a full set of dental X-rays numb my face, and make me wait for an hour in a room by myself before telling me that they don’t have the proper equipment to cement my crown.

The next day I requested to have my X-rays sent to a new dentist who could cement the crown, they didn’t send them as promised. It wasn’t until I called and stayed on the phone with them until they sent the X-rays that they were received by the new dentist.

In summary bad business practices and it really didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing. Find another dentist.

Unfortunately, his mannerisms and communication style left much to be desired, resembling that of an unscrupulous used car salesman. Upon learning the extent of my insurance coverage, his demeanor became abrupt at the front desk, presenting a lengthy list of costly options. It is advisable to carefully scrutinize your bill and seek clarification from "Eric," who conducted himself as if he were the proprietor of Best Dental. Regrettably, my encounter was disheartening.

Son’s initial consultation was thorough & complete! They explained in detail the dental work that would be necessary so that he could start Radiation treatment!

I have had good service with Dr. Ottoson until today. After going in for a bridge procedure my mouth is cut and scraped on the inside. His dental technician did a rushed job putting my temporary tooth on, and it definitely shows. Apart from how it looks it is extremely sharp and making the already cut inside of my mouth more painful. It seemed he was doing surgery for 3 other patients at the exact same time he was doing mine. Eric was very helpful.... Dr.ottoson is awesome and Miguel the hygienist was awesome as well. Plus all of their staff who's names I don't remember I suggest you try this dentist out.

It had been awhile since I'd been to a dentist..Bestcare is very affordable, with top notch service. Miguel and Thomas are the type of people that you want running a business . I highly recommend this dental office. They are very caring & guide you thru the procesd.

This was my first visit at best care dental. I googled and found it. The best decision I’ve made. I’ve had anxiety about going to the dentist , as I’m sure a lot of people do. But Miguel treated me like a friend and showed he cares. He wasn’t just trying to do his job he wanted to make me feel comfortable and showed he wanted me to feel happy. After doing a deep cleaning and X-rays I’m not scared to go to the dentist now and that’s all because of Miquel and also Thomas at the front desk, I think he’s the office manager. Those two really just really made this visit so pleasant. I defiantly recommend. If I could give ten stars I would.

I am petrified of the dentist but coming to Best Care has definitely made my visits easy. Especially once Dr. Otteson took over! Should be -5 stars. Had a ad for an exam + x-rays + cleaning for $49, but they can not do a basic cleaning. Just a waste of time and money.

I found Bestcare Dental quite by accident. But I definitely needed a new dentist. This is my 3rd time in so far for denture fittings and they have been absolutely wonderful. Miquel is quite knowledgeable and takes time and care to make sure I understand what he's doing and to give me the very best experience. Can't wait for the final product!

Today would be the fifth time they made me an appointment and done nothing. I made a mistake switching my whole family to Best Care Dental they are the worst dental service I’ve ever had to deal with starting with the front office all the way down to the doctors.

Bestcare Dental is awesome. The front desk are very nice and treat you like family. I was afraid have denture but working with Miguel was awesome. Any issue I had he actually fixed it. I understand that it will take time to get use to but having Bestcare dental as my dental plan is the best thing.

Since ownership has changed this place has gone downhill. They seem like they are trying to get any penny they can from you, as well as trying to upsell procedures that are unnecessary. Staff is far from on the same page, they will tell you one thing and when you come back it’s something totally different. If you’re looking for a dentist who cares go elsewhere.

Suggested an unnecessary procedure, incorrectly preformed it, and didn't freely correct it when a problem arose. Been there a few times since Dr. Kim and came to the conclusion that like most dental stores in Vegas, they're very greedy and dishonest, just my 2 cents. Also, I recently saw one of the techs with glassy eyes, might have been stoned or something.
