For some reason, Dr. Naik recorded a physical exam in my records with a palpation of my abdomen that never occurred. Why would any doctor record inaccurate information like this? I have never experienced that in all of my life. The staff also recorded I had hernia surgery. That I can understand was them going too quickly when entering information, but it still was inaccurate and an error. I was able to correct that in my patient portal, but I am not able to correct the false medical exam with palpitation of my abdomen.
The office staff as soon as they learned I was leaving their care changed their tone. I was even hung up on and then another person, Adrianna/Andrea said they are switching my prior authorization to « completed », after Michelle had told me she was canceling the prior authorization request.
My first impression was that this office and doctor really cared, but I was being scared with cancer statistics and then scheduled about 2.5 months out for a procedure. They told me to call every day to try to get in sooner. I did that and no one ever answered. I did receive one call back to their credit. Why ask me to call an extension no one answers?
I kept getting worse and called the office for advice on what to do. They told me go to the hospital. Then, I received a call saying they would try to push my procedure up and requested a prior authorization (without my knowledge). Why did they waste my time calling every day when I was already very sick with low energy only to call me and say they will now move it up? Ridiculous. Just be honest!
I immediately told them I had already transferred care to another gastroenterologist clinic. Michelle told me she would cancel the prior authorization for EGD but that never happened.
I really cannot comment on the quality of care long term. They may be able to help you, but I do not feel comfortable with a doctor who would fraudulently add physical exam notes to my medical records. I am 40 and have never experienced something like this. The lack of professionalism really put me off. I have not had a doctorβs office upset for seeking care elsewhere. I think I dodged a bullet by needing care sooner. The medical office that is taking care of me got me in right away and their office staff predicted that Gastroenterology Associates may be retaliatory. Thatβs not a good look.

I didn't get screened by a nurse until 15 mins after my appointment time. I waited over 50 minutes in a consultation room with no cell service without seeing the Dr or anybody else. Either they forgot about me or have no respect for their patients time. 1 star because they quickly refunded my Co-pay.

Upon arrival, I was not greeted, and the front desk was unattended. When the receptionist finally arrived, she displayed a very unprofessional attitude and became visibly stressed, taking it out on me and another client while asking for help from coworkers who did not intervene. The front-line service here needs significant improvement, and I will not be returning.

Dr. Vickers takes time to listen to his patients concerns and find a plan that works for them. I had a gastroscope procedure done as well. Everything was explained before, during and after. The nurses were so kind and tentative. Not a single thing was left out of order and the procedure was smooth. I would highly recommend Gastroenterology Associates!

Travis vickers has cancelled my long awaited appointment twice now. Making a patient wait 9 months to see u is a joke. He hasn't returned my midnight emergency call either. I know whatever is wrong with me is his responsibility. He doesnt care to figure it out. By the time I see him, I might have another autoimmune disease. He could prevent this but cant do much if he cancels. The thing I dont understand is they don't call me to cancel. I even called to verify my appointment and it was verified. Driving all the way down there and leaving my newborn several times now for a surprise cancelation. Im just so tired. He hasn't fixed a single issue of mine and it has progressively got worse. Now I dont have intestinal mucusa anymore. I know exactly what he needs to do to prevent it he won't do it. My vitamin d and nutritional deficiencies has been at a 15 for 5 years and hes done nothing to raise it despite it being due to gastric issues. I have gotten 30 iron infusions under his care which cause severe inflammation after and he wont do anything about my vitamin d. Idk if I have sibo or a genetic mutation that wont absorb vitamin d but he hasn't checked anything. Im having memory problems and tell them they need to submit my papers electronically. They never do. I spent over $1000 on vitamins trying to help myself because he wont help me anymore. I think he doesnt want me as a patient anymore. He used to be good but all good things come to an end. Im willing to change this review if they actually reschedule me within a week. I spent my entire December being rescheduled by drs and leaving my baby for no reason. I mostly blame the staff. If someone misses ur call it's still ur responsibility to call again!!! Not that I had a missed call!!!

My first impressions of this office are good ones. The front desk staff, the MA, the doctor and the student doctor were all extremely personable and professional. I arrived early, and they came and got me a few minutes early to take me into the back. Once I was in the back and the MA was done taking vitals, I only had to wait 60 seconds before the student doctor walked in. She was attentive, and easy to talk to. Then I got to meet Dr. Burnette. The nature of my visit meant the meeting was brief--especially since the student doctor took most of the info. But I really liked Dr. Burnette based on our brief, initial meeting. I'm really glad I chose this clinic.

Had a colonoscopy with Dr Vickers who was very nice. We scheduled the follow up for 2 months out. That follow up had to be rescheduled another 2 months out. When I showed up to the appointment, they told me that my appointment wasnβt for another month and was with another doctor, Dr Burnette, whom I hadnβt seen for 10 years. Nobody told me they had rescheduled the appointment. When I told them that this appointment was already rescheduled once before, they told me they could see me later that day. When I asked if it was with the doctor that did my colonoscopy, Dr Vickers, they told me it was with Dr Burnette. I said that Dr Vickers was the doctor that did my colonoscopy and that Iβd prefer to see the doctor that did my colonoscopy and that I was originally scheduled to see. They told me that despite Dr Vickers being the doctor I met with pre appointment and despite Dr Vickers having done my colonoscopy, I had to see Dr Burnette because he we my original doctor (at their old office, across town, 10 years ago). I told them that Dr Vickers is my doctor. Heβs the doctor Iβve been in communication with. Heβs the doctor that did my colonoscopy. Heβs the doctor Iβm going to do my follow up with. I shouldnβt even be having this conversation with them. My appointment was rescheduled without anyone letting me know. Just a very frustrating experience.

Wait time was about the same, as I have been seeing Dr Nemec for 20 years. Front desk requested $30 co-pay however the correct amount is $40. she was reading an internal incorrect note and did read the insurance card. Would have been a 5 if the reception and check out can improve their efficiency.

The nurses and doctors are fabulous. This is the second procedure Iβve had with Gastroenterology Associates. Dr. Burnette is very patient and always explains everything in detail. The nurses are so kind and helpful. Getting a colonoscopy done can be a scary, daunting thing. After the care of Dr. Burnette and his staff I was completely at ease. After I woke up in recovery I was greeted by a smiling nurse. Soon Dr. Burnette was there to share his findings. I felt great and my daughter was very thankful to see her mom receive such great care. I highly recommend Dr. Burnette and staff.

Just another set of Doctors in it for the almighty dollar. The procedure I had in April went fine . Today, September 30th , I had an appointment scheduled to go over the lab results (yes that is right, 5 months later). They had me scheduled his appointment after the initial consultation before the procedure was even performed . I asked if we could just schedule a phone or video appointment but was told itβs their policy to do it in the office, now I know why.
One more opportunity to fleece the patient and their insurance company. They wanted me to pay more just to get the results! When I questioned the young lady behind the counter why should I have to pay for the results, she asked me in a very condescending tone β Have you never seen a doctor before? No body speaks to the doctors without paying!β
Its biopsy results from a procedure they performed. The doctorβs office I had perform The same procedure five years ago would have his assistant or an office staff member call me with the results. If everything was fine, I go on with my day. If there is an issue, then they would schedule an appointment for me to talk to the doctor. So here I am four months later donβt know if I have cancer or not and they wonβt tell me until they get another $300

It took months to get an appointment just to have a staff member call me two days before hand claiming I need prior authorization for an office visit. I explained to him that my insurance plan through Aetna only requires an authorized referral through my primary care physician which they already had. He continued to argue with me that I still needed prior authorization on top of the authorized referral. So I eventually told him to cancel my appointment. I verified with my insurance that nothing had changed and I DID NOT require prior authorization for a simple office visit and that the referral was indeed all that was needed for the Gastroenterology Associates to bill my insurance. The doctor may be great (wouldnβt know) but the staff handing that area is not trained properly. Do your job and verify what is actually required by each insurance company/plan prior to making the customers do unnecessary footwork.

First time patient. Waited 45 minutes for my appointment yet I was early and the first appointment of the day.
The nurse who came and brought me back and did my vitals never introduced herself and had zero personality. She didnβt seem like she wanted to be there.
The doctor (Dr. Donald Kwok) was also not very friendly. He didnβt seem to listen well as I had to repeat myself quite a lot. I didnβt walk out of there feeling like he cared or as if he would help me find a solution.
I am fortunate enough that I do not need to see doctors very often but when I do I appreciate it when doctors and staff act as if they care about me and care enough to help me find a solution.

Doctor, Staff and facilities were friendly and great. The only item to mention is locating the correct front door for the office was a little challenging. However, that same could be said about the other businesses in this building.

Dr. Nemec is fantastic and the entire staff is very well organized! I have never had to wait for my appointment time. In fact, I am always called back to see the doctor before I even get to finish the paperwork. It is obvious that Gastroenterology Associates value my time! I highly recommend!

The atmosphere in the office was inviting, The staff was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable of their positions. My appointment was for 1:20 PM. Due to the lateness of the day I was prepared to be there awhile, always thinking the later in the day it get the further behind the doctor is running. Well what a pleasant surprise it was when I was out of the office before 2 PM. The doctor was very detailed with the information he was giving me, very patient, make sure I had no questions, I have nothing but good thoughts and good words about everyone that I came in contact with doing my visit, I would recommend this doctor and his staff too everybody.

Very clean, well organized, comfortable environment. The staff and the doctor were very pleasant. Then, I had to call back today. I realized no one told me to stop by the desk to make the appointment for my procedure. At first, I thought they would call me for that. Then I thought, maybe I better double-check, so I called them. Easy enough. I was told there would be more paperwork for the procedure. Okay, fair enough. I asked to have it mailed to me. She said they could not mail it to me. I explained the paperwork for "new patient" was mailed to me. She said they have hundreds of patients, and that prohibits them from mailing out the paperwork, and I would have to come back in to pick up the additional paperwork in person. Something doesn't make sense about that. I can make my procedure appointment over the phone, but they can't mail me the additional paperwork? Is something telling me not to go back? So many try so hard just to have one mess everything up.

Well, first of all I was very early for my appointment and I was invited to come right back to the exam room. The young lady that took me back there was knowledgeable and very thorough in her question. When the doctor came in, she acted like I was the only patient she got to see that Day giving me all the time we needed to discuss the issues and about her new baby girl. That kind of service in the medical industry is very hard to find and yβall should do everything you do to make sure you donβt step away from those principles

Went for my first visit on July 3rd. It took me 45 minutes to do all the paperwork involved being a new patient. Was brought into the examination room and the nurse/ assistant asked me a lot of questions, input all my information into the computer. The doctor came in within 5 minutes, asked a couple of questions and I was done. Went to scheduling and made my appointment and got my instructions for a colonoscopy.
I hope I have a follow up with the doctor because I have more questions.

Iβm glad most people seem to have had a great overall experience with this place. That was not the case with me. I will say the PA, Doctor and Nurse whom I dealt with were wonderful. While I understand that this is what matters the most, I have to say the front desk/phone/back room staff were less than stellar. From being lied to, condescending tones and insensitive/brash attitude towards patients was astounding. I didnβt interact with all the staff, so these were just a select few who ruined it for everyone else. Also, there were medical requests I had made that were completely overlooked with no explanation. I still have a few more tests that need to be done, but I will be going elsewhere. Great professional actual medical team, the rude staff can kick rocks with no shoes on.
