I switched to Intermountain Healthcare and Dr Del Carmen a couple of years ago and it was the best move I ever made. You never have to worry about getting to see someone or if you have questions that they won’t be answered. And she is the sweetest nicest most helpful Dr I’ve had in Las Vegas.

It takes me a while to warm up to any Dr and longer to open up to any Dr because I’ve cycled through too many. As my MD I’ve been satisfied with her and she knows what she’s doing while being strait but not pushy. So far Del Carmen is the first I’ve opened up to a little in 8 years. I like her and she gives me more than enough time. But, we’ve only scratch the surface. Can’t fix 43 years overnight.

Very thorough and understanding. Although the list of doctors for certain disciplines is only one(1) group of doctors when UHC has so many more, I choose to stay with IHC because of Dr. Del Carmen.

In my opinion the Dr. DO in training need more people training in how to speak to especially the seniors. Seniors are different from the younger generation, therefore the explanation should be more systematic with understanding and care.

The medical care by both Colleen and Dr. Del Carmen( hope I spelled her name correctly). The attitude of Melina, the assistant, showed me thay she needs an attitude adjustment. Melina was rude, not forthcoming with pertinent information, and was not truthful. Not only that, but she was clearly frustrated with her conversation with me and I actually told her to stop talking so that I can explain my situation.

Dr Del Carmen is incredibly smart and kind and listens to what you have to say.
My only problem is nurses not understanding us older people bruise easy and need to take that into account when taking blood pressure.
High blood pressures can easily be caused because the apparatus they use is hurting us, and that results in inaccurate BP's.
I leave the office every time bruised from having my blood pressure taken. There has to be a better way
