So I was so happy to be able to book an appointment for myself with my Mother's Dr. Well short lived happy! I realized that I used LAST year s insurance card. ( Aetna does not believe in a sustainable environment) So I called the office to update the information immediately. Well apparently you need a referral as a new patient. I did not see that stated anywhere on the website while I was making my appointment. And it EVEN LET ME MAKE THE APPOINTMENT. Only to be told that oh you need a referral even though I have insurance that does not require referrals. So since there already seems to be issues before I even stepped foot into this office. No NOT HAPPENING! Thanks for nothing!

Dr. J. Hsu is an excellent doctor who my husband has gone to for several years. Our insurance switched this year as of 1/1/25. My husband had an appointment on 1/2/15. They placed a heart monitor on my husband. He wore it for 10 days, mailed it back, we never heard the results. My husband went in for a follow-up appointment on 2/11/25 to hear the results of the heart monitor. At that time we were informed that although they accept Aetna, they don't accept HMO, just PPO. We have just HMO now. We were told to be seen the co-pay would be over $100.00. They wouldn't even tell us the results of the monitor & were sent away. The staff are very negligent! Now my husband had to get another cardiologist, he had AFib again & this Friday March 28th, he will have another heart monitor put on...again. Insurance is such a corporate mess, no one informed us that he was no longer accepting our insurance & the staff embarrassed us in front of the waiting room announcing the issue. Everyone heard & felt so badly for us. We were also waiting for a note for my husband to stop his eliquis for an upcoming surgery. We spoke to the staff several times, his dentist & oral surgeons office faxed the note several times, we also drove over an hour from our home to speak directly with the cardiologist staff about the note. They claimed that they heard from no one. Both dental staff were furious as they not only faxed, but called. This was before we were turned away on 2/11/25. No truth or organization at the Warm Springs location. We never did get the note & my husband's surgery was postponed until he could get another cardiologist. It's such a shame because Dr. J. Hsu is magnificent, but his staff are under qualified. We will miss Dr. Hsu.

The front desk person was very nice and greeted me promptly. I was called in after just a few minutes and the nurse was very nice and took my blood pressure and got me ready for my follow up with Dr. Hsu. He came in and greeted me nicely. We discussed my situation and he suggested that I wear a heart monitor for two weeks just to make sure that I don’t have any other problems with my heart. He was very thorough and considerate. I thanked him very much and I will see him in six months. Everyone in this office does a great job!

Dr. Hsu did a very comprehensive workup after I had a stroke. We were trying to determine the cause. He did stress test, bubble ultrasound, and a month of heart monitor. He was looking for Atrial Fibulation. In the end, I was perfect, so it was something else, maybe just cardioid artery plaque.
Dr Hsu was very good at remembering and addressing several concerns such as a large ascending aorta. He also answered all the questions we had.
I've been to several cardiologists in San Jose CA area, and some were horrible. In contrast, Dr. Hsu was the best I've ever had.
