I’m so happy to have finally found a doctor who believes in HRT for post menopausal women. This is my third appointment and so far I’ve been very happy with my interactions with dr. Monroe. Although I’ve just found out they will not be accepting United Health care insurance which means I will have to pay out of pocket. Ouch! This facility used to be awesome. However, maybe because business is slow or whether she is getting greedy she has decided to double her prices for pellets. After I have been with her for years this is how loyalty is rewarded. I was told a TEXT went out less than 24 hrs of my appointment advising me of the increase. I didn’t receive. Shameful and disgusting.

I thought Dr. Monroe was nice and attentive. However it pains me to say that I’m going to have to find a new OB-GYN. The front desk staff is consistently rude and standoffish. The staff in the back is super nice and they make you feel comfortable.

However, I don’t really like how much the office pushes sale pitches on you to buy their vitamins and stuff. It almost makes me feel as if the niceness is amped up so you’re more inclined to purchase something. A doctors office is the last place you wanna feel that way. I got blood work done and was told my iron levels were low. Guess what happened? No solid game plan— she immediately pushed for me to go get iron IV infusions (a $30 co pay each time) and insisted I go for 10 sessions. I’m sure the Dr. gets commission or something on referrals.

Secondly, I was pushed to get a transvaginal ultrasound in Nov of 2024. Guess when I got my results? Late 2025. After pressing the office for over a YEAR to send them to me. But they had no problem sending me a bill for that ultrasound every other month (which they didn’t tell me wasn’t covered and would be Out of Pocket until it was already done.).

Good luck trying to get someone on the phone btw. Every time you call it takes 30 min just to reach someone. Whatever. I’m just one person and one review. My mom really loves it here so good for her. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.

An increase in cash for office visit x approx: 30%
2.5 hour wait time for my appointment- I was informed of her running late - was told 45 min but it was 1.5 hrs.

Dr. Monroe is a great physician. I worked in OB/Gyn offices for years so, I know a good one when I see one. She is thorough, takes her time with patients and explains everything very well. Dr. Maribel Monroe has been a godsend for me. She is diligent about treating the root cause of issues and does not shy away from bloodwork and testing. She is always super validating and takes the time to sit down with you and go over all of your concerns. I have seen so many specialists for various issues, and no one has done more for me to actually improve my symptoms than Dr. Monroe. Women’s healthcare needs more providers like this. Her practice no longer takes my insurance, but I am happy to pay for the office visit because I actually get symptom improvement and better understanding of my health issues from her.

I have seen major results improving my health during these difficult times as I get older. I've been to four other doctors before coming to her and I was frustrated with my results.
