I first met Dr. Tahir in December of 2023 and was shortly thereafter diagnosed with a serious kidney disease. From the moment I first met him I instantly liked him for his professionalism, compassion and for treating me like as individual, not just another patient. I knew I was in the right hands.

I have visited him at his office’s countless times both during my diagnosis, treatment, and the remission of my disease. I can honestly say I looked forward every time to my visit, knowing he was there for me and always had my health outlook in mind.
Furthermore, in today’s medical insurance climate (and I have good private insurance, but I will leave it at that!) he had to fight with my insurance company to get approval for both an expensive prescription drug as well as an immunotherapy infusion.

To get approval for the immunotherapy he had to have what is called a peer-to-peer review with a doctor from the insurance company. That review had to happen within a specified time. I distinctly remember him telling me while he was having difficulty getting the call scheduled saying “now it is personal! ….” I knew I had the right man going to bat for me. It goes without saying he got the approval for the immunotherapy and the prescription drug, twice!

His assistant, Ashlee, is also fantastic. I respect how busy medical offices are, but any time I sent a message through the portal to her, she always replied quickly via email and often called back as well. And given I always need to have blood work done prior to my visits, I can always count of her friendly call reminded me to get it done.

Happily, my condition is in remission, and I truly believe Dr. Tahir had a lot to do with that. The only bad part is one would have to have a kidney ailment to see this fantastic and kind man, Dr. Nauman Tahir. If you need to see a Kidney Specialist in the Las Vegas area, he is the man!!!
