Orthopedic Surgeon Parminder S. Kang, M.D. graduated from the Academy of Math, Science, Arts, and Technology at Las Vegas' Ed W. Clark High School. He then graduated with honors in physics from the University of California at Berkeley in 2001. A knee injury in college led him to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Kang received his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine where he graduated at the top of his class (AOA) in 2005. He then completed his orthopaedic residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center in 2010. During his residency, he received the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma Best Teaching Resident Award.

Dr Kang performed knee replacement revision on me in July 2025. My new knee is working well and I no longer experience pain in my knee. This past Monday I called Dr Kang’s office and was able to get an appointment for this past Thursday. I was experiencing severe pain in my hips and barely able to walk. Staff took X-rays and doctor explained that I have arthritis and bone spurs in both hips. Both hips need to be replaced. I received a cortisone injection in each hip and already feel a difference in my pain level. Hopefully this will hold me over for several weeks/months. Thank you Dr. Kang, PA Sherry and all that helped me yesterday. I highly recommend Dr Kang and staff. I trust them wholeheartedly.

I recently had my first appointment with Dr Kang. I found he and his medical staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. He described the medical procedure I would be needing in the near future with confidence. I was also provided with literature as to what to expect. I felt reassured I had selected the correct surgeon for my treatment.

Dr.kang did a knee revision on my left leg. From Day one he showed me everything he had to do! Dr. Kang is a very friendly and good bedside Manners!
It's been months now and I am doing good! No walker or cane!

Everyone was incredibly friendly. They genuinely wanted to ensure my comfort and offered to provide me with a wheelchair to assist me around the office. Ithey would simply offer me a refreshing cold water.

Parminder S. Kang, MD replaced my left knee in September 2023, almost three years ago, as I write this. The procedure was flawless, perfect, as well as the result. I couldn't be happier. If, and when, I need to replace my right knee, I will definitely go back to Parminder S. Kang, MD and his great team at Desert Orthopedic Center.
