I needed pre-op clearance for a foot surgery back in March of this year. Part of the testing included an EKG which was done by my PC physician. Results showed an abnormality so she referred me to Dr. Gupta at State of the Heart. He ran a stress test and an Echocardiogram. Results showed no problems. Had a 6 month follow up visit just a few days ago. Everything still looks good. I am very impressed with Dr. Gupta and his practice. I waited less than 5 minutes upon arrival to be brought back into one of the exam rooms on both visits. The people at the front desk were friendly and attentive as were the back office staff. I have never been in a doctor's office that is as clean as Dr. Gupta's. The level of cleanliness is off the charts.

Phenomenal front desk staff, very polite, fast, efficient and the one star is no representation of them. Problem is with Gupta and their male tech.

Came in to get an abnormal EKG/High blood pressure checked out. While waiting for the tech to come in to run the tests, Gupta came in asking if I was his client and proceeded to interrupt me as I explained symptoms. Went on a ten minute rant about how my problems were because I wasn’t Vegan, breathing, and stressed. All before I actually got any tests. Never saw him again after this.

Once I got my tests back I had a 120/40 blood pressure that was deemed normal and was shown to have 3 leaky valves. When asked for an interpretation of the results I was told “we’ll call if you’re dying” So yeah I don’t exactly recommend this place.

I was under the care of state of the heart for a couple of years. Initially I was seen by a young Cardiologist who was very knowledgeable and paid attention to details so I was very pleased. This doctor left the practice after a while and I was left to be seen by Dr. Gupta. I noticed he didn’t really paid any importance to what I had to say and pretty much dismissed all my concerns. A couple of times he spoke about tests that I had not completed yet being “normal” which I just thought ok he’s just confused and didn’t think much of it. Well, I moved away from Las Vegas and now that I’ve gotten a copy of my medical records, I was able to see that he had diagnosed me with chronic conditions I was never made aware of BECAUSE I NEVER HAD THEM (and I know this for sure because I’m a nurse)!! So either it was charted incorrectly or it was just made up I have no idea! This is unacceptable and he should really start paying more attention. Very disappointed and very concerned that I’ve not been receiving the proper treatment. Do not recommend this practice at all.

My appointment is 9:15 AM. I went there at 9:05AM. There was no one patient except me in the waiting area. But they still kept me waiting until 10:30AM for my medical test. The front desk staff was so arrogant about my checking. She is like you can go if you don't want wait. So I didn't do test and left finally. This was the second time I visit this clinic.

Good cardiologists, horrible staff at Arby location. They'd leave a message asking me to call them; I'd call back numerous times for days but they'd never return calls. Add in repeated and numerous episodes of them not calling in prescriptions (but saying they did) and botched up referrals and it far outweighed the good cardiologists. Had to go find another cardiologist with some hint of a professional competent staff.

Update a/o 23 June 2020: Wow, the staff here still seems incompetent. Got a call today wanting me to call them to schedule an annual check-up. Guess they never noticed I moved on to another cardiologist with a competent staff over a year ago. Had to listen to the voice mail SEVEN times to figure who had left the message. Never could make out the name of the lady staffer calling. She spoke too fast and was very busy chomping on gum or her meal to make out much. So, again, I give State of the Heart one star for the worst staff ever.

Gupta doesn't know what his doing, when he saw me it was quick and he just gave me some general heart pills. He also ordered un-needed tests just to get money. After doing the tests, even the person giving the tests questioned why a person my age was receiving it. I went to a second Cardiologist and he questioned everything Dr. Gupta did, clearly his a doctor who just wants money vs treating a patient. Fast forward to 2020 and now I get a call saying they have a new billing system and I own them money, after my insurance paid and 4 years later, WTH? Beware of these guys, bad service and poor accounting. I would recommend looking elsewhere, steer clear.

My mom came in for a procedure as Dr.Guptas patient on 1-9-2020 to help restore blood flow in her legs. She has been suffering in pain for years and no other Vascular Doctor would even Touch her or try to operate. Dr. Gupta is a very Aggressive Doctor and an overall Problem Solver since Day 1! He is very involved with his patients and actually takes his time to listen. DR. Gupta genuinely cares and that is a very rare attribute from doctors these days. Even if the surgeries were unsuccessful I'm just extremely grateful that he has restored hope in my moms heart. Thank You Dr. Gupta for EVERYTHING!

Dr Gupta is kind, caring and very thorough. He explains things in a manner that is easily understood and ran tests to make my diagnosis and prescribed medications to treat me.

Everyone here is so helpful and friendly. I thank God when I was in critical condition, they called Dr. Makam. He is such a caring Dr. Who truly cares about us (his patients) He is truly one of the best Dr. I have been to since I came to Las Vegas 9 years ago. His close monitoring of my case has allowed me to feel more at ease as I am recuperating. He reviews all related documents from not only in his practice but also treating Dr.'s if sent to him. Anything needed from his office for the Dr.s on my cases, he and his staff has worked quickly to get them what was needed. Dr. Makam should truly be recognized as one of the best not just Heart Dr. but Dr.'s in Las Vegas.
