Cancer is not an easy thing to deal with and the last thing you need is an arrogant doctor one that won't listen to you or doesn't believe in you and about what he's doing all those problems are solved with Dr Brian Vicuna.
Just meeting with him relieved so much stress and anxiety this is the doctor you want not only for your oncologist but you would pick him for your soccer team or a teacher for your kids he's a good man and he's got the right heart and I'm grateful for him.

I unfortunately had a family member pass away recently who was working with Vicuna over the last few months. I joined in on a virtual call during one of her last appointments and heard how he treated her. Unfortunately, it was too late to change oncologists that far into the process, and it’s very unfortunate she had to spend her last days under his "care."

During the appointment I was on, she needed to pivot and start a new treatment, but the scheduling for it was about two weeks out with Vicuna. We asked a simple, reasonable question—whether it was possible to start sooner to avoid delays, or if anything could be done to expedite the process. He completely dismissed the concern and seemed annoyed that it was even asked. He bluntly said, “it won’t make a difference, she won’t die in two weeks.” She ended up passing away the day the new treatment was supposed to start.

This is just one example of many, and only from a single conversation that I personally witnessed. He lacks empathy, rushes every question, is unprofessional, has horrible bedside manner, and is full of uncontrolled ego. Being overbooked/overworked is not an excuse to treat patients this way or to be a pathetic excuse of a doctor.

If you or anyone you care about is needing treatment or care, I highly recommend staying away and finding someone else. Read the other bad reviews he gets, his actions are consistent. I truly hope anyone needing care finds a doctor who treats them with the compassion, respect, and urgency they deserve, which will not be here.

I did a ton of research on Vicuna before I had my GENETIC COUNSELOR refer me to him due to a hereditary disease I was diagnosed with. Set the appointment up, waited a month. Got a call day of appointment my appointment was getting cancelled because he wanted me to go to a genetic counselor. Called and informed them that I wouldnt have had thw appointment set if I didnt already see one so why am I going again? They called to say sorry he'll keep my appointment set. Upon seeing him I could tell he was annoyed of having to see me at the end of the day as well. He clearly had no idea about the diagnoses I had though he had information and google is free to use if it was unfamiliar to him. He proceeded to tell me I was still going to be referred to a gentic counselor. I had no energy to question him since he made it very clear he was not a caring doctor like many in reviews say he is. On top of that he laughed when I said I didnt have a primary then also proceeded to go very short with everything he said to me. Lastly told me I was not at risk for melanoma with the disease I have ( I very well am) referrals took 3 weeks to get. One of which they lost my referral. I do not recommend vicuna especially if you're young and just learning that you're at risk for multiple cancers.

First let me say,due to unfortunate circumstances,I had to change oncologist mid treatments more then once ..I love Dr Ahmed ,but I worked with Dr Gollard, so I saw him but he no longer took my husbands ins,so I came back to comprehensive and saw Dr Vicuna...I was nervous to be judged and I hadn't been cared for I was in a lot of pain...I have to say he practically finished my sentences knowing what I felt and my issues..I felt relieved..he is very thorough and caring..he listens and I was very very impressed..I highly recommend Dr Vicuna..I feel safe ,taken care of and my mind is at ease ,he's the best !! His office is on top of things !!..which is very important through a cancer fight 🙏

Dr Vicuna uses the PMD app. He expects you to monitor it for HOURS after your scheduled appointment in the off chance you might be graced with his presence. I scheduled six months ago. Still waiting to speak with ANY medical professional. Ive been a patient for over 7 years. Not impressed.

Vicuna is the worst doctor there is. He stays on vacation and gets mad if you don’t take the vaccine shots to cut him a check. He likes to argue with you. I told him I’m highly favored I believe in god that’s how I beat my cancer. He told me if there was a god why would I get cancer in the first place. I could have had his license took after saying that, no way to talk to anyone especially in the profession like that. I will never let this slide for what he has said to me. There are other great doctors in Vegas. Don’t trust him, he will kill you just to go out of town.

My elderly husband has been sick for months. We asked for a transfer of care because of the convenience of driving 2 miles as opposed to 12 miles. Even though the the new CC is closer it’s still a hardship on my husband to get ready and in and out of the car. Dr Vicuna’s office offered telehealth conference for my husband. What a relief. Dr Vicuna was prompt and the conference was quick. They discussed how to proceed and what to expect in the months to come.

This doctor simply has no heart and does not care about your well-being. Does not allow for question asking and he wants it to be known that he knows more than you. This was an appointment I’ve dreaded for 20 years plus. Spent the 70’s at the beach every chance we got and the community pool and just in the sun always. Dr. Vicuna was prepared, understanding, and explained hopefully more than I will need, while saying this is worst case scenario but it looks like you’ll be best case. I appreciated knowing the worst, the best, and every possibility. It was nice getting real information and not the “don’t worry about it.” I actually feel like he’s on top of it and I won’t get to the next stage, because he’s on top of it.

I really hope I can update this review to be better. My experience so far with the staff, has been so unsympathetic and down right dismissive, which has been such a huge shock. I have been trying to schedule my husband's follow up appointment, after a sudden hospital stay revealed a mass that needed a biopsy. I heard nothing back yesterday after leaving a message, called again today and was told the new patient coordinator had to pull his hospital records first and then would call to schedule. I asked if I needed to do something to expedite that process, was told no "she just has to pull it". I then asked about how long that would take and when I could expect a call back to schedule, I was told maybe the end of this week, maybe next week! I understand that for the office staff this is just another Wednesday, but for me this is the single most important appointment of our lives. Our whole world is in limbo, and we have small children, I expected more compassion from a cancer specialists office.
I wanted this update to be a positive one, but our experience has only gotten worse. They called to say they could see us on the 17th of June, almost an entire month after the biopsy, because the doctor is going on vacation. I asked to be transferred to another doctor, my husband was working 70 hours/week hauling fuel 3.5 weeks ago and now he's in massive amounts of pain and barely walking around the house. I was told Dr. Vicuna would do a televisit today at 3, at 3 his staff called to say he was having technical issues and could we wait until Wednesday! We ended up going to Summerlin Hospital, and I pulled his pathology report myself. We learned in the hallway that my husband has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The office did eventually call me back today and allowed us to schedule with another doctor. I'm still reeling from how little disregard the doctor had for my family and my husband facing such a difficult diagnosis. My hope is our visit with the doctor tomorrow and CCCN as a whole is better. I truly hope that my experience is an isolated one.

Positive vibes always. I have been with Dr. Vicuna and his staff for 7 yrs. and I am always happy and grateful to see them. I get my bloodwork done at CCCofNV and visit his nurses the following week. Calling has become difficult, but that is happening in all medical facilities. It is not much of a bother to make a visit and see the nurses with questions or needs. That is a big plus with Dr. Vicauna's staff.

Former patient, seen this doctor back in 2021. 21 years old male now however 19 at the time. Brian V kept mentioning during my appointment that I need and should definitely go get my Co v VA C

I listened to his advice and now I have Penile Thrombosis ( AKA PENILE CLOTS )Additionally I also developed pudendal neuralgia. Also, as well developed varicoceles in both testicles ( Varicose Veins & Clogging ) as well as overall inflammation of the body however mostly in the groin area. I woke up the next day after getting it and spent 2 weeks in summerlin hospital. After the hospital not knowing. I ended up visiting every hospital in LasVegas throughout the year with the exception of saint rose hospital.

After over 2 years I have finally been diagnosed with a very complex case.

I’ve been dealing with this issue since Nov 21 2021 and I am now getting ready to start exploring surgeries as a 21 Year old male and may never be able to have a healthy penile region ever again in my life.

I am listed in the system as someone with an adverse reaction to Va C C ines & Biological substances

I have a team of doctors working with me and are worried I have an undiagnosed heart issue from this as well.

Shame on this Man for recommending such understudied poison to a healthy young man who is not healthy anymore and may never be.

Not using my real name here but I would like to give Dr. Vicuna a review. Im a cancer patient for 3 years now and Im glad I saw him online. Called their office, i was actually turned down twice by one of the oncologists in their office but he volunteered to see me. Im thankful to have him as my new oncologist now. This Doctor, as in Dr. Vicuna is just awesome. He’s thorough with his work. He is passionate about his work and, overall wellness of his patients. I was a referral to him and Dr. Vicuna made me feel like everything was going to be just fine. Lo and behold, he was 100% right. My blood work came back and my worries are now a thing of the past. Dr.Vicuna was happy for me as he was going through my paperwork with me via telemed and I saw his face lit up with joy and his genuine happiness for me over my bloodwork and that made me happy. During my appointment, he asked me 2 separate times if I had questions because he wanted me to know that I could ask questions if I had any concerns. Dr Vicuna has been treating my father for bladder and esophageal cancer the last 2 years. He has done an excellent job managing his care. He used chemotherapy and radiation to put my dads esophageal cancer in remission. He used immunotherapy to treat metastatic bladder cancer and extend my dad's quality of life. I live out of state and Dr Vicuna always returns my calls and answers my questions. Since my dad is 89 and doesn't always fully hear or understand things, Dr. Vicuna and I have talked extensively about my father's treatment plan and prognosis. Dr Vicuna is very knowledgeable and employs leading edge protocols. His bedside manner is not as warm and caring as other physicians I have worked with, but he truly cares about his patients and gets results. I highly recommend Dr. Vicuna. At times, the office staff has not returned my phone calls in a timely manner and that has been frustrating.

Dr. Brian Vicuna is my husband's oncology doctor for over 4 years.He doesn't talk much and can sometimes be misunderstood as to be not so concerned, but as you learn to know him more he is a knowledgeable caring doctor.
