I went to Smile Mas for three years. I had several experiences of being overcharged beyond what my insurance said was my responsibility. several times I was contacted after a visit and told the dentist had reviewed my chart and found some other procedure I needed. the final straw was when I went in for a routine cleaning in January and was charged $125 for 50%. I found out that they had been calling my cleanings periodontal maintenance and that my insurance had changed to only covering 50%. But the insurance said my patient responsibility should have only been 49.50. I have since switched to a new dentist who said my teeth and gums are great and there is no need for periodontal maintenance, I probably didn't need the deep cleaning and that, in fact, they could have caused damage by digging under my gums.

I had a great experience at Smile Mas Dental! I've been in a few times now for various procedures. The entire office is friendly, organized, and welcoming. The staff is knowledgeable, and everything was explained clearly, which made the whole visit feel easy and stress-free.
Dr. St. Laurent especially has been an excellent dentist during all my visits. He's thorough, patient, and has a great chairside manner. He takes his time, checks in throughout the procedure, and genuinely wants to make sure you're comfortable. I've always appreciated how honest he is about treatment options, and he does everything he can to make the experience as pain-free as possible.
It's obvious that he really cares about his patients and takes pride in his work. Which I have found is hard to find when looking for a dentist.
If you're looking for a dentist who is skilled, compassionate, and makes you feel at ease, I would absolutely recommend Dr. St. Laurent and the team at Smile Mas Dental!

Not only did I not even feel the injection of novacanen but I barely felt anything throughout the procedure, I guess I should blame the novacane. Dr. Ben Abrahams told my mother she needed 5 root canals, that would cost over $4000+ (with insurance). She let him do two root canals, that were done rather abrasively; My mom was in a tremendous amount of pain and wasn’t given much care for it. She was in pain for weeks and had to keep going back and paying more each time. I felt heartbroken at the financial LOSS and mistreatment of my mother, a patient this office claimed to care about. We got a 2nd opinion elsewhere come to find out there are no further cavities… So a further 5 root canals huh? PLEASE be careful and always get a second opinion if something doesn’t feel right to you! This place unfortunately charged my mother extra for treatments she didn’t need. My mother cried for weeks. DR BEN.

When I went in for my appointment again Ella was helpful and then Brittany came out and got me, did all my xrays, also gave me a blanket cause I was cold, she was so friendly and we had great conversations. Had an appointment for a cleaning. Office wanted to charge for X-rays which I had taken six months earlier. Told them I didn’t need X-rays as they were unnecessary for this cleaning. Was told I could for go the C-rays and still get the cleaning. Signed paperwork. Directed to the back. Dentist refused to see me since I didn’t have X-rays done.
Called my previous dentists in Florida and Virginia and they relayed sounded like a scam as X-rays are only done once a year or sometimes longer depending on the patient’s condition. Recommended other dentist in area. Unsure why a dentist cannot provide service without cost to the patients. Noticed this office appears to pressure sale services that may not be required.

Genuinely wish I could give more than 5 stars. A few years ago I got some cosmetic work done on a tooth I was self conscious about. A week or so ago I woke up and had chipped that bonding in my sleep. I saw some before and afters that Smile Mas Dental has done and chose to go there to get it fixed. Immediately upon entering the receptionist was so warm, welcoming, and sweet. Grettell, a fantastic hygienist promptly got me and we headed back. She was so nice and easy to talk to. I feel like she took the time to listen and know my concerns and goals with this appointment. Dr. Cole then came in and examined my x-rays and teeth. He was absolutely amazing. He was super informative about the process of what he was doing step by step. His work completely exceeded my expectations. I WISH I had gone to him the first time I had gotten my bonding done. His work was exactly if not better than what I thought my smile was capable of. Grettell and Dr. Cole were so amazing; always making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. The best dentist I've ever been to and I do not like dentist but these guys Dr.Cole,ella,marlene,Maria and Felicia everyone made me feel comfortable. If you want your smile back go to Smile Mas Dental. I called another dentist Monday no answer and they never called me back. Called Smile Mas tuesday morning explained that I had a cracked or broken tooth and they got me in same day 11 am. Again I DO NOT LIKE THE dentist. Everyone and I mean everyone was nice. The energy was good. The vibe was nice, Dr. Cole and I forget his assistance name when they were pulling my tooth, they were jamming to the music. When calling, it was very easy to get connected to front desk.
Upon arrival, I was met with friendly, upbeat receptionists!
A very modern dentist's office. I was impressed with the newer technology and big TVs for the patients.
Dr. Cole looks you in eye, and throughly explains the situation. He's not rushed, one bit. I thought I had some decay with a back tooth (pain when chewing) but Dr. Cole determined it was a raised area of an existing filling causing the pain. He took his time and "filed" it down. Now the bite is more even. Time will tell, but I feel he solved the issue.

UPDATE 11/11/25: The new dentist who took over this practice is kind, caring and professional. They look after their patients and care about their reputation in the community. The previous review is over 10 years old from when it was ran by someone else.

I wouldn't take my daughter here again. I took her in for a annual cleaning/exam. They discovered she had 2 surface cavities on her back molars. I called back a couple times to schedule a time to bring her back in to have them filled and the receptionist, who wasn't very friendly or professional during the initial visit, said she'd called back and never did. Fast forward 8 months, they call and leave a message that my daughter's PAR was approved. I didn't totally fault them for the time it took to get the PAR approved (I'm assuming different practices may have different turn around times). What I do fault them for is the lack in communication over the 8 month period. Nevertheless, I took her back. The dentist would not let me come back with her. I found that odd. I had been going back with my daughter for 5 years. She kept assuring me that the children do better this way and I relented. When she was finished my daughter had silver fillings! I was shocked and the dentist could tell. She explained that she thought they were better for a number of reasons. My problem is, this conversation should have happened with me BEFORE she put them in, as it was my choice to make. I naturally assumed she'd put in white fillings because my daughter already had some (which she knew). My daughter just mentioned the other day that the dentist gave her the option. This pissed me off. My daughter was 7. I just got a nice little marketing email from this place and the email address listed in the email is extremely unprofessional.

Excellent Clinical Work, Significant Management Failure
My initial experience with this office in August, after breaking my bottom denture, was overwhelmingly positive. The entire staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the dentist was professional. The technical work itself is also superb: I received my new full set of dentures on October 23rd, and I am very pleased with the high quality of the final product so far.

However, the operational side of the practice showed a severe lack of organization and follow-through, creating significant frustration that was entirely outside of my control.

I had my first scheduled wax fitting appointment on October 11th. I arrived, but the dentures were not ready and were still in the wax stage, forcing an immediate reschedule to October 20th. This second date was personally significant, as it was my daughter's 48th birthday, and I was genuinely excited to attend her dinner, finally able to smile and eat comfortably. Despite the prior delays, the dentures were still in the wax stage on the 20th, forcing yet another reschedule.

In response to my obvious disappointment over these back-to-back delays, a second dentist offered a gesture of compensation: a gift card for my daughter and me to Chapalas, our favorite Mexican restaurant. I appreciated this spontaneous offer as a way to acknowledge the office's scheduling failures.

I received the beautiful, high-quality dentures on October 23rd as promised. But the compensatory gift card was never mentioned or provided.

I want to be perfectly clear: I do not fault the technical skill or the friendliness of the staff, which are top tier. But it is deeply unprofessional to make a specific, explicit promise to compensate a patient for an error that was solely the practice’s responsibility, and then fail to deliver on that promise. Offering a gesture and then ignoring it feels like nothing more than "dangling a carrot" to diffuse a customer service issue, which is unacceptable business practice.

My review is a split assessment: Five stars for dental work and staff kindness; one star for management integrity and follow-through. The integrity of a business is paramount.
I've since been given the card promised, they were delayed. 5 Stars to ALL at Smile Màs Dental. They are a business of integrity!
