No,no no and No!
I have not been to a doctor in a while and by a while I mean at least 10 years. Why I didn't go is due to my own nature and lack of insurance. With that said I went, I pushed my anxiety aside and I went. The lady with red hair checked me in before my doctor and took my blood pressure and asked me questions, one of the questions was about the last time I had a pap smear and when I answered honestly she covered her mouth and LAUGHED. It wasn't subtle and it was intentional. I wa in shock that someone would laugh at my honesty concerning my health. I was surprised at the lack of integrity in her field due to her career field. So for her bedside manner was clearly not her strong suit. My husband also went to the doctor that day and she also laughed at him when he answered a question honestly about exercise.
She left the room and a lump filled my throat because it felt like I just got bullied in highschool.
The doctor who saw me was nice however dismissed a lot of my concerns,and I felt that I had to repeat a lot of what I was saying. She told me she did not believe in mental health medications and preferred natural remedies. I believe medication has a place as someone who has a long history of general anxiety and OCD I believe both have a place. Other health concerns I mentioned just were dismissed. I will be chosing a different place to seek health care.
The first lady that laughed at me was giving those ladies that were on tik tok for laughing at women's discharge at a ob clinic- same kind of energy here.
