Detail #1: the choice of which type of implant post;color and material was not mentioned until I brought it up

Detail#2: what there was a distinction made between 2 parts to the procedure process, and therefore giving a separate pricing for each as separate parts of the procedure.When in fact when i asked if these two things weren't both done at the same time, and not really regarded as separate parts of the same thing; it is like saying the O'Reilly cookie you are buying is 4.00$, but the icing inside the cookies are a separate charge of 3.00 more. Because the icing is put into the cookies as an added flavor.The cookies now cost 7.00 because you are being charged for the icing.Try buying the Oreo cookies without the icing.Cant be done. An ahatement(or gr abatement, is part of the implant placement. All done at the same time;can't do an implant without it,yet Iwas informed the charge for one is separate from the other.When i asked why, the answere was not to my question. But am description of how the Abatement is done.

Detail#3: when provided with my quote for placing both implants,Bd it was rather high i asked if the face that all of the predatory work had been done had been taken into avcount,thus making the work much less than if that had not already been done. I qa told that yes the extractions and bone gratings was taken into account.

I'll be honest, I put this off for years. Then I finally walked into Hillcrest and wished I'd done it a decade ago.

I did ten months of clear straight, then five crowns to finish everything off. That's a long stretch of appointments. And somehow it never felt like one. Every time I came in, whoever I was sitting with already knew where I was at, what was next, and how my dental plan worked for that visit. Nobody ever made me re-explain anything. Nobody ever said "let me check on that and get back to you." They just had it handled.

And here's the thing that got me every single time — they knew my name. Not "let me pull up your chart" and then my name. I mean I'd walk through the door and someone at the front desk would greet me by name before I said a word. The assistants, the hygienists, the doctor, everyone. Over ten months and however many visits, that never once slipped. It's a small thing that turns out not to be small at all. It's the difference between being a patient and being and being a person.
I’ve seen many doctors offices over the years, and I've genuinely never seen a team run this smoothly. There's real coordination happening behind the scenes. Handoffs between people were seamless. Scheduling was easy. The billing side was clear and never had a surprise in it. Whoever built those systems knew exactly what they were doing, and whoever trained that team did it right.

But the part that stuck with me wasn't the systems. It was that everyone there was just genuinely kind. There's a version of "efficient" that feels cold and rushed, like you're being processed. This was the opposite. They were quick because they were good, which meant there was actually time to talk, to answer questions, to make sure I understood what was happening in my own mouth. You can feel the difference when people like where they work and take pride in what they do.

And the results. My smile turned out better than I pictured when I started, and I'm not someone who's easily impressed. I catch myself smiling in photos now instead of doing the closed-mouth thing I did for years.

If you've been putting this off like I was, go see them. Ten months later I only have one regret, and it's that I didn't call sooner.

This is a predatory dental office. The only reason they have such a high rating is because they send 20 different texts after the first appointment begging for 5 stars.
All I wanted was their clear aligners offer but after reading all the reviews I’m happy that did not work out. Go to an actual orthodontist!
First off, they used one of my exams/X-rays on my insurance (I didn’t want that or know that was happening). It was supposed to be a free consultation for clear aligners! Then I was sneakily charged for fluoride when I was not aware that was not apart of the cleaning. Lastly, I was quoted for about 5 cavities & you have to pay in advance for a filling appointment.
After seeing my regular dentist (that does not offer clear aligners) I did not have multiple cavities and did not need to pay the $250 I was quoted for.
I called to cancel & got attitude from the person on the phone (Ali) because I did not want to reschedule or return to them. That was a few weeks ago, I called again today & now I have to wait until Tuesday because the billing manager is “in a meeting” all day? Okay. My money has not been refunded.
Overall, this is a very money hungry practice that focuses too much on trying to be your “friend” so you can pay a big bill instead of offering honest dental work.

I’ve given this dental office several chances, and unfortunately, each experience has left me more disappointed. The focus seems to be far more on upselling additional services and treatments than on providing quality care and a positive patient experience.

During my visits, I’ve felt pressured to agree to services that were presented as necessary, and when I declined additional recommendations, the attitude and level of customer service noticeably changed. Appointments also feel rushed, yet somehow take an unreasonable amount of time. On my most recent visit, it took hours just to complete X-rays and a cleaning, and even then, I did not feel that all of the services we had agreed upon were completed thoroughly.

Communication has also been extremely frustrating. My husband was never properly placed on the schedule, nor did we receive an appointment confirmation or reminder. Despite that, we are now being told that insurance will be billed for a missed appointment. It is concerning to be held financially responsible for an appointment that the office failed to properly schedule or communicate to us.

After multiple attempts to give this office another chance, I no longer feel comfortable trusting them with our dental care. There needs to be a much greater emphasis on communication, customer service, transparency, and patient care rather than constantly trying to sell additional services.

Patients should feel cared for and respected—not pressured into spending more money.

Won’t ever go back!!

I went in for their new-patient promotion for X-rays and a basic cleaning. After waiting three hours, I was told they would not perform the cleaning included in the promotion and instead insisted that I needed a much more extensive procedure that they said “might be beneficial” for me.

It felt like a classic bait-and-switch: advertise an affordable new-patient cleaning to get you through the door, then refuse to honor the promotion and push a significantly more expensive treatment instead.

The staff was extremely friendly and pleasant, but unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the experience. After spending three hours there, I left feeling completely misled and frustrated. I will not be returning, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for honest and transparent dental care.

My first visit to this Dentist very impressed with the doctor's and the staff. After being sold 5000.00 in denial work I started to notice a pattern I've had four different dentists three different hygienists rarely see the same person twice and every time they look in your mouth they are trying to upsell you or get money out of you so after having two crowns replaced the lady that takes care of the insurance inform me that the zirconium crowns had a $400 copay which I had two crowns put in and paid $800 my wife went to her dentist and had two crowns put in last week and said it cost her nothing I said did you get the zirconium she said yes call the insurance company she said zirconiums are 100% covered I went back to my dentist and asked why I was charging $100 for a warranty that was never explained to me or given to me they brought a piece of paper out after me asking to see the office manager apparently the office manager didn't have time to talk to me so they had one of their assistance talk to me showed me a signature on a piece of paper saying I purchased the warranty which was never explained to me or give it to me after I purchased it I had no idea I had a warranty so all I can say after 2 years with this dentist be very careful they like to upsell and charge you for things you're not aware of I found out the hard way and the assistant went on to tell me what we pay that $800 to the company that makes the crowns they don't get the money so there's no way for them to refund the money shady shady shady.

They have to tone down the upsell, ask questions instead of pushing sales with fear and deception, fix their machines, fix their processes and start valuing peoples time.

Went there to get a basic cleaning, first day wasted an hour and nothing happened because their machines were not working. Went there again two days later. Waste 2 hour for them to pressure me into getting bunch of things I don’t want. Then they couldn’t find my insurance and have to redo all this again. After wasting 2 hour they still asked me to wait more.

I wasted 3 hour and gained a lot frustration, wasn’t a good deal for me. And through all this only one of the employees were friendly the rest was treating me like I caused their problems.

Over the last year in particular, I have noted how much this practice has changed. I began to get frustrated with staff who weren't listening, tried to force expensive procedures, and didn't hear my concerns. I was going to give them another chance, and now they have a robot answering their phones. This is indicative of the level of service this was evolving into.

Great people have left the company over the years, and we're left with people motivated by generating money no matter what. I get that this is probably a tough industry to survive in, but they have left me very unhappy. I don't think other practices are better. In fact, they're probably worse.

I have had a hygienist and a doctor there that I absolutely loved (in a platonic way). I hate that I am now at a point where I have to walk away. The robot answering phones just kills me. She lied and said the office was closed... then, after checking the hours and calling back, it said everyone was too busy to talk. No hold, no pause. The practice has lost its humanity.

3 years ago, I wrote this: 5 Stars: Glad I found them. Got my teeth cleaned yesterday and ... Don't you love that feeling after???? OMG yes.

I went to Boston Dental first because it was closer to my house and I was in Mind bending pain thinking i needed 3 teeth pulled. I was turned away with just a prescription for antibiotics and a come back on Thursday... It was Tuesday...
I drove over to Hillcrest Dental and they took me in numbed my pain THEN decided if they could help me... true Dentists!!!
They were so professional and cared more about getting me out of pain first... once they checked everything out they decided it was best to get 4 teeth pulled and bone graft right away... I cried because they just cared so much about me and getting me out of pain... Thank you so much!!!

This is by far the best dental office I’ve been to. I have a lot of trauma surrounding dentists and being ignored. The system they have is so thorough and you’re actually involved in the conversation and the handoff to every single person happens in the room with you they explain everything to you show you everything on this huge tv they have in the room they are very open to questions and overall very positive environment

The staff in this place was so sweet they give you homemade chocolate chip cookies the staff is so pleasant the dentist is awesome everybody's so attentive and they're like honestly concerned about your well being and what's the best option for your mouth and health I really enjoyed them it's just unfortunately financially I can't afford their prices but I know they're definitely a word coming to if you want to get your teeth done!

Great service since day 1. My wife and I have invested in Hillcrest because they have made the infamous "dentist visit" less terrifying and ultimately enjoyable. We return for the service and dentistry, but mostly for the compassion and understanding. Would recommend to anybody who is afraid of the dentist because they will not only ease your mind but reassure you that help from great people still exists.

Also, they make plans very affordable which is amazing.

Update: i have some feedback based on my recent experience. I am getting 3 dental implants and it was time to get my mouth scanned for my permanent teeth to be made.
The assistant was so supportive and sweet but due to afew challenges when working on my mouth, a routine scan that should have been complete within 20 minutes, it took 2.5 hours.
My advice, it's ok to ask for help. Much better than struggling for so long.
Second, one of the posts fell out the next day. Unfortunately, I'm moving across the country and they were closed so i wasn't able to go back in to get it reset. I have tried 3 times to get in touch with the office to ask for advice with no luck. Very frustrating. I can't afford to pay another dentist to repair their mistake.
Lastly, the reminders about appointments are excessive. I'm already getting reminders for my next appointment in 4 weeks. I got 4 reminders the week of my last appointment.

I highly recommend going to Hillcrest if you have any anxiety or fear of the dentist. They were so supportive, patient, and willing to answer the same questions at each visit.
Additionally, everyone working there were so pleasant and calming.

I was tbere for a free evaluation for implants.
In general, it was very much a sales appointment. Had I not asked ‘directly’, I’d have not spoken to anyone with dental health qualifications. I never spoke to a/the dentist, and ultimately, I only spoke to a nurse because I had enough questions that were beyond the assistant’s understanding of the process. I was a bit disappointed it was ‘such’ a sales appointment. It had a very time-share sales feel to it with almost no real information given outside a hard push for a comprehensive appointment for $100, which would have apparently gotten me some of the actual dentist’s time. In general, it was disappointing.

I had cracked my tooth and in total desperation I needed to fix it right away because it was cutting my tongue. I just drove to Hillcrest dental first thing in the morning hoping that they could fit me in on an emergency appointment. For some reason my dentist that I normally go to is now closed on the weekends. So Hillcrest was opened, and as a walk in new patient they had no problem taking care of me. They have the latest technology and took the time to explain everything to me. I was very grateful and pleased with the work done. I will be moving over to their practice now.

First, they upsell to high heaven. Second, they looked at me like I was insane when I asked for a gold crown. Then, they scammed me out of the warranty I was forced to pay for on the zirconia crown after it broke and when I finally got them to give me a gold crown (that cost just as much as the zirconia crown) they forced me to pay for the warranty even though I'm never going back because I found a better dentist. 0/10 do NOT recommend.

It’s hard to like dentists, but this team makes it a bit easier. They are prompt, professional, and helpful. They understand the challenges of oral care. I’ve been going to them for a couple years now. I like the doctors and oral staff, but some of the front desk staff have given me attitudes. I’ve asked them to limit prophylactic treatments to those approved within my insurance coverage, but have been repeatedly upcharged on further services that are not covered. I’m lowering my rating as a result. Their office is conveniently located off of the 2-15 and Cheyenne.

I’ve been a patient at Hillcrest Dental for over a decade, and the quality of care and professionalism has gone downhill so badly that I’m honestly shocked. After years of trusting them, I’m walking away feeling taken advantage of and disrespected.
I had two different crowns pop off, both of which were under warranty—one of them even came off three separate times. That alone should’ve been a huge red flag about the quality of their work, but it somehow gets worse.
When they scheduled me to fix a crown, they scheduled me incorrectly. I ended up sitting in a chair for two hours, literally doing nothing, only to be told I had to come back again on another day. Not a single thing was done during that appointment—just a complete waste of my time.
Before the procedure, they had me sign paperwork explicitly stating I would be charged $0 because my crown was still covered by the 5-year warranty that I paid for. That warranty apparently means nothing, because despite their own paperwork, I later found out they added charges anyway.
Fast-forward to what was supposed to be a routine cleaning appointment: suddenly I’m being told I have a balance for those appointments. I pay for my treatments as I am present, so I was completely confused as to how a mystery balance even existed. And to make things even more ridiculous—they waited until this appointment to inform me they don’t take my new insurance, even though I had already given it to them previously.
So I showed up for a cleaning…
didn’t get cleaned…
got told they don’t accept my insurance…
and then was asked to pay a balance I didn’t even know existed.
This office has turned into an absolute mess. The lack of communication, the billing errors, the low-quality dental work, and the disregard for my time and loyalty are completely unacceptable. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

I don’t leave bad reviews ever, I usually like to support and compliment companies for a job well done, but this place is a joke! I just read through the other negative reviews and laughed out loud as to how accurate they are!

Pushy car sales tactics across the board… it is so tacky!

I went for a regular cleaning, and for someone who goes to the dentist every 6 months, flosses daily, and takes care of my dental hygiene, they managed to find a lot of crap “wrong” to try and upsell me on. I ignored it the first time, paid for my cleaning and went about my day.
6 months later at my next cleaning, and they kept pushing the need for two crowns, and their version of Invisalign, scaring me that the worst case scenario would happen. So I was like whatever, schedule my appointment and take care of the “problems”. They schedule me, charge me upfront for the crowns that insurance supposedly covered, and then proceeded to tell me I owe from my last cleaning appointment 6 months prior. I told them absolutely not, and called my insurance. My insurance rep emailed me immediately showing me proof that the amount had already been paid months prior. Fast forward to the afternoon before my appointment to get the unnecessary crowns that they upsold me on, and have already been paid for, and all of a sudden my insurance company isn’t covering them and told me that I owe thousands more. I told them they are absolutely ridiculous, to cancel my appointment and refund my money that had already been paid.

I will NEVER go back here! I have already told my entire office staff, and family to steer very clear of this establishment. Hillcrest Dental is full of tacky, horribly trained sales people, not an honest group of individuals. It’s gross, how pushy and obnoxious they were, and any good sales person should know that honesty and trust are most important when asking someone to fork over any amount of money.

Anyone who reads this… STAY AWAY!!! The 5 star reviews are simply not accurate.
