My mother has been a patient of Dr. Sanatinia's for over 10 years. Earlier this year, he reviewed her imaging and referred her to a surgeon but did not convey any urgency about her condition. One week later she was hospitalized and found to be hemorrhaging due to her condition, which should have been treated as an emergency when her imaging was initially reviewed.

When her biopsy results were available, I submitted them to his office in advance and asked his medical assistant to ensure he reviewed them before entering the room. He came in completely unprepared, learning of her terminal diagnosis for the first time in front of her. On a separate hospital visit he admitted he had not read her chart and had no idea what was happening with her, which is unacceptable and careless for a physician managing a terminal cancer patient.

He continued recommending treatment even as my mother became progressively disabled and too weak. He never had an honest conversation about her prognosis or what to realistically expect, even with treatment. He created a sense of false hope, so she spent her final months in and out of hospitals and facilities, believing she was going to beat cancer, when she could have focused on the quality of her life instead. This has robbed us of precious time we could have spent with her in her last moments.

What makes this especially painful is that my mother had been experiencing cancer symptoms for years, while attending her annual follow up appointments with Dr. Sanatinia, prior to her cancer diagnosis this year. Given her cancer history, one has to wonder whether earlier suspicion, investigation, and intervention could have changed her outcome entirely.

It's clear that this provider is only interested in billing the insurance or the patient, rather than helping his patients. She was a loyal patient for over a decade and deserved far better than what she received.

I have been Doctor Sanatinia's patient for almost 3 years now. He's very professional, caring, and knowledgeable. 🏅🎖️🥇💊💉🩺👨🏻‍⚕️👨🏻‍🔬One of the best qualities that I like about him is that he is very honest and real about your condition. He always gives you written instructions to read about your medication and persuade you to follow the scientific routines to stay healthier and in my case to lose the extra weight caused by medicine that I'm taking.

I really appreciate his practice and his staff who work hard dealing with all kinds of patients and in one of the toughest professions in the world.

Needed to establish myself with an oncologist as mine of 10 years moved out of state. Dr. Sanatinia was very professional, and was very nice. The office staff were great. My only issue is the parking was very difficult. Since I only have to go once a year, I can deal with the parking. I will schedule early in the morning or afternoon.

Trying to find another doctor for my father. He doesn't seem like he truly cares about his patients. My father had a follow up for a PET scan and he didnt even look at it or read it. His response was well what did the radiologist say. So very disappointed in him and all of the office staff at the southern hills location. They are all very rude and unprofessional.

Sounds like a great doctor, if I could get a call back. My PA here in Vegas referred me over to the office to try to get a appointment. Been on hold numerous times for 45 mins+, filled out the contact form on the site about ten business days ago, and even faxed over the referral form asking to be called. Still no response.

Update, I was finally able to get in and saw an NP instead. My care has been great sheet finally getting in.

I am hopeful that once I finally get in to see him I will have a pleasant experience. An EMERGENCY referral was sent in to their office almost a month ago and I have been waiting for an iron infusion. I haven’t even been called back to schedule the appointment. I’m extremely frustrated as I have called and asked for a call back probably 5 times and I still haven’t heard a word from the appointment scheduler. At this point I may call my doctors office for a referral somewhere else. If the situation is resolved I will fix my review but this is honestly ridiculous customer care by his clinic.
