My son did have a cavity and there happened to be a last minute cancellation so we were able to get it filled the next day. 10/10 recommend

We love Smile Reef!! My children have been patients of theirs for about 8 years. We go to the Camino Al Norte office now (closer to home) and it’s amazing! It is so clean and cute! The staff is always so welcoming and willing to help with any questions I have or my children have. My children are not afraid of the dentist because Dr. Jensen and his staff are awesome! I’ve seen a couple dentist at this location all are seriously the best! Would recommend to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist!

From the day I called for an appointment for my daughter, I have nothing but great things to say about this office. They were able to get me in as a new patient a week out. Everything is super easy, did my paperwork thru a text link, they even reached out to offer me an earlier appointment due to a cancellation. On the day of the appointment, everything was super smooth. Being my daughter's first dentist appointment ever, she was a little nervous, but everybody involved from the girls at the front desk, to x-rays, to cleaning to the final check by Dr. Jensen, including the office itself, made my daughter leave the office relieved and with a smile.

I just got my teeth cleaned today and it was actually fun! Everyone there is super nice and they make you feel really comfortable, even if you're a little nervous (I was at first). The best part? They had Disney movies playing while I was getting my cleaning! I got to watch Coco and it made the time go by so fast.
This place feels really cool and calm, not scary like some people think dentists are. They talked to me like a real person, explained what they were doing, and even gave me a free tooth brush and tooth paste with a cool slime.
I give them 5 stars because they made my teeth shiny and made me smile the whole time too 😄

Had a terrible time here! Brought my special ed son for a routine checkup , all the front desk ladies were very rude and stuck up. they all made me feel beneath them as they responded to every question i had with attitude. the male doctor i had was very rough with my son and yelled at him a few times , i recommend no one to bring their child here if they care about them . Once again i will not be returning to this establishment after the terrible doctor and the extremely rude front desk ladies.

My son had an accident at school that unfortunately caused his front tooth to be chipped in half. I called Smile Reef for a last minute appointment and they were able to see my son within the hour! I switched over to this doctors office about a year ago, we have seen maybe 2-3 doctors in this office. Lately we’ve had Dr.Audrey and I cannot express enough how much we enjoy having her as my children dentist. She is always happy and explains in detail everything that is going on. She is very happy to answer all of your questions. I really pray she stays here a bit longer because I wouldn’t want to see anyone else!

The staff outside of the receptionist is amazing, I'd give them 5 stars if it wasn't for her. The way she spoke to me and my grandson when he was asking for a particular toy that he was told he could get by the friendly hygienist, she said something inappropriate then made a face.. Mind you is on the spectrum, I would think the receptionist would behave better than that towards any child. You get paid to be nice and cater to kids and their parents/grandparents, the receptionist has horrible bedside manner. Not the face you want for your business

I’ve been to this location a total of three times. Each time the doctor was very nice and knowledgeable. Also gave good tips about better oral care for my daughter. If you are just looking for an experienced doctor to work on your child, this is the place. But on the other hand, for this to be a children’s dentist office, there is no compassion or empathy, especially with the receptionist. My daughter was not feeling well and this was conveyed to the receptionist the day before her surgery. She still insisted on bringing my daughter for treatment even though she had to be heavily sedated. The next morning was rough getting her to the appointment as she had trouble breathing due to asthma and she had beginning symptoms of a cold. If you have kids obviously, you know the struggles. We were running late to the appointment and spoke to the receptionist that morning as well to let her know. Instead of accommodating us and rescheduling my daughter to a different day as she was not feeling well, I was charged for being late and then was told she would have not been seen anyways due to not being able to be sedated with her breathing problems. No one suggested a better way to go about the issue, just wanted an extra $55 from me. Also was told only the doctor can determine if it’s safe for treatment and I, as a concerned mother, was not able to determine if I felt it was safe or comfortable. I am grateful that the doctor is trustworthy with his experience, but the customer service definitely needs to be improved. ESPECIALLY FOR A CHILDREN'S DENTIST OFFICE. First impressions are a lot, especially when it comes to my child.

So far its been pretty professional. The staff is nice I havent had any trouble with receptionist yet. I just REALLY have to complain about the fact that I git a 2pm appointment for my kids but was not advised that they go to lunch, im guessing from 1 -2pm so, you have to wait in the 120 degree summer heat in your car until they open the doors at 2. Ive worked in a medical office I get it every office is different with how they handle coming back from lunch. I just wouldve like to be notified becuz two kids in a car with barely working AC becuz of how hot it is outside is not fun and sorta distressful for my aon with autisim.

This dentist office is amazing, I took my daughter for the first time and we loved it, the place is very clean, it has a fish tank, beautiful waiting area with a big sofa, they have TVs with cartoons on top so the kids can see it while laying down, the doctors and all the staff are very nice. The kids get to choose a toy and a sticker, I’m not sure if it’s only for first timers. My daughter is a toddler but she didn’t have trouble laying down to get her teeth cleaned. And the best thing for me is that it is only 7 minutes away from my house.

The reason we chose smile reef was due to reputation according to online reviews and it being described as most kid friendly... the office is kid friendly in aesthetic, very clean and decoration is nice as well as open dental rooms. However, although staff was not rude, they weren't exactly friendly either. This was my daughter's first dental checkup, I was expecting a warm welcoming staff that makes kids comfortable. Instead it was very impersonal, no one smiled, and we left feeling like we needed a second opinion and better explanation without judgement towards us, the parents. The personal experience felt like an adult visit as opposed to a kid visit.

Terrible! I didn’t feel like any of the staff or dentist was friendly at all. I took my 3 girls in for a first apt and they needed work done. Our insurance doesn’t cover sedation so I asked the dentist if she would try with just the laughing gas. They front office called me back to say the dentist wouldn’t even try because my kids were crying for the apt and x-rays! Lies!! They never cried or were even upset. I have 1 kid that is nervous for the dentist but she didn’t even make a big fuss for the apt. I’m frustrated that they won’t even try with the laughing gas which is already $125 but would do the oral sedation for $270! Of course they want all the money and we’re not sympathetic about it at all. I feel like they don’t care about their patients-just want everyone in and out as fast as possible.

Would not recommend if you want your young child’s dentist experience to be pleasant. It was my daughters first time at this office. Naturally, as a 3 year old, she was very hesitant and shy. The staff seemed more in a hurry to get her appointment done at the expense of her feeling safe and comfortable. The staff rushed her, would not let me help get her set up for the X rays (she had to walk down a hallway with strangers to get them done). They were impatient with her, and the dentist didn’t really seem too good with kids either and just rushed in and out and didn’t even introduce himself. Will not be going back here. I thought as a pediatric dentistry they would be competent and friendly around kids.

Took my daughter in for a cleaning and felt a little rushed by the staff. I was impressed with their protocol for covid. The cleaning went well however, when the doctor came in he rushed and was not warm or friendly. He did not introduce himself and said nothing to my daughter. He literally went right to the problems and how much money was needed came shortly after with an emphasis on using anesthesia on my 4 year old. Of course that is concerning to any parent...but there was no real desire to talk to me about it until I requested more information after he quickly left. Needless to say I trust my instincts and feel that this doctor is not good with children and I would not feel comfortable having him work on my child. Money was the most important issue with this office and not my child's well being. I would not recommend this office and we will not be returning.

Whoever answered the phone around 12:10pm on January 29th, 2024 that’s a receptionist is the absolute worst. Why is she there? I don’t know what her problem is but she needs to fix it before answering the phone. She was condescending and talking over me the entire call instead of answering my questions and listening first. In order to be a receptionist you need to know how to be quiet and listen for a bit before interjecting and cutting people off. This establishment needs to hire better people that actually know how to listen and understand questions without talking over and interrupting customers on the phone. I almost started to argue with her and I decided to just hang up instead. I’ve been coming here with my kids since 2019 and have never had problems. After my kids are done with their next routine appointments we’re leaving and will be done with this place.

So call and ask what to expect (we asked few weeks ago and wasn't told anything). When scheduling they should let patients and parents know what to expect due to current circumstances. 2 stars bcuz most associates at front and all in back area were good with my kids. This review is for parents of young children that have compromised teeth health that may require treatment. I was referred to them last year for cavity treatment. They indicated the decay we had been referred for wasnt a big deal and that we would just watch the cavities. Fast forward to May 2023, they again had a regular visit. There weren't any points of concern pointed out to me. However, November my daughter's cavity count doubled; from 4 to 8. Why wasn't I advised in May to keep an eye on her molars especially, since they are impacting (close to each other) and required flossing? Why wasn't I recommended to change to sugar free diet, milk and beverages which could've prevented this. These recommendations were crucial for my daughter's oral health. At the end of our visit I decided to move forward with scheduling the (2) cavity treatment they recommended UNTIL I had to interact with the treatment coordinator. She was extremely passive aggressive, just bad attitude the entire time. Next day I called becuase I changed my mind on the plan of treatment, wanted to opt to put my daughter full under. They agreed and recommended filling all 8 cavities- I agreed happily. 45 minutes later I went to the office todo paperwork and by then, the same treatment coordinator informs me that now the doctor has reviewed the xrays a 2nd time and is recommending crowns. That was a redflag for me. "Why the abrupt change in the recommended treatment?" I asked. I had a chance to discuss this with the doctor, ultimately he agreed some of the cavities did not warrant crowns. At this point their credibility with me had been compromised. I felt that they weren't being transparent. The treatment coordinator did a poor job in all our interactions with me and always accompanied by poor attitude. The doctor did his best to explain why crowns were recommended but at this point it was too late because doubt had been set in me. The treatment coordinator, since the day before, seemed extremely passive aggressive and her demeanor provided no empathy. As mom, I feel my kids anxiety and try to save them from it. She did extremely poor at reassuring me the treatment was necessary. I am not a person that freely agrees and accepts just anything, especially in matters with my children. I was asking probing questions and she seemed bothered. Day 1, I left after interacting with her thinking, "maybe she had a bad day." But after all 3, interactions- and she not once changed her attitude I figured she was just not qualified to do her job. Not sure what bothered her if it was the fact that I was challenging her to reassure me I was doing right by my daughter and in my daughters best interest. Ultimately I got a 2nd opinion and it turns out my daughter doesnt need crowns or even fills. These are baby teeth that will fall out and will continue on watch so long as there's no pain or discomfort. Parents: ASK PROBING QUESTIONS WHEN IT COMES TO RECOMMENDED COURSE OF TREATMENT and after general visits. Ask if there are points of concern or if your child is high risk of developing something that will in the future require serious treatment. Dont be discouraged or intimidated by someones bad attitude and demeanor. You're your childs best advocate. ASK all the questions until you feel comfortable, here or anywhere, moving forward as needed. Luckily for me this time, I only lost the fee paid for the oral meds. I WOULD not return by choice. I would only return if it was surgically necessary and they're my only option.

Took my 2yr old here for her very first apt. The front room when walking in was nice and cozy kid friendly, when called to the back the dental room was not, no color no toys and the lady whom spoke with us proceeded to unwrap tools and put her mask on without introducing herself to my child or taking a moment to speak to my child my daughter was scared of the mask and was not comfortable. The DR. Came in and he proceeded to tell myself and my husband this is normal for 2yr olds and they just HOLD THEM DOWN and hold their mouth open to get it done. I firmly stated no that will not be my child’s first experience and told the Dr. we will reschedule before leaving i asked the Dr is there anything we parents should be looking out for or aware to keep an eye on, his answer was no i can’t explain that.
We will not be returning and do not recommend them.

Honestly I have never felt so excited for any doctors or dentist office, but when I walked into smile reef, I felt a wonderful vibe from the staff and both doctors were amazing with my 4 Little munchkins. Very kid friendly and understanding. I highly recommend taking your children here. My kids were all taken care of well and I even got to go back to back appointments if dental work was needed. The best part is that they saw all 4 kids in 1 day. I loved that they were quick and I didn’t have to wait long at all. My kids love it here and I personally love it for them. I have liberty Medicaid and they accepted it. Wonderful place and wonderful staff!! Good job smile reef!!

Extremely rude staff and doctor! We were very rushed! My son was very nervous to have a tooth pulled and got a bit upset when they were rushing to get started! The doctor came in and didn’t say anything except telling my son to calm down and then before he quickly left after yanking his tooth out, he said “maybe if he had calmed down like I said it wouldn’t have been so bad” and he walked out and the nurse requested payment right then and there! Our experience with the North office and oral sedation was stressful for me and my child. I was allowed to walk in the room for a few minutes but then they asked to wait in the lobby. "We will come get you if your child needs you" which they did not. I could hear my child cry in pain from the lobby. Also, after they are done, i was given a slip that says if any problems or questions call us after hrs it will go to the doctor's cell
I ended up calling after hours and left voicemail but it was returned until the next morning by the office not by dr. Lamb. Overall, if your child doesn't complain of pain before the surgery don't have them work on your kids. They will experience pain even during sedation. Now my child is doing okay but will have dental anxiety from now on.

My son missed an appointment in 2019. Apparently, there's a 25 dollar rescheduling fee and I'm 100 percent sure I never got a reminder call nor an email. After moving I wasnt even gonna change my children's dentist, I loved where we went and had been there for years with 6 kids! Well, as often happens, one of the boys had pain and because it was a family holiday I needed to find a place ASAP! Shockingly, I had a hard time finding a provider in my insurance in my area. Luckily, Smile Reef was open, took my insurance and close to the house! They got us right in and it turns out it was just a loose tooth.... Phew! Fast forward a month or so and my youngest son comes to me crying and wincing in pain, ahhhhhh I look and can see a large cavity between two teeth, my poor baby! So again I high tail it to Smile Reef to save my sweet boy! They got us in that gotday and us rescheduled for a crown. I had previously had a bad experience while my middle son had dental work done years ago in Henderson but the staff at Smile Reef made my son and I feel relaxed and safe in their care! Nhikko came out with good reviews as well! I scheduled the rest of our herd this afternoon, they have a beautiful staff and equally magnificent top of the line facility! So needless to say they get 5 stars from this busy Mom! Thanks so much Dr Jensen, great work! 🏆🏆🏆

All three of my kids love the dentist! My youngest is 2, she's mute/nonverbal, my oldest is 9 and has ADHD and is Autistic, and they make them so comfortable and stress free when they're getting checkups!! Couldn't ask for better hygienists or dentists!!

When I took my son (who is 3) to his FIRST dentist visit it did not go well at all. Firstly I understand that they have ways to work and talk to the patients / children, but in my opinion you might want to ease into the child’s mouth and not force your way in. The nurse was nice who did his X-rays and attempted his cleaning. He is very sensitive with his gag reflexes so he did begin to gag to the point of throwing up. So there went the cleaning, when the dr came in to look at his teeth he didn’t introduce himself, he didn’t try to even talk to my son. He went right in . In the end he said “we’re going to have to give him anesthesia in order to work” I asked if there is any other option because I wasn’t comfortable going straight to having my son knocked out , and he said no. Then my next question was “can I stay in the room with him” and he LAUGHED IN MY FACE & then told me “what for? Are you a nurse” and continued laughing. At that point I knew for a fact I would NEVER return. Very unprofessional, and he made me very very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone , ever.

This place is Cute, but honestly it took me longer to drive there (15mins) then it did for them to get us in and quickly send us out. Not impressed! My (3yr) sons gums were very swollen and red so I took him for his First dentist appointment. I was glad they could get us in same day as I called, but thought it was a little weird that they scheduled us at 4:30 and they close at 5. But the dentist. Dr. Lamb, was nice but he took one look at my son's gums,(and I Do mean ONE Quick look) said its this, there isnt anything we can do about it, you just have to ride it out and was GONE (actually went home for the day) before I could even ask Any questions or really say Anything at all! I spent the next 5-10mins finishing filling out paperwork and was sent on our way. Definitely would Not recommend and will Not be coming back!

They have excellent care for your child! caring and confident! My baby had his first visit and he never cried once the xray was easy to do she stayed right next to him the whole time encouraging him and when the drill started to clean his teeth he flinch at first from the noise and she said here you go taste this! im going to brush your teeth really good now ok? And went for it as he watch tv on the ceiling.. I mean it was a great first visit. even when they put the spacers in. he was goin to get upset and the doctor said ok! lets floss and quickly and gently pushed them down before he could think about it, it was over! And he was smiling he thought he had mouth jewelry lol they are blue. "Super cool mom" he said i recommend here for all ages he was greeted by a really big fish tank with fish like Dory and Nemo in it! And was sent out with a job well done toy and sticker very nice!! Worst children’s dentist!!! Took X-rays of my daughters teeth and spent 2 seconds looking at them. Said she had 10 cavities and wanted to have her put to sleep in order to fill them. Dentists have no patience if your child is nervous about being seen! If I could give them 0 stars I would!

My 2 year old cracked his front tooth and was in extreme pain, crying all night. They refused to see him because they had no openings, even for emergencies.
