Horrible experience. Staff is very lazy. Super difficult to get help or referral. Dr says one thing . Staff under Dr say another. Seems like a circus show with the moving parts , changes, the merge that took place and making patients feel worthless and complete uncared for. So disappointing this is the reality of healthcare. Nickel and dime for anything they can and then take forever to get you something that's urgent. Team isn't functioning as a team.

Absolutely awful. If there was a minus rating on these things it would be at the bottom. Escorted my mother to get blood work done. She already fasted the allotted time and was feeling weak. Appointment was 8:45 and didn’t get called until 9:30. Mother kept on asking when was her time. Receptionist told her 2 people were ahead of her. 3 people came in after that and was seen right away. And they were there for other reasons.
When she finally got called in the phlebotomist told her that the receptionist never told her that my mom was there.
75 yrs old fasted and waited like what seemed to be an eternity. Other patients in there wondering when their time was going to come.
The way this place treat their senior patients is absolutely disgusting. 2 women sitting in that reception office needs to get their hearing checked. Lame receptionists can’t even hear the patients through that ridiculous plexiglass. This place needs to be fixed. Possibly looking into writing channel 13 news and getting Darcy Spears involved so she can exposed this place for their lack of everything re: their senior patients. UNACCEPTABLE!

Saw Dr. Gothelf 1 Nov 24. Hadn’t seen him for 6 months n had several issues I needed help with. Didn’t know if he wld have time for all but he didn’t rush me n addressed all my needs n today t 4 th of Nov. he has already resolved several of my issues. **UPDATE 12/26/24**

This CANNOT be happening. Four months ago I had my check up. As I was leaving, I asked for a copy of my lab test order form for the next visit. They couldn't give me one (system problem) but said they'd fax it to LabCorp right away. I asked for a copy to be mailed to me, too, which they said they would do.

They did NEITHER.

I called three times since (including last week) and every time I was told the order form would be faxed and mailed. Again, three times NOTHING.

Today was my LabCorp visit. Again this morning I called to make sure they'd faxed to LabCorp. When I arrived LabCorp had no record.

I called while i was standing in the LabCorp waiting area. They said they'd fax it right then as I waited. I asked them to stay on the phone while the LabCorp staff and I waited for it to ring and come through.

Never happened. NOTHING!

**UPDATE 10/10/24**

Two months ago I posted a one-star review below.

It hasn't gotten any better. But it has gotten worse.

The "Follow My Health" app has replaced the earlier one which seems fine. But responsiveness has PLUMMETED.

Of seven messages sent, four were answered after SIX OR MORE DAYS (despite being about urgent prescription issues and questions), TWO weren't answered at all and only ONE was answered the following day.

Of those that were answered, NOT ONE correctly resolved a simple prescription issue at hand. Which leads to more unnecessary messages and a greater load on what must be fewer and less experienced staff.

Direct phone calls to the doctor's office are still not possible (as they once were) to get urgent issues resolved. Instead, they've built a many-layered moat between themselves and their patients in the form of an atrocious "AI Assistant" that understand and resolves nothing, then a messaging service in India who can only forward messages, followed by another messaging service in India that will tell you they don't work with this doctor's office (and, to flip the script here, for me to let my doctor know).

(If you have high blood pressure, think twice about taking this route.)

Welcome to CORPORATE health care, folks! Profit above people. Margins and metrics over meaningful medical care.

This office is in a race to the bottom. And they're winning.

**TWO MONTHS AGO**

I have been a satisfied patient with Desert Family (now IMH) for years.

Until today.

Today, I opened the Healow app to send a message and found all my messages deleted and a pop-up saying to call the office to "enable
messaging."

That's when my afternoon blew up trying to reach someone who's actually in the office and able to help.

I called the office and was confronted with the first barrier to assistance, ie the new "AI Assistant" that turned out to be not just completely useless but extremely frustrating, as well.

Eventually, yelling "CONNECT ME TO A HUMAN!" seemed to be the password (take note) to a person who could help.

Except it wasn't. It turns out you're just transferred to yet another barrier to assistance in the form of an outsourced messaging service. This first time to someone from India.

The person advised I call the Follow My Health number to address the Healow app issue. When I finally connected with someone there (another person from India), I was told they don't work with the app and to call the office back again and advise them of this. (If you're bored reading this, imagine how much fun I'm having writing it.)

So I started all over again with the miserable AI Assistant (please, get off the trendy "AI" train, it's not doing your brand or your clients any favors).

And after I yelled through that barrier again, a completely new person with the messaging barrier answered requiring me to go through the whole identification process once again.

But they couldn't help me either, of course. Only forward my message to the office for a callback.

Which hasn't happened yet.

End result after all this was no result. No help. No resolution.

Your operators have hung up on me and I’ve had call back and repeat my story because it’s always someone different. I cannot call my drs office without going thru AI then an assistant who then calls the office to see if they can talk to me. All the while recording my info. Went to doctors office and was planning on seeing pa Steve. He walked into office not introducing himself and said " why am I even seeing you today. I am not your normal doctor and you have an appointment with he in 2 weeks.". I said that I recently had tests and was hoping for some answers. He said he has no idea about tests. The entire interaction was combative and I walked out to speak to office manager. I have gone to this facility for over 10 years. Steve was rude and walked in with a terrible attitude. I have since called office manager back and customer service and have not received call back to voice my concerns.

Arrived at the facility on time and we were immediately taken cared of by the receptionist. Sally the nurse practitioner immediately took our vitals and we got seated on the examining room. In a few minutes Steve our PA came over and discussed with us our lab results and concentrated on the abnormal findings and the possible cause and effects to our health. We were then ask if we have any concerns or complaints regarding our medical health and gave us his ideas and possible remedy/answers to our questions and finally he gave us 3 months repeat our blood exam and prescribe my Shingrix vaccine.it was a wholesome conversation and he answered all our concerns.

I am a lupus patient, i have lived in Nevada almost three years, i had been seeing one Primary Care Physician and the same Rheumatologist the entire time I've lived here, i have been les than pleased with both, i was seen by Dr Steven Henderson only once, his patient care manner is OUTSTANDING, INCOMPARABLE AND SECOND TO NONE, Dr Henderson took his time explaining my lab results to me line by line, he also explained to me all about my medications, i without a doubt can honestly say that i feel like a new person from my very first visit with Dr Henderson, and not to forget the professionalism of the office staff, I AM O E HAPPY PATIENT.

I went to Dr Heller from my foot pain and he said I had planter fasciitis. Over five months he put five shots of Cortizone in Left foot he said I had planter fasciitis but apparently not I decided to go to my family doctor Caprice Hutchinson and she said that the pain should have gone on for five months so she wants to do an x-ray and MRI on my foot she said that I may have a hairline fracture so she did me better than the foot doctor

My initial appointment was with Dr Henderson and it was not a goid experience. I told them I wanted to have my appointments only with Dr Dawood and they have accommodated me. I have only seen Dr Dawood twice and have had positive experiences thus far. I think I was spoiled with previous gps who made me feel like I had been going to them for years right from the beginning. I am not sure Dr Dawood actually knows who I am without reading my records but I am hoping that is just because I'm new to her and Covid19 has affected the way appts. are handled. I guess only time will tell. I definitely like the fact that her assistant calls me to follow up whenever there are issues. 2020 has been difficult for everyone and changed a lot of things. I'm sure I'll feel more comfortable with time and more visits. All in all, I am pleased with the care I am receiving and not planning to make any changes.
