(My first visit here 8/6/2026]
I’ve been getting chiropractic care since fall of 1997, and due to moving quite a bit I’ve seen many chiropractors. Dr. Akers is Attentive, very competent and desires the best results for the patient. I am Certified in Natural Health myself since 1999, so I really appreciate his listening skills and desire to solve the issues I presented. He recommended a 15 minute therapy bed with a tens, unit in the neck, shoulder area and an Automated roller that rolled the length of my spine from cervical to lumbar. I found that machine to be very helpful as a prep to the adjustment. Invigorating, to say the least.
I found the young women staff members to be pleasant, kind and competent in their duties. Regarding this first visit to Dr. Akers, I have zero complaints about anything I experienced.
As a health professional, I can highly recommend Dr. Akers and his office staff without reservation.

Today was my husband’s initial visit, and he walked into the office in a lot of pain but left feeling noticeably better. He was treated with care, patience, and professionalism. During the visit, they took time to explain his condition and even walked him through exercises that made a difference right away. He left not only feeling some relief but also more informed and hopeful about his recovery. We’re both very pleased with the experience!

tldr; SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE.They didn't mention that Dr Akers is gone from back surgery. My 2pm appointment took until 4:30 pm to see Dr. Cook, for literally 2 minutes, just to be told that she can't adjust my neck or any other part of my body. I told the front desk what happened and they just shrugged and still charged me $95. This was my worst chiropractic experience i have had in over 20 years of getting adjustments from different doctors at different offices.

I decided to try this place because Dr. Akers has mostly good reviews. It was not until I was there for my appointment with him that I heard them tell another patient he was gone for the foreseeable future from back surgery.

So I almost left after hearing that but they assured me that Dr. Cook was a good chiropractor and I was in good hands.

There are so many annoying things about this place but here are a few. After waiting in the waiting room for almost an hour then they literally made me watch a video about "what chiropractic work is." I had to sit there and wait then they eventually came back in and asked me all the questions I had already answered on the forms.

Dr. Cook is nice but she is very small and timid with her adjusting style. She barley moved my neck and said she couldn't adjust it. Then she used an electric activator on my back for less than two mins, which not only didn't feel good but it was actually painful with how hard it was on and how she was using it on my spine and then she was DONE.

I got into a car accident in November and I had lumbar and cervical pain. Dr. Akers has definitely made improvements with my mobility and my pain levels. I have worked for a chiropractor and have been to many as i am a firm believer in Chiropractic but this Dr. Akers was a horrible experience. I felt unimportant as I couldn't get two words into the conversation. I felt rushed and the treatment made no sense. I am a fair critic and I can tell you that I would never go back to this individual.

Dr Akers was recommended to me by my boyfriend so I made an appointment & was able to be seen within a few day. The staff is super friendly & the patient areas are always clean. Dr. Akers is super knowledgable and takes the time to explain your X-rays and what is going on with your body physically. He gives you examples and videos so that you fully understand what your adjustments are for. Dr. Akers is very friendly & always a pleasure to see. I've been seeing him for 8weeks for my neck & back not only am I having less pain by half, the duration of the pain when the pain spikes is less also. He & his staff are so good I even have my mom seeing Dr Akers. I would & do recommend Dr. Akers for anyone needing a chiropractor.

I was in Vegas in business and laid up in my hotel with the worst back pain I had ever experienced. I got a next day appointment with Dr. Akers. He knew I was in a hurry, so did a quick, yet thorough review of prior medical condition. Within an hour, he removed the pain, got me standing up straight(after walking hunched over for the past three days) and made sure I was able to fly home. Dr. Akers is very good and I wish he was in my city.

Very sketchy care. Dr Akers does not possess the ability to listen to patients, he will just talk over whatever you have to say. Furthermore, his back office bills in a less than ethical manner. After paying the co-pay that they require faithfully, I then received a bill 7 months later for an amount that they could not explain. I am receiving superior care elsewhere now without the mystery billing issues and a Dr that actually listens and treats his patients with respect. Buyer be aware of this business, and I would also suggest checking with the chiropractors medical board regarding past complaints, I wish I would have done that. Lesson learned.

My back went out a couple years ago and I was in such severe pain that I could not walk more than a couple feet & had to hold on to things just to make it that far. I went to see Terry Akers & I could barely make it out of the car to the door. Terry took me in & put me on the ice therapy machines, then adjusted my back. He gave me special instructions of how to sit up without causing pain & more problems. After he cracked my back, I felt immediately a little bit better. I wanted to hug that guy (Terry Akers) right then & there. I was back to normal within 2 days. I thought a miracle had occurred but it was mostly thanks to Terry's advice & his adjustment.
He is very dedicated to his job. The price is extremely reasonable & he gets my husband & myself in quickly - usually within a couple hours of the call despite their office always seems busy. Terry is off on Sat & Sun. If you need to get in, try & go during the week if possible. Hope this helps. :)
