Avoid this place at all costs. They forced every single patient to do a deep cleaning, which was deemed as "medically unnecessary" by my insurance's inhouse examinaters. Despite paying $200 out of pocket already, now they are balance billing me an additional $600. I specifically confirmed with the front desk after receiving the initial bill and the lady told me my balance was clear. Then 2 months later, they keep sending me past-due mail notices. Billing department can't be reached via phone or email. Also for the same type of service, they charge more copay than a local, independent, family office. Avoid corporate chain like Absolute Dental will save you headaches down the line!

Update: after almost 5 months after the initial service, Absolute Dental still persistently sent me bill mail and called my phone multiple times to get me scheduled for another routine cleaning. They view customers as a cash grab source and I highly doubted the business owner's integrity.

I went to Absolute Dental for a routine annual cleaning that my insurance fully covers and had a very disappointing experience. I was treated in a condescending manner and told I had multiple “serious” dental issues that required immediate treatment. This felt fear-based and pressured, and a second opinion later confirmed those claims were not accurate.

I was initially misled about pricing, and only at checkout were unexpected charges presented, making me feel unable to leave without paying. They refused to perform the basic cleaning covered by my insurance, claiming it would be “malpractice,” which was untrue. I was given only one cleaning option costing over $200.

This office drags their feet on any type of follow thru!! My employer changed insurance carrier and no longer covers Dr. Rahi Shah at Absolute only his private practice. I've already paid $800 and will not start from scratch. All that is needed is a referral to the new Dr at another Absolute Office less than 4 miles away. Can't reach by phone and 8448smilenow talked to office manager today and still no referral received after telling me she will send it immediately and no follow up phone call to me making sure I received it. Do not go to this dentist. Made an appointment to have 1 tooth extracted. Got there and was put to back fairly quickly. Got x-ray done. Dentist came in said can't pull tooth needed antibiotics. Okay no biggie. Waited for nurse who never came. When I went to front desk. Asked how much and when I could get tooth pulled. I was quoted over 600.00 to pull 1 tooth. Unbelievable. 314.00 for pre-session consult. What the hell is that? For him to tell me a second time Im pulling your tooth? 295.05 for the extraction. Highway robbery. Stay away.

Whatever you do don't go to ANY absolute dental office. This place/staff with lie to you from the get go. I came here back in 2019 or 2020 due to an infected root canal. And was told I had so many cavities and all kinds of problems with my teeth that wasn't true. Due to having a second opinion. And not just that, the dentist didn't even recommend me to an endodontist!! They took it upon themselves to do it there at the office. Never once showed me where all my cavities and problems were using my imaging they did too. Pls don't come here.

I can’t say anything positive about absolute dental. My journey began with making an appt at one next to my neighborhood out of convenience . After scheduling an appt for a broken tooth I called right back to schedule annual cleaning for my daughter. I was told that office is closed for next 2 days. This means I would have taken a day off of work to go to an office which was closed. I was offered an appt at Durango absolute dental. Upon arrival I was met my unfriendly receptionist . After exam I met a condescending billing clerk . Left office upset and defeated. Next day my daughter went for annual cleaning. She was denied regular cleaning and told she had lots off tooth/gum concerns. And had to pay 300 cash for deep cleaning. She has bi annual teeth cleaning and was never told she had before mentioned problems. The hygienist, Dentist and same billing clerk embarrassed her to no end. When she wanted to call me with questions on what they wanted to do and charge her for the biller asked “ Do you want to call your mother on this too?” Dentist bullied her about refusing numbing for two tiny top of tooth cavities. Dentist said several unprofessional statements. These are true statements and have been reported to our insurance company.

I've been going to this office for over two years, but unfortunately, l've experienced constant issues with the office staff, particularly regarding billing. Each time, I had to reach out to the office manager to resolve mistakes made by their billing department.
My most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I had an appointment booked in May for December 20th. When I arrived at the office, it was closed without any prior notification. After contacting their scheduling line, they rescheduled me for December 23rd. I had to take another day off work, only to be told by the front desk that I didn't have an appointment.
With the end of the year approaching and insurance benefits expiring, this was an unnecessarily stressful and frustrating situation. While Dr. Shah is excellent, the office staff's inefficiency has made it impossible for me to continue as a patient.
It's unfortunate that I now need to find a new dentist because of these repeated issues.

Great dentists and services, but unfortunately appointments are disorganized. Call center messed up my appointment and another gentleman’s. Calling the direct office fails. Lobby at some point had around 20 people. Miscommunication when rescheduling an appointment for the same day. I was told the doctor was free. I said yes I want to see them at 3 and I will wait. Then I inquired about rescheduling my cleaning and she said to talk to the desk. I spoke to the desk about the cleaning not the 30 minute wait for the dentist. I lost 2 hours today to find out I need to reschedule.

I had braces at this place, and during one of my appointments, the technician tightened my braces too much, causing one of my brackets to snap off. When I mentioned it, they said it was fine and they’d fix it at my next appointment. Unfortunately, by the time I went back, my tooth had shifted, and it never shifted back properly. Out of all the Absolute Dental locations in town this is hands down the best out of all the locations. As soon as I walked in I was greeted at front desk. Her name is Andrea and she couldn’t of been a nicer person. She guided me through the new patient process and made it so easy. While I was there everything went smooth. However their staff does not communicate well. I was referred to an oral surgeon I could not get this location to send my imaging over. When I was there they advised they would email them over with my request or the oral surgeons. But when I called I was told the images were already mailed to my home, then I was told I had to write a letter to request my records, or the surgeon could write a letter. They did help me find the cause of my tooth pain, but if they dont get the xrays over I will have to be in pain longer than necessary or have them redone at the surgeons office for 500 dollars. Im very unhappy with this unnecessary delay. They referred me, any good medical office sends records and imaging with the referral to prevent delay. It is not a hippa violation because it is for continuity of care. I definitely will not go back if I have another emergency.

Updating my review to a 3. The surgeons office was able to retrieve my records once I arrived and explained the issue. It was about an hour delay. Im glad they were able to assist me.

I had a great experience at this location. I don't have insurance so finding an affordable dentist is hard but absolute dental made it very easy to get my cleaning done and some fillings. I signed up for the monthly payment plan and started my treatment right away. The Dr and hygienist where super amazing and listened to all my concerns. Other dental assistants are so harsh and just shove stuff into your mouth without any explanation. As a first time patient at Art Absolute Dental I have to say that the front desk is very inviting the idea of a complete exam is great. I had no question pertaining to my exam because Dr. Shah was very thorough. To many patients and one surgeon and after care was the worse experience I had to wait 2days for them to send the pharmacist a pain pill prescription they just couldn’t figure out what to do so the sent my first 3 prescriptions I already got so I was in pain for 2 days cuz when they got the right prescription sent in they left out info a code. 3 day finally someone got it right! I avoided routine dental care for 15 or more years. During that time I've had many extractions. Whenever I experienced a tooth ache, I would go to the dentist and ask them to extract the tooth and always promised to return for routine care. My career as a nurse for over 40 years, I always found time to help my patients but never took time to care for my own health. One day I was examining my mouth in the mirror and was shocked and very embarrassed by what I saw.
I immediately start searching for dentists and a
Absolute Dental was able to get me in the next day to discuss overall dental care. Since August I have visited 3 of their many clinics around town and each visit I came out with a smile. I've met 2 office managers both of them were awesome the staff was awesome and I love the Dentists and Into hygienus.

I've been coming here for about a year now & I can't say anything bad about this office. The staff is friendly, whether you are calling or coming in for a visit. They are always willing to help you and answer any questions you have. The dentist I see, Stacy Garner, is great, as well as the hygienists. Appointments are always available within a few days so you never have to wait weeks to come in. They are quick and efficient everytime I come in. I would definitely recommend this office and all the staff here.

I just got my wisdom teeth pulled a couple of days ago and EVERYONE from front office to the back office were super sweet! Made sure I was comfortable at all times. Even in this pandemic they were VERY VERY Cautious! The Doctor was AWESOME! He talked to me and informed me about my procedure and what to expect which made me trust him. I had been looking at reviews as my past dental experience had been traumatizing. This location was able to not only answering my questions but to accommodate as I was a walk-in. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by their very friendly staff. Karlata walked me through the paperwork process and made it very simple. I was brought back for x-rays and every single step of the process was explained by Jessie. I was then seen by Dr. Shah who made sure he answered all my concerns due to past experiences. I am so thankful for them working with me as far as being able to accommodate to my only day off. The office manager came in and explained the doctors recommendations I made her aware of my availability and she was able to get me scheduled for Emy to complete my cleaning and start up my procedures. By far the best experience I’ve had and well worth my drive. I would recommend this location to anyone who’s looking for not only a very welcoming and friendly staff but very professional and welcoming personnel.

So the one-star is for the front office people that can't get the information from insurance. It was over one month before I found out that they never even put the pre-authorization in. I wish I had more information on the doctor but it looks like we will never get to see him. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place their prices are through the roof with insurance they wanted to charge me $1,000 for something I can get for cash 650. Oh and don't bother calling them they never answer the phone. Had to go down there personally to 2 times.

They do poor work on your teeth and just rescheduled an appointment (that was already canceled twice) with no notification until I got there. I had taken my pre-med as instructed and got there only to find out they couldn’t take me. Never ever go to this place - Absolute Dental on Flamingo and Durango is the absolute worst.

Original appointment scheduled for 2pm. I received a call for an opening at 10am. I accepted the earlier appointment. I arrived at 10am; however, I was not seen until about 1020. They processed X-rays which took about 10 minutes. Dentist exam for about 5 minutes. This brings us to about 1035. I sat waiting for the dental hygienist to complete the exam. I waited until 11am and no dental hygienist. I left. By the way first thing they asked for was payment followed by 10-15 pages of paperwork. The repeated information gathering was redundant since they asked for this information over the phone. I texted the service asking what and how were they gong to complete the service I paid for. The response was "No treatment of Cleaning Are Guaranteed on the first visit we have to do the exam and x-rays to see what type of cleaning needs to be done". I straight up told the Dentist a "deep cleaning" was needed. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

My mother’s insurance has this office listed as a provider. We called for an appointment and everything was fine, however these people then called us the morning last minute prior to her appointment to cancel on us yet they texted a confirmation to show up. Upon arrival, they dismissed us saying they called. So they texted me confirmations, but couldn’t text me a cancellation.
Pro tip: Don’t list yourself as a provider if you are not willing to provide!

Waste of your entire day going to this place. They have serious scheduling issues. We had a 12pm appointment that we showed up at 11:45 for (to complete pre-surgery paperwork), and they told us to wait in our car until they called us for our turn. We didn’t get a call until 4:18pm. This is on top of them telling you not to eat or drink ANYTHING for 8 hours before your appointment. It’s getting hot now (high was 90), which was a major issue waiting in the heat and not being able to drink water. The patient I was driving was getting physically sick from waiting so long without eating or drinking because it had been almost 20 hours since they had anything last by the time we just left the parking lot to get dinner. Wanna know what the location’s solution is to avoid this? Book an earlier appointment time! We left after 4pm because the office was closed and we literally couldn’t get a hold of anyone on the phone. I think the phone number for this location is messed up because it was a bunch of automated messages, before the last message said “there was a problem processing your request, please contact the system administrator,” and then it hung up. They also forced payment of consultation before the consult even happened, that way they can force you to stick around all day. Overall very unprofessional in this whole ordeal.

They canceled my wife's wisdom teeth extraction after MONTHS of rescheduling that THEY would make excuses for. She is pregnant and we told that to them a number of times which they responded "No problem, you'll just have to be awake for the procedure." We heard that so many times, we prepped days ahead. We walk in and they have us wait for 2 hours which then they follow up saying they will not do it because she's pregnant..... they kept stating that we were asking for her to go to sleep when there is NO record of that being stated from us. We said this was an emergency and they needed to be pulled so the teeth wouldn't get infected and hurt the baby. The women then tried to make me feel bad saying why would my wife and i want to hurt the baby..... wow lady, real cool of you for that because I remember you and we told you she was pregnant when you took her back for x-rays. I've been told by doctors that wisdom teeth can be removed while pregnant, the absolute dental fool said he wouldn't do it. Thank you for wasting my time and effort. Been going at this for months and to get canceled on the day of. I hope for you my child doesnt get hurt or this will be taken much further. You all there deserve all the stress you get. That's not a dentist, it's a chop shop

While the staff was helpful and had a good attitude, the dentist and dental hygienist that worked on me did their services horribly. Absolutely never going back. The hygienist was unnecessarily rough; it felt like she was sawing my gums. It seemed like the dentist who was filling my cavity didn’t know what he was doing. Worst mouth pain I’ve ever felt, so much blood on their gloves. Months later I still have pain from the tooth he supposedly filled. Not to mention they never answer the phone. Save yourself the trauma, don’t come to this location.

Went in for a general cleaning. They did the same thing to me as a review below. Took me in for xrays and made me fill out a ton of paperwork. Then told me they dont do general cleaning and only offered me a deep cleaning service for like $400. To make matters worse, they told me they had verified my insurance would cover the xrays. I paid my copayment in person. Then they sent me a bill for the xrays. Go ahead and try to call the office, they never answer the phone. They send your call to Absolute dentals customer support, who also can never get in touch with them. Huge waste of time and headache.

I have been trying to call to schedule an earlier appointment because my tooth ache that was supposedly from grinding my teeth is now a potential root canal. Well,I must say being a new patient since only July 22,2022,Has been extremely devastating for one,and then to be humiliated by the girl that works the front desk,in front of everyone,about me being on medicaid,,barging in on my appt with Dr bacatelling me what I can do and that's the way it is,needless to say I walked out after my appointment completely in tears.
This girl at the front desk has already lied to me,then never scheduled my appt with the oral surgeon.you see I went in because I lost 4 of my bottom teeth root and all and absolutely nothing wrong with them,well when the x-rays were ready to look at dr Baca explained I have a very large possibly a tumor that is under my jaw bone it starts at my earlobe and ends at my chin.therefore the pressure from that forced my teeth to become loose and come out very rapid,dr cant save the rest of my teeth,they call this the silent killer.i would have never known this if I had not went to the detist.so to tie thus up the woman up front never made an appt with the surgeon,so it will now be 3 months I've waited. I have cancer that runs extremely high in my family. not to mention my self esteem is gone and the quality of my lie isn't so good.i apologize for writing so much about my situation, you depend on your. Dr to do the best they can for you.but unfortunately its not at all that simple.Thank you for hearing me out.

Things just get worse and worse: So first time going did the regular checkup and ended up having to do a deep cleaning which was fine. Saw the bill and thought it was a bit high compared to other times had deep cleaning with other offices before. Let it slide.

Then, was told needed to get
Wisdom teeth out and braces which already knew that, but seemed very salesy the way it was brought up. But due to finances, had to postpone.

So dentist just scheduled a checkup 3 weeks later. I confirmed a couple times that it was just checkup.

Showed up. And was told had to do another cleaning by the front desk. And I was like what, I thought just checkup and they said that needed cleaning every 3 months.

And I told them I was never told this beforehand. Front desk lady just kept on going on that was needed which, even if it was, should have been told to begin with, especially since I thought it was only going to be a couple minutes and something planned right after. Really bad communication in this office.

TLDR: Needless to say, cancelled. Never coming again. They are just out for your money and don't really care about you, or your time. I guess that's why they have such really low ratings to begin with.

I am so pissed off. So basically I chipped my two front teeth. It happened due to pregnancy. Tooth decay is common during this time. And apparently when you're pregnant medicaid will cover a bunch of dental procedures from what this place told me. Well for what I needed done they said Medicaid would cover it but they said to keep calling back and checking till my insurance approves it. It's been a month and a half later and now some different lady on the phone just told me they can't do it because I'm 21. They have always known my age. Do not go to this dentist. First of all it was a Friday and the dentist wanted to leave early so they asked us to come in earlier than we were originally scheduled for. That was fine but when we got there we were rushed. In fact the dentist took one peek at my son then we never saw him again. He left. He had his nurse deal with us the rest of the time.
Ya know, in a perfect world all of us would be able to go to the dentist and easily afford whatever it is that we needed. In the real world sometimes we have to do what we have to do. Some of us can't afford 2000 bucks for a root canal.
My son was in absolute AGONY when we got to Absolute Dental. Although it would be wonderful to be able to save the tooth by getting a root canal WE COULD NOT AFFORD IT. My son needed an extraction right away. We already tried antibiotics. We already tried every pain reliever under the sun. It was our decision to make and we chose the extraction. This dentist should have preformed this procedure immediately.
The dentist split to go do whatever it was that he was in such a hurry to go do while my son was practically in tears.
The nurse tried to tell us that this tooth wasn't rotten enough to pull out yet it WAS rotted enough to where we needed a root canal and not a simple filling.That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. That isn't even a thing. I talked to 3 dentists right after we left Absolute. ALL 3 OF THEM CONFIRMED what I thought. There is no such thing as not being able to pull a tooth because its not rotted enough.
Sometimes a dentist can't pull a tooth because the roots are in a position where they cannot pull it and instead they give you a referral to see an oral surgeon. But never do they say your tooth is not rotted enough to extract.
They handed us a prescription for ibuprofen and said goodbye.
Truthfully, we believe that this dentist was more interested in leaving and starting his weekend early. We believe that he didn't want to be bothered with treating my son that day.
Now we have to wait for 3 days till he can get into another dentist. My son's insurance doesn't cover any of the emergency dental offices. My son is in so much pain and I am FURIOUSSSS as any mother would be.
Absolute Dental SUCKS. Try Liberty Dental instead. They also accept Medicaid.

This is an expensive dental facility. I just receive my bill amd I thought my dental insurance would cover everything but they lied to me. The total bill came up to close $3000 just extracting 3 tooth and cleaning. I wish I habe known how much my total bill would be before I had it done, otherwise I would habe walk away and went to another dental clinic. If you want to spend more of your money with this clinic you go ahead bu I would not recommend this to anyone I know off. Highway robbery is what their doing.

People rated this place almost worst dental office in town. Well I'm here to say the doctor and staff helped me tremendously! I broke my front last night and have work tomorrow, and they fixed my tooth right away! I've never had such an amazing dentist and the sad thing is, I just moved here! Amazing service. Amazing staff. Positively the worst. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I have to have a partial redone and my husband has to have dentures redone because of the poor workmanship. But they got paid and had to pay more even though teeth fell out of the dentures. Shameful, pathetic, unprofessional and inconsiderate.

Public Service Announcement - Our experience with Absolute Dental, 4035 S Durango is the service location, but they have 18 other offices in the Las Vegas area...

Extremely disappointed and frustrated in our experience with Absolute Dental and sharing this to hopefully help other consumers avoid similar experiences and because in my opinion companies that treat customers like this don’t deserve our business or to be in business.

Wife was having some dental problems/pain, went to Absolute around July 2016 and presented her Met Life dental insurance, they did an exam/cleaning and quote for bridgework, I believe the total amount of work was around $1,700 with us being responsible for $1000 ish and insurance covering $700 ish. Wife accepted and paid her part of $1,000.

About 18-20 months (around Spring 2018) after the service was completed, Absolute sends us a bill for $700+.

Explanation Met Life determined the work wasn’t a covered service and took the payment back from us, so we are collecting the payment from you….We bill insurance as a courtesy to you, if insurance doesn’t pay, you are responsible, it is in the agreement…

Issue #1 What responsibility does the company have to be accurate in service quotes provided to customers? I believe they should stand behind the quotes they provide, that they work with insurance on a regular basis and if they decide to accept insurance clients, they have a responsibility to know what insurance will/won’t cover. We probably would not have agreed to the work if we would be paying $1700 ish, we agreed to the work on the basis of being responsible for $1000 ish

In speaking with an attorney, (glad I have Legal Shield) turns out legally we have no leg to stand on.

I go into the Durango Absolute Dental office and explained the situation, that we relied on the information presented to us by them as to the cost of the service. Was hoping ideally they would waive the bill, was prepared to settle and pay half on the spot, just to move on and put it behind us...She says she doesn’t have authority to adjust the bill, she will talk to corporate and get back to me. A few days later contacted me, saying usually they don’t make this size of an adjustment, but they would reduce the bill to $500. I suggested a 50% adjustment, and office manager said she couldn’t reduce the amount but could accept payments. I said let me talk to my wife and see how she wants to handle it.

I guess we didn’t respond quickly enough for Absolute Dental, we didn’t receive a phone call, nor anything additional in the mail, except about 45 days later they sent the $500 bill to collections, and collections added on $200 + , so now the bill is back to $700+.

This week collection company calls, I explain the situation, that I was waiting for Absolute corporate billing to contact us, we didn’t receive the communication/correspondence as mentioned in last phone call. That we don’t feel the debt is valid, representative said she is listing it “consumer refuses to pay” and said she is disconnecting the call…

Las Vegas and Reno consumers who are patients of Absolute Dental might want to reconsider that choice, as well as those looking for a local dentist might want to avoid entirely

If I could give them 0 I would. Had an appointment for an emergency tooth extraction pushed back 3 weeks. When I arrived the morning they tell me the oral surgeon decided he “no longer wanted to be with us” as in he quit. Extreme lack up communication. DONT GO HERE FOR EMERGENCIES . ALL LOCATIONS

Horrible service. They took off my sons braces. They were not suppose to.... big mistake. They put on the braces wrong had to redo it then on next visitation I get home and the forgot to put his rubber bands on. Come on how do you forget that.

Dr. Staci Garner and Dr. Mary Shehata are wonderful dentists. Also the Hygienist Getu Wolde is wonderful and exceptionally gentle on deep cleanings. I highly recommend this location. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful.

They are criminals! I gave them $39 which took me 4 hours to earn. I have medicaid, which pays for regular teeth cleaning and x-rays. Well, after taking my money, and charging the state, probably $250 for x-rays, they said they couldn't regular clean my teeth, because I needed a deep cleaning. What??? Um, a dentist always does a regular cleaning no matter what. I'm reporting them to the state.

Don't go to this butcher shop! People have an inherent fear of the dentist because of incompetent staffing, much like the staff at absolute dental on Durango and Flamingo. I had a perfectly fine tooth that they offered to replace the crown on because it was old. I foolishly agreed, the experience was so bad that I requested to go to a different dentist and of course the insurance force you to go where the crown mills was taken... long story short. I need a root canal of my original root canal. Save yourself agony and skip this place!!!

The office on lake mead and Jones is where I initially started my care and they were horrible the women dentist I forgot her name literally told me after making me wait for her for over 45 min that she does not have enough time to do the work I needed done that I had scheduled and was on time with being 15 min early she didn’t care that it needed to be done due to pain so I had to wait for a refund and never went back I started going to the office on Durango and wow they are amazing from the receptionist to the assistants and dr himself I’m so glad I gave absolute dental a second chance because I loved the office on Durango very clean and I finally got all my work done couldn’t be happier
