The Green Valley Location for Children’s Dentistry is absolutely the best! From the staff in the front desk, the medical assistants and the Dentists themselves. Top notch! They are incredibly patient and professional with the children and take the time to explain the process from start to finish to the child. I am sad to post this review but I believe it is necessary. This office had been my daughter’s dental provider for over 10 years. During that time we have never gotten anything but stellar service. However, something must have changed in their mindset or policy. Due to unforeseen circumstances we missed an appointment and were not able to notify the office in time. Due to ONE missed appointment my daughter had been put on a restricted appointment status and the office has advised she can only be seen during the mornings or early afternoon before 1pm. My daughter is a HS junior with perfect attendance from Pre-K until now. When we advised the office my daughter could not comply with the restriction, we were told they could provide us with a doctor’s note. Unfortunately that would not excuse the absence at school and it would damage her attendance record. My daughter takes school very serious in both her grades and attendance. I don’t understand how a dentist office can be so stringent after her being a patient and having only missed one appointment without notice during her time as a patient there. When we we expressed that if they would not reconsider lifting the restriction we would have to change providers we were told sorry to see you go ( I am paraphrasing not being literal) it is disappointing to know this office is making it seem like they care more about headcount than giving a child some grace and understanding that life happens. If the doctor was to have an emergency or all of a sudden not be able to show up for her patients they would not be put on restriction; would they? We will be changing providers due to this unfortunate situations but I thought parents should know that it seems mistakes or life situations are not really a concern of this office.

Laura cleaned my daughter's teeth gently, she liked her a lot and asked me to always come back here. Dr Sina visited her patiently and spend time with us, talked to her and made sure she is comfortable and not scared. I have been going to this location for years! I was trying to reschedule an appointment with janice and her response was very frantic. “ I can’t I can’t I have staff here” I don’t particularly know what she meant by that. But the way she raised her voice in that moment left me confused and unsettled. So I said okay.. my child has school I cannot come unless it’s afternoon. Her response was we do Monday-Thursday and his appointment as of this year can only be in the morning. There was no SOLUTION. It’s a straight flat no, okay since there is no solution to the problem I will be taking my kid elsewhere. Please get better front desk receptionist who are less frantic thank you.

The staff here are phenomenal! Including the dentist herself. The staff helped with the many questions we had for our boys, patient forms, deductibles and copays. Not only were they accommodating but also handled our two boys with such great care! You can tell they truly are in it for the work with children and that each child matters..my oldest son's procedure went very well and the dentist was raving about his personality. Absolute worst experience for my daughter yesterday!
Did not numb my daughter or have the mask on her face correctly before I ran back to the room from hearing her SCREAM IN PAIN! They pretty much yanked her tooth out of her mouth with no remorse! The Dr was soo focused on treating her grown up son who walked in during our appointment that she forgets little kids are terrified as it is. She showed no remorse and gave no APOLOGY TO MY DAUGHTER! We will never return and I will be contacting the board!

I’m terrible with names so I don’t remember but the front desk lady, I think her name is Bernice, was an absolute delight. She was so kind and welcoming that my son immediately felt comfortable and told me he likes that dentist place already. We had to switch because he did not like this other dental office and honestly I didn’t either. So glad we switched. Our first visit went great! Everyone was so nice and I’m extremely happy and grateful they let me go back there with him. The last place wouldn’t and my son would cry. I wouldn’t understand why but not this place. I got to be with him the whole time and i super appreciate that. They gave me advice on ortho, the ladies in the back were great and then the dentist himself was super cool and nice. Fantastic staff! So nice and accommodating. My 3 year old has some major tooth decay and not once did they make me feel judged or bad, the doctor offered solutions and advice on how to fix the issue. Simple and effective and gave the plan of action the same day. Whole appointment was maybe an hour long. My children have been coming here since they were little and my mind is blown at the fact we are now being denied services because I refused having them do X-rays every six months just for a regular check up when the Dental Association says it’s ok for kids ages 6-12 years to have X-rays done every 12-36 months. “The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends dental X-rays for children based on individual needs, not routine scheduling.” My son had one done at this clinic 13 months ago which is still considered a normal amount of time. I talked to them about my concerns about radiation exposure since my son had other X-rays done this year for different reasons in other clinics and they didn’t care since that’s their “policy”. Their lack of empathy for parents concerns and their lack of respect at our right to refuse treatments that are not needed are simply baffling. We’ll gladly find a doctor that listens to our concerns and don’t use their “policy” as a way to make money from the insurance for treatments that even the Dental Association tells us are not necessary. Their policies have not our children best interests in mind since they preferred to deny services rather than take into consideration our individual needs. If your policies hurt your patients is a good time to re think them and to change them. Absolutely disgusted by the way you treated us.

We left our previous office to try an office that specializes in kids with autism. The office is a little outdated but that’s now why we changed. I don’t need an office with the most recent equipment, I needed a place that would have patience with our son. Our first appointment was yesterday and from the front office to the assistant all the way to the doctor everyone was professional and friendly!!!! They communicate with us and with my son. TLDR - very capable and experienced but not upfront about anything

Very capable dentist(s) but not upfront and hard to build trust. I came specifically looking for a sedation consultation. The assigned dentist said she "may not be the dentist performing the surgery that day". She was NEVER going to be the dentist performing the surgery as only Dr. Sina does. Then two days before the long awaited surgery date Dr. Sina needed to see my daughter for a second consultation specifically with her or they were calling off the surgery. She said she wouldn't do root canals, which was never what we wanted or talked about doing with any dentist. Day of the surgery they had us show up several hours too early. They had us arrive before they even started the patient before us. During sedation Dr. Sina did additional work that we never discussed and I would not have agreed to (arguably I'm sure it is work that many other dentists would have agreed they would have done as well, it was my personal preferences not to). Then after the surgery Dr. Sina said she would have done the root canal if she needed (a direct contradiction to what she said said before surgery). I'm not sure what she was trying to do but at no point did I feel anyone was being upfront and honest with me

You need to get better front staff. Your receptionist “D” needs to learn customer service. She called me 20 minutes before my appointment, when she had all day and all week to call me, but waited until the last minute. And when I brought this up, she told me that “she wasn’t sorry” and that she didn’t care that I left a one star review and “good for doing that”. You just lost a customer. Which is a shame because the dentist here are really good but that front staff are terrible. When I wanted to speak to someone else, the receptionist “D”, said that there was no one else to help me. So when someone else finally came to help me because I was so upset that D called me several times and still was telling me she couldn’t find anything and that it was my fault for not having the insurance, I told the other receptionist that I was happy for her help because D wasn’t doing anything, D then stood up and said that I better not be saying what she is and isn’t doing. If that is the type of staff that you hire. That is horrible! This showed not only the lack of being prepared, as this office had weeks to reach out to me, but also showed how unprofessional their staff is. I didn’t catch the receptionist with the attitudes name but I heard the coworkers call her “D”. I would avoid this place as they not only aren’t prepared and will call you 20 minutes before your appointment to tell you that they need something, but then their front staff are horrible and give you an attitude when you point out why this wasn’t asked for earlier. If I could give this place less than one stars I would. If you really want an accurate review of how this dentist treats their patients, I would look at their Yelp page because what those Customers described there is exactly what I experienced.

This place has the BEST staff you could ask for! From the front desk ladies to the staff in the back! My 7 year old was extremely scared and Laura talked him through every step and was patient the entire time. They made the whole experience enjoyable and fun!

The team at Dentistry for Children are all they are the best! 10 out of 10 stars if I could. They make my kids laugh every time we go there, everybody is very personable, smiling, great eye contact, and professional. They have wonderful attention to detail with scheduling, reminders, and follow up. I’ve never had anything negative come from any kids and it seems like other patients and parents beside us also get the good vibes. Special shout out to Taylor, she goes the distance! Even recommended a specific type of floss for my kids with new braces , definitely request her if you can!

We decide to come here after the last dentist didn’t seem to care much for my children’s dental health, the staff at the reception was amazingly helpful, we had to change the primary care provider to this office and they help us with this process, Dr Sina took her time to check each one of the children and referred us to the orthodontist, Overall great experience, they started the treatment and everything is going well, we are happy to do the move to this office.

We are so happy we were able to stay with Dr. Saxe! The office staff was amazing they really care about their patients. The environment was welcoming and warm. The hygienist's took their time with my kids. My son is a handful and they were great with him. My daughter has anxiety and they were amazing taking their time with her and guiding her through everything. Would very highly recommend!

My 6-year-old has a heart problem as well as a pretty severe connective tissue disorder that causes teeth to prematurely rocked and fall out. This makes dental Care complicated. Searching around for a new dentist was a pain but after I called and spoke with the receptionist I was comfortable and confident in my choice. They got both of my boys in next day even though they couldn't do a cleaning on my youngest due to his heart condition. They did X-rays and we formulated a plan on how we were going to come after the genetic issue that has screwed his teeth and what we will do to attempt some form of prevention even though it's unlikely that we can. They were caring and understanding and absolutely incredible.
