Dr. Steven Garhardt, DDS is absolutely amazing at what he does.

I went in today to have a repair done on one of my upper back teeth (the molar, I believe), which is probably one of the worst places to have dental work done. I’m not going to lie—I had been stressing about this procedure all weekend.

But when I tell you that the only pain I felt was the initial numbing injection, I’m not kidding.

The entire procedure was so smooth and comfortable that when it was over, I honestly thought, “Wait…what just happened? Did I really just go to the dentist?”

Dr. Garhardt took what I had built up in my mind as a scary situation and turned it into a “WOW” moment. His gentle touch, precision, and attention to detail made all the difference.

It’s not often that you leave a dental appointment actually impressed by how easy the experience was, but that’s exactly what happened today.

Thank you, Dr. Garhardt, for the gentle touch, the precision, and the amazing work. I truly appreciate it!

If you’re someone who gets nervous about dental work, I can honestly say: this is the kind of dentist you want taking care of you.

After years in the dental wasteland of unnecessary work, inadequate crowns, and money motivated "care," Dr Garhardt was recommended as an honest capable provider. That recommendation was the best thing that happened to me. Dr Garhardt is absolutely the best. He corrected my failing dental work and restored my trust in dentists, at least one of them. Dr. Garhardt has been my dentist for about 15 years. First of all when you walk through the door you are greeted by the office staff. who are kind and caring. Usually you are not sitting there long for your appointment. They bring you back right away at your scheduled time. Chris went over the payment plan in detail with me so there were no surprises.. Over the years I was always happy with my cleanings. They were gentle and looked great after they were done. However, when I hit 60 my teeth did not look good anymore and I tried to hide them. Dr. Garhardt had promised me that I would have my teeth until I retired. Then we talked about how I could get that smile back. He gave me different ideas but he pushed for the best option for me. Dr. Garhart and his assistant, Mary worked very hard together and gave me beautiful dentures while carefully comparing them to my younger teeth. They were perfect, even my kids thought I had just whitened my teeth and my friends thought they were either veneers or implants. But I let them think what they want. I still love my beautiful smile!!! Thank you!!!!!

My husband & I have been a patient of Dr. Garhardt for a very long time. His front office staff are always very friendly & very knowledgeable regarding scheduling & insurance. This office is terrible, the front desk girls lied saying they called me for my appointment when they never did, they quoted me one price and then it changed when I got there, I had to get my shift covered at work so I could even come here and then they told me they couldn’t get me in at all after I spent all day arranging things to get to the office. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, the must get cleaned once a year, the dentist was rude and dismissive, do not book with this awful practice. Zero customer service, no cleanliness and even worse they have no clue whats going on

The Doctor seems to be a reasonably competent practitioner. However, it appears he has never seen a tooth that he doesn’t want to crown or to extract and replace with an implant, which takes other less expensive treatment options off the table. Especially in my case as an 80+ y.o. He also appears to be always in a hurry which negatively affects his patient communications. The bottom line here is that income generation is of paramount importance in this practice to the detriment of other considerations. I am unable to recommend this office.

I have been going to Dr Garhardt for years. He is the best Dentist there is. Kind, great integrity, he’s amazing!! Did not have the greatest experience here. I went in for a dental cleaning and was told the recommended treatment. I went to get a second opinion. The impression I received was that they care more about the money than patients. Did not feel as though there was much care, compassion, or education in their approach to dentistry. I had forgotten about this place until a friend mentioned they go here and their frustrations with the front desk. They cancel your appointment if you don't answer their calls to confirm it. This seems reasonable except they don't tell you this is their policy. They ought to since it's not a common policy for most medical offices.

My phone was not receiving some calls at random due to an issue with the sim card. It was old so at that point, I was waiting for my contract to end the following month instead of replacing it. Had they told me their policy, I would have marked it in my calendar to call them.

I requested the day off at work and was ready to go. I called to make sure I had the times right they informed me they cancelled because I didn't confirm. I was reasonably upset and was speaking to the woman with a raised voice, not yelling, and at no point had I made a personal insult either. This is important to note because in addition to her dismissive tone, she was clearly unhappy that I persisted in trying to recover my appointment and said the most immature thing I have ever heard a medical office staff say: "you're being so mean to me."

I was gobsmacked. No...? This is a pretty standard conflict, nothing special. No use of ad hominem. No yelling. Anyway, she called me back later claiming she tried but was unable to move things around to accomodate the appointment I had already scheduled. Maybe she tried, but the result of losing a day at work with no meeting with the dentist was the same. I rescheduled my appointment intending to go back until a friend talked some sense into me by asking why I would return to a dentist that treats me like that. I go to her dental office now. Much better staff and a great dentist.

Edit: Update regarding your response. This was not my experience at all. You may intend to have this level of attention to scheduling. You may train your staff on this. Your staff may even do this for every other patient and somehow dropped the ball with me. The fact remains that I was not informed of this policy. Due to issues outside my control, I did not receive your call(s). That is not your fault either, but because I was not informed of the policy, I was not able to make alternate plans to accommodate for it. You and your staff let me down. That is the bottom line.

I’m a difficult patient. I’m an autistic adult with an extreme phobia of dentists or anything medical. Because of this fear, I’d not been to a dentist in many years and my teeth are in rough shape. The level of kindness I received from every person I interacted with here was above and beyond what I expected. The woman at the front desk, the lady who helped with insurance, the dental assistant, and the dentist himself were calm, kind, helpful, and not the least bit judgmental. If you have a phobia of dental care, go here. Amazing people, great care, great experience. 10 of 10, would recommend.

Update - I thought I had an appointment locked in, I went on vacation and was offline for a week. While I was away, I missed tons of calls from them. The last one saying since I didn’t answer, my appointment had been canceled. They explained this was part of the policy explained to me but I guess I missed the part that said if I missed a call, I’d lose my appointment. It took so much for me to go to a dentist, I suffered for years and years because of dentist anxiety. I thought I found a great dentist and I did. But that left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m sorry I went on vacation. I don’t think it was fair to cancel me when it had already been confirmed. Great dentist, great staff, but a bad policy. Life is busy and hectic, taking time to make an appointment is often hard. It just bothered me they were so quick to write me off and assume I wasn’t going to be there. I’d still give this place high reviews but the trouble of trying to reschedule and take more time off made me decide to look for another dentist.

I was lucky enough to have a word of mouth referral to see Dr. Garhardt from the get go upon moving to Las Vegas in 2010. I won’t see any other dentist here in the Vegas valley. I tell anyone who is looking to come here.
All the staff are super friendly! Tammy does an excellent job at cleaning my teeth! Dr. Garhardt is straightforward, ethical, and he doesn’t overcharge for his quality work.

I was refused to be seen for a cleaning because I didn’t want to take medication prior to my cleaning for a very MILD heart condition. They failed to tell me about this on the phone when I scheduled the appointment. They said they asked me some health history questions on the phone, but I don’t remember them doing that. The lady at the front made me feel like I was being portrayed as a liar!

When I wanted to speak to the dentist he refused to come over. I wasted a part of my day by going here. When I mentioned that I have anxiety and don’t like going to the dentist the hygienist said: “well most people don’t and you don’t have to worry because I’m not even the dentist. Your anxiety isn’t a concern.” How about you ASK why I feel that way!

Please be aware that they will want you take an antibiotic prior to anything being done. This is something I’ve never encountered at an other dentist office. Why not make this A LOT more transparent!

As a dentist, he is gentle and methodical. He takes the time to listen to you and gives every effort to make any dental work as painless as possible. He thoroughly explains everything he does so there are no surprises.

As a person, Dr. Garhardt gets to know his patients. He recalls details about my life and asks about family, health and work. This makes me feel more welcome in his office and shows thoughtfulness on his part. Turns out we have some similar interests so it’s fun to chat about updates on those hobbies.

On those occasions when I just go in for a cleaning, it’s always a pleasant experience as well. I usually see Tammy, and she is just as thoughtful and gentle when cleaning my teeth. Just like Dr. Garhardt, she remembers details about me. We chat about the new things happening in our lives.

This is my 20th year going to Dr. Garhardt and I’ve always gotten the best dental care! With all the choices one has I definitely would have left if I felt unsatisfied. That certainly is NOT the case with this dentist. Dr. Garhardt & his staff are professionals and are experts in their field. Dr. Garhardt and his staff are phenomenal. Besides being great at their jobs, they are incredibly nice! Having worn braces for years and spending so much time in dentist chairs, I am very picky about my dentist. When we were new in town, our kids’ orthodontist recommended him. I won’t see anyone but Dr Garhardt. I trust him 100%!

Unmatched customer service. All his staff and himself have the best disposition. Unlike other dentists I have seen, Dr. Garhardt will not try to give you treatments you don’t need. Instead of going straight to a root canal and crown for my tooth (which would have cost me a pretty penny) he did everything possible and saved my tooth and pocket. Most dentist would go straight to the procedure that would allow them to change the most $$. I highly recommend him.

Best dentist crew in town! When I moved to Vegas nine years ago I searched high and low for a dentist that truly cared more about my teeth than I do (which is a lot), to the point that I continued to drive to my dentist in CA because I wasn't finding a comparable dentist in Vegas. By a fluke, I found Dr. Garhardt's office and I couldn't be happier. All of the staff at his office are incredible and my mouth had never been healthier!

Dr. Garhardt is an excellent dentist. I have been his patient for the past twenty years. In his office I have received replacement fillings (porcelain for the old mercury kind), crowns, and a fill in for a chipped front tooth. All of his work was done quickly and with as little discomfort as possible. He always took care for my physical needs, ensuring that “scare factor” of the dental work was kept to a minimum. The quality of his work is also excellent, and is always done right the first time. The chip on my front tooth was filled back in 2002 and is still going strong after seventeen years. I have recommended Dr. Garhardt to several friends over the years after their own dentists have disappointed them, and they all have been very pleased with his work. He is the best dentist I know.

I have finally found the absolute greatest dentist! I just told my hygienist today that I’m so grateful to them. I only had below average experiences in the past and now, 4 years later, don’t hate going to the dentist. Dr. Garhardt is not only extremely good at dentistry, he is gentle and patient. He will sit and answer any and all questions you have without rushing through. This is something I greatly appreciate. On top of that, the entire staff is so kind and efficient. Without a doubt this was the best experience I have ever had at a Dentists office.
The office staff was wonderful, caring and extremely professional. Even before I walked into this office the staff was very nice, Chris was who made my appointment she was outstanding. Alex is who greeted me when I entered the office she was also outstanding. Linsey took care of me and guided me to the exam room she was outstanding as well. Dr. Steven is a very down to earth and straight forward person, he made me feel comfortable explained my medical issue's to me in a way I understood clearly and he didn't play games on how he intended on helping me in the future.
I am actually looking forward to my return visit and would suggest to everyone and anyone if you are looking for a DDS to help you address you dental needs/issue's give Dr. Steven Garhardt, DDS a call.
