Was ecstatic when my husband & I first found Dr Rosenstein as a primary care provider & did not want to lose him We signed up for MDVIP. Had the unfortunate emergency on a Friday early evening needed to contact Dr Rosenstein by phone for advice, he picked up on the second ring and provided clear instructions to present to the Emergency Room. Once there he called 2 more times to check on us. Luckily no hospital admission but he called the next morning to to follow up, advised a follow up office visit needed. Scheduled same day appointment very easy. Little waiting time, offices are warm, spacious, staff is efficient. Dr Rosenstein is very knowledgeable, compassionate, he presents information in clear communication, allows time for questions, his speech/voice is very soft. Only one recommendation, staff to wear name tags.

Dr. Rosenstein had been my PCP for 11 years until this summer. He recently decided to join a member's only medical group called MDVIP, which charges a minimum $3,000 annually just to be member on top of whatever you pay out of pocket for your medical care. He framed it as an innovation in healthcare that would allow him to provide superior care to his patients. Maybe he truly believes this, but I've spent the last 4 months blocking telemarketing phone calls from him, from MDVIP, and from his new practice that I never gave my information to. Not to mention the letters and emails "selling" me on their for rich people only medical club. Did I mention being invited to a dinner and informational lecture at the ballroom inside a hotel and casino to answer all my questions about their club? I felt like I was in a high pressure time-share presentation trying to get the free show tickets before they steal my identity.
MDVIP is just another fracture in a broken healthcare sector where people with money and means can pay for better care while the rest of us suffer with whatever is left. When I emailed the doctor personally to explain that regardless of whatever benefits he thought joining this program would bring me, the cost was completely prohibitive for me and that I could potentially end up in a position where I would be choosing between healthcare and food if I agreed to this membership club just to keep him as a doctor. I received no reply.
However, during my last appointment with him he proceeded to tell me to my face that he appreciated my email claiming that the membership fee was equal to my food budget because it gave him and his staff a "good laugh" and made their day. I was beyond disgusted that this doctor who claims to be joining this network because he cares so much about his patients would boast to my face that he made fun of my financial situation and then shared my personal information with his staff so they could all make fun of me together. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
I am glad to have seen the last of him. And I hope his patients are aware that all he cares about is his own ego, not them. And that is why he joined this network so he can treat only rich people. Good riddance.

A little bit of history. My daughter is a med school student, I have been overweight for a long time, and she encouraged me to go see a doctor and get a through check up done.

Dr. Rosenstein had me get a bunch of lab work done. Remarkable, not much was bad, but my testosterone was low. He also prescribed me Zepbound.

After six months, I have lost 70 pounds and feel the best I have felt for a long time. In Dr. Rosenstein’s words, I don’t feel better, I feel normal because I was sick before, obese and low T.

He is one of the few, maybe only doctor, that ever checked my testosterone as normal testing, and helped me with my obesity.

UPDATE: "There is no CPT code for caring"...describes him in the fewest words possible. Dr. Rosenstein's caring comes from the heart and has to do with possessing a form of empathy so rare. It is as though he has personally experienced struggles like us.
He doesn't look at you from a distance, but is right there with you. You never need to worry about the doctor as skeptic (the lazy doctor is skeptical because it is easier than to investigate and recognize each of us are truly unique.

Another wonderful skill only those who keep their ego in check have is knowing his limits. It is so refreshing to have a doc say "I don't know, but I know who probably does". Since he is so well-respected in the medical community, he has access to referral doctors that are nearly impossible to get near. He recently found a serious issue with me, and instantly hit me with a flurry of referrals that include the best of the best. He has an uncanny ability to "anticipate" your needs and does what he can before I even ask. As a NASA-trained researcher and expert in an area of medicine, I can say with extreme confidence that Dr. David Rosenstein is in a league of his own. What separates him from the average doc?

SEEKS MOST EFFECTIVE TREATMENT: The current status quo in “insurance-driven” medicine is a Pavlovian response: The doctor has memorized the menu of a, b or c treatments approved by insurers. He sees each as unique, and starts by trying to understand the problem first, and offering all options. His approach leads to the most effective treatment as he is free from following a bunch of rules in a robotic manner.

MORAL COMPASS - He has an insanely strong moral compass and has no issue protecting his patients by fighting for justice. Ninety nine percent of the docs out there are tired of arguing with insurance company recommendations. He is truly patient-centered, and will do everything he can to make sure you get the proper treatment.

CARRIES LAPTOP-EXTREME INTELLECTUAL CURIOSITY: How often do you see an MD carrying a laptop from treatment room to treatment room? This is proof that he is not dogmatic in his approach to medicine, but collaborates with the patient. With me, I suggest a possible diagnosis, and instead of telling me to take this drug and call him in the morning, he looks up my theory and actually alters his treatment based upon MY needs, not his.

SENSE OF HUMOR: He puts patients at ease by communicating with them at their level, and truly bonding with them. This is so unique, and an innate skill of his. The fact that he shares some of his personal experiences with the same issues I am having gives me more confidence in his diagnosis and treatment.

TAKES HIS TIME: In the old days, we would wait for MDs in their waiting rooms. This was secretly a good thing, as the doctor had to take whatever time was necessary to solve the patient’s problem. This was changed by insurers giving doctors 15 minutes with each patient. His strong moral compass drives his evaluation. He is not looking at the clock but looking at you to make sure all issues are addressed. It could take 10 minutes or an hour. He doesn’t ever seem rushed. I feel honored that my appointments can require me to wait, as I know he is doing what is best for another patient.

KNOWLEDGE: He keeps up on the latest literature and is always adapting and growing as a doctor. This intellectual curiosity is what makes him the best of the best. If he ever moves to a new practice, I will follow him. I'm so glad he is young enough to know he will be my doctor for life!

Took me several years of cycling through mediocre doctors in Las Vegas to find Dr. Rosenstein, who not only works at a reputable and well-reviewed practice office, but also is himself very highly regarded in reviews and by several people I know.

From the first visit Dr. Rosenstein was personable and open to whatever issue I wanted addressed. His solutions are what I'd call conservative and prescriptive at the same time. Address immediate needs, usually through tests or prescriptions. Work on some preventative issues through other tests or ideas.

The office is very responsive (moderately busy), and helps you get simpler things like tests or RXs quite easily. At times I have the option to see an NP if the doctor is busy, for simpler issues.

One piece of advice, ask questions. Don't always expect your doctor to suggest things for you. Yes he does suggest tests and medicines from what he sees, but in my case I had to ask about weight loss, leading to a personalized solution for me.

Dr. Rosenstein is the best doctor I've ever had. My first visit, I brought a printed list of discussion topics/questions. I was conscious of his time and that of all the patients behind me, so I suggested that we cover just a few items on that day then a few more each subsequent visit. He had none of it. Instead, we went through the entire list of concerns and (together) we agreed on a course of action. With my last provider, doctors would rush out in only a handful of minutes. Also, every time we talk I really feel that he has my best interest at heart. And I'm seeing improvements: with his help I've lost 65 lbs. and I'm still going. Lastly, I find all his staff to be courteous, kind and dependable. Nurses are knowledgeable and efficient and the admin staff knows their stuff too. When they say I'll get a call back...I do and, when I leave a message I get a timely response. That kind of customer service is so rare these days. I'm very grateful to have found such a great doctor here in Vegas.

My husband and I switched doctors last summer through a client referral and we couldn’t happier.

He’s a truly caring doctor, listens, takes his time with each patient and is non - judgmental.

He’s helped me with my weight and is guiding me through some other things which no other doctor ever noticed or even mentioned.

My husband had some cholesterol issues that are solved.

Another thing I like about Dr. Rosenstein is he’s always open to hear your ideas or thoughts about health, medications and alternatives- if there are any.

Staff is helpful and nice but it can be hard to get through the phone system, but you can send them an email as well.

Doctor Rosenstein went over my blood work as I was not feeling well at all. The VA hospital was trying to put me in a wheelchair for the rest of my life and had given me drugs when used together could have caused a stroke. I was using a walker and was 80lbs heavier than I am now. Doctor Rosenstein corrected my drugs and put me on testosterone which improved my attitude and enabled me to workout again. I still have back pain from combat injuries but we’re working on it.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. ROSENSTEIN and Internal Medical Specialists from check in to check out. Check in was efficient and helpful. In a few minutes in the waiting room I was called back by the medical assistant. She didn’t just put me in a room. She asked questions to inform the doctor the reason for my visit and took my vital signs. Within a few minutes the doctor came in the room. He was just the right combination of professional and friendly to put me at ease and make me feel like I was being well taken care of. His questions and exam were very thorough. I was able to get my X-ray in the office, no waiting. I was able to get the my blood drawn in the office, no waiting. He sent my prescriptions to the pharmacy while in the room with me. Save yourself the time and the stress!
Very first visit I booked with this doctor gets canceled one hour before the appointment (after waiting for 2 weeks for the appointment). They got me in to see another doctor a week later who didn't give me all the tests I asked for, instead gave me some anxiety test. Went back in again to see the actual Dr. Rosenstein another week later. It seemed fine at first, he gave me the rest of the tests. However he calls me in for a follow up another week later, I wait 2 weeks for the appointment. The day I walked in after sitting in the waiting room for 30-40 minutes just to be told that it'll be another 1.5 - 2 hours wait, and if Id like to reschedule, another 2 weeks from now. I already decided at that point I am not coming back here, but I wasnt going to leave this review until my insurance called me because apparently the first doctor diagnosed me with "anxiety", and the second diagnosed me with "tiredness". Mind you, I simply went it for an annual checkup. Now my insurance is investigating it and stresses me out with phone calls. Thanks doc... Would never recommend to anyone.

I’ve been continuing my care with Dr. R and there has been no change in the quality or time I receive. He is very consistent and ensures, like clockwork, every visit ends with one final question: “Have I addressed all your questions, concerns or needs? Sadly, this day and age, healthcare has shifted to sick-care. Gone are the days of “preventive medicine,” where doctors actually can identify, test and treat before incidents may arise. This is often because of insurance, federal and bureaucratic regulations. Providers are no longer free to “provide” exceptional care because of the handcuffs placed upon them.

Dr. Rosenstein is one of the exceptions to this rule. Not only is he an exceptional doctor, he is a doctor who gets to the root of what’s going on. He doesn't stop at the surface level - he places extreme value on the underlying triggers. He is a whole body health doctor. From the head to the toes!

As a dental provider, one of the very first questions he asked me was about my oral health! In my 40 years I have never had a medical doctor inquire about my oral conditions. This is because he knows the mouth is connected to the body and is a primary source of inflammation and disease if not well cared for and/or treated.

Under his care, I was able to achieve amazing PREVENTIVE results resulting in a 50 lb weight-loss as well as receive care for other conditions other providers swept under the rug. This has resulted in controlled glucose, weight loss, lower inflammatory levels, and my udder happiness.

To finally have a doctor listen to me, my symptoms, and diagnose me with a condition that has been festering for 20+ years was joy to my heart. Someone finally listened, cared, and treated me for me.

Best Doctor Worst Staff! It's a shame that such an excellent doctor can't have a good staff. I have had nothing but problems with my paperwork. I have to call over and over and over. On hold for 45-plus minutes and then got transferred to a voicemail. His staff never follows up on referrals and paperwork until you call 3 to 4 times and beg for them to do their job. I was new to the area and had to find a new internist (PCP). I did do my research and Dr. Rosenstein was my first choice for my husband and I. Then, when we had our first appointments I knew I had made the right choice. He is intelligent, up to date on current studies and practices for medical and pharmacological treatments, personable, and caring. He looks at the whole picture . Labs can be drawn right at the office and it fairly easy to get prescription refills when necessary.
And finally, with his help, I have lost 24 lbs in a little over 5 months. I cannot recommend Dr. Rosenstein enough. (Oh, and I’m a nurse, so I have fairly high standards. )

Called for over a week to get a prescription filled and STILL to no avail.

Rosenstein has prescribed a medication that I’m instructed to take DAILY yet when I’ve come in multiple times, called for over a week- the response is “the dr still has not approved it.” Despite having an appointment where he himself said “as soon as I close out this appointment the prescription will be filled immediately “.

I couldn't speak more highly of Dr. Rosenstein and his staff. I've never had any issues scheduling as the receptionists are exceptional. Anytime I've called, I've either reached someone who provided assistance, or left a message. They've always called me back the same day. This is just one example of the professionalism demonstrated throughout his office. Additionally, Dr. Rosenstein has provided the best care I've ever received. I've always been apprehensive to take medication as I've been worried about the side effects. The doctor actually listened to my concerns. Then he took about a half hour of his time to show me peer-reviewed articles relating to my condition and how it should be treated. Dr. Rosenstein is fantastic! I transferred my care to him when I moved to Las Vegas in April 2020 and he provided an easy transition from my former doc (in spite of COVID). He helped me get my diabetes under control and best of all, by working with him I've gone down from a 42 waist to a 36 waist (over 55 pounds). What I like is that he listens to me and is open to supplements and accepted the scans done by my former doc. I read reviews before selecting Dr. Rosenstein as my new PCP back in September 2021, so I only feel I should leave my own review based on my experience.
Dr. Rosenstein has worked hard on helping me through my medical issues and conducting tests to find out what is going on.
Most recently I experienced an issue which required immediate attention and I was able to reach Dr. Rosenstein on a Saturday to help me get an emergency prescription filled.
The extra effort and knowing that he is concerned about his patients' well being is greatly appreciated.

I have been a patient for Dr. David H. Rosenstein since October 2015. He has been a true blessing to me. He takes his time with you and if he cannot help you he willing refers you to someone who can. My last visit I was complaining about the cost of Eliquis and he gave me 2 1/2 months supply of samples. That is a cost saving to me of $394.00. Now who does that? He is just the best and I highly recommend him!

Dr Rosenstein is what a doctor is supposed to be. As a registered nurse I've become very disenchanted with doctors who do not listen to their patients. It takes courage in the days we are living in for doctors to do the right thing(s) for their patients. If you want to have a doctor who will listen to your concerns and treat you like YOU are part of the equation in YOUR care, I highly recommend him.

BEST DOCTOR EVER!!!! 5 STARS AND MORE!!!! Over the past 8 years, I've had major health issues due to unfortunate circumstances, which crippled me and put me in bed for 3 years. After seeing numerous doctors, I finally came across Dr. David H. Rosenstein, MD. After only 2 visits over a 4-week period, Dr. Rosenstein got my blood pressure and heart rate exactly where it needs to be. I have never seen an office run smoother in my life (and I'm in my 60s!). Each room has a mini fridge with multiple sports drinks, waters, and Starbucks bottled coffees at no charge to patient. Really makes you feel at home. Class act sums up his staff and himself. I honestly believe Dr. Rosenstein saved my life! He is a heck of a nice guy and will give you his full attention.

If you don't mind sitting in the waiting rm a long time this is the place to be. I had to wait 45 minutes never got my ultrasound test i walked out. I had to fast that's a long time to wait plus driving time. Hungry and mad. thanks for the lose of my time. If you don't show up for your appointment they charge you $ 25. Is that fair.

Dr. Rosenstein is a tell it like it is, intelligent, caring and well educated physician. He spends time with you and really works to get to the heart of any issue. He is thorough and always makes sure you get the time needed for your appointment. The whole staff is amazing and they have all the equipment on site needed for testing. Dr. Rosenstein doesn’t try to rush you through. He listens and recaps everything before you leave the office. Coming from California; I’m so glad to have found him and the practice. SUPER HAPPY from start to finish. I went in with my special needs son and they were so nice from the front desk, nurse, X-ray tech (Carl), doctor himself, and the lab lady (Carla). A very well oiled machine even with being a 1st time patient. In and out in no time and covered all the bases. (Check in, paperwork, vitals, xray, referrals, medications, and lab work) Super impressed!!

Waiting room could definitely use a refresh, looked dingy and dated. Was surprised that for a rather large waiting room they only had one hand sanitizing dispenser. They also only had one pen and sign in sheet for everyone to sign. The staff seemed friendly but Dr. Rosenstein came across condescending and unprofessional. He also made me wait in the exam room for almost 30min while he finished a personal conversation with one of his nurses (walls are thin I could hear everything). When he came in every other word out of his mouth was an F-bomb, F..this F..that. Like I said, very unprofessional. Maybe a good doc, but not for me.

I have been a patient of Dr. David Rosenstein for 9 years. Dr. Rosenstein is the only expert Dr. I have found in all of Nevada. His waiting time is exceptional (5-10min) comparatively to most Dr. offices; and yet somehow, he pays as much time with you as you need during your visit.

I have visited Dr.’s worldwide, and after being a patient of Dr. David Rosenstein’s for 9 years; he is the Only Dr. I have ever in my life, actually have save my life, giving me only, exceptional, top cutting edge care. I have never felt rushed, not any rudeness, throughout his entire office; only genuine concern and empathy about my health, and my quality of life.

I have never trusted a Dr. enough to say, “Dr. Rosenstein, you know me, you keep exceptionally up to date medical wise, you know my medical history, my immune system, my reactions to medications, due to all of that, and more; whatever you recommend, I’m up for trying it out.”

I cannot express my appreciation of this gem of a Dr. where they are extremely rare and difficult to find.

I Must give a shout out to his Entire office. He only hires the best employees, front, back, accounts receivable, nurses; plus, he has his own comforting, knowledgeable blood drawing exceptional expert; all in house.
