My husband and I use Parkway Surgery Center for our routine testing. We have been to the Green Valley Parkway location several times since moving to Henderson 7 years ago. Not enough can be said about the extraordinary quality of care provided by the staff there. From the moment you arrive until you’re discharged, you are surrounded by kind, helpful and supportive health care workers who treat everyone like family. Shout out to Amy, Karley, and Kathryn for all they did to welcome us and care for us. Ladies, you are simply THE BEST! Thank you again to Parkway Surgery Center for everything!

Recently I had to undergo Upper endoscopy, by
Dr. Adebayo Mokuolu, M.D. at the Parkway Surgery Center. Dr. Mokuolu procedure went extremely well, and I am very pleased with his manner of treatment method and that he took extra care in taking biopsies as he thought was necessary. I especially want to recognize Parkway Surgery Center and the entire office personnel and the caring nurses that assisted in my care and recovery. thank you all Robert Palmer

My experience at Parkway Surgery Center was chaotic, distressing, and handled with alarming disregard for patient safety and bedside manner.
Having undergone over 20 upper GI and colonoscopy procedures in the past, I know standard protocol, but this facility failed across nearly every stage of care:
Scheduling & Check-In:
The facility called ahead to move my appointment earlier, only for me to wait an hour in the lobby—meaning I was seen at my original time anyway. While the front desk receptionist was pleasant, things deteriorated immediately once I was called back.
Lack of Physical Boundaries:
I informed the staff that I was healing from a fractured ankle on a fixed leg and simply needed an extra moment to walk to the restroom. Instead of allowing me space, a staff member physically pushed/guided me from behind despite me stating I did not need assistance.
Chaotic Pre-Op & Redundant Inquiries:
Because of vision issues, I filled out all medical paperwork thoroughly in advance to avoid errors. The nurse ignored this, badgering me with the exact same questions while another nurse attempted an IV. I was stuck four separate times across two different nurses before getting a working line. Meanwhile, the nurse repeatedly interrogated me about my nose ring and private body piercings, demanding irrelevant details that have never been an issue in any of my past 20 procedures.
Procedure Room Sensory Overload & Safety Risks: When I was brought back, a nurse carelessly dropped heavy cables directly onto my fractured, fixed leg, causing significant pain, then argued with me about my ability to turn over. Simultaneously, a technician tried forcefully shoving a bite block into my mouth while the anesthesiologist tried asking about my extensive medication allergies. Before we could even finish discussing my drug allergies, he abruptly stated he would "just use Propofol" and started the medication while my gastroenterologist was talking behind me. It was disorganized, overwhelming, and clinically dangerous.
Rushed Discharge & Dismissive Aftercare:
I was placed in recovery for barely five minutes before being told to get dressed and leave. Anesthesia takes time to wear off, and releasing a heavily sedated patient that quickly is unacceptable. Furthermore, when I asked about the preliminary findings sheet left with me, I was told the doctor "doesn't see patients afterward because they won't remember anyway"—completely disregarding the fact that my husband was present to receive instructions, as is customary.
The sole bright spot was the nurse who wheeled me out, who took a moment to show genuine empathy for my leg and provided a helpful orthopedic recommendation. Outside of that, the dismissive communication, careless handling of injuries, and disorganized sedation protocols explain why their ratings are so low. I will never return.

Going in for surgery always brings some level of anxiety and mine was pretty high. From the moment I walked into the building, felt welcomed. The intake lady immediately helped ease my anxiety with her kindness and compassion. Dr. Herrero, the anesthesiologist (with the cute Michigan hat), along with the nurses - Shay, Heather, Candie, Patti and the entire stuff were outstanding. Everyone was professional, king and incredible supportive throughout the entire process. I truly appreciate the excellent care I received and highly recommend Parkway Surgery Center to anyone looking for compassionate, high-quality medical care.

Parkway Surgery Center is amazing! The staff are all so kind, smart, and hardworking. They really take their job seriously. Both my husband and I have gotten multiple colonoscopies here, including mine a couple of months ago and his most recently. He also added an endoscopy, which he said he couldn’t even tell afterwards as he had no soreness. Dr. Mokuolu is the gastroenterologist we see and he’s amazing and seriously the best!
The facility sets up text message alerts to the patient’s driver as they move through surgery from prep to completion. I was informed every step of the way. I could sit and visit while he waited before and in recovery.
The facility is in a nice clean parking lot with some fast casual restaurants nearby, so multiple options for a quick coffee or bite to eat while waiting. I just walked because it was so close. When back in the office waiting area, there is cold water and a coffee machine. Lots of seating inside and some in the main lobby as well.
Shout out to Danielle, Amy, Ramee, and Heather who helped take care of my husband. My caretakers were Jayeline, Ashley, and Ashley N.
The only negative is the fire alarm was being tested about 9am, which I commented to the maintenance that they shouldn’t do it while people are in surgery, as it’s very loud. It wasn’t anything to do with the surgery center, because this was the building operators scheduling it.
See everyone again in 5 years or so!

This place is amazing! I've recently had a colonoscopy here, and my husband did last year as well. We both had perfect service, from online to in person check-in. The office and building are clean, well kept, and have ample parking. Staff is professional and friendly. There are definitely plenty of staff, too, so there is always someone available to assist. During my procedure, I started with nurse Amy and had several other wonderful people help me. Dr. Mokuolu was my gastro, and he is fabulous! The procedure was a breeze! I woke up and felt great, was talking and able to eat easily afterward. I was even done at 11:11am, which is good luck! I got to see pictures of my colon and the polyp they removed. I didn't have any discomfort at all. Just FYI, I recommend that, as a woman, be ready to use the restroom for a pregnancy test upon arrival. The prep was very dehydrating, and I needed some extra fluids to be able to go. The staff was very patient with me, which I appreciate. I would highly recommend coming here because they do an excellent job!

Not HIPPA compliant, only curtains seperating you from other patients so you can hear name, dob, medical info of other patients. After I woke up from the endoscopy prep/feces was on my butt and running down the back of my leg. I had to use the blanket to wipe it off. No wet wipes or anything. Also leads were still on my body when I got home. This place is so unprofessional for nurses, assistants, and physicians. I will never go back.

Getting anesthesia with Dr. Goodsell was very painful. It felt like my veins were being sliced open. He used a catheter instead of an IV to administer anesthesia, and did not respond to me screaming in pain. He was very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone.

What a staff! Neeci, Amy, Jeff, and Ashley were such an amazing crew; I felt fully informed and supported during every step of the process. Being bundled in freshly warmed blankets before and after my procedure was an extra thoughtful touch. No one ever wants surgery, but this is definitely the place to go if you need it!

The surgical support staff is informative, sincere and caring. I had a ring on my finger of the arm to be operated on. Four of the team tried every option to get the ring off my finger before I recommended they cut the ring. Each person I encounter from check-in to check out was warm and interested in my well-being. I left knowing they were there to continue to support me through my recovery.

I can't speak to the surgical procedures because I didn't make it that far. After waiting for over an hour, my name was called at noon. As soon as the admitting nurse noticed that I was carrying a water bottle, she called me out on it, "you've been drinking water" she falsely accused me of! I told her "no I haven't" and she seemed very bothered that I carry a water bottle, so she said, "I'll have you speak to the doctor." I said ok. When the doctor came out, he was VERY condescending. He told me, "you've been drinking water." I said "no I haven't! Look the bottle is FULL!" He would not even look. He said, "you must wait!" I said, "how long?" He said "4pm depending on how busy we get." I said, "I will schedule another time." I did NOT feel safe with a staff that was convinced of an "imaginary" infraction and who dismissed my eyewitness testimony as if to call me a liar. I felt VERY uncomfortable at this place. No thanks, I don't trust them and I did NOT feel safe there.

I was brought in while in custody for a traffic violation I was asked repeatedly if I had any metal.on my body piercings plate screws anything like that I was told for safety reasons then while still wearing handcuffs belly chain leg irons I was put to sleep and they performed surgery that I never okayed I was supposed to get just a simple biopsy they took it upon themselves to stretch my esophagus not knowing that I had a herniated esophagus and it made everything so much worse it's illegal to keep somebody in metal restraints while under anesthesia and it's illegal to perform an unauthorized surgery

I just had my surgery for my right knee meniscus and man I can stress enough how amazing these professionals are. Dr.baker, Jeff (my guy💪🏾), Neeci, Ria, and Emilee were extremely nice and attentive. I was really nervous and they all calmed me down and reassured me to the max and I can’t thank them enough. Jeff was definitely my guy, warmed my bed up for me before my arrival, gave me two warm covers especially one right before going back into surgery, which helped so much because it was really cold in the surgery room lol. Overall, they made the process so much easier and relaxing that I forgot that I was ever even worried. If you guys ever need anything procedure or anything I would recommend these guys 11/10 times seriously! Thanks again!

I had a good experience here, surgery went well, staff were nice. It was cheaper here than other surgery centers. They gave me a card afterwards signed by everyone, that was a nice touch. Minus 1 star bc they are very hard to get ahold of at their billing department, they never answer the phone and they never return calls when you leave a message. I may have to drive all the way there just to talk to someone.

If I ever need their services again, I will definitely be going here again.

Extremely impressed with the care I received here. From the intake desk to post op I was taken care of like a celebrity. The center is conveniently located and easy to find. It is immaculate and nicely decorated. Special thanks to the nurse (I have forgotten her name) that prepped me for my procedure, R.N. Anne and CST Law in the operating room and PACU Alice post-op who was with me when I woke up. At every step I was kept informed as to what was happening to me (as was my spouse). Everyone was kind and attentive to all my needs. I highly recommend Parkway Surgery Center.
Last but not least, my gratitude to Dr. Philip Larsen and my anesthesiologist who got me safely through my procedure!

The nurses and pre-op professionals were great and took great care of my 6 year old daughter.
They need better resources. If they are going to perform surgeries on young children they need to stock items for them. Her gown was an adult XL. Her socks were XL. And they didn’t have crutches small enough for a girl her size. Had we known they were going to be so poorly equipped we would have asked to have the procedure done elsewhere or brought our own stuff.
It wasn’t an emergency surgery or a last minute deal.
A little pre planning and foresight would go along way. Due to these issues I would not recommend having your children’s surgery here.

Billing Department is completely incompetent. I was required to pay the copay/surgery center fee, PRIOR to the procedure. I am still getting bills for the fee 1 year after the procedure. I have called numerous times. They have requested I go in person to resolve their mistakes, nope not going to happen.
Be prepared to be harassed for a long time, even if you pay your bills.
Hopefully this has a negative impact on their business.

The surgery center collected an estmated Insurance co-pay as a pre-payment prior to my procedure. I later recieved a bill in the mail for a lesser amount of copay. I had my insurance compay contact them about the double billing. It required multiple calls by them and finally they reached Emily H who agreed to refund my over payment. However, the their billing company continues to send the same bill in the mail, despite their have been informed by the insurance compamy that they have been overpaid already. This is turning into a huge time-consuming hassle, and my fear is that it will end up at a collecton agency because of thier ionability to communicate with thir billling agency and correct thier own errors.

Worst experience ever my daughter had surgery here. If I wasn’t in the recovery room I probably wouldn’t catch everything that they were saying to her as she was coming out from the anesthesia crying because she was in pain. They had the nerve to tell her to stop crying be quiet you’re not hurting how do you know she’s not hurting she just came out of surgery. They were rude As hell I had to tell one of the nurses don’t tell my child to be quiet or to stop crying…. I heard that this place was amazing so I gave it a chance. never again I would not recommend this place for anyone with children. and the nurses were getting frustrated because she was crying. She’s a child what do you expect. They were just rude and cruel. They had no care in them.

Nurses and front office staff were amazing, kind, patient and professional. They let my 7 year old son talk with them, kept him engaged, and really treated him as if he was their own child. Dr. Yip was informative, professional, and did a great job on my son's ear tubes.
The frustration came with finding out I had to pay my portion, $1500 the day of surgery instead of being told prior to surgery date. The amazing office staff helped me navigate that part. The worst part was the anesthesiologist. He lacked bedside manner, barely humored my nervous son as he was asking questions and telling him about the treat he was getting after surgery. After surgery as my son is crying hysterically coming out of anesthesia and this man had the nerve to verify my phone number and tell me his office will be calling tomorrow to collect his fee of approximately $500.
I had no idea that there was another charge outside of the surgery bill and the out of pocket cost I was blindsided with. This anesthesiologist seemed more worried about his money than my son. Very frustrating and disrespectful to an overwhelmed mom.

Neeci was not only very professional but was also very welcoming which made our first time at this place very comfortable. Jenn who brought my son and I into the Pre-Op room was very informative and patient when she had to correct every paperwork for my son because his name was spelled incorrectly🥰 The rest of his nurses were very helpful and made this whole experience smooth and easy. I had a partial meniscectomy on 10/01/20 at Parkway Surgery Center. From the moment I arrived I felt that I was valued as a patient and would be well cared for. I had a short wait after signing in and, upon being called back for OR prep, was attended very closely. All aspects of my procedure were thoroughly explained. My anesthetist, Dr. Blake, spent several minutes speaking with me. My surgical assistant, Jeffrey, clearly explained everything I would experience in the OR, from the coldness of the room to the reason for all team members' presence. At no time was I nervous about my procedure. During recovery I was kept warm and comfortable with plenty of saltines and juice. I left the facility feeling well and in good spirits. Surgery center personnel called a few days later to check on my condition. All in all it was a grwat experience and I will feel very comfortable having future procedures conducted at this center.

Overall a fantastic experience. Obviously a little nervous beforehand, as it was my first endoscopy & I also had to be there alone. The nurse I had was very caring, calming, and informative...actually, everyone I met there was. They all took good care of me, and seemed to with the other patients. I felt no pain, anesthesia was fine. Had results same day. Whole experience took maybe 2 hours, the endoscopy about 30 min including waking up in recovery room. Recovery staff were also very helpful & attentive. If I have to go back for any reason, I will choose this place every time.

Would’ve rated this 1 star except that everyone else was remarkably great and it wouldn’t be fair to them. Was in recovery with my aunt while the nurse was giving discharge instructions, when I over heard a woman’s voice scolding someone. It was so distracting that I could barely keep attention to what the nurse was saying. I asked the nurse what was going on and she said it was the director getting mad at another nurse because a patient was taking too long to wake up. It was so hard to not over hear what she was saying, and she kept laying into this nurse. I began to feel really bad for her. Her tone of voice was unnecessarily loud and sounded like a parent scolding a child. At one point I was so disturbed by what was going on that I wanted to interrupt and ask her if she could be a little more considerate to the other patients and family members in the area. The other nurse she was scolding looked like she was about to burst into tears. In the state where I am from this would be ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE and considered work place harassment. I asked the front desk for the name of this director and was told it was, Melinda M. Everything else was great but unfortunately witnessing that situation created a very hostile environment. No one should ever be spoken to in that manner especially in a work area with other patients, family members and employees. The situation was so disturbing that I am considered filing a complaint with the state to investigate.

If I could give a 0 star, I would. I have had surgery scheduled here for months and went for a tour yesterday to finish paperwork before the big day next week. They took my weight and said my BMI was too high and canceled my surgery on the spot Their BMI limits are 40 (non-negotiable) and mine was higher. She said 'well you wrote a different amount than what the scale says'. Even the weight I wrote down on my paperwork was too high per their rules, so Lisa's snotty comment still didn't make sense. I get it, I am too fat for them...too much of a risk. I kept my cool and suggested that they need to have a system in process so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Coincidentally, Lisa told me she had to turn another patient away for the same reason earlier that week. I am now having to make all new arrangements at the hospital who will do the surgery. Problem is my doctor is booked out for months. My mother, who lives out of state, has spent SEVERAL hundred dollars on airfare to be with me during my recovery and now come to find out that was WASTED money as the tickets are non-refundable. Trying to get a refund from the surgical center would be a joke. They don't care. There was no real apology and I am still in limbo on a surgery date, more importantly still in pain as recovery from my surgery as been delayed thanks to Lisa and the surgical center's stupid mistake. The staff and this company could really care less. If they want to make it right, change the way you do business so this doesn't happen to other people. Patients have jobs, make plans for recovery (spending $ on airfare, pre-op testing, etc.), have real lives, and something simple as asking what a patient's BMI is before comitting to a surgery date would be helpful. DO NOT HAVE SURGERY HERE!!! If they screw up on this, lord knows what else they will screw up on.

My son went in for a procedure. He has severe anxiety and the staff made him feel so comfortable, helped put his mind at ease. I could not be happier with the service he received. The nurses are amazing. We can only hope that if we ever have to have surgery again, that it will be here among these wonderful, professional people.

I've been there twice, and while the medical part if it is good, they took the deductible from me when I signed in. But they didn't submit the claim first so I had to pay my deductible again to the doctor and the anesthesiologist. I can't get them to return my money. It's been 6 months. If I didn't pay them for 6 months I'd be in collections.

This was my very first surgery experience and I have to say that as nervous as I was, the nurses that took care of me were the best of the best and really made me feel less anxious! Sue in pre-op, Jodi in the operating room, who calmed me with her gentleness and compassion, and the recovery nurse, (who's name escapes me but that's because I was still not very coherent) did her best to make me as comfortable as was possible at the time. I'm astounded that I received better treatment in this surgical center than my daughter did at a hospital when she had her C-section a month ago. God forbid I have to go through another surgery, but If I ever do, I want these ladies by my side!

My daughter had her tonsils removed in October of 2017. At the time of the surgery I was overcharged for services. it is now March of 2018 and i am still trying to get a refund for the over payment. Every time I call they tell me that it is being processed and that I will receive a check in the mail shortly. I would not pay this place a dime until after your insurance has paid out their share. Otherwise they will over charge you and never refund the money.

The staff here are pretty friendly but if you are getting surgery from DR Ronald KOE please run away as fast as you can. That man is the worse surgeon you will ever come across. he ruined my shoulder by improperly putting anchors inside my labrum. I can no longer do any physical activities thanks to his carelessness. Please i advise you to look somewhere else if Dr koe is doing your surgery. He has a bad reputation around town.

Just a friendly suggestion to improve customer service: Please change your Parkway Surgery Center folder given to patients with instructions. The front cover has information on the bottom of the cover in white lettering containing very important details that advise the patient to pre-register at least 3 days prior to surgery. We didn't see it, and I didn't see it the last time I had a procedure done at least 8 years ago. It also reminds you when to have your bloodwork done. The person who checked us in also commented that no one can see the information, or reads it......I think it would be seen & read more often if the valuable information was placed at the TOP of the folder in a bolder font and a color that stands out, or is highlighted. Thanks for your attention in this matter. The service recieved on procedure day was excellent!!!!!!
