I’ve gone to Dr . Manning @ the Bone & Joint Specialist for 11 years now . Dr. Manning is Not only an excellent surgeon, but you can see that his purpose is to do everything that he possibly can for his patience so that they have the ability of live life as they did prior to their injury and I would never go to anyone else as long as he’s there. I fractured a wrist 11 years ago on the ice-skating rink and I knew he was a great doctor considering he was very conservative in his treatment and never pushed surgery if he didn’t feel it was necessary. My wrist healed 100% and I’m able to do everything that I did prior to the break 11 years ago. Unfortunately again while playing tennis, I fractured the other wrist same place but a little bit worse than last time and as of now, Dr. Manning is doing what he does and giving me an honest diagnosis whether it be healing with a cast or having to get a surgical procedure. No matter what I end up doing I trust Dr. Manning and I know in about two months I’m going to feel much better and most likely will move onto some Physical Therapy. Dr. Manning has to be one of the most honest, ethical & Choosing him I would guarantee you’re in the best hands you could be. One last thing when I saw him today he took all my fears away and I’m much more at ease now. I know I’m going to be OK and I’ll be back doing all the things I love to do at some point sooner than what I thought. Kudos Dr. James Manning you’re the best! This is a long overdue review. Dr. Manning did my rotator cuff surgery in 2003. I have been a hairdresser for over 35 years, and because of this well gifted surgeon , did not need a revision in over 23 years. My MRIs are stellar considering all the years of wear and tear. Dr. Manning was amazing. I had a frozen shoulder from a work comp injury. He did his best to do the least evasive procedures he could before we had to resort to surgery. The surgery was successful and I got my range of motion back with minimal discomfort. It’s been a year and couldn’t ask for more. His assistant, Alex, is amazing! Starting with GO my experience went smoothly. The appt confirmation with Michelle was so helpful to get me scheduled. At the welcoming desk EVERYONE was attentive and my information was updated-always a good sign when everyone acknowledges there can be changes in insurance and my health history. The radiology tech was quick to ask if XRays were needed per Dr Manning's orders. Dr Manning moved from room to room and I was greeted with complete professionalism. He asked many questions about my symptoms and added them to my chart. My right knee is in so much pain and needs draining, which was supposed to be done a week before Xmas, they re scheduled it for Jan 13, I've been in so much pain up until now and didn't get to enjoy the holidays, and on top of that when I went to the clinic for my appointment the lady up front wasn't very nice to me. I kept calling and hoping to get an earlier schedule so I can work without being in pain but until now all I have is for January 13. My knee started to hardened and It's really painful. Dr Manning truly cares about his patients well being, and not the bottom line. I was sent to him via my attorney for my shoulder. The imaging center that gave me the MRI, was saying full and partial torn rotator cuff. Most "attorney" Dr's are trying to help get the most out of a settlement. I'm an Uber driver, and surgery would take me out up to 6 weeks, but he's given me multiple options to heal my shoulder without so much time off. So even after I'm cleared from his care, if I ever have any Orthopedic issues, I'll definitely be coming to Dr. Manning.

The only complaint I have is, I don’t feel my pain at the hospital or during home care for the first 4-5 weeks post knee replacement surgery was sufficiently managed. It is my opinion, based on other surgeries I’ve experienced, I could have healed faster and made a quicker recovery had my level of pain not been so severe. Tylenol at 2 weeks post surgery was certainly insufficient to manage the excruciating pain that accompanies knee replacement.

Initial visit was great. Received injections in both knees. However, the follow up visit was quite disheartening. He questioned me about knee surgery. I reminded him that my husband was bedridden, has Alzheimer’s and I’m his 24/7 caregiver in our home. He questioned what caused his bedridden condition. I explained that he went into cardiac arrest and respiratory in our home. He was incubated and put into an induced coma for survival. After a surgery , which gave him a10% chance of surviving, we remained in the hospital 27 days. I remained with him 24/7 and he came home with me. He never walked again after that incident He’s cared for in our home.

Dr. Manning looked at me and said, “that’s so sad.” As he left the room he made the comment something to the effect that my husband may have been better off had he died because of the quality of life he had now. This was very hurtful. He walked out of the room and went in to see another person before I could confront him..so this tells volumes about his bedside manners. I will never visit his office again.

I'm a patient of Dr. James Manning. The doctor is treating me for a left knee problem. I have Parkinson's. Mobility is very important to me. With Parkinson's, if you stop moving, you lose agility, balance, and cognitive capacity . I know Dr. Manning will keep me able to move. I called two weeks in advance and provided all my insurance information over the phone. I arrived today and gave them my insurance card and ID and went to sit to fill out the paperwork. I was told after about ten minutes to come back up and was informed Dr. Manning doesnt accept my insurance. They couldnt have figured that out in the two weeks I called? This wasted a whole day for me. I'm very disappointed in the whole situation.
