I saw Dr. Malik yesterday, and I like him—a lot. He has two qualities you want in a hematologist/oncologist: (1) he is nice and (2) he is smart.

Dr. Malik is a genuinely caring physician and exceptionally nice person. He’s down-to-earth and explains procedures in concrete, easy to understand ways. My appointment did not feel rushed. He was on time. He invited my questions and patiently answered them. I found his presence comforting. I appreciate all of this.

I can’t imagine Dr. Malik would voluntarily tell you that he has 35 years of dedicated experience taking care of patients. He is super nice, so he is not going to wave his credentials around. But I’m telling you this because it’s relevant. Sometimes you need an expert, and Dr. Malik is an expert. Rest assured, he knows what he is doing because he’s done it before. He’s going to order the appropriate tests and do his utmost to achieve the best outcome. I have absolute confidence in him and feel fortunate to be his patient.

Dr. Shahid Malik is an outstanding physician. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. He took the time to explain every detail of my visit and answered all of my questions with patience and kindness. I never felt rushed and truly appreciated the attention he gave me. ENCOURAGED!! My first time to this facility. I was greeted by very friendly staff. My wait in the lobby was very pleasant in a very spacious accommodations in comforable seat My wait time was in a timely manner and being escorted by a pleasant staff member. She was very efficient in my preparations. Doctor Malik made good timing upon meeting with on a timely manner. His introduction and manerism put me at ease as he appeared very focused on the computer consentrating my records. Doctor is very soft spoken and explained to me what he was reviewing. He was very specific and made me feel he really is concerned individual which made me feel less apprehensive. I did not feel rushed or under pressure and made me feel at ease to speak freely to express concerns. Overall, I am very enlightened with our meeting and look forward to a very productive encounter with doctor and their staff in the future days to come.

I had been a previous patient at a different location than Eastern and Twain, I did not have the best experience the first several years that I went there with the Dr. I had. When my insurance approved the referral back to Comprehensive Cancer Center, I was nervous, only because of this particular Dr., not anything to do with the other employees or the staff, except for this Dr.’s nurse! I made my appointment for a transfer patient and then I met Dr Malik and at the first moment we started discussing options, he was listening, had review my medical history and he was, I feel genuinely interested and willing to go forward with how we together will proceed with my disease. So happy I made the appointment and went. Such a difference in the appointment with Dr Malik versus the other Dr.👍

Dr. Malik was excellent!! He is personable, thorough, and clearly extremely knowledgeable. He took his time with me to answer all my questions, he reviewed bloodwork test by test with me, and shared his expertise by explaining things so that I truly understood.
