Better than I expected. I had thought it would be a simple consolation and sent on my way for X-rays or CT scans and then a follow up a month after all that. I am a retired orthopedic surgeon who saw Dr. Tingey on 12.4.23 for a problem with my hip and elbow. He was kind, caring, compassionate, polite and took his time to take an excellent history and do a thorough examination. His examination was comprehensive, efficient and very gentle. He took x-rays and reviewed them with me in a very thorough manner. I needed four injections for my hip and elbow. As they were quite complex injections, Dr. Tingey performed them himself. During injections he was very gentle, took his time so that he could put the injected material exactly where it needed to be. As I sit here writing this, my elbow has no pain now and my hip is a lot better. I will be eternally thankful to Dr. Tingey for his wonderful care. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs orthopedic care in his field of specialty. If I could give them 50 stars I would.

I met Dr Tingey for my first appointment to discuss possible surgery on my left knee. I have some small tears or flaps from use after an extensive knee surgery 25 years ago. I went to two doctors who I felt unsure about. I just thought there was something lacking in their approach that made me question whether I should trust them with a surgery, even given that this is a much less invasive surgery then the previous one. I love yoga, it is a big part of my life, and my recent tears have left me unable to practice yoga. Going into surgery is so important to me but questionable given that I have no pain. Dr Tingey is the only doctor I feel I can trust with my knee. He was articulate, kind, and thoughtful. He explained everything about my knee that the other doctors didn’t even take the time to view on the MRI. He drew pictures and explained everything thoroughly. He spoke to me about options and really understood how much this means to me. I went home so happy that I found a doctor I could trust and actually cared about what it means to lose your ability to be involved in something you love. I have spoken to others who have been through surgery with him and have been so happy to have such a great doctor. I will also mention that the office staff is incredible. They are swift, organized and kind. Four people worked with me and it was like clockwork, everything about the office is very professional.

Desert orthopedic is the only place I go and have gone in the past. We like the centennial office. The whole staff including the other departments like exray and the reception area are so nice. They treat you with respect and talk to you like family. I have never come across anyone in a bad mood. Things are explained where I can understand what is happening and what will happen. As far as the doctors, Dr. Tingey is very sociable and treats you so well. He is very knowledgable and I trust him implicitly. He did a great job with my hip replacement. I have also seen Dr. Dunn for my back and Dr. Rassie for my foot. Both are also very good. This is such a comfortable and trusted place to go to and I recommend them highly.
