I can’t say enough good things about my primary care physician, Dr. Buttrum. She is, without a doubt, the best doctor I’ve ever had. From the very first visit, I felt truly seen and heard. She treats our relationship as a partnership, and that makes a huge difference in how I approach my health.
She is open, attentive, warm, and genuinely empathetic, while also being confident and knowledgeable. What stands out most is how present she is during appointments—she focuses on me, not a computer screen. It feels like she shows up as a human being first, who also happens to be an excellent doctor, and that creates a level of trust that’s hard to find.
She is incredibly thorough at every visit. She consistently asks thoughtful questions about how I’m feeling and takes the time to do a full physical check, including examining my throat, ears, heart, and abdomen. I never feel rushed, and I always leave feeling like nothing was overlooked.
Another thing I deeply appreciate is how she handles referrals. Instead of giving just one option, she provides a well-considered list of several specialists to choose from. Because of her, I now have an outstanding care team, including my gynecologist, cardiologist, physical therapist, and dermatologist.
Her office is equally impressive. Prescription refills are handled promptly, and both the front desk and patient portal are responsive and efficient. The office itself is clean, modern, and welcoming, with plenty of convenient parking.
It’s rare to find a doctor who combines clinical excellence with such genuine care and respect for her patients. I feel very fortunate to be under her care.

I found Avandy Medical about a year ago, and I was quite pleased because my experience with other locations were not good. However, I received an email stating they are moving into a concierge’s style medical facility which I could not afford. It was about an additional $2000 out-of-pocket. I had an appointment today, December 4, 2025, but got a call earlier about two weeks ago to cancel my appointment due to my PA quitting. The female that called me did not seem very versed or very helpful in this situation. I asked to be placed with another doctor however she said they didn’t have one. I asked to get a call from an office manager, but that never happened which is why I’m writing this bad review. I know Healthcare is completely messed up, but I thought doctors take an oath to help people. For those of you that might consider a concierge medical facility. It seems like they have a long way to go to make you feel special for that additional money.

Horrible communication with office staff. Rude, seem to always be having a bad day. Poor listeners, and wait until you get to appointment to say IT had to be cancelled with no prior communication. This is the worst doctors office I have ever been to. They have no problem, violating HIPAA and nothing you tell them is confidential. They are turning to a concierge system where people have to pay a membership and then on top of it pay their co-pay for their insurance, I do not recommend getting caught up in this office. I have been a patient since they opened. When I got Dr. Buttrum, things were great. I haven't had a good experience with any of her PAs, especially Tina. She can't get a prescription or referral done right, kept sending my script to the wrong pharmacy 4 times. It took over 2 months and many calls on my part to get out done. It takes over 2 months to get into see Dr.Buttrum. I need to find another PCP.

This office was AWFUL from start to finish and I will NEVER be back. From not being able to manage sending me paperwork before my appointment because they spelled GMAIL incorrectly, to ordering the wrong test, to a nurse half my age coming at me like a school principal and telling me after 25 minutes of waiting and another nurse instructing me to go to the lobby to wait "this would have all been explained to you if you had waited in the room like you were told to!", it is an absolute disgrace. The nurse practitioner Alicia is wonderful! She looked at my chart before coming in so she somewhat knew my medical history.
Great understanding of my needs and made a plan of action.
Not a negative, but due to many businesses in the area, parking can be a bit hard to find. Also, even though friendly, the MA could be more professional.

I’ve been coming to this office for several years. In the beginning, I was genuinely impressed—not only was the doctor I saw (not Dr. Avandy) exceptional, but the entire staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. The nurses were attentive, and the overall experience was consistently positive.

About a year and a half ago, that doctor left, and I was transitioned to a nurse practitioner. While I was initially hesitant, she proved to be very capable, and the staff continued to provide great service. Unfortunately, she has since left as well, and the changes that followed have been disappointing.

The staff has completely turned over, and the current team lacks the professionalism and courtesy that once defined this office. I’ve experienced repeated issues with my prescriptions not being updated at the pharmacy, and there seems to be no urgency or accountability in resolving the matter.

Today, I arrived four minutes late for my appointment after driving across town and encountering traffic delays due to accidents. It took the staff a few minutes to acknowledge me, and by the time they did, I was told I had missed the five-minute cutoff and would need to reschedule. I also asked for clarification about my prescription issues but was not given a clear or helpful response.

Unfortunately, due to how difficult it is to find a new provider in Las Vegas right now, I’m left with limited options. I sincerely hope to find a better alternative soon, but until then, I’m stuck managing my care through what has become a frustrating and unprofessional experience.

My husband sees someone at this practice and she was very nice. Unfortunately, she was not accepting new patients, so I just scheduled with whoever was available. The medical assistant that came in was super nice. She was the only positive experience at this practice. The nurse who I saw was Tina. The clinic is full of incompetent and rude staff.
No notice was given for appointment cancellation, and we were only told about it when we got to the clinic. The only response from the staff was that they had notified us and there was nothing they could do.
On the occasion that the provider was available, they were rude and didn't listen to the concerns properly and seemed to just want to end the appointment and get out of there. They have attitudes and have a weird superiority complex. Highly unprofessional, laughing in the corridors and while discussing patient care.
Providers schedules seem to change on a dime, one week they are available Wed - Fri. The next they have changed it and now are available Mon - Wed.
Appointments are few and far between, and cancellations are regular.
Front desk staff are incredibly rude, they tend to ignore phone calls over the course of multiple hours if you just want information, but will answer as soon as you call from a different number. They disguise their incompetence and lack of work ethic, behind the excuse "I just work the front desk". Even asking them a simple question, they try to side step it and not provide any resolution. They will randomly start giggling like little children while they are on the phone with you (both male and female staff), and will be unresponsive.
Also based on the reviews they don't respond to criticism or patient problems at all. The make you feel as if they are doing you a favor by letting you be a patient.
This is based on two years of being a patient at the clinic, not just one bad experience. Avoid this clinic and the providers. All this is coming from someone who's worked in the field and knows what it's like to be providing patient care.

I live across town but come here for my physicals and primary care because they were recommended to me. Last year, they treated me very well for my intake and a physical, plus referrals for normal things like blood testing. Typically a 15-minute appointment. Quick in and out. This year, they informed me that I would no longer see the doctor and would see an RN or NP instead... OK, oftentimes nurses are faster, nicer, and just as competent as doctors. The care here was once very good, so I kept an open mind, even though they didn't ask about my preferences for a provider at all. De. Neville, whom I liked very much, left the practice, and they didn't inform anyone or offer alternatives.

Update: I have read 2 other reviews recently with other people who had a similar experience to mine. Let me ask, did you notice they only reply to positive reviews...? I'm much happier with another provider in my area.

I showed up exactly 10 min late to my appointment. When I arrived, there were 2 people in line in front of me. I stepped out to move my vehicle to the open spot in front and came back less than 5 minutes later. They have a 10-minute late policy and informed me "we have to reschedule your appointment," even after explaining I had arrived within the time limit and was waiting to be helped.

I'm typically fairly cooperative and even easy to please. That was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. I asked them to cancel instead, so I can find another provider that treats their patients fairly. We are human beings, not cattle, and we should be treated with the appropriate dignity (nothing against cattle).

They were never rude or unprofessional. I just cannot accept their policy, especially given the change in my provider which was dictated to me. They never asked about my preferences for my provider and simply took it upon themselves to assign me one. I did not drive across town to be treated like that. Other, more convenient providers have a more reasonable policy, are more understanding of patients' circumstances, and treat their patients with greater dignity and respect.

I suspect the quality of the care and service here is declining, as often happens when a provider is successful and management takes it for granted. It's probably for the best I find another provider anyway.

My husband and I started coming to Avandy last year and met with Dr. Neville, who we both had a good experience with. I booked a follow up with her and was told she no longer works at the practice. I then met with an NP named Amy, who I also really liked, and the same thing happened when trying to book a follow-up appointment with her. The office will not inform you if a provider leaves, so be prepared not to see the same person more than once!

I finally met with a different NP and had a good experience, but when my labs came back abnormal and I needed a medication change, I was told she had no openings for 2 months and no one else in the office had openings either. I was left with the only option of looking for a different provider. This is not acceptable!

The other issue is not being able to reach anyone at the office. I called 5 times and left 4 voicemails without a single return call. The only time I got a call back was after direct messaging the NP through the portal to see if she knew I was trying to make an appointment.

I am giving 1 star only because I have liked the 3 different providers that I've seen, and the facility is nice. However, the front desk staff, phone etiquette, and understaffing of providers leaves a lot to be desired! As a nurse, I understand that working in healthcare is hard, but the way this place is running is unacceptable and unsafe.

I usually consult with Dr. Buttrum, but today due to last minute appointment they said they will give appointment with another doctor and her name is Tina. When I entered the room the nurse told me that nurse practitioner will come, so then only I came to know that it’s not a doctor. I hope that she will as knowledgeable as Dr. Buttrum, but the result is very disappointing. I had an appointment with Tina for regarding my rashes that appeared on my hand and entire legs, this lady even didn’t take time to look into my rashes or even didn’t do any normal procedures like listening to breathing, check my eye or ears or skin for any color change.. she was standing with her laptop, I mentioned all my symptoms wishing she will take a look into my skin .. she concluded that it might be allergies and I ask her do I have to do blood work also mention some of the test that I feel like I don’t have jaundice…Unfortunately, I left the appointment feeling very dissatisfied. The doctor seemed disinterested in my concerns and did not engage in a detailed discussion or look into my symptoms. Despite my attempts to share my medical history like recent tooth work and may be the pain killers affect my liver thinking that she will look into my skin or eyes any place to see if I have yellow color. Overall, I did not feel heard or properly assessed during my visit, and I do not feel comfortable for further treatment. The office staff was polite, but the lack of attention from the doctor made this a disappointing experience.

I love Avandy! I’ve never had a primary care physician before and honestly was expecting a not so thorough consult, but Alicia wwas amazing! She went and goes above and beyond by proactively requesting my medical records from all my specialists, asking detailed questions about my health etc. Mind you, all of this and I was just going for my annual pap-smear.

As a woman with a breast cancer history, and recently moved to Vegas, this level of care is hard to find and very important to have.

My previous doctor I had for 9 years sold her practice at the end of 2021. I was devastated because she was a great doctor. I went to Anthem Hills Medical Center and was told my insurance would only allow me to see a nurse practitioner. When I told my gynecologist, she said it was illegal for them to tell me that so I stopped going there. I had searched for a new doctor for 6 months and my daughter-in-law referred me to Avandy Medical. Dr Buttrum. and Shanelle are very courteous, professional and caring. I never feel rushed, they explain things step by step and listen to my concerns and updates of what I have been doing since my last visit. Dr Buttrum has a soothing and calming voice. Starting with the office: The Avandy Medical Office is always clean, well organized and the staff are great. Very patient. I’ve never waited longer than 10 minutes for my appointment. So my wife and I have been going to Avandy Medical now for almost 2+ years. My wife thinks Mandy (the owner) is one of the best primary care doctors she has ever had, and I had Dr. Neville (who moved on to California back in April) and since then I can also give Amy one of their two NPs and all of their MAs 5 stars. Of course, the front Office has been the big issue over the past two years. So much so that I was seriously thinking of moving on again because I’m with an HMO which is all that’s available on the marketplace and I heavily rely on the referral process to get to see my specialists. Now from the many one star reviews here, as in lack of callbacks on voice messages or when they actually do call back or they happen to pick up, which is a chance of one in 20, they’re rude and short. I resorted to simply driving over there to get the referrals I needed. Also, they had big problems with the portal service where they have to upload referrals to the specialist. I can say that in the last four weeks Mandy seems to have cleaned up the staffing issue in the front office and they moved to a better portal service. So hopefully this will resolve the issues. In the meantime, Mandy, make sure you keep an eye on how the front office is performing. And by the way, for those of you thinking of writing reviews, it’s really unfair to give a practice a one star when you like the doctors but don’t like the front office. The average front office here in Clark County sucks and gets at best a two star rating by me. Anyway, let’s hope these changes work and I can stay with this practice!

Ever since Dr. Neville left getting my prescriptions filled in a timely manner is near impossible. I have to call at least 3-4 times never getting a call back. Apparently no one works in the office to ever answer a call anymore. I have several times gone without my important diabetic meds for more than 2 weeks at a time. The office used to be great. I hope they fix whatever mess is going on.
