Services provided were great, and I paid for them at the time of service. They offered to "see if your insurance will pay," but then billed my insurance company for services they didn't provide. Now they're billing me. Beware of them offering to bill your insurance for cosmetic items you know aren't covered.

I was a little surprised when reading the negative reviews others posted. My experience was completely different. I have been to the office three times in the past year. Twice for myself and once for my daughter. All three times I was seen reasonably close to my appointment time. I also was able to get an appointment without a long wait (less than a week wait).
That's rare anymore. I was willing to see a PA (Kelly) instead of Dr. Langsford, so that helped. When I need to get in to other doctors I see I have to call weeks in advance. I thought the office staff was friendly. I do make sure I get a receipt because one time, a couple years ago, I was billed for my copay which I had taken care of at the time of the visit. I went in with the bill and my receipt, and the charge was taken care of immediately. I've never had another problem since then. If you decide to give them a try, I hope you have the same experience as I did. Good luck.

My pharmacy has sent 7 prior authorization requests via fax so I can get my prescription. It's been over a week since my appointment and the day it was prescribed to me. What is the point of seeing a dermatologist if they can't answer a simple fax so their patients can get the medication they need? The doctor asked me to schedule a follow up for 2 weeks after my first appointment to check on my progress. News flash: little to no progress will be made without you authorizing my prescription! I hope they sincerely apologize and answer my pharmacy's prior authorization fax ASAP or I will find another dermatologist. Do better, be professional, do no harm doctors!

I had a great experience a Lux Dermatology. I trust the knowledge and expertise of Scott McLeod. I went in to have some spots that I thought were suspicious evaluated and he put my mind at ease. The office is clean and well-managed (and the views are spectacular!) I didn't have to wait long. I felt like a valued patient.

I have been seeing Stephanie Atiyeh here since she started working here even at the old location. The entire front office is so professional and timely and I've never had to wait when I've had an appointment. From the front office to the back office, everyone communicates really well and you feel really comfortable being treated there. I felt at ease and am always comfortable with Stephanie's bedside manner and love being a patient at this office.

I called this location to make an appointment. I verified with my medical insurance provider over the phone that it was covered and that the dermatologist I was wanting to see was also covered. When I called the receptionist answered the phone and pretended like she couldn't hear me and was talking to someone off to the side. I had to hang up and call back. When I did she was incredibly rude and impatient. She said that I had somehow already been there before, which I hadn't, and I asked if they were affiliated with any other medical offices, thinking that could be why they had me in the system. She said they weren't affiliated with any other medical offices and I asked if it had shown in my file which doctor I had supposedly seen in the past. She said no and started talking in a condescending manner. She asked me if I had insurance and then if I had my cards with me. Then she asked which dermatologist I wanted to see and when I told her the name she said "You won't be seeing him. " I said "Excuse me? What do you mean?" I received no explanation from her until I had to ask her several times for clarification. She was impatient when I was getting the name of the dermatologist because apparently customer service isn't what she comes into the office for. She was trying to rush me off the phone and said well why don't you just call us back and she refused to schedule the appointment. Needless to say I will be visiting another facility instead of being subjected to such rude behavior.

I hesitated a long time before getting some work done as I wanted to find the doctor I’d would trust and feel comfortable with. Done ✅ great experience. I love Dr. Macleod he is great and a trusting doctor. However, his practice has now been bought out by Lux Dermatology. Their practice has changed and their business model
I came in today as a follow up appointment to a previous appointment “to check the progress” this is usually not an appointment that requires payment as it is a “progress appointment” now today I was charged 100.00 for a follow up. You may want to get clarification before setting up an appointment as to follow up. I have been seeing him for 10 years pretty disappointing.

I don't do reviews but if my review can save someone than I'm happy. Don't waste your time or money going to this place. My wife had a biopsy a month ago, we were told they would call us with results. Well a month passed no one called. We left 6 messages and no one called us back. My wife finally went down there to get her results. Than to top it off we got a bill for $140 because they never got the procedure approved by our insurance are you serious? Now the office manager want to tell us we signed something saying we would pay if the insurance doesn't? So now you want us to pay because you didn't do your job? It's not happening send it to collections cause you ain't getting a dime from us.

The billing department (Call Center) is outsource in Orlando and you can never get a hold of anyone. After weeks of calling they agreed that I shouldn't have to pay and closed out the invoice. Just recently they sent the same bill again. I still can't get a hold of anyone after leaving many messages. I have (2) insurance and shouldn't have to pay anything. I will never visit this place again. Worst customer service. I might as well pay the bill since my time is worth more than to waste it trying to get a hold of anyone. I guess that's how they force you to pay for services that you shouldn't after they get the insurance money. Complete scam!!!!

This was my first visit to Lux, for a full body scan to monitor my various moles. I saw Alexis Elliott. She was very friendly and professional and answered my questions without making me feel rushed. The office setting is very comfortable and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. All in all, a great experience.

I had an appointment on October 5th (first time appt) and went in early to fill out paperwork. After the paperwork was turned in, I was called up to the desk and told I owed a $91 copay. I told them there must be a mistake, because my old dermatologist office copay was $20. They assured me it was $91, and I told them this was not the office for me then. I then asked to have my paperwork back, since I would not be seeing the doctor and they refused, saying they had to keep it for seven years. I left angry and called my insurance company who told me the price they tried to charge was not correct. Now, a month and a half later, I just got a call from them saying I missed an appointment on November 19th that I never made! This is EXACTLY why I didn't want these people to keep my info! I'm livid with this office and never even saw a doctor. Wish I'd never stepped foot in this place.

My daughter is a patient of one of the PAs at the Sparks NV location, which apparently does not have doctors at this location. My daughter has been suffering from eczema, was offered Eucrisa to avoid steroid use but during that visit I was not even told the name of the medication, frequency of application, adverse effects, duration of treatment to determine efficacy. No other treatment options recommended or next steps moving forward. I am an internist and am not well versed in the atopic dermatitis in the pediatric patient population, thus relying on specialists for recommendations. I was very disappointed in the lack of care that was not provided and the fact that I could not see a doctor regarding this as my daughter has been suffering for months

Dr Leposavic is very skilled in Mohs surgery and does a thorough job. However, he has a large patient load on the days of surgery. He rushed in and out of the room. Last time I had Mohs surgery, he closed my wound but had a PA do it this time. The PA did not have an assistant for most of the time he stiched the wound.

Very unprofessional and canceled my appointment after being in the parking lot at 2:00 pm but taking me 10 minutes to walk to and find their office.. I called at 2:00 pm asking for directions while walking around unable to find the office. They took the family who arrived after me first then said Alexandra Davis is refusing to see me because I'm late. Very unprofessional

I brought my son here to Lux dermatology on July 17, 2017 during his summer vacation to have a tiny mole removed off of the side of his nostril . They were very condescending to me. The ladies at front desk were not friendly at all. When we went to the room, Stephanie came in and told us that we had to pay $250 more for them to take the small mole off, in addition to the $185 I paid just to see them. I was told over the phone at the time of the appointment that it was so minor, that it would probably be covered at no additional cost. They knew that they had my hands tied. What do I do, leave and be out $185 for nothing, or pay an additional $250? In the end, maybe ten minutes later, we left, out $435 for a tiny mole on a child. I will never come here again.

Not all dermatologist accept the same insurance here, Anthem blue cross in particular and the one doctor who does accept Anthem is not available on Fridays. Wish I had known prior to starting a short term treatment for my son for accutane here. Now I’m having an issue with any other dermatologist picking up my son mid treatment. Due to the dr unavailability on Fridays it has made scheduling difficult due to work. Dr. Is also not available during week of Christmas, huge inconvenience. If you have a child in school and a full time job this place wouldn’t be best for scheduling proposes, best to go with a dr available m-f or available on sat, and open during Christmas week.
