I needed a crown replacement and root canal. Gentle Dental offers these procedures in the same office at the same time which saved me time and inconvenience. Dr. Connolly removed the old crown, followed by the root canal performed by Dr. Johl. Both dentists are very skilled and worked quickly. This place is great and honest. The integrity, the quality, the staff, the receptionist, the exams; all of these qualities have earned a five star. One thing I want to bring out is the financial aspect. My wife was quoted $1k + for 9 cavities last year at another place; this dentistry quoted us HALF of that for 12 cavities. I normally like going to Gentle Dental—most of the time the front desk gets me checked in and taken to the back right away. I understand that sometimes they may get busy or be short-staffed, but my appointment was at 2:30 PM and I waited in the lobby for almost an hour. Two people who arrived after me were seen and left before I was even called. I eventually got anxious and asked what was going on, only to find out that my chart had never been brought to the back, so they didn’t even know I was there.

The front office needs to be more organized. It’s unfair for patients who make appointments, take time off work, and still end up waiting an hour or more due to an oversight.

The back office, however, was friendly and very understanding. They apologized and explained that they were short-staffed, which I do understand—but it still isn’t the patient’s fault. Despite the delay, the doctor was extremely kind, patient, and thorough. He explained everything clearly and made sure the work that needed to get done was completed, even though it was past closing time.

Tooth extraction I was in pain for 2 weeks . I had wait one hour to call my name after taking full X-ray of my teeth the doctor he explained to me what need to be done. I was very confused. The only reason I’m here to pull one tooth. I found out from front desk that they don’t do tooth extraction they gave me a referral OMG I was very disappointed wasted my time. We originally came to Gentle Dental after a really rough year of feeling scammed and let down by the whole healthcare system . My husband and I walked in pretty wounded, honestly. I’ve had so much dental work done in the past, and I really thought I was done with cavities. So when Dr. Connolly told me I had a few more, it was a hard pill for my husband to swallow. Because of our past experience. My husband wanted to pay out of pocket for a second opinion… and yep, the second dentist confirmed it: the cavities were real .Some lessons are expensive, but at least you never forget them.

So we came back, tails between our legs, and I opened up about why I got the second opinion. It wasn’t because I didn’t trust doctor Connolly and his team,but because I was genuinely traumatized from previous care. And instead of judging me, they listened. They were kind. They understood.

Dr. Connolly sat with me for over 35 minutes and walked me through every single x-ray, tooth by tooth, explaining what was going on. Rebecca was just as wonderful ,warm, patient, and reassuring through the whole process.

I’m so grateful for the compassion, the patience, and the absolute lack of judgment. After years of fearing dentists, I finally feel like I’ve found a team I can trust with my care.

And the truth is, once a tooth is rotten it will never come back but trust can be rebuilt. Dr. Connolly and Rebecca helped rebuild mine. Maybe not for the entire healthcare system, but at least for dentistry… and that means a lot.

New to town and brought my mom here for her 6 month cleaning. Wouldn’t do a cleaning on the first visit. Gave us a long list of what they claim is wrong with her teeth, $28,000. We just wanted a cleaning. Went back for a deep cleaning. Couldn’t do it in one visit. Had to have 2 visits both with large copays. Made another appointment for fillings. At appointment they sent in 2 ppl to clean her teeth which was already done last 2 visits. They didn’t seem to know why we were there. When the receptionist told me what the cost will be for my temporary caps, I ask her will my insurance take care of my bill, she said yes, I asked her twice and she said yes. I was told that my insurance will take care of my bill. All the staff is helpful and thorough. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Thank you Gentle Dental...***EDIT after getting several old fillings removed and refilled it choose to do it in 3 appointments. I paid my portion at each visit. Fast forward a couple of months I now get a bill saying I owe Gentle Dental money. I asked why?? They explained because of the insurance I still owed more money basically double of what I already paid!! I asked isn't that YOUR responsibility to make sure that I am aware of my portion when I originally paid?? I am very angry I feel cheated and that its ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!

Can’t ask for a better Dentist, I remember that in the past I hated dentist visits due to that I don’t like pain but this Dentist is cares for your well being he numbs the area first with orajel and then puts the anesthesia injection a little bit at a time. Yes, I’m a big baby 😊

Office was running extremely late at only 9am. While I was waiting for over 30 min, I asked front desk if this was typical, and she said yes it is typical that they run over 30 min late. To me, this was unacceptable so I cancelled my appointment and chose to take my business elsewhere. On top of this, the dental assistants Vans were disgustingly dirty, didn’t seem very professional or sanitary for a dental office. 1/5 at best.
