The doctor himself is absolutely AMAZING. I wish I can give more then 5 stars . The front staff especially the one with the glasses who intentionally has you sit up there for 3 hours when you had a 9:15 am appointment you didn't leave until 12:45. People at 10 appointment went before me 11 am all went before me I dont understand. Help me explain why.. but the doctor is absolutely recommend.

I've been a patient of Dr. Eklanich for over a year and would like express total and complete satisfaction with the treament from he and his staff.

Suffering from a severe neck injury and back injury, a direct result from getting hit by a drunk driver, the treatment he has provided has been extraordinary. The diagnoisis, recommendations and care were 100% accurate in regards to the treatment needed.

Once I underwent neck fusion surgery, the pain I had been enduring was completely gone. After over a year of agonizing continuous pain....it was all gone. Words cannot express the gratitude to Dr Eklanich and his staff for returning normalcy back to my life. If I were to give he and his staff a rating...it would be a perfect 10! I highly recommend him.

6 years ago I had several failed surgeries that Elkanich performed and because he was so convincing that he was a good doctor I kept letting him do the revision. In hindsight I should have gotten a second opinion but he was perfecting his technique and he kept doing the same technique which kept failing. Then decided to take a different approach and take the hardware out before it could fail but left bones bumping that punctured my dura mater so severely that all of my spinal fluid drained out. Like a fool I allowed him to try and fix that mistake again with multiple surgeries that failed and him severing my nerve root and me waking up with the loss and function of my right leg that I never regained. A neurosurgeon stepped in to do the repair of my Dura mater to where I could finally be discharged with years of healing ahead of me and multiple surgeries. I ended up having multiple surgeries with a massive reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic. Every single doctor I came in contact with at the Mayo looked him up because they could not believe the extent of damage that was done to me. After all of this and him making quite a bit of profit on my multiple surgeries he has the audacity to come after me for a $2,000 bill that is now up to 3,000 ruining my credit. Well guess what thanks to him I have never been able to return to work and have been in constant pain ever since. I should have sued him but because I didn't my reward is him destroying not just my health but my credit.

Dr Elconich is the most thorough Dr I’ve ever had. He’s trying so hard to not have to operate by trying many different methods to help the serious conditions of my spine. He so easy to talk to. His help is just as efficient. There so polite. Your wait time is minimal which mean his staff does not over schedule patients. If you have any type of spinal condition I would recommend DrMichael Elconich.He really is concerned for his patients. He’s really easy to talk to about anything. Dr Elkanich showed up 3.5 hours late for my appointment. Never apologized and was in a very large hurry. He is booked up for 1-2 months at a time making it very difficult to get in quickly.

I had imaging performed which took me several of times to try to complete due to claustrophobia and ultimately needed to be sedated.. only to return to the office stating that they forget to place all orders for imaging and I need to return to get it done.

Sadly I’ve heard great things about this surgeon but ultimately was disappointed with my care.

I was in a work place accident. I saw Dr. Elkanich through workman's comp (Sedgwick). Due to workman's comp being 💩. I saw all the wonderful treatments and I saw others get better. Workman's comp would constantly deny my requests for the actual treatment for injuries. They never even accidentally approved something Dr. Elkanich offered to me. He is a good doctor. Unfortunately Sedgwick tied his hands. I do recommend him. I found Dr Elkanich to be very informative (he would tell me the results of tests that sedgwick loves to hide even though I'm the patient). He tried to help me get better. Sedgwick wouldn't allow it. Thank you to everyone I saw while going to my appointments. I apologize for the few times I lost my 💩 and took it out on the staff. In my defense your chairs really are that uncomfortable. Again thank you for trying to help.

If there was a negative star I would give that!

Reason: I had an Anterior/Posterior Lower Lumbar Fusion with Decompression to give me a better quality of life. The day I started not being happy with Dr. Elkanich was when I woke up from said surgery with Total Hearing Loss in post op. His only explanation to myself and my RN wife was that “I have no idea how this happened” “I have never heard of this” after he asked if we had a lawyer. This was troubling because he then Did Not see me bedside for the next 5 days in ICU while still leaking Cerebral Spinal Fluid. On the 5th day after lying at 0 degrees and now deaf, he went back into my Lumbar fusion and patched up the two leaks.
Ignoring us for 5 days speaks volumes in my opinion. Explaining things to us bedside as to why my life was now changed, would have made everything as far as opinions, feelings towards the doctor, and understanding the gravity of our situation much better. Who abandons there patient like that? Dr. Elkanich does. He wanted no contact with myself or my wife as a result of his ill attempt to “create a better quality of life” for me. I lost my career as a fire fighter as a result of this, and had to get bilateral cochlear implants so that I could hear any new version of sound. My family will never sound the same for me.

I had spine surgery on Nov 4th on my neck 4,5,6,7. in less than 30 days I have returned to work my normal 9 to 10 hour shifts. I am eating normal and light pain that can be controlled with only Tylenol. I would recommend my surgeon to anyone considering this type of surgery. Even my kids that are ER MD's have told me my recovery is amazing. Thank you Dr Elkanich.

I had surgery reconstruction in 2006-2007. It was a 2 day. 18hr anesthesia and 4 1/2 month in bed recovery process.
I could not have made a better choice in surgeons. Its 13yrs later and not a day goes by that i do not think how lucky i am to be able to walk.
100% recomendation any time!!
I wish i could get a copy of my file and xrays. I need them now for state proof but as far as the doctor and his results. No one better.....
