Review for Mai Orthodontics

I am extremely disappointed with the treatment my son and I received from Mai Orthodontics after being loyal patients and paying over $10,000 for his braces and treatment. While everything was smooth during the payment phase, the moment our balance was paid off and his braces were removed, the level of care and professionalism drastically declined.

We were given one set of retainers and a mold for future use. However, when we needed to replace the bottom retainer, not only did they charge us $250, but they also broke the original mold and required me to go completely out of my way — twice — to drop off and pick up the replacement. When I called to confirm the new mold, I was told we wouldn’t get it for 10 more days. After finally receiving the new retainer, it did not fit at all — just four days after they supposedly remade it.

Today, my son returned for follow-up, and the staff spent 20 minutes trying to force a clearly ill-fitting retainer onto his teeth. Despite this obvious issue (which they caused), they acted like they were doing us a favor by agreeing to make a new mold and replacement — even though we already paid for it and they broke the mold.

To make matters worse, when he requested a new top retainer, they immediately told him it would cost another $250.

When I spoke with the manager, she was combative, lacked compassion, and offered no resolution. She then informed me they would refuse to make the top retainer and that my son was no longer welcome as a patient. This is how they treat a patient after years of loyalty and thousands of dollars invested in care?

If you’re looking for an orthodontist who actually cares about their patients and stands behind the quality of their work, I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and complete disregard for patient experience at Mai Orthodontics is unacceptable.

Win Orthodontics deserves a 5 star review! I’ve always come into this place feeling comfortable and welcomed. I finally finished my treatment plan and I will say they do not disappoint. Every time I’ve come in to receive services I was always treated with proper care and caution so I was never in much discomfort. I will say Yessi is one of their greatest employees! She was super nice to talk to and definitely showed much care in her work. My transformation by being here is very much appreciated and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to start their journey! Thank you so much

My son just got his braces on yesterday and we had such a great experience with Dr. Mai and his staff! I can tell that over the next two years they will become like family! The girls at the front are so welcoming and nice! Anthony put his braces on and he was so awesome! We talked the whole time and he is super nice as well! I’m very happy we found Dr. Mai!

Also Yessie, she is great, she knows what she doing and fast. I’m very satisfied with her skills. I’ll differently recommended Win Orthodontics to my friends and families.
