Dr Rodriguez has been one of the kindest doctors along my journey. Thank you for taking my cholesterol seriously that has given me such a peace of mind this year. After 7 years on cancer meds and no one else taking it serious. Only so much I can do. She’s compassionate, takes the time to listen to each patient and what their individual needs. She started me out with holistic meds first and when she saw they did nothing she said I’m starting you on this and I want to check back in here. Not once since my care was transferred to her, after my last doctor left, I have ever felt misunderstood, not listened to, or even that the person treating me didn’t care about my care.. She loves what she does and it shows in her treatment towards her patients. It’s very hard to find good doctors in Vegas and she is truly one of them.

I fractured my arm 12 days ago I had to go to the ER for a procedure and then they told me to contact my primary care physician for a referral to see an orthopedic surgeon. Shirley Rodriguez is my primary care physician so I called her office they sent a referral she said she couldn't see me until after the end of July so of course I didn't get to see her but she sent the referral I called yesterday they told me they had not received the referral at the orthopedic surgeons. I called today and they told me they received a referral yesterday for my humor but it is not my humorous that's fractured it's my lower arm so when I told them that they said the doctor sent the wrong information they would not honor that referral and I have to call Dr Rodriguez back so I called Dr Rodriguez back to get a second referral meanwhile it says for every referral wait up to 72 hours my arm is healing incorrectly and I cannot get in to see anybody today when I asked the earliest I could see Dr Rodriguez I was told August 8 so tell me when you fracture your arm how you can go for two months without seeing your doctor as soon as I get this case resolved I will be switching PRIMARY CARE physicians. It says Dr Rodriguez is still taking new patients but if she can't see you for two months why is she still taking new patients?

This is the one physician's office where the staff is competent and friendly (a rare find these days). Dr. Rodriguez is also a great physician. I never feel rushed and she actually pays attention. This went on several times over weeks and I finally had to make 2 separate visits to the office to gets things taken care of. It took 3 months to get my issues resolved. My husband is looking for a new primary care physician, and Dr. Rodriguez came highly recommended. We were excited to establish care with her, but he has left multiple voicemails with the scheduling department and has not received a call back. Love Doctor Rodriguez and her nurses! Been struggling to get a follow-up appointment for weeks! Even when I called back, within 3 minutes, of getting a voicemail! It just rings or pushes you to voicemail. They do not call back. The patient portal is broken and doesn't let me make an appointment either! Need a follow-up appointment? Have to go in person to arrange it. Not easy when you work 10 hour shifts.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Rodriguez for about 10 years. The office just keeps getting worse. We love the Dr but trying to get anything done is an act of God. You can never get a person on the phone. I call and it says I am #1 in the queue and then I am #2 and next thing I know I am dumped into a VM. Nobody ever calls you back. The last time I was lucky enough to get through I complained and was told they would have the office manager call me....I am still waiting over a week later. They called in prescriptions for my husband to a Walgreens we have not used in years (mind you my husband has scripts he fills every 30-90 days and we have been picking up from the same spot for years). Then one of the scripts was not called in as requested. Now neither us or Walgreens can get a call back. It is also worth noting that the only reason my husband was able to get an appointment is because we made a special trip to the office to actually speak to someone.

I never feel rushed, or ignored. She’s very patient with the questions i have, & explains everything in such an easy way to understand.

I waited over a month for an orthopedic referral and now I’m waiting over two weeks for cardiology referral that they stated they put in the system but when time to schedule couldn’t be found. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!!! After being referred to a specialist which took a month!!!! They ended up faxing my records to the wrong number. Numerous calls to figure out what was going on. Talked to several people that said they were fixing it , last person I talked to had no record of anyone ever faxing anything!!! I ended up going in person to the office getting my records printed out and faxing them myself at fedex which cost me $40 !!! I feel like they should pay that back to me! SO frustrated !!! Horrible place! Doctor Shirley Rodriguez is fine, but her staff is just so incompetent. I don't think they can get any worse. Had an appointment for blood work. Show up that day just for the receptionist to tell me that they actually don't take my insurance they thought I still was on the old one even though we went through a whole ordeal over the insurance change. Than I have an emergency and need a appointment which they scheduled me in for for only to find out that they don't take my insurance! I'm so livid like why are you just telling me this now ? Knowing that it's an emergency and you didn't bother to say anything until I show up for the appointment today? And oh it's a $300 just for the appointment and because they know it's an emergency like I don't have time for all this. Highly Do Not Recommend this office. I love Dr. Rodriguez. She is one of the few caring physicians that actually takes her time and cares. I have been a patient for a few years and sadly I have decided to find a new doctor. She hands down has the worst front office staff I’ve ever experienced and is the reason for the low rating They don’t return your calls. Unbelievable call volumes that you are often connected to an answering service. Message after message, and the staff over the years have NEVER called me back. I had to sit on the phone for 50 minutes to get an appointment two months out. When calling to confirm your appointments, they don’t leave messages. I have struggled with this decision because I enjoy her as a doctor; however, the lack of good office staff can cost you business. I hope this is something that can be improved.

Wife had an allergy test conducted back in February. Covered by our insurance at 85/15 if the Dr. Office submitted the pre approval as they are suppose to as a provider in the network. Well they never did. What would probably had been a 30-40 dollar bill for us is now $498.30. Our insurance asked us to let her office know they just need to do a retro authorization to get it corrected and despite 10-12 phone calls later nothing has been done and they don’t seem to care. Now we are on a payment plan with quest to pay the bill. Worst office staff we have ever dealt with. Do not use this Dr. Office. I believe they don’t know what they are doing and don’t know how to fix the problem even though I told exactly what needs to happen.

I’ve been a patient since Jan 2020. Unfortunately, the last 3 times I saw Dr Rodriguez, I felt very very rushed and like I caught her on a bad day. When I asked any type of question, she would cut me off or would just completely ignore me. At one point when I mentioned another concern I had she said “you’re not here for that” which was mind blowing. She does not explain anything at all and does make you feel like you bothered her by going in. Definitely, no longer the doctor for me.

Her receptionist April is great though. Very patient and always seemed to be in a positive helpful mood.

Update 10/2021: After waiting to meet a new doctor, and then seeing a GI specialist, I’ve been suffering from GERD this whole time. Yet, Dr Rodriguez thought I had a heart issue. After that was clear, and I went back for the this gassy/chest pressure I was feeling. She couldn’t even recommend anything when I specifically asked her what I could do, what I could take, or if we should test for other things for this chest pressure/heartburn I was experiencing. She looked at me with a bothered face and said nothing, come back if your in pain. I knew what I was feeling was not normal for me. Thank God I went to someone else. I feel like she treated me like a hypochondriac. Will never see her again. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor.

My dad mom and brother see dr Shirley Rodriguez for the past months to a year she has consistently been calling and canceling my dad mom and brothers doctors appointment. Dr. Rodriguez was the best. She listened to all my concerns and answered all of my questions. She wasn’t like other doctors I seen in the past where I felt like I was being rushed through my visit. She was very nice and polite. The staff in the waiting room were also very friendly and helpful. My overall experience was really good I was hesitant to come do two other reviews but I do not regret giving them a chance. I will gladly continue coming here for any medical needs.

Had a test and just wanted the results....So I called the office and they told me I would have to come in for a one to one with the doctor.The office called me the day before my appointment and wanted me to do something with an app so she can call on the app I said can’t she just call me on the phone as I’m 76 years old I don’t know how to do all of the computer set ups...Nope!!I had back surgery couple of months before so I had to come in with my walker during the coronavirus Pandemic. The test was just a simple test...nothing dramatic and could’ve easily been done over the phone

It’s unfortunate that you can’t go to a PCP for something simple that would make a world of a difference in a patients life. Dr.rodriguez didn’t listen to me once and belittles you when you say anything about your body, and after not taking care of what I needed the first time she had me come the very next day to do something I could’ve done or what she could’ve done in the first day, I’d add details but I don’t want to get too personal into my diagnosis. She’s a young dr with hardly any bedside manner; don’t make the same mistake I did.

I was very specific when scheduling my appointment, during my initial appointment and during my follow-up appointment that I was there to complete my annual Wellness Check; even telling Dr Rodriguez multiple times that I'm not looking to address any concerns until I switched from my High Deductible to a PPO plan next year. Needless to say, I was shocked when I received a large bill for these visits. I called Dr Rodriguez's office several times, only to be told the office manager would call me back (never happened). Now I'm being threatened that my account will be sent to collections. So, I'm sure you're happy, I paid the bill, you got your money!!!

Just left from doing a employment physical and drug test. Everybody is polite and pleasant accept the women (Dr.) Or practitioner. She is very cold and rude. I cant stand that "alot" of dr.'s have absolutely no people skills and dont know how to talk to people. The review isn't the whole place just that doctor, brain didnt even want to hold on to her name. Like she walked and vibe went from high and happy uplifting atmosphere to prisoners . couldn't get out fast enough.

I’ve been trying to call and schedule an appt for the past week. The office placed me on hold twice for over 15 minutes and the final time I left a message and it’s been 2 days and they have not returned my call. I gave up trying.

My husband and I both saw Dr. Rodriguez recently for physicals and found her to be very knowledgeable and attentive. It’s nice to find a doctor that you feel comfortable with and one that you know actually takes the time to listen and provide quality medical attention. Also her staff from the receptionist to her nurse to her phlebotomist were all great not one of them was grumpy or rude all of them were professional and treated us kindly.

When you call Dr. Rodriguez’s office you actually get the receptionist in the office not a third party or automated system. LOVE that I don’t have to talk to 5 different people before I can get ahold of who I need to talk to. Short wait time in the waiting room. Dr. Rodriguez was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. I’ve only had one appointment with her but am excited to have her as my primary care doctor. In office lab is convenient.

My wife Patricia, has nothing but good things to say about Dr Rodriguez. Her staff is very helpful. The Dr. is caring and actually calls you at home to see how you are doing. We really like her and have recommended her to are friends.
