I want to acknowledge and thank Dr. Kashef and his team, Lexie and Kay. They are the best! I was being treated by another oncologist for four years and the last year was a nightmare. The medicine I was on was failing, as was I, and there was no attempt to rectify this frightening scenario.
The first day I saw Dr. Kashef he changed my medicine and my life! His knowledge and professionalism completely altered the course of my disease and allowed me to be hopeful again. It has been a year since I started with Dr. Kashef and I am still on a positive road. Lexie and Kay are always there if you need them, with a smile on their face. The cancer journey is a scary one and I will be eternally grateful to Dr. Kashef for helping me navigate this disease and go forward with hope.
Thank you Dr. Kashef.

My husband has been diagnosed with cancer and we were referred to Comprehensive Cancer Center. We seen Dr. Kashef who looked at my husbands blood work and wanted to do some more testing which confirmed my husband has Multiple Myeloma. I am extremely glad that he did the extra steps to confirm his diagnoses . He started treatment the very next week which to me showed his concern and compassions for his patients. Lexi and Kay have been extremely helpful as well taking all my calls and answering any additional questions I have. Thank you Dr. Kashef and your amazing staff helping us to navigate these trying times.

I had cancer in my throat 7 months ago, stage 4, now Iβm cancer free, so grateful for him and his team, his diagnosis and treatments worked, I did 7 weeks of chemo and 8 weeks of Radiation with Dr Kachef and Dr Schwartz, my ENT is Dr Weingarten. What a team ! They knocked it out ! Yes the treatments are very difficult to get through but Iβm here to tell about it.
Reading some of the comments here, if you want someone to cottle you and give you a hug, go see a therapist or your spouse or a family member, because you wonβt get that from these guys, but if you want your best chance at survival and beating it, then go see Kachef ! His assistants Lexy and Kay will go out of their way to help you also!.
Yes sometimes scheduling and working through the systems can be challenging especially when dealing with whatever cancer you have but you have to push through and be your own advocate. Nothing about this is fun or easy, but think of the alternative, these guys will take care of you if you give them a chance!

Dr Kashef treated my husband for eight years for multiple myeloma. My husband took meticulous notes when meeting with Dr Kashef and followed his recommendations explicitly. I believe that helped in prolonging his life. His team of nurses were efficient and kind and we both felt the trust in Dr Kashefβs protocol and line of treatment.

I cannot talk more highly or give enough praise to Dr.Kashef. If you find yourself in the awful position of needing an Oncologist, please consider Ghulam Kashef, MD, as THE doctor and oncology expert for you. It is no exaggeration when I say Dr.Kashef and the treatment plan he has put me on, have truly saved my life. Both he and his exceptional team, Lexie and Kay, work tirelessly on your behalf to provide the very best care possible. I am forever grateful, thank you can never be enough.

Dr. Kershaw is the most caring physician I have ever met. He genuinely cares about people and is one of the most intelligent doctors I have ever had the privilege of working with. He is exceptionally knowledgeable across all areas of medicine.

The worst experience with a dr in my 25 years here. Walked in, immediately took a personal phone call that lasted longer than the amount of time he spent with me. I didn't even get a chance to discuss my symptoms. Then they just took me off to do blood and said they would call about a transfusion but no one ever called. When I called back they said oh if we don't call its fine. What?? I had to ask them to get a copy of my labs which were not fine.

We were referred by our primary care doc. We were taken to a room an in walk Dr. Kashef. Screaming at us. We were so taken aback we were speechless. When we tried to speak he cut us off and yelled some more. He is unprofessional and should seek immediate help.

The reviews are true! Dr. Kashef has amazingly poor bedside manner. It took me 3 months to finally get an appointment, and we covered nothing new in the appointment. Just, "hello, so are all the things in your file true? OK, see you in 3 months, we'll order as many tests as your insurance covers." I'm strongly considering not going back.
Getting the appointment was so hard though! I'd spend 30m on the phone just trying to get an appointment, and it always felt like the next step in the conversation, after giving them my insurance, details, etc, was to GET an appointment. But it would end with, "OK, we'll have someone call you in a couple days." And she would, and leave a message for me to call back the same number that takes half an hour to NOT talk to the appointment lady.
I feel really bad for people that have to use their services.

Zero stars was not a choice: I advise you to be very careful if you are seeing Dr Kashef. I came in with a lung nodule and was dismissed numerous times. In fact, he asked why I was even there? He had me do several CT scans and upon the last scan where he was watching a 7 mm nodule, did not even know I had a 10 mm nodule and other scattered lung tissue scarring. Instead of referring me to a pulmonologist he instead told me not to bother coming back. I am now seeing a pulmonologist who is very concerned about the 10 mm and other scattered nodules. He is having me do another PET scan, further blood tests and fungal tests to see if I have an invasive fungus or cancer in my lungs.
Also, while I was in the room with Dr Kashef waiting to go over my results he took another phone call from a doctor and talked about the other patient instead of giving me full attention and focus on the results that had popped up on his computer for me. That is very unprofessional and sadly could be a very big mistake for me and my future health. I want to admire him, but I find him dangerous!
Please be aware of his dismissiveness, lack of professionalism and uncaring ethics.
If he missed this...what else has he missed with other patients?

I was transferred over from being a long time patient of Dr. Samlowski. Unfortunately bedside manner was nonexistent I did not feel comfortable opening up to speak up on my recent medical issues as I have in the past with Dr. Sam. Wait time was long and no parking. My prescription did not get filled. Positive: The nurse was exceptionally attentive and friendly, blood work was fast and painless. Front desk staff friendly and helpful.

It was my husbands first visit. We both felt
very comfortable. Dr. Kashef explained things in a way we could understand. We were encouraged to ask questions and didn't feel like we were being rushed. The young lady taking the blood draw was amazing. The young lady going over my husbands records, meds etc was Incredible. Very respectful and very engaging. Everyone from checking in to making his next appointment at the end were wonderful. Sorry I don't remember the names.
Highly recommend.

I had been seeing Dr.Kashef for over 2 years due to a platelet disorder and I have had nothing but negative experiences the entire time. One of my first appointments with him I overheard him making fun of me/my name right outside of my room. He is incredibly disrespectful and showed no interest in providing me actual care for my condition. I would ask questions to try and better understand my condition, and he would brush them off and tell me βitβs not a big deal I have patients that are much worse.β Every appointment it seemed like I was a new patient he knew nothing about although I had been under his care for years. I am a young woman and I do feel he did not take me or my condition seriously because of that. I left every appointment in tears due to the way he treated me. I would not recommend anybody, especially young women to EVER see this Dr. If you are looking for a medical PROFESSIONAL, he is not the right person.

Dr. Kashif does not display compassion. He is not easy to talk to. He frequently reminds me that my cancer is not curable and he is only render palliative care at the most inappropriate and unwarranted times. He is probable a great person but oncology is not the specialty for his personality type. He also becomes defensive. That response is highly unprofessional especially for being a doctor. I've heard from other patients "his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired but he is good with identifying the best chemo medications for the presenting cancer". That has not been my experience. Also with his personality type he should be paired with a compassionate more engaging nurse but she is very similar to him which makes for a terrible team. I have given him many different opportunities to show that he is actually has a human connection and I have been disappointed every time. I usually have something positive to say about everyone....I am still in search of his positive professional qualities. If Dr Pareek was available I would seek to transfer to him. Just a more present doctor that 'shows up" for the patient.

Also, as busy as they are, the nurses and other staff are always efficient, helpful and courteous.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would, Iβm so glad I no longer will be a patient of dr kashef. I never met someone so in uncompassionate and so uninterested in his patients concerns. I never felt comfortable to ask questions or talk about my concerns, I dreaded every time I had to see him my anxiety worsened after every visit.

Saved my husband , you must be proactive and ask questions. Insist on additional information like any medical provider the more your engaged the better off you are . EXCELLENT staff very competent but more important they have a vested interest in you, you feel it and see it with all the staff. they are up beat and positive and compassionate. Great doctor Kashef, listen and was involved.

Do not see this doctor whatever you do!!!
1st. He was late to my fathers appointment i asked a nurse when would the doctor be in to see us? His response "i just called him AGAIN to let him know your here"
2nd. Doc finally comes in and is noticeably irritated. This was my dads 1st visit after being diagnosed with cancer. My family and i arent very knowledgeable of the steps, what to look forward to, or a treatment plan so naturally we are asking questions. This doctor has no bedside manner. He was so rude so short he wanted us to be out of there he was done with the appointment before it even started.
3rd. After finding a new cancer doc for my father we requested medical records and noticed Dr. Kashef NEVER EVEN NOTED HIS FILE OF THIS VISIT OR TREATMENT PLAN WE SPOKE ABOUT. you would never even know this appointment happened unless you were there.
Please take yourself or your loved ones ANYWHERE else.

He wrote my husband off after being diagnosed with cirrhosis. He gave him 6mnths, put him in hospice and told him he was going to die. Just sent him on his way. Three years later my husband is still here. Instead of working to fight with him he let him down.
