I needed To get established with a primary care doctor and today, I met Dr. Atif. He came highly recommended by a friend and I’m glad I met him. I like him, he was very friendly and professional, and took the time to answer all my questions and didn’t make me feel like he was in a hurry to see his next patient. I have always despised going to the doctor, and my family is happily AMAZED, that I remind them when I have an appointment at Intermountain on W. Lake Mead. I feel blessed to have found Dr. Mohammed Atif. I will repeat what I have said before: I do not go to the doctor to be reminded of my age. I KNOW IT! I'd like to leave a good review. I made an appointment for this office with Intermountain health on November 19, 2025 for a general check. I did not have a doctor in mind but Intermountain health recommended and scheduled me with Dr. Atif for 12/31/25. I was informed that Dr. Atif at this branch is accepting new patients. Also note I have been a patient of intermountain before so they have my health records. I went online to My Chart and filled out all respective forms, updating my health history and insurance info. I received numerous texts where I acknowledged and confirmed my appointment. I received a call today on 12/29/25 from this office stating they are NOT accepting new patients and my appointment has been cancelled. Well that's a whole lot of waiting for nothing a day before my appointment. Regardless, nothing against the doc as I never met him but even a great doctor cannot perform well unless the team around him is skilled at their respective role. They could have informed me much earlier and I would gladly make another appointment somewhere else. Again, not a knock on Dr. Atif but more of a heads up for him and intermountain health to address this process failure.

Saw Dr. Atif in early July and again in September
Was told he would send all my prescriptions to the pharmacy, as of the middle of October I’m still waiting. Some of the medications are dangerous if they are missed. I called the office 8 times, was on hold for over an hour each time.
Was continuously told each time they would be sent over. They were not. On the last call I was told they were not sent because Dr Atif was on vacation and no one was covering his patients while he was gone. This is absolutely unacceptable in my opinion. I canceled all future appointments with Dr. Atif and scheduled an appointment with my previous doctor, who had all my prescriptions sent to the pharmacy within 30 minutes of my call. I would not recommend Intermountain Health or Dr. Atif to anyone under any circumstance. Worst office staff and Doctor I’ve ever seen.

I needed to find a new primary care doctor because my previous doctor retired. When I went in for my first visit, I felt rushed. When I expressed concerns about my health Dr. Atiff didn’t seem to listen. I was charged for the physical which didn’t seem standard practice since my insurance coverage considers physicals preventative, therefore there is no cost. The follow up on blood work was scheduled 6 months out. When I called the office to ask about it, I was told “that’s weird.” I will not be establishing primary care with Dr. Atiff or any providers at Intermountain Health.

Th older lady at the front desk accused me of not giving her a paper she needed to make my follow up appointment. Which I knew I didn’t give her a paper because nothing was given to me! All along she has it in front of her face! I ask if there are any DRs taking new patients? To which she starts asking me why don’t I want to stay as Dr Atifs’ patient!!!! My appointment had been canceled by north Las Vegas without my knowledge. I had to wait for an appointment an hour later. The staff at the north Las Vegas location is incompetent. Regularly calling me with bad information, confusing information, incorrect information, and overall incompetence. The office manager should be fired, and that location should be investigated.. The staff at this location in Henderson was very helpful to correct the mistakes. I give them five stars.

Arrived at the Intermountain hospital and check in was great and simple at the checkin kiosk, no waiting in line is always a plus. Was greeted timely, by Dr Atif's nurse assistant. She was very thorough and polite. Dr Atif came by to see me afterwards and he is knowledgeable and polite. He listens well and recommended the appropriate referrals for further check ups. So far, I have had a good experience there. Looking forward to our six month follow ups.

The day of the appointment appeared to just flow. I gottened everything I went there for and even though the receptionist or nurse name evades me she's just so superb. In waiting in line she called my name out in front of a full room and that for me broke the silence that was hidden in there. The magic of positivity, laughter and humor still works I'm medicine. I hope that would always remain around the people who treat us in the medical field and that we don't drain them due to our aches and pains. I know I try to spread it around or bring it with me. And this day it shows it stayed in the office and gave me the beautiful day I had with everything working in favor of me with the staff, the treatment and the people who sees all my mask especially when I can't hide it but humor sets people at ease and brings joy into their busy work schedule to treat us, remember us, and know us with all the things happening around us or in everyday life. The treatment, the staff, and the women in there were exceptional, caring, and committed to honoring my wishes. Thanks for letting me cheat and get that lab work done. Sorry about being so long-winded but honesty I'm not. I detail the events in order to not forget who's mentioned, what's important and what things I noticed that deserves recognition. The doctor was also an important piece to this day but I let the front desk led the way on this one because they handled things in no way that I hadn't experienced before until this day! Thx dex
