Outstanding emergency service. My son experienced an accident and the hospital told us we needed to seek emergency dental care the next day. The children’s dental office he usually visits would not support emergency care on the weekend. Canyon Family Dental got him right in even though they don’t usually treat children. I have severe dental anxiety! I had a cracked crown , and also had not been to the dentist in 4 years. The initial X-rays were fine and the lady who did them ( I forgot her name) was so kind and told me what she was doing every step ) Georgie came and talked to me and she was my angel. So kind , understanding and helpful. Sean , the hygienist did an exam and also was so kind as I was having a hard time . Dr. Sung came to exam me and tell me what needed to be done. She was very kind , and helped me feel at ease. I appreciate everyone that helped me that day . The office is very nice , clean and warm feeling . I would recommend Canyon family dentistry !

I cannot recommend this team enough! I recently had a root canal and a crown procedure here, and every single person made the experience completely seamless.
​Dr. Bagg and his assistant Vanessa did an amazing job with the root canal. Dr. Bagg thoroughly explained what to expect during and after the procedure, and the entire process was completely painless.
​For the crown procedure, Dr. Schneider and her assistant Georgie were equally fantastic. They walked me through what to expect and gave me clear, easy-to-follow home care instructions.

This place is horrible. Dentist is in and out, doesn't even take time to get to know you or what you're in there for. I came in yesterday because I had been dealing with a toothache, didn't even bother to look at the ACTUAL tooth that had the ache, just assumed it was one of the teeth next to it because of the xray he saw. Literally was in the room with me for I kid you not 2 minutes, then dipped outta there.

Finished my cleaning and they were trying to schedule me for a filling for a tooth that didnt have any pain when I wanted them to take care of the tooth that had the pain coming from it!!!

You can tell this place is super corporate just trying to churn patients in and out. I bet they have metrics on the number of patients seen in a day that they need to hit. DO NOT GO HERE. I dont understand how they have all these good reviews.

I set up my appointment from one of the “sister properties” a month earlier. I needed to see the oral surgeon and this was where he was going to be when I was able to get the work done.
My appointment was set for 10am. I showed up early so I had time to fill out paperwork and was told that my appointment was only for a consultation. When I informed them that I was suppose to get the work completed that day, they were able to get me in . So the one star isn’t for that confusion.
They did change my appointment to 12 that day. Which wasn't a problem. But, when I returned, I checked in and sat in the lobby for almost two hours before getting called back to be seen. I was sedated for my appointment and was out of it for most of the day. So I’m not really sure how long I was getting worked on.
Later that day, I started feeling like getting the work done was a mistake. I looked into other options and decided to get a consultation from another dentist office this week. The new office did an x-ray and informed me that one of the bad teeth that the oral surgeon was supposed to pull, was still there. I wasn't aware that it was still there because it’s just the root that he left behind.
I would not recommend this office.

I went in for a root canal today, and the doctor was absolutely AMAZING! When I say I have a very low tolerance for pain, I mean it 😂—but I didn’t feel a thing! He was so gentle throughout the entire procedure. I had absolutely ZERO pain, not even from the numbing shot. I honestly couldn’t believe it! I would recommend him to the whole world if I could. My experience was extremely frustrating. The office processes are very inefficient, and the wait times were excessive. I spent nearly 2 hours just for introductory X-rays and then waited again for what turned out to be about a 3-minute exam with the dentist. On top of that, they couldn’t even guarantee that my cleaning would be completed during the first visit.

The billing process was equally disappointing. The treatment pricing didn’t make sense, and no one was able to clearly explain why the estimates didn’t match my insurance coverage.

While I was waiting in lobby, there were six other patients waiting as well looking like they have been waiting for a long time, which suggests this wasn’t just for me.

Overall, what should have been a straightforward one hr routine dental appointment turned into a long, confusing, and frustrating experience. I won’t be returning.

Currently laying awake at 4am because I cant sleep from the pain of a simple cavity fix. This might be the first time in my life I go to the dentist with zero pain and leave only to feel excruciating, restless pain 5 days after the procedure.
Went in on Tuesday to get a cavity fixed and was told repeatedly that she wouldn’t know if I would need a root canal because she couldn’t tell from the X-ray how close the cavity was to the nerve, and if I was feeling excruciating pain a week after that I should come back and they could go ahead and do a root canal through the crown. This should have been my first sign to leave and get a second opinion somewhere else… and that’s on me.
But my thing is, if I’m already getting this cavity fixed, why not double check, and make sure I won’t need one instead of potentially having to make me come back AGAIN. After the multiple X-rays, and actually going in and drilling my tooth, for the doctor to not know if my cavity is touching the nerve should have been my second sign that this wasn’t going to end well…
I honestly don’t know what or how this cavity fix was done but I am currently in more pain than I was before. I am not one to take pain medication but the pain is so unmanageable that I find myself having to take them just to even sleep!
I will say, this is not a negative review on the front desk staff nor the way my crown looks bc it’s impossible to even tell which one it was but rather on my experience on the nonchalant “you can come back and we can do a root canal through the crown since it has warranty if you’re experiencing pain later on” attitude. Almost like you actually want me to come back for a root canal- attitude to experience. I am in so much pain I don’t even know if this review makes sense.
Also as a mom to a newborn baby I already don’t get enough sleep and I didn’t need another reason to keep me up at night :/

Music throughout the lobby and exam area far to loud to hear anyone speaking to you or hear you name called to come back to the exam area. As a new patient I expect the full rundown of X-rays, exam, treatment suggestions, etc. When all of that was done, I was informed all of their hygienist were backed up and I was asked if I can come back at 4pm for my cleaning. Um no, it’s 130 and I was here as a new patient at 1pm, you can’t expect me to come back 2.5 hours later.

Came here for 2nd opinion on whether I need crowns. Dr. Schneider was very thorough in examining my xrays and teeth. She also explained them to me in details and answered all my questions. She understands I don't want anything aggressive unless I REALLY need it. I trust this dentist, she was not pushy and I can truly see that she cares for her patients. I checked both of my children in here today and was very disappointed with the lack of customer service and professionalism from the front office staff. Upon arrival, the staff at the counter was neither welcoming nor friendly.

When I was asked to sign the digital pad, it was not functioning properly. After multiple attempts, I was repeatedly told that I was “doing it wrong.” I was then given another device to sign with, which also did not work, yet I was again told I was not using it correctly. It later became apparent the issue was with the device itself, not me.

I was honestly taken back by how unfriendly and unprofessional the interaction felt. In addition, another front staff member speaking on the phone nearby also came across as rude.

If you wish to retain Clients, I would strongly recommend training your front counter staff to be focused on customer service, professionalism, and communication. Experiences like this leave a very poor impression, and if I have another experience like this one, I will seek another dental office for my family’s care.

Your front desk receptionist is very condescending. She called to verify my insurance 30 minutes before my appointment. My insurance has changed and apparently whomever was verifying insurances during the week when they confirmed my appointment didn’t mention they didn’t update my new insurance and told me to bring it in. Of course on a Sunday verifying insurance is most likely impossible. No problem things happened, but the way it was addressed by Gloria was unnecessary. When I asked her why she was letting me know now, her response was “you could have also called to let us know”. At this point I’m not going back and forth to let her know that I did and was told to bring new insurance in, the question for me is why even respond that way? Then she informed me of a $50 outstanding bill that was due, again, why am I being told this right before arriving? When asked when was this bill rendered she was naming months and so I reiterated the month November - her response “yes October was your service and October comes before November”. I’m grown and I know the order of the months of the year. Just a smart Alec with a nasty attitude. Full of unnecessary conversation when I was coming in for a simple cleaning and trying to understand what this bill was for. I’ve been coming to this dentist for about two years now and everyone has always been super friendly and helpful, it was obvious Gloria wasn’t in the mood to work today - which is understandable on a Sunday, but I don’t make the schedules. Just a nasty poor attitude individual. I won’t be returning.

One of the hardest parts of moving is finding your new dentist! I picked well! Had a great experience today at Canyon Family Dentistry! A new patient exam revealed that I had a cracked filling. They were able to fix and give me a beautiful crown… they saved me from a route canal! I also got a cleaning today. I was only there for a couple hours, the permanent ceramic crown already adorning my head (teeth)! Everyone was so nice… and Dr. Kim and staff made it a painless, relaxing experience. Was a great experience overall for a first visit...reception, nurses, doctors were all friendly and professional. I wish I could remember all their names, as it was by far better experience than I would have ever expected. Dr. Kim, Iris? (person who checked me out) Kimberly, Nancy, and all the others...Thank you. Frustrating dealing with tooth pain, but everything was explained clearly and had a clear plan when I Ieft. The dentist I was going to was good but could not get me in for 2 weeks or so when I was having an emergency so luckily, Canyon Family Dentistry & Orthodontics saved the day. They were able to quickly get me in for a referral, see the specialist then the oral surgeon all in the same building. As a result, I have switched to Canyon Family Dentistry & Orthodontics. So far, I have had an exam, cleaning, minor dental work, fitting for a night guard and partial denture. Dr. Kim, the dental assistants and the admin staff are awesome and make the entire dental experience easy and comfortable. I highly recommend Canyon Family Dentistry & Orthodontics for their professional and personable staff, hours of operation, convenience of specialists in the same building and high tech dental equipment such as the 3D imaging used to make my night guard.

Will be finding another dentist. I’ve really tried to give this place a chance because it’s not easy as a military family to find new dental offices. I’ve had multiple cleanings where the hygienist or assistant were not thorough: missed many teeth on the cleaning and flossing, moved me through far too quickly, had to come back for another appointment to even be able to see a dentist at one point, dentist came in and didn’t even check teeth, etc. Just seems like a conveyor belt of patients they try to push through as quickly as possible with little to no training of staff to do a professional job. One experience I had was asking if the dentist could simply file down a tooth of mine that had become jagged and chipped. Other dentists have done this at no cost during my cleanings. They gave me a quote of nearly $100 with insurance, but that I’d have to come back later because the dentist wasn’t available for the 30 second procedure. I scheduled and was on my way and was informed that they needed to reschedule. Then I showed up to my newly scheduled appointment and they said they thought they had communicated to me that I needed to reschedule again but couldn’t see me that day either.

Needless to say, they are very disorganized, lack proper training, and are just interested in processing as many claims for payment as possible. Sad to say I will need to find a new dentist.

As someone who was terrified of the dentist, to the point where the dentist chair felt like my personal hell, I can now say that after my experience at Canyon Family Dentistry, Dr. Kim was awesome and really cared, wanting to make sure I was taken care of. Dr. Durrant and Ruby were incredible during my wisdom teeth surgery. I thought I would be in pain for days, but it was only a little sore, and it's healing up really well. I can't thank them enough. I no longer fear the dentist. From the moment you walk in, the staff is fantastic and friendly, the music is great, and you never feel like they are just trying to charge you. Everyone at the practice was so professional and kind, from the medical receptionists at the front desk, to the medical assistants, to the dentists. I’m very nervous about going to the dentist but they all kept me pretty relaxed and explained everything and were very transparent about what was needed for my dental health. Okay Im not one for reviews but I have to post this. Dr Kim and his team are the best! He is the absolute 100% real deal!! Best Dentist I have ever had. Best dentist hands too and no pain!!! Cleaned my teeth like new! Didnt lie to me and tell me that I needed $10,000 worth of work like the last liar, I mean dentist I went to. If you need an honest dentist that does exceptional work and you don't need a second mortgage to pay for it, then I highly recommend Canyon Family Dentistry & Orthodontics! Needed an emergency filling to repair chipped tooth on a Saturday, & am new to Sunstone area. Was pleasantly surprised to find Canyon Family was open & able to see & treat me. This is my neighborhood dentist, and they’re open seven days a week, which is incredibly convenient. My husband went in for his first visit and had a great experience, so I decided to book an appointment as well. From check-in to the appointment itself, everything was seamless, and I was seen right on time.

I was initially scheduled just for an exam, but they were able to complete my cleaning, cavity filling, and gum laser treatment all in the same visit. The staff was warm, welcoming, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the appointment. I highly recommend this dentist.

Second time going here and I was blown away just as I was the first time. Their customer service, communication, thoroughness of my initial exam, and completely pain-free cleaning made this a great experience. They didn’t just go through the motions and do the bare minimum. They explained every step of the process and what they were seeing.

I have been terrified of the dentist due to malpractice and the obvious. 😂. Canyon dental had a completely different feeling than a normal dentist office.
They got me in same day, checked me out with x-rays, and gave a very clear explanation to what was causing the issues I was having.
Very comfortable, very honest, gentle hands, good vibe.

It’s Christmas Eve morning and what happens????My crown from a past dentist (that always gave me issues) fell out! I panicked! Friendly and knowledgeable, and they make crowns onsite, so you don't have to make an extra trip to replace a temporary crown. Dr Schneider is very compassionate and made the unpleasant experience of having a crown replaced as painless as possible.

I feel fortunate to have found them, as finding a good dentist in Las Vegas can be quite a challenge. Costs are discussed up-front, and there is no pressure to commit. I appreciate their service.
