Dr Simon SHIH is my Dentist for many years already. He advised me to consider an implant on one tooth since my root canal didn’t work out for me and the infection persists. Today Dr SHIH gave me different options and I decided to do the implant.He will start on the procedure tomorrow.
I totally trust him to do the work perfectly which will take several months. It is a process for sure and costly.

I spoke to a dozen Dental offices in Las Vegas in search of a new dentist (as my dentist unfortunately moved back to California)...

Most dental offices offered immediate price quotes for New Patient Exams/X-Rays, as well as for single surface filings and or crowns...

Unfortunately, several offices had inexperienced Office Administrators who had no clue what they were doing, and these few offices each refused to give a quote over the telephone (even with the understanding that the quotes were simply baseline/ball-park quotes which would need a full X-Ray/exam to confirm)...

You could always tell if the Dental Office would give an over the telephone quote by home comfortable/experienced the Office Administrator was on the telephone...

At Peccole Family Dental the Office Administrator appeared to be very inexperienced, and immediately became flustered when I asked questions...

Of course Peccole Family Dental refused to give me a quote for the direct services I asked for...

The dentist appeared to have fairly good reviews, but with an untrained Office Administrator, I refuse to find out if the dentist is as good as their reviews.

WORST EXPEIRENCE EVER.

Went in for a cleaning, made very clear not to do a bunch of X-rays I just consented to 4. They ignored that and did more.

Then they threw a bunch of things I didn't want a quote and demanded I sign it. I just wanted the one filling I need and nothing else, they refuse to just give me a filling. They want the quote signed for Invisalign which I don't want. They won't just do the cavity filling. WORST DENTAL OFFICE. AVOID. THEY ONLY WANT TO SELL YOU STUFF YOU DON'T NEED AND FORCE YOU TO BUY IT TO GET THE STUFF YOU DO NEED.

I’ve been going to this dentist for over five years. On November 25th, I went in for a cleaning, and as I was leaving, they told me I had to pay $10.
I asked why, and they said it was because six months ago, when I got a filling, the insurance paid $10 less than expected.
Now, $10 isn’t an amount that really matters to anyone, but the fact that they brought up a $10 discrepancy for such a long-time customer, instead of just clearing it as a small courtesy, really showed me how much $10 must mean to them 😂.

As a former NASA researcher, I am very particular about the skills of those who work on me. Dr. Shih is one of the best dentists I've known. His knowledge and skills put him in the top 1% of dentists I've known. He very carefully evaluated me and was so honest with his conclusions that I did not need any dental care at this time. How often do you see a dentist without leaving without at least a $1000.00 in treatments. What a breath of fresh air. Honesty and integrity are so rare today. Also, he graduated from one of the finest clinical programs in the country and his training was clear from his approach to properly reviewing all the data in front of him.

His staff were so kind and professional. Audrey (I believe this was her name) at the front desk went out of her way to locate my insurance info and made sure insurance covered my expenses.

A top notch experience in a sea of those who attempt to dental companies driven by practice management companies that ensure you are sold something on each visit.

In addition, Dr. Shih has a great sense of humor. He even came back to lift my chair up to make sure I was comfortable. Thus shows he was raised properly. Please thank his mother for this! Greatly appreciated. -David

Told hygienist & office staff that I wanted twice a year cleaning & check ups so as to make sure the visits were covered by insurance. On my visit today, I was told my prior cleaning had been erroneously scheduled (scheduled for only five & a half months instead for 6 months). So insurance was not paying. Office staff told me that scheduler was no longer with Peccole. They said “sorry” but that I still had to pay out of pocket for Peccole’s scheduling error.
I think, when I explicitly, said I wanted my visits covered through insurance, the office staff was derelict. Today when I expressed my concerns & displeasure about this, I was informed the office manager would call me to discuss. No call received. Dentists at Peccole are fine. Office staff are terrible. I don’t recommend this place.

I’ve been going to Peccole Family Dental for several years now. Dr. Shih and Dr Funamoto are great. I highly recommend them to everyone. This particular visit was for a cleaning and Dr Funamoto was the hygienist for me. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the visit with her instead of another hygienist. She is very pleasant and sweet to work with. I wish she can be the hygienist all the time.

The Peccole Dental receptionist greeted me by my name, which was very nice, and immediately informed the proper personnel of my arrival.
The hygienist who attended me was quite respectful and charming. After my cleaning, the Doctor thoroughly examined my teeth and gums.
The offices are immaculate and I felt warmly secure.
