First time patient. Knowing before my appt that they did not take my insurance. I was OKAYYY PAYING OUTTA POCKET. Front desk employee took my payment then refused to give me a paper copy receipt!.. proceeds to ask for my insurance card. I asked “why do u need that if you dont accept it”. He said “this appt is over you will not be seen”. I started filming as I stood there confused!.. I look gay and he didnt wanna service the lady who entered the office after me because he assumed we were together!! He refused to get the Doctor or anyone superior to him. Instead pretended to be on the phone with “security”. I simply left. BBB will hear from me.

I had a great experience with Dr. Castorino. He takes his time to hear all of my concerns. If I need refills Lexy is prompt at returning calls and helping me with my insurance requests. He’s the Best

I was doing a random internet search for an Endocrinologist and took a chance on Dr. Castorino. Glad I did!!!
Dr. Castorino demonstrated expert knowledge of my situation and I am shocked to see any negative reviews. No I am not paid to say this and he has no idea who I am typing this. I been going from doctor to doctor trying to find out what endocrinology health problems I have and this doctor has come the closest to giving me relief on how to go forward caring for my illness. So if your reading this review, please give him a chance for yourself and don't listen to these people that will keep you from getting the maximum care you deserve.

Excellent doctor who truly listens to my concerns. Did not fat shame me like other doctors have done in the past. Really listen to me and offered help with my issues instead of telling me I need a gastric bypass!!!! Would definitely recommend Dr. C

I can’t really speak to any staffing issue people have mentioned I’ve only met Lexi and she has always been helpful and patient. Doctor Castrino has been an experience, he’s obviously actually passionate about medical science and progress and integrates that into his care, he’s knowledgeable but not arrogant, but he also doesn’t beat around the bush when it comes to your health. Appointments used to be a nerve wracking experience for me so I’m pleasantly surprised by this practice.

Dr. Castorino is the best. He actually takes the time to listen to your concerns and what you have to say in addition to treating your issues accordingly. He’s a professional and someone who has a heart for his patients. He’s easy going and easy to talk to. During my first appointment he made me feel like I’ve been there for years and like we’ve known each other for more.
Front desk staff was great as well, friendly welcoming.

Dr. Castorino is a phenomenal doctor and is incredibly smart, caring and compassionate. The same cannot be said for his staff. Whoever the front desk guy is that is there is rude, condescending and additionally laughed at me when I brought up that my wife was out of her medicine and what were we supposed to do because they evidently stopped carrying our insurance (without notifying us). On multiple occasions he’s been rude for god knows what reason. Even after they stopped taking our insurance we wanted to still see Dr. C. and pay out of pocket but the disgusting behavior continued from the front desk worker who claims we aren’t welcome back as clients after we’ve been there the last 3 years. Unacceptable and unprofessional which is a shame for a Dr. as incredible as Dr. Castorino.

I searched and searched for a Doctor to listen to me. All my blood work said I was fine but have several nodules on thyroid. Every other doctor called me an enigma ( unsolvable puzzle). Dr.C listened to me and has solved my dilemma. He is fantastic and his staff has always been kind and understanding! 👍😁

Dr. Castorino is extremely kind and has a great bedside manner. The same cannot be said for a couple of staff members. When calling, expect to be put on an immediate and seemingly indefinite hold without even a hello. Also, billing and prescription questions are not followed up at all, requiring additional calls just to be put on hold. The stress from these shortcomings negates the fact that the Dr. is awesome. I am very sad.

This practice is terrific. Dr. Castorino showed a genuine willingness to understand and listen to my concerns. The visit I experienced showed me he takes time with his patients to help them with their health issues. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist. He was knowledgeable, sensitive, informative… I immediately felt at ease – and felt confident in my receiving expert medical care. Staff was great, too. Walked away, very impressed w. the overall experience.… Those who have not actually seen him and review poorly don’t realize how wrong they are. Honestly. If you haven’t undergone his medical treatment why leave a review in the first place?

I always check reviews, especially about doctors.... as a potential patient of Dr.Castorino, when I read the responses that they give, like this 🤪, or calling a patient Deb instead of Debbie or Miss, I definitely do not want to deal with such immature people. Who do they have responding to reviews? A 5 years old... (no offense to any other 5 years old....) ... and yes we can leave a review even if we're not a patient.... 😊

Dr. C is the best doctor I have ever seen. He was much more than an endocrinologist for me, he listens to ALL your concerns whether that be related to endocrinology or not. He is not condescending like other doctors and actually listens to the patients wants and needs. Nate at the front desk was always extremely pleasant and had good vibes overall. No long waits, easy scheduling.

I don’t understand the hate... no doctor is ever perfect but THIS doctor listened to me. I couldn’t lose weight by all imaginable standards and most doctors would just tell me “I was fine and probably eating too much” (I am a personal trainer; I am familiar with calories in and calories out, macros, and weighing food...). Dr. Castorino fixed me.
He is not your typical doctor. He is open minded. He doesn’t care to wear clothes to appease your taste, he is a doctor not a fashion model.
Sometimes there were some misunderstandings with scheduling with the staff, but like I said.. nobody is perfect and off days exist for everyone.
Ask questions, he is not easily intimidated and won’t be offended if you do (unlike most condescending doctors out there who will just disregard your questions because you don’t have the MD title).

Dr. Stephen Castorino is my great Endo Dr. He has good character, nice to talk to. He is open minded regarding different thyroid selections to see what works best with you. Unlike other Drs. Ive met that are not willing to prescribe desiccated hormone. Good patient friendly environment.

This Dr. Is patient and talks to you about the issue and how we can solve it . The nurses are nice and they even have a text messaging system ! You can text them and they will help you . Im happy and they are affordable and honest . My thyroid levels are balanced and I feel amazing . Highly reccomend !

1) $25 fee to schedule for new patients. That is a ridiculous and money grabbing tactic.
2) My appt was at 9:30, spent an hour there and saw the MD for 5 min.
2a) No heads up and no apology from MD about wait time. Front desk gave no heads up as well
3) Didn't introduce himself when he walked in, was just taking his own BP and sat down. My BP was abnormally low and he didn't address or ask about that at all.
4) Someone said that having 3 people in the waiting room was a sign of "not hurting for business." quite the opposite. If he wasn't worried about patients showing up he would be double/triple/quadruple booked at time slots so he could be ON TIME with the patients he does schedule.
5) He seemed knowledgeable but go 0 hands on time and didn't ask about medical history. Poor form. Going to get my bloodwork done and will not be returning. Businesses like this are why healthcare is failing physicians and patients.

Despite a couple of the reviews below, I have always been treated with kindness and respect in this office. Nate at the front desk is very nice and helpful and Dr. C- well what can I say? I love him and he always takes time to hear me, my concerns, and discuss treatments. I have been going here now for about 5 years and would not go anywhere else. Someone asked me for a recommendation and of course I told them Dr. C. Then I came here and read some of the reviews. Don't let them scare you away.

Would you rather have a Dr. in a nice white starched coat who half listens and only is in the room for 5 minutes? Or a Dr. who dresses casual (not Goodwill but even if it was who cares?), is relaxed, and listens to everything you tell him? He has spent over 30 minutes with me before! This is unheard of in this town.

Bottom line- you get the attention, advice, and treatment you need at this office. No need to go anywhere else.

I’ll be happy to elaborate! I was searching to find an Endo doc, came across your practice, read the reviews and was struck by a response to a patients “one star” review. If in fact that was one of your physicians responding to a patient, in regards to her/his care... that physician(s) needs to re-think how literally ridiculous he/she has made your practice look. Small, nasty and a child-like response to a patients concerns!
BTW, it’s Deborah NOT Deb. Respect is apparently not a skill this office is proficient in.

I live out of town, and they are very accommodating when I can't make it on time. I did have a fee one time, but that is to be expected.
I have gone to Dr. Litchfield's for years. My insurance dropped their office, so I was no longer able to go. I think it was good for me to switch for many reasons.
He seems to listen to all of my concerns. He asks pertinent questions. Everything that I would need. I am a thyroid cancer survivor, and so it is nice to have someone that seems to pay attention to the blood work and he went through it all very thoroughly with me.

Wow what an amazing staff this place has. This was the greatest Service I've ever had in a doctor's office. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and polite to me. The Lady in the office was very sweet and seemed to truly care about me and what I was there for. The doctor got toe quickly and was aavery kind and friendly man. All in all this was easily they best experience I've ever had at a doctors office and they have gained a patient for life with me.

Why does this dr have 2 different websites its the same stupid dr
Dr Castorino is the stupidest dr alive...He comes to work unshowered his hair uncombed....Like he just rolled out of bed and threw on some 1970's clothes that look like they were bought at Goodwill...mubbles the whole time asks questions of himself and seems very unsure of himself. His nurse is rude as hell and very mean...He never tried any new medications with me and it was obvious I needed it according to my lab work...The insulin I was on he said come back when you are ready to dial it up?....suggested gastric by pass even tho I've told I'm not a candidate for it due to prior intestinal surgeries
Then charges me for rescheduling my appointments? Wouldn't see me unless I paid something of the $50 I supposedly owed?....What happen to a Good dr that was more concerned about the patient then his pocket ?
