I am extremely disappointed with my experience dealing with Dr. Soyoung and the staff at Desert Radiology. Every time I call the office, nobody answers the phone and Iβm constantly told to leave a voicemail, yet I never receive a call back. The lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable, especially when patients are trying to get important medical information or assistance.
As a U.S. Veteran, I expected to be treated with respect and receive proper support, but instead Iβve felt ignored and brushed aside. I would not recommend wasting your time or insurance money at this location if you expect reliable customer service and professional patient care.

The staff and doctors were friendly. However, I left each appointment with no results and another 3months before the next visit. I have yet to get any reviews from any of the concerns and tests that I have taken. Xrays from 10 weeks ago still with no Dr. Review. And now nerve testing taken today and scheduled for review at the end of July. And no instruction for blood work or MRI. Just prescriptions to mask the issue. I am disappointed with the lack of communication

It was a good visit. Couple of things I noticed I was never offered water during my visit. Thankfully I brought my own. One other thing that i noticed there wasn't a table next to the bed to place your phone or water near you. I had to place my personal things on the floor next to the bed. I had a very hard time reaching them. I also did hear noise sometimes which woke me up. A white noise machine might help drown out any noise.

The biggest disappointment, I arrived for a follow up appointment unable to speak clearly struggling to walk and asking thru tears for help. I was met with front desk staff asking for my forty dollar copay as Iβm struggling to ask for help (a nurse). My motor skills off so bad I struggled to get my card out. After paying someone appeared to take me to a back and informed me doctor was running late. I was ask to get up on the table multiple times, donβt put an epileptic on a high table especially when theyβre possibly having a seizure. All I got was you may have anxiety, here is a RX. I had to have family come get me and take me to the ER, god forbid I was having a stroke. I am now undergoing a long list of testing as itβs not stopped. This place is the biggest waste of time and money. Never an answer just another appointment and copay.

Talked to 2 different staff members asking to talk to the medical assistant. I need to adjust my current medication to decrease my foot pain. STILL WAITING FOR A CALL BACK 48 HOURS LATER. Iβm the only child and making the decision to move my mother from Maui to Las Vegas almost 7 years ago has been physically and emotionally exhausting. Marites really listened to my concerns, I try as much as possibly to be helpful to not only my closest friends but also to my family. I take in the weight so they donβt have to. Iβm really hoping the doctors can find an answer as to why my mother behaves the way she does, she is verbally abusive and manipulating. Itβs sad to say but I have no good memory to compare this behavior to, this is normal behavior for me just 10x worse maybe because she is now older ?? I just really need help with this and hope I can find some answers to my questions.

I visited this place last year and the Doctor kept trying to push meds on me after I asked to FIRST be treated with lifestyle changes and only if the problem persists would I do meds. She prescribed meds anyway and then I had to fight to keep from being charged. And now I'm switching to a new neurologist. Guess what? I had to call not once... Not twice but 6x! I left 4 voice mails. Whoever Amy is that handles patient records you need to learn to answer your voicemail or your phone in general. You people have the worst customer service. Who only uses fax? People this is 2026 get secure email, get DosUSign, get a patient portal. Figure it out.

Very poor communication and follow-up.
I was given a Quest lab order with no clear explanation, and when I later called to ask whether fasting was required, no one answered. After leaving a voicemail, I eventually got a callback, but they still could not answer the question and told me to ask Quest. Quest then told me to confirm with the doctorβs office. That kind of runaround is unacceptable.
The MRI referral was also mishandled. I scheduled with SimonMed, only to find out later that it was out of network with my insurance. I called again, left another voicemail, and got no response. I also sent a portal message and received no reply.
Patients should not have to chase basic answers and clean up avoidable referral problems themselves.

On this visit we saw Michelle NP to receive the results of my husband's brain scan. A short visit. We found her to be quite curt, she almost totally ignored my husband as she spoke to me about his diagnosis. No real suggestions: just nutrition, exercise, don't fall down, ... she actually said that he'll eventually be like a baby again!
Not very caring or helpful.
Our earlier visits to other NPs at this office were quite different, much better.

I had an appointment with Dr. Judith Yu today. My son n i both thought the wait would be extended so we came prepared with lunch for him to eat while I awaits for my visit. However the whole entire process from arrival.to check-in, to the actual visit and then checkout was faster than we had anticipated. The staff were very friendly. The office were big, clean and very airy. Not congested like most doctors offices. Dr. Judith personally was very attentive and asking me many questions to get to know more in depth about my condition. I felt very appreciated and that my visit were well taken care of. TLDR: Care was subpar, office was disorganized, absolute nightmare trying to get records from them to establish new Neuro.
My Neuro for migraines retired, and I chose this place because the location was more convenient. What followed was an absolute mess.
At one appointment I followed the instructions on the large sign in the window (wait until called forward) and they got upset and snapped at me for not stepping up to the window. Hardly a big deal, but in general the office was never kind of overly helpful. More than once I had to wait for them to stop gossiping to help me.
My Neuro required me to get an MRI, despite having an established history, several prior MRIs available and detailed medical records at her disposal. I wasted hundreds, not to mention my time, on a pointless MRI. She glanced at it, said there was nothing there, and sent over my refill. No duh. My migraines are well documented and well controlled, and have been for years.
At all of my appointments, my Neuro scarcely knew my name and spent less than 5-10 minutes with me.
Most of these were not worth mentioning at the time, but it paints a picture, and I shouldnβt be surprised at what happened when I left. I moved and it took SIX MONTHS to get my records. I called repeatedly to get a referral and my records. They would say they were submitting, and to give them time to process. Then I have to give time for the new office to process. 1-2 weeks each and you can see how this adds up. Finally last month, I ask to send everything to me. Clearly trying to send directly to my new neurologist is not working, I will hand deliver. Then, they tell me they wonβt send a referral, at all. I ask what happened to all the other times I requested, they donβt know. I was told 3 separate times my records had been mailed, and never got it. I asked for a continuation of care letter, and even that was sparse at best. When I finally got my records (after paying to get them faxed because this has taken so long that my preventative meds were at risk) it was sent postage due! Seriously, avoid this office. They are not invested in your care and the office is a mess.

Doctor did not amply cover what to expect ahead of time with EMG and NCS tests. Dr.Santos Yu was unable to competently answer my questions with results of previous tests taken May 2022 so he simply rushed out of the appointment and stated questions can be addressed during our next scheduled visit 2 months out to b March 19, 2026. Further, we are unable to make earlier an earlier appt which is important considering patient has been in and out of pain since mid October of 2025.

My husband and I tried calling the clinic multiple times, and it has been more than 24 hours without a response. My husband was experiencing rashes from the prescribed medication, which made the situation concerning. Although a medical assistant called once and said they would ask the doctor and get back to us within the day, no one ever followed up. There was a clear lack of urgency and concern for patient care. This was extremely frustrating, especially when you trust a clinic to prioritize the well-being of its patients.

Do not leave their office unless you have absolutely everything taken care of, prescriptions, questions, whatever . Trying to get in contact with them to resolve an issue youβll be sent to a voicemail and you wonβt get called back until a week later and youβll play phone tag forever with them.

Dr S.Yu,Michelle Fernandez pa & staff are nice and friendly,wait times are quick after checkin in, i just was a bit unhappy that part of my test results,had to be found at my follow up appointment but then tgey found them but M.Fernandez said oh i cant give them to you tho cause they hadnt been signed off on yet, so now i haved to wait until march 4th 2026 to get them, that was the soonest they had availableβ¦why sho IU of I haved to wait to that long when it was their mistake of not having my results ready for my follow up test results appointment. Smh Iβm still unhappyβ¦..

I recommend Dr Zhang and the Neurology Center of Nevada. This was my first appointment. Dr Zhang was well prepared, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. A total professional. I'll add, the office personnel had me in and out in no time. When can a patient say that!

Iβve been emailing and calling several times. Iβm pregnant with migraines and was referred because my OB was concerned. The appointment was rushed I could hear them outside the door saying I was the last one of the day. I felt dismissed and when she ordered me further testing they couldnβt get me in to actually go over results until my due date. Itβs like if my OB is concerned why would I come back when my baby is already about to be born. They also messed up my accommodation letter and I have yet to get a call back about getting it fixed. It does not feel like this place cares about their patients.
