I've broken many bones, some of them twice. Some of the bones didn't always heal properly, but then again I hadn't ever gone to Physical Therapy. In 2020 I broke My right shoulder and thought I would NEVER have Full Mobility based on My Track Record.
It was then I began FAITHFULLY FOLLOWING the instructions of Smith Physical Therapy Partners. Not only do I have Full Mobility in My right shoulder, I went to Smiths Therapy Partners for Neuropathy in My Spine and now for a Spiral Fracture in my left arm. I was referred back to physical therapy by my PCP after a spinal fusion that occurred 4 years earlier. After paying a $50 co-pay for an evaluation I was told that I needed clearance from my surgeon to continue with the therapy sessions. After meeting with my surgeon about 3 weeks later, he cleared me and actually wanted me to go, too. I called to schedule PT and was told that they had not received any clearance from my surgeon. I called my surgeons office and was told that they faxed and also spoke to someone about the clearance. I kept calling to schedule my sessions, but there were no answers or returned calls from a voicemail. After a couple of more weeks my surgeon's office called and asked if I had been going to PT. Called twice more and finally got through. They acknowledged that they got the forms but they had to speak to the therapist that initially evaluated me. They don't know, but I could hear her speaking to the receptionist. She kept asking for things in a way that made me feel like she was trying to push me further down for therapy. "Did he get a CT scan?". Yes. "Did he see the surgeon for the results yet?". No. I saw them for the x-ray results, but CT was scheduled for two weeks from then. She then wanted to push me off until after that. I explained that I have been in pain and needing to start PT and that all she had asked for was clearance from my surgeon, which they now had. The next day I got a call saying that the supervisor would work with me but I had to come in and do ANOTHER evaluation since the original therapist had now closed my case. I explained that it didn't seem fair that I would then end up paying $100 for TWO evaluations when the bad service was on their end. The receptionist kept saying, yeah but either way you would have to pay that. UMMMMMM. NO. Had I had a competent, caring therapist who follows through with what she asks of her patients to begin with I would only need ONE evaluation instead of TWO. Seems like the wrong type of profession to be in if you are working with people who are hurt, in pain, and in need of human compassion.

The team here is awesome. I was referred here to help with pain I was experiencing in my upper back. On my first visit, I waited for them to verify what my copay would be. After that wait ... I agreed and had my therapy. Four months after I completed all of my therapies, I received a bill for double what I had already paid! Why make me wait to verify, and why wait four months after the completion of my visits? All the exercise machines and tables are all in one big room, and are clean and sanitized often. The staff speaks English and Spanish.
