Dr. Lesa Brookes is truly beyond amazing!! She has great communication skills, always explaining everything so clear & understanding to you. She is very friendly and It's really a relief knowing my three babies are under such great care! I can deeply say I am greatful towards, Dr.Brookes. And I will forever recommend her to new parents. The ladies up front. Which are receptionist/nurses, are always nice as well!

Dr. Brookes took the time to listen and research my son’s controversial, yet very real and difficult condition. Dr. Brookes has been my son's pediatrician since he was born. She used to work at Sunrise Hospital, and when she moved to her own practice, we continued seeing her. She's an amazing doctor and always treats my son well. He's 9 years old now, and she always greets us warmly with stickers and candy for the kids. The wait is short, and she always takes her time to see us properly!

On 4/24, I called to ask if my daughter and niece could be scheduled at the same time. I understood that this might not be possible given their appointments were for 4/29 and 4/30, but I wanted to check.

During this call, the staff member incorrectly stated that my niece’s appointment needed to be canceled because her blood work had not been completed. This was not accurate. After reviewing further, she located partial results but still insisted the appointment would need to be canceled due to incomplete labs, despite there being enough time for the remaining results to arrive.

In addition to providing incorrect information, the staff member was dismissive and rude during the interaction. Working in healthcare myself, I understand that issues come up, but professionalism and clear communication are still expected.

Because of this experience, I canceled my daughter’s appointment as well, and we will continue care with our current pediatrician.

We LOVE Dr. Brooks and her assistants! She’s very kind, attentive, caring, informative, and so much more. I’m a first time mom and she has always made me feel valid for asking any and every question I’ve brought to her. The medical assistants are all very sweet and friendly. They are very helpful and sweet towards our baby as well. We are always taken in quickly, very little wait time! If I could give no stars, I would. I’ve been to this office twice for my son’s well child appointments. The first appointment the office bill my insurance $500… Not sure why when well child is all covered by insurance. Not only that their office is lazy and careless. The front desk girls really don’t care care to be there, they don’t greet you, they don’t say hi to the kid… There’s no toys in the waiting room, no books nothing for kids to play with while waiting. Just a TV on. I ended up walking out of my most recent appointment for my son. After waiting over 30 minutes for the doctor. Sitting in a room with the door closed with a toddler is insane, I understand that you guys get busy… But you have plenty of nurses and front desk, people that are sitting around not doing anything that could nicely pop in and say “it’s gonna be a little bit of a wait”.

I scheduled an appointment for my 5 month old for his 6 month check up, but he got sick before then. I was able to get an appointment within 2 days and Dr. Brookes took absolute amazing care of him. I brought my newborn baby to this pediatric clinic because it was close to my house and had great reviews. I have to say, it was nice not having to go through an automated menu when I called. I immediately spoke with an actual person and she was so kind with explaining everything to me. When I arrived to my appointment, the assistants were very kind and sweet with my baby, and Dr. Brooks was phenomenal. She sat down with me and discussed my baby's stats on the growth chart, she answered all of my questions with great care and detail, and did not rush through the appointment. She was very gentle with my breastfeeding concerns and put me at ease. If you bring your child here, you are very much in good hands.

The office people are good and ready to accommodate same day appointments which helps when the kid is sick. But the lab tests take at least one week which prevents us from providing appropriate care and puts us in a confused and worried state. The result mostly comes after the kid recovers which does not really help. Also we wish we got some additional help and insights on topics like skin rashes, eczema, food allergies etc.

Dr Lesa Brookes is a great physician best I’ve ever gone to hands down! She is now in care of my newborn and soon will be for all of my children. The office is really nice and staff seem very nice. Hands down, the best doctor I've ever seen!! I take my teenage daughter here for pediatric care and I couldn't be more impressed with the doctor and her staff. She is so nice and takes the time to go over everything and explain it until you understand it. She is compassionate and has a kind nature. She makes you feel like you're the only patient she has and you never feel rushed. Surprisingly, wait times are pretty good! My longest wait from arrival to seeing the Dr has been 10 minutes?! Dr. Brooke's is a very intelligent woman, carries herself very well and is a great example to her impressionable, growing patients. I could go on about how highly I recommend Dr. Brooke's but you'll be better off taking your kids to her and seeing for yourself how rare a doctor like this is! Be well!

ETA: We did switch peds after about a year. The receptionist is super lazy and never returns calls. There was a time that I was calling back to back all day and nobody answered. I decided to drive across town to speak to someone in person but before I walked in I called once more (still no answer). When I walked in, the phone was ringing and the receptionist was ignoring the phone while playing on her phone. Then lied about it. lol. I had to fight to get my kids records released as well. I requested them a while ago and we never did get them. The Doctor is awesome though, as well as her assistant . I can’t deny that.

We are from PA and were super nervous about switching Pediatricians, we were even more nervous once we found out we were expecting another baby and would need to find a Pediatrician that we trusted with our newborns care. Dr. Brooke’s is the second Pediatrician we’ve seen in Vegas and now I refuse to allow my kids to be seen elsewhere. She is nothing less than an amazing Pediatrician! In fact, we actually like her even more than the Pediatrician that my kids were being seen at prior to moving here. She takes the time to listen and hears your thoughts and concerns. She goes over things THOROUGHLY so that we understand. I have no complaints. Her nurse is great and the lady in charge of the front desk has always been super friendly as well. Sometimes there’s a wait but we don’t mind because we know that she is just taking her time to THOROUGHLY care for her other patients the same way she does ours children.

I am very disappointed with my experience at West Side Pediatrics. I feel that the front office staff is uninformed and impertinent. I was scheduled for a new patient appointment for my children and upon scheduling the appointment I informed the front office staff that we were switching pediatricians due to the overly strict covid policy of only allowing one parent to accompany children during their visit and the secretary assured me that my husband would be able to attend my baby’s appointment with me so I continued on booking the appointment. We arrived at our appointment 10 minutes early so that we would have time to fill out new patient forms but we were told by front office staff that we would need to go wait because they didn’t open until 8:30am which is when our appointment was scheduled. The woman seemed very annoyed with us while telling us to wait when I feel like they shouldn’t schedule new patient appointments at 8:30am if they don’t want you to show up early because typically you are required to come early to fill out new patient forms so you aren’t rushing trying to fill out forms during your visit with the doctor. We were then told that only one parent would be able to accompany my children for the appointment despite what I was told over the phone while booking the appointment. I have two children under 2 and my youngest is due for vaccines which is incredibly difficult for me to deal with alone so this news was very upsetting to me. I told front office staff that I was told my husband would be allowed in the room with me but the women unkindly told me that they sent emails out informing patients of their new policy but I never received an email. I ended up canceling my appointment. The front office staff turned us away without concern for the inconvenience this caused us which makes me feel like the staff at this clinic doesn’t care for their patients like they should. My child is now late for her vaccines and my husband will have to take more time off so that we can go to a pediatrician that will allow us to be in the room together for future appointments. This office also has very inconvenient hours of operation. I feel like the only reason they have high ratings is because they don’t have many patients or reviews.

If you still choose to go to this place do so at your own risk but understand that they will refuse service to your child if they disagree with your medical choices. I would highly recommend not going here if you want to be treated with common decency, respect, and not be discriminated against. My 3 month old child was refused service and kicked out of this facility and I would never wish that type of discrimination on anyone’s child. Choose wisely if you are debating about this facility.

Dr. Brooke's is really nice, attentive, caring. Made small talk with my kids. Made them laugh too. She is very sweet and I would recommend anybody to her. It is honestly worth the drive for me.

I am a medical provider and this is the pediatrician I trust with my baby. She is very thorough and patient with my son who has Autism. She has even taught me some things to help me take better care of my son and my patients. I absolutely love her and her team.

Well I just can't say enough about Dr.Brookes. If you are looking for professionalism, kindness, dedication, experience, knowledge for a true professional you can trust I absolutely recommend Dr.Brookes. She is such a beautiful human being and an amazing doctor. My two kids (5 and 13) have been patients of Dr.Brookes for 5 years, I wouldn't go anywhere else. She has always treated us with respect and kindness, my kids love her, she is full of knowledge, she will take the time to explain whatever questions you may have without making you feel in a rush like other doctors do, she truly cares about her patients. She goes above and beyond for her patients each and every time. Office staff is great, scheduling appointments is easy and fast, wait time is minimal. I have to drive about an hour to get to her location and I do it without a doubt. I feel fortunate to have this doctor for my kids. Thank you. God bless you Dr. Brookes.
