This is an evaluation of the care I've received at the Rhodes Ranch Dental office for some years now. When I moved to this side of Las Vegas, I continued to see my dentist where I used to live because his care was so exceptional. Unfortunately, he retired and I decided to look for a dentist closer to home. I happened to run across a Dr. Darren Loveland and called his office. A lady, Eleina, answered and I told her that I was looking for a dentist close to my home, a dentist that had his own practice, and one that would attend to all my dental needs. She told me that Dr. Loveland would fill all those needs. When I first went there, I knew things were different than the atmosphere in some offices that I'll call the "corporate dental clinics," where there are a lot of people and many different dentists on duty. At Rhodes Ranch Dental, it's owned by Dr. Loveland and he's the only dentist practicing there. He has assembled a staff of caring people who try to make all your visits pleasant ones. Who enjoys going to the dentist, one might ask? I've told the staff that an appointment with them is like a visit with friends. If Dr. Loveland has to do any complicated work on a patient, like a crown, he'll be assisted by his skilled assistant, Renee, who will make the impressions for your permanent crown and fit you with a temporary one while the permanent one is being made. When you go there for a routine cleaning, you'll be cared for by one of his hygienists, mine is Ling. And finally, there are the financial arrangements. Can you imagine all the different insurance companies and their various coverages? What a maze! Jennie is able to negotiate all those and get you the benefits you're entitled to.
One may wonder why I would write such a review. It's because I'm a patient there and feel deeply that Rhodes Ranch Dental, Dr. Loveland, and his staff will be able to provide you with the very best dental care possible, all in a pleasant atmosphere. I was especially impressed with how thorough the dental cleaning was. It was gentle but very thorough, and I could truly feel the difference afterward.

I am also very pleased with my dental implant. The dentist was meticulous throughout the entire process, from the evaluation and treatment planning to the placement of the implant. The precision and attention to detail were outstanding.

I've been bringing my daughters and myself to Dr Loveland for years. The quality of work is great and the staff has always been friendly and very professional. You won't find a better family dental office around. They've done everything from extractions to bridge work and Invisalign for my daughters. They work with most insurance companies and if you're paying cash, which I have before, they give great discounts. My kids don't want to go to anyone else but Dr Loveland. This was my second visit to Rhodes Ranch Dental and so far it’s been amazing. The staff have been super sweet nothing but kindness and smiles they’ve answered all my questions which is greatly appreciated (in all honesty I’m not a big fan of a dentist and they truly were such sweethearts). I’ve had to have a couple teeth pulled and Dr. Loveland has done everything he can to make me feel comfortable, and make it as easy as possible for me as my procedures have not been easy. He maybe a little rough around the edges according to other reviews and he might be slightly serious but I’m great full for this as I’m trying to keep my teeth and thus far, my experience has been one that I would highly recommend others to see him. It may have been the Xanax but I sware I saw him smile. 🤣 this last visit. His office is a very nice comforting, clean and very welcoming office and I’ve been to many in my life time. And many kudos to the assistant that helped this last time the dr and her worked together extremely well together.
Should something change I’ll post but as for now Dr Loveland and staff can’t be thanked enough!

Update: a lot of work has been done and this group is still amazing! They have been taking such good care of me everyone from the front office to the dental assistant and even the dentist they are knowledgeable, kind and with no doubt caring I recommend Dr Loveland and his staff wholeheartedly!!

I just started recently coming to this dentist and his staff when searching for a dentist that takes my insurance, and I must say I have no regrets. His staff are amazing and kind and he is great at what he does; my first visit I told them I had some issues and wanted to put together a treatment plan; his staff sat me down, listened to me and presented me with numerous options, no pressure and explained everything in detail. I chose the plan and began going for my appointments.

Multiple fillings, a crown, and eventually a few implants to address injuries from the military (no I won’t see the va for dentists, if you know, you know). My appointments have been nothing less than incredible. All my anxiety over shots to numb things, fillings, etc pretty much gone (still hate needles)

The dentist knows what he is doing, the numbing shots he gets it right the first time and I felt absolutely nothing through multiple appointments. His staff are just as knowledgeable, polite and ease my anxiety. This is by far the most knowledgeable and skilled dentist office, across the board I have ever seen, been to or heard of. I drove 120+ miles round trip for this dentist office for a reason, in a truck that gets 15mpg on the freeway at best from pahrump. I cannot say enough good things about this office, the dentist and his staff and recommended them without hesitation.

This Dental place is an outrageous rip-off! Steer clear of this scam!
I went in just for a deep cleaning, forked out $257.80 straight from my wallet.
Then, a few months down the line, I get a letter from my dental insurance, flat-out denying coverage, claiming I had fillings done – a complete fabrication!
And don't get me started on the appointment debacle; they unilaterally scheduled it without my consent, and now they have the gall to send me a $50 bill for a supposed no-show, plus a freaking $134.2 bill from a past balance I knew nothing about! What's the deal here? How much should a basic deep cleaning cost anyway?
Is this dental place completely unhinged? This is beyond infuriating!

I’ve been coming here since I was a young child. Being under my parent’s insurance I had no choice of my dentist. For starters, the doctor makes me feel really uncomfortable. Dr. Loveland isn’t reassuring or comforting but mostly gives off a cocky and arrogant demeanor. Every visit he would recommend certain procedures that I felt wasn’t necessary and only mentioned to make money off me as a patient. Most importantly, I couldn’t believe that he was strongly recommending to remove my 4 wisdom teeth by just give me a relaxing medication like Xanax or numbing injection all just to prevent me from going to an oral surgeon and get them properly removed while under anesthesia. Again, all to just make money off the patient instead of what is best for the patient. Thankful to be able to choose my own dentist now and not return to him, just wanted to share my experience with Dr. Loveland.

Doctor is very rough and not talk to paciente much, assistants do talk. His assistants are all depends on each. Some of them very sweet, on the other side one blond one super nasty. They told me that I have to do crown, but other dentist just did filing (way cheaper). They said my first cleaning has to be deep one. In the future when I did regular cleaning there was no difference, just deep cleaning I have to pay from my pockets. One good thing about this place, they are straight forward with their pricing, no surprises. Not happy with this place. Have to find different one.

On Friday, June 28, 2019, I visited Rhodes Ranch Dental. My #30 tooth had cracked away at the base and I wanted to know my options.

Darren T Loveland, examined the x-ray and informed me the tooth had to be extracted.

He performed the extraction. Afterwards, his assistant gave me care instructions - which I followed to the letter. She also informed me there is an emergency number if there are any complications.

There were complications. The bleeding did not stop. It did not slow down.

Because the bleeding was so profuse 6-8 hours after the procedure, I called the office. Because it was a friday, everyone was gone for the day. The recording did provide me with an emergency number.

I called the number. No one answered.

I left a voicemail. No one called me back.

I had to then scramble and find another dentist who was open on a Saturday (if you recall, I had the extraction done on a Friday morning).

I found another dentist (not rhodes ranch) in another part of town. He agreed the wound would not heal on its own. He sutured the wound. Only then the wound healed.

I also had to pay 100% out of pocket for the suture because it was NOT done at the same time of the extraction.

Why did Darren T Loveland at Rhodes Ranch dental NOT offer this service to me?

He made this incorrect decision (to not suture) knowing that he would be leaving town for the 4th of July holiday (I overheard him tell his assistant this while they were prepping me).

Now, over a week after the extraction, I get NO CALLS/EXPLANATIONS/APOLOGIES from anyone at Rhodes Ranch dental.

I also make these statements in complete confidence that I will swear, under the penalty of perjury, in a court of law, that what I write is factual.

Do yourself a favor and open your eyes. If this happened to me, a similar incident can happen to you.

Best. Dentist. Ever. I had gone to Rhodes Ranch Dental for 6 years until I moved out of state. They helped me get my teeth clean, white, straight, and healthy. The whole office radiates positive energy and everyone working there goes the extra mile, Especially Dr. Loveland! From insurance issues to lost Invisalign trays, the team handled each issue perfectly. Other pluses are that the office is clean and up-to-date, not shabby, rundown, and scary. You know you’re at a professional dentists office when you walk in. I’ve never been overcharged or ripped off. All of my options were explained in depth, with clarity, and with your budget in mind. I had options and could make my own decisions regarding my teeth. Also, Dr. Loveland made sure his work was perfect and would fix it if it wasn’t. Other dentists had never done this. They blamed their poor work on something else and would charge me a ton to fix it. I had been to dentist after dentist who would do a terrible job that was expensive and incredibly painful and then refuse to fix it. You won’t experience that at Rhodes Ranch Dental. I would drive 45-70 mins just to get to my appointments after I moved across town, and I didn’t mind because they are THAT great. They are truly the best and I doubt you’ll find a better quality, plus affordable dentist anywhere else in Las Vegas.

I highly recommend Dr Loveland. He is the BEST DENTIST I ever had. I’ve been his patient since 2004. I had a root canal recently and I did not feel any pain the entire process. He is very skillful, gentle and caring. The crew are friendly they treat you like a family. Vicki, the dental technician and assistant is amazing. She makes me feel so relaxed during the procedure and explains in detail the after care. Erin is the best hygenist! She is so gentle and makes sure my teeth are thoroughly cleaned. Raysa, at the front office is so friendly and accommodating. I needed to see Dr. Loveland ASAP and she got me in the same day. The place is easy to find, high tech, clean and parking is very convenient.

I love Dr. Loveland. He has been awesome. But, all of a sudden the new cleaning technician is trying to be extra forceful with her UPSELLING. After I said that I just wanted a regular cleaning, she still insisted on sending finance in to advise me on costs of something I said I didn't want. Finance wouldn't accept that I didn't want to hear the sales pitch.
Unfortunate that Dentists are now taking these extreme tactics.
I've been to the dog and pony dance before with other dentists..I can't be scammed anymore.
If I just wanted a regular cleaning..and said I only wanted a regular cleaning..why couldn't that be accepted?

This was my first time using this dental office. It was also my first dental visit in a really long time.. oops! Everybody from the office staff to the dentist was amazing! In the past I've had dentists somewhat degrade me due to not having perfect teeth. But the dentist and hygienist here were so great. They showed me what I needed done and why without any pressure. The main reason I was there was for a deep cleaning and Erin my hygienist took so much pride in her work. She made me feel super comfortable and relaxed that I was actually happy and excited to return the following day to finish the cleaning. We've been going to Rhodes Ranch Dental for 5 years and will continue to go to them for years to come! Dr. Loveland an excellent dentist who doesn't try to push unnecessary treatments on you, and his staff is personable, friendly, and helpful.
